Lost Love
July 16 – Day 6 Chenford Week 23 – Get Creative Day

Tim and Angela were sitting together on the leather couch in Tim's penthouse apartment in Hollywood and Angela was staring at him like he was crazy.
Angela: You want to do what?
Tim: You heard me the first time Ang, I would like to shadow your captain for a couple of weeks.
Angela: But why?
Tim: In order for me to properly bring this character to life I need to know how real police captains run their station.
Angela: So, can't your director find you someone to shadow?
Tim: Yeah, but I trust you more Angela.
Angela: I don't think this is a good idea Tim.
Tim: Why not?
Angela: First of all, my captain is female, and you are
Tim: A boy? So, who cares?
Angela: And second my captain does not usually let actors into the station, like ever. Says she hates actors.
Tim: Can't you just ask her for me, please.
Angela: Fine, but don't get to upset when she says no.
Tim: Thank you, you're the best.
The next day Angela walked into the LAPD Hollywood division station and went straight for the captain's office. Angela took a deep breath and then knocked.
Angela: Captain Chen, you have a minute?
Lucy: Sure, come in Detective. What can I do for you?
Angela: I have an odd question and I know you will probably say no, and it's okay if you do but I
Lucy: Detective Lopez?
Angela: Yes mam
Lucy: What's going on?
Angela: My best friend is an actor who got a new role as a police captain, and he wanted to come to the station to shadow you for a little while to better understand how the job works.
Lucy: Detective, I'm sure you've heard my speech before on actors
Angela: I have
Lucy: So why do you think I would possibly say yes to this?
Angela: Captain, with all due respect mam, I know you believe that all actors cannot be trusted, and I believe that you have a good reason to think that way but my friend, despite his chosen profession is one of the most trustworthy men I've ever known.
Lucy: Sounds like you really like this guy
Angela: I do.
Lucy: And if he wanted to shadow a detective, would you trust him enough to shadow you?
Angela: I would.
Lucy: Okay, so here is my one and only offer. He can come to the station and shadow you.
Angela: But
Lucy: And when I have the time and I'm available he can come to talk to me and watch me. But for the majority of the day, he will be with you.
Angela: Thank you.
Lucy: And Detective Lopez?
Angela: Yes mam
Lucy: Don't ever try to bend my rules again.
Angela: Wouldn't dream of it, mam.
Lucy: Uh huh. Now get back to work please, your cases will not solve themselves.
The next week, Lucy was sitting at her desk when once again there was a knock on her door. She looked up and saw that it was Angela again.
Angela: Captain Chen, you have a minute?
Lucy: Only a minute, what's going on?
Angela: My friend the actor is here today, I was wondering when it would be a good time for me to introduce him to you.
Lucy: I have a couple of minutes now; you can bring him up to my office.
Angela: Okay, I'll be right back.
Several minutes later Lucy was walking in the hallway when she looked up and saw Angela with her friend. Lucy stopped and stared, not sure if what she was seeing was actually true and before she could totally process what was happening Tim ran over to her and placed his lips on hers, kissing her passionately while he picked her up and twirled her around.
Angela was very confused; she had never seen Tim or Lucy like this before, but she didn't know what to say. She didn't even know that they knew each other, but by the look of that kiss they clearly weren't strangers. Angela was about to ask what was going on when Lucy started talking.
Lucy: Baby! Oh, baby it's really you, Tim this is really you! I never thought I'd ever get to see you again! Let alone like this.
Tim: After everything Angela told me about her captain, I was hoping it was you.
Lucy: Detective Lopez, you can get back to work now. Tim will be with me for the rest of the day. When your shift is over you can come up here and walk him out.
Angela: Captain Chen are you sure? I know you didn't really want him to shadow you.
Lucy: Tim is always welcome here.
Angela: Tim will you be, okay?
Tim: Better than okay. I'll see you later.
They watch as Angela goes back downstairs to her desk and Tim goes into Lucy's office with her. Once again Tim kisses Lucy with all the love in the world and Lucy only pulls away when she needs air.
Lucy: I still can't believe that you are really here! It's been so long baby
Tim: 7 years, 1 month and 19 days to be exact. How have you been?
Lucy: Well, I got promoted
Tim: Again.
Lucy: And I still love being a cop. How about you?
Tim: I got the lead role in a new TV series!
Lucy: Baby, that's amazing! I'm so proud of you. Is this job everything you dreamed it would be?
Tim: It is. I miss you every day though.
Lucy: I know, but
Tim was about to say something when there was a knock on the door.
Angela: Tim I'm leaving for the day; you want a ride home?
Tim looks at Lucy then back at Angela
Lucy: Go, I still have so much to do here today.
Tim: Are you sure?
Lucy: Yeah. You will be back tomorrow?
Tim: Wouldn't dream of being anywhere else.
Lucy: Than I'll see you tomorrow.
Tim kisses Lucy again then pulls away when Angela clears her throat. Tim looks at Lucy with all the love in the world before moving towards the door near Angela.
Tim: Lucy, I love you.
Tim and Angela walked out of the station in silence. As soon as the door closed behind them Angela stopped and put her hand in front of Tim, stopping him as well.
Angela: Okay Tim, spill it. What the hell happened here today?
Tim: Remember the girl I fell in love within high school?
Angela: The one you married before you became famous?
Tim: Yeah.
Angela: What about her?
Tim: That girl is Lucy Chen.
Angela: So, Captain Chen is
Tim: My wife.
