Chapter 1: Interlude.
( On the Grassy Plains)
A republic ship crash landed on the grassy plains. As Clones made a camp fire, and a makeshift tent for Anakin Skywalker who is wounded severely due to an explosion, outside of his tent would be Aayla Secura along with Ahsoka Tano, Captain Rex and Commander Bly.
"Anakin doesn't have much time. We have to find help Tonight." Aayla would say in a French like accent, as she looks down at his unconscious form along with Bly and Ahsoka .
"Okay. You and Bly go south. Rex and I will stay here with Anakin." Ashoka suggested
"No, Ahsoka in order to get help quickly we must work together." Aayla would say with a shake of her head.
"I can't leave him! Master I know if I was hurt he'd never leave me behind" Ahsoka would protest
"I know this is hard Ahsoka, but Anakin had to stay behind. And we have to go now. There is nothing more we can do for him." Aayla would say with a stern expression not liking this anymore than she did, her gaze would soften.
"We must do all we can to get off this planet. As a Jedi it is your duty to do. For what is best for the group." Aayla would say softly putting her hands on Ashoka's shoulders. As the Togrunta teen sighed and looked towards the sun that was setting.
"General Secura Look." Bly would say holding a tablet with a drawing on it handing it to her.
"We're not the only ones here on this planet. There has to be some kind of something here." Bly adds as they inspected the drawing of what looks like a giant tree. A four legged creature and another life form that is holding a spear pointing it at the creature.
Suddenly the group heard a roar out there in those grassy plains.
Rex and several clones were instantly on guard turning on their headgear flashlights and had their blasters ready.
"If you don't mind me asking General Secura? Where exactly are we going?" Commander Bly asked with two other clones besides him.
"To go find the people who live on this planet." She answered facing him.
"Where are we going to find them?, we have no idea where they are." He asked.
"It seems to me the people we are looking for live near giant trees." Ahsoka would point out putting the tablet in her backpack.
"Very Perceptive Padawan." Aayla complimented looking at Ahsoka watching her kneel down facing Anakin.
"Be Strong Master." Ahsoka says to her unconscious master.
"Just a little bit longer, Rex will watch over you." She says.
"It's time to go." Aayla would say with her hands on her curvy hips.
"Don't worry kid, I'll take good care of him." Rex assured as Ahsoka would nod to his way and stood up getting ready to go.
"Captain Rex, keep your locator on. We should be back by daybreak with whoever or whatever lives on this planet." Aayla would say walking by him.
"Got it General Secura." He says holding his helmet as his eyes looked towards Ahsoka.
"Hey kid... good luck." Rex says with a nod towards her as she in turn nodded.
"Come on, guys let's move out." Aayla says as Aayla, Ahsoka along with Bly and a few clones walked away to go find help for Anakin to heal him up while Rex stood on guard.
As they left the area leaving just Rex who was guarding Anakin. They were unaware that they were being watched from afar.
From a very far distance on a hill was a silhouette watching.
the figure wore a cloak and hood, that shows blue eyes. It's gaze was focused on Anakin Skywalker is unconscious and wounded judging by the bandages. Along with a familiar hilt on his waist, meaning he is a Jedi. As it's eyes went to the armored figure sitting infront of the tent with a blaster. The figure would walk into the tall grass heading right for that location.
( A little later)
It was night, as Rex still sat near Anakin's tent holding a blaster carbine. It wasn't until he heard some twigs snap someplace in the tall grass, he looked sharp as he turned towards his general who was still unconscious, then looked back at the grass as he stood up turning on his headgear flashlights looking around the grass. Firmly gripping the blaster in his hands as she walked around.
As he walked around the camp it seemed like there was nothing.
in the tall grass a four legged creature with a beak stared intently at Anakin's tent.
Anakin would shift and turn, as he opened his eyes slightly, he would attempt to raise up a little facing the tall grass and saw something, he saw the creature, narrowing his eyes he got up and clutched his side but suddenly he fell face down
"General?" Rex says concerned running to him putting the blaster down.
"Are you all right?" Rex asks as Anakin looks up to him weakly
"Be...Behind you." Anakin warned weakly. Rex would turn around only to be greeted by the sight of the creature that would pounce on him and bit his arm yanking him in the air and slamming him, making him drop his carbine blaster.
The creature was fixated on him as it rounded on him, he crawled back but the creature moved in on him as he held it back. He tries to reach for his side arm and aimed but the creature brought its talon down on his arm preventing him from shooting.
Anakin struggled to get up and tried to help his captain but he was too weak to even move that he passed out. Slumped face down.
The silhouette would also come out of the long grass, watching the creature trying to kill the armored man as it would attempt to bite Rex but the clone captain used his other hand to keep it from biting into him. Suddenly it's focus fell on Anakin as it moved swiftly and quietly towards him.
Rex was still struggling with the creature as he shot its talon making it screech in pain, it would hop over Rex who turned on his stomach and aimed and fired point blank at the fleeing creature with his pistol.
However It managed to escape. After that Rex would pass out as well. Unaware that his general had been taken.
( Morning in the village of pods)
Ahsoka, Aayla and Bly made it to the village. They recently lost three clones on their way here attacked by those creatures last night.
As they made it, they had pleaded with the villager chief for help to heal Anakin.
Ahsoka being the most to plea for help managed to get through to the village chief.
"I cannot ignore a plea of help, I will send my son Wag too, to help your friend. He is a healer but only one Jedi may go with him, the other must stay as insurance we wouldn't want a surprise attack on our village. Or the kidnapping of our only healer." The Village Chief says
"Bly and I will stay. Padawan go and help your master." Aayla says looking at Ahsoka.
"No, the clone and his blaster cannot stay. He will go with the youngling. " The Village chief says pointing to Bly then pointed to Ahsoka
"I can handle it. I don't need help." Ahsoka says
"Ahsoka." Aayla says firmly
"Don't worry." Ahsoka replied facing the Blue twi'lek
"Be mindful of your surroundings Padawan. Those creatures are still out there." Aayla says with warning as Ahsoka nodded.
"Got it, we won't be long." Ahsoka says now running along with Wag too and Bly following her.
( With Rex)
Rex slowly got up clutching his head. He looked around and noticed it was daybreak. He sighed as he began to remember what happened last night he turned over to the tent to find it empty.
Wait, what?! Empty!?
He got up in urgency running over to the tent.
"Oh no..." Rex groaned
"Rex! We are here!" Ahsoka would say now appearing with Bly and Wag too. Her eyes looked concerned as she noticed the tent empty. Widening her eyes in alarm she faced the captain.
"Rex what happened? Where is Anakin?!" She asked.
"I don't know... we were attacked last night... a beaked creature came here and attacked us, it tried to go for General Skywalker. I managed to scare it off then everything went black for me, I woke up just as horrified as you are now." Rex explained.
"We have to find him!" Ahsoka says worried for her master as she told Rex that they were also attacked by those creatures last night.
"Rex, Commander Tano, over here." Bly would say as they marched over with wag too following.
"What is it Bly?" Rex asked as the commander pointed to the ground as they saw footprints.
"Footprints...?" Ahsoka says as her eyes followed the prints that it came from the tall grass.
"So someone kidnapped your friend?" Wag too asked.
"It looks like it... it seems we aren't the only ones on this planet..." Ahsoka says facing the direction of where those foot prints are.
"We have to find him. Along with whoever took him." Ahsoka says.
( Meanwhile with Anakin)
The man groaned as he raised up, getting to know his surroundings... where is he? In a cave? A cave of some sorts?. He noticed a draft in the cave he was shirtless and has on bandages. The last thing he remembered was trying to warn Rex that they were going to be attacked? Did Rex bring him here? He tried to find his captain.
"Rex? Where are you?" Anakin called out.
No answer.
He got up.
"You are awake. You need more rest." Says a voice as Anakin looked around
"Who are you? Where am I?" He demanded as he looked to the right corner and saw the silhouette reveal itself to be a human woman. Wearing a cloak she had blue eyes. Blonde hair.
"You are in my home. My name is Sil." Sil introduced herself facing Anakin.
"Sil? Strange name. So you're the one that is healing me?" He asks seeing her nod.
"Of course. I've patched you up and healed you." Sil would reply
"Thanks.. I guess." He would say watching her walk over to him and lay him back down.
"You need more rest. My serum will help you get better." She says facing him.
"Any idea on what planet am I on? I need to get back with my Padawan along with Aayla I like to assume that they probably went off looking for help since I noticed the ship crashed." he asks.
"I am unsure what is the name of this system. I've been here on this planet for a decade." Sil replied as Anakin raised a brow.
"Your stranded too?" He asked as she nodded.
"Yes. My ship crashed here decades ago. I've adjusted to living here alone." Sil answered as she had flashbacks of her Ship crashing here decades ago... trapped stranded and fighting off these beasts.
"Maybe when I regroup with my team and student if they managed to find a way off the planet we could take you back to the republic." He suggested as a brow lifted from sil.
The republic... she hasn't heard that name or place in a very long time since her creation. When she was created by her "Sith" Masters..
"The republic? What is it like now?" She asked as Anakin told her some bits about the republic. She was intrigued.. so much has changed. Since her stay here. The old republic has changed its ways...
The very same old Republic... and Jedi Order that had her kind exterminated...
The great purge of her kind... she is the sole survivor... who managed to escape.
Her and her kind were created by the Sith Empire back in the old era of the old republic.
A part of her vows vengeance against the Jedi order and the Republic who killed her kind.
"Judging from that weapon on your belt. You are a Jedi?" She asked
"Yes. Something tells me you've met a Jedi?" He asks as she nods.
"Tell me. What are the Jedi order like now?" Sil would ask as Anakin frowned lightly. She noticed the frown on his face.
"Well for one thing. We still aren't allowed to form attachments.. along with becoming peacekeepers for the Galaxy. We are now fighting a war against the separatist." Anakin would say telling her about the Clone wars along with fighting the faction CIS the separatist a Droid army faction led by a Sith Lord Count Dooku along with general grevious.
"interesting, you never told me your name Jedi." Sil says while Anakin looked a bit embarrassed that he stroked the back of his head.
"Anakin. Anakin Skywalker is my name." Anakin Answered.
"A Pleasure meeting you Anakin. I will return. Allow me to bring you some food." She says walking away
"Thanks Sil." Anakin would say as he laid down. As he wondered what Serum did she use to heal him?
Little did he know, was that his genes.. and DNA was being rearranged.
Maybe when he's finally In good shape and regroup with Ahsoka. Aayla, possibly Rex and Bly they'll find a way off this planet along with taking Sil with them, since Anakin feels indebted to her for healing him.
