RWBY: Foresworn

Chapter VIII: Some Times You're the Windshield, Some Times You're the Bug

(Belladonna Residence)

Ghira calmly stared down the Huntspersonel in front of him "In essence, the rumours we have heard are true. As in the White Fang, Grimmand Atlas's Mechanical Security; launched an assault on Beacon High School, where all of you instead of deciding to cut and run decided to stand and fight?"

Adam nodded "Correct, Sir. My Team and I at the time had to split up in order to make much more headway into stalling the invasion; we've gathered the unfortunate title of 'little monsters'. The smallest of us is Damania, the rest of us are over and around six foot. Our leader, he's human told us that 'our fight is his fight'…He was…interesting. You might like him, after you've punched him for being more of a blunt force object."

Ghira chuckled "Black hair, silver and red eyes and a temper to rival a Lion?"

"Less of a lion father, more like a thunderstorm. Completely whimsical, sarcastic, questioning and insolent to a degree that would infuriate Sienna." Blake chimed in.

Adam, who'd been close to Sienna's counsel snorted "Blake, everything infuriates her. For all her bluster, she'd either draw Harry's ire or they'd get along like a house on fire."

Ghira nodded, granted during his time in the White Fang; they'd been much more peaceful. He wouldn't be violent of the sake of being violent, he'd served in the Military! He wouldn't willingly take up arms again, hence why he'd left the White Fang. But, it broke his heart to see the organisation he'd been so involved in disintegrate and degenerate into the group it now was. "Where is he?"

"He's been called away to deal with in his words 'an extremely putrid wound in his backside', he didn't want to go. But knows that this 'wound in his backside' is much worse if left to fester and mixes with this political climate." Nanuuk said.

Ghira thumped the table "Sometimes You're the Windshield, Sometimes You're the Bug…Do you think I'll be able to meet him? He does sound like someone who I could debate with."

Damania, thought for a moment "As long as you, are able to be honest and frank with him. Harry, doesn't ask for much other than to be treated like any other sentient would want to be; with respect and decency."

Ghira nodded "I can work with that. He sounds like an interesting character."

DANK nodded "He's definitely interesting, Chieftain Belladonna." Kobi murmured.

Ghira turned to Kobi "What possessed you to come here?"

"My clan won't miss me. We're not the most collected of people, plus, they Team HAND, adopted me. Told me that 'if I went with them, I wouldn't be bored'. No-one likes me when I'm bored, my semblance is explosion and I tend to use tyres."

Ghira chuckled "Does your fondness for pyrotechnicals and explosives extend to fireworks?"

"That is does, chieftain. Why?"

"I might have a job for you, I have no problem with you staying. In Menagerie, everyone helps out. If you could keep the firework makers from blowing up…again, that'd be an immense help and I'd be in your debt."

(RNJR vs Tyrian)

Tyrian cackled and rushed forwards; blades appearing on his arms. Lie Ren, charged to intercept him. Both wielders of gun-blades, clashed viciously. Ren displayed, an extreme amount of skill in athletics as he managed to neatly limbo under a bladed strike that would have opened his jugular.

There was a minor flurry of kick attacks between the combatants, before Tyrian stepped over a low-leg sweep and casually booted Ren in the stomach sending him reeling towards the stagnated water of the fountain. Ducking low, to avoid any potential shots Tyrian scurried quickly towards Ruby; who'd foolishly moved to close the distance, she charged in with a flurry of scythe strikes all of which either missed or were deflected. Tyrian countered this with a jumping spin kick, connecting with Ruby's chest near the shoulder. It didn't break her aura but did send her sprawling backwards.

Tyrian was barely holding back his cackles of delight. He hadn't anticipated such fun! He'd only fought two of the four so far, his target unfortunately hadn't impressed him yet. However, the black and pink haired one in green, impressed him immensely. Tyrian hadn't met anyone yet, possibly aside from Qrow, who dared to fight him toe-to-toe. "Tell me girl, where's the other one? The one that infuriated Cinder?"

Ruby's eyes widened, "You…you know Cinder! You work for her! I thought my brother had killed her!"

Tyrian stopped "My good heart, cannot take many surprises my Lady of Roses. Your brother? How could I, Tyrian Callows, not have been informed of this information. Your brother? Is he above average height, pale skinned, black hair with eye colours of red and silver, and possesses incredible natural skill and power in swordsmanship and dust manipulation?"

"That…sounds like my brother, yes." Ruby conceded, allowing her to scurry backwards as Tyrian dissolved into mad giggles.

"Oh, Cinder is and was most certainly annoyed at your brother. Alas, it might've made Her Grace's Council much more intelligent had your brother killed her. I do not work for Cinder, no, my good Lady of Roses. Of that, Tyrian, is most certain. We work for much older powers, far stronger ones at that…power that only Ozpin and your Brother seem to wield."

Ruby gulped, Harry had been brought into Ozpin's confidence along with Neville. This was extremely bad, nothing they'd done had been able to even scratch this rakish thin opponent; who was definitely 'a few sandwiches short of a picnic'. But that made her up her guard. "Ruby, no-one is more dangerous than one that is insane. They are unpredictable, irrational and extremely tenacious, you break combat and you run. Run, You Clever Girl, run!" Harry's words of battle wisdom were always welcome; as Ruby observed Tyrian, the more her brothers words made sense.

"If only the Prince of Roses were here, then Tyrian could have had immense satisfaction of not only bringing in the target, but also the defeater of Cinder! Much to that spiteful, narrow- and small-minded bitch's grievance!" Tyrian wailed, before turning back to Ruby.

"Now…where was I? Time to drop some bars and leave some scars." With that Tyrian closed the difference. The first strike moved Crescent Rose away from Ruby's body, Ruby just managed to deflect another head-height kick, as he did so he closed his eyes. The Queen's Servants raked across Ruby's upper chest near her throat ripping through her aura.

Jaune had moved to try and flank, Tyrian, only for the man to clamber onto the shield, with his hands on the inside of the shield as he smiled dementedly at the blonde. Tyrian again paused, as he looked the blonde over, almost as if he recognised the blonde from somewhere.

Tyrian lazily kicked off the shield, onto Nora's hammer and launched himself into a building. As the dust settled, they could see Tyrian almost posing almost seemingly waiting.

"We're not looking for a fight." Screamed Jaune, voice cracking slightly.

"What do you want, Tyrian?" Ren called. He was going to ask 'who he was' but considering Tyrian had named himself, it was rendered moot.

Tyrian cackled and almost floated to the floor "What I want, I believe was clear. But it does not concern you-" a finger at Ren "-or you-" a finger towards Nora. The finger landed on Jaune "-You, do interest me. But the only one I really matter too is your good Lady of Roses." The finger landed on Ruby.

"You mentioned that." Ruby said.

"But you have no real idea, do you?" Came Tyrians retort in an almost sing-song sort of way.

"I can guess, but I'm most likely wrong as you've already answered my questions."

Tyrian cackled "Oh, this must be exciting. You, who thinks you know what I want but you fail to see. Her Grace's plan is beautiful. For you, my sweet Lady of Roses have only seen what we have wanted you to see."

"You realise, we're not going to let you take her." Jaune said covering Nora and Ruby.

Tyrian took a deep breath and in that moment, Ruby saw the monster they were dealing with "Good…It's much more fun when they resist." With that he moved, he was almost a blur as he immediately reappeared behind Jaune.

"JAUNE!" Jaune had very little time to move his shield up as stormflower discharged its bullets, bouncing off the shield and temporarily blinding Callows. However, Callows was not unused to fighting without sight and began rotating on the shield, firing backwards.

Ruby charged forwards, only to receive a boot to the head and scraped Crescent Rose as she balanced herself. Jaune tried to decapitated Callows, only for the man to limbo under the swing; then go into a handstand to launch himself upwards, and deliver a gut kick to Jaune.

That left Nora, Tyrian charged forwards. Only to have to dodge out of the way of an electrical bolt slamming into Nora. The shot separated Nora from her hammer, confusing Tyrian who rubbed his head in confusion "Well, talk about irony…If that wasn't, then I'm not sure what is." He exclaimed facing Ruby, not noticing the smirk on her face.

He stopped, he felt the ozone thicken around someone near him! He looked, the three Huntspersonel near him had looks of grim satisfaction on their faces. Tyrian turned to look for the pink-haired, hammer wielding teen only to catch the head of the hammer, coming into view.

There was the unmistakable sound of a thunder-hammer discharging into flesh, and the battleground was covered in smoke and thick, thrashing, twisting, thriving and writhing tendrils of electricity. As it cleared, the hammer had been stopped by a tail! With Tyrian cackling in a squatting position.

"He's a Faunus!" Ren blurted out.

"Surpise!" Then using his tail, it yanked Nora forwards as he kicked her three times: stomach, ribcage and then head with a backflip out of the way.

"What is this about? Roman Torchwick? White Fang? Beacon?"

Tyrian scoffed as he slipped into a pose, remarkably similar to a preacher or an announcer "Plastic soldiers and pawns. Although Beacon, is part of Her Grace's far greater schemes. For one who has seen so little, thy Lady is rather quick of wit and intellect; it is a pity, that this will come to a horrible end. But que sera, sera, whatever will be, will be. Or rather que sera, debe sera; whatever will be, must be in your case."

Then the next thing Ruby realised, Tyrian was now no long holding back! She had to fight to keep her arms steady, not be parted from her weapon! She wasn't skilled enough without her weapon to not fight without it!

Unhindered and unhibited, Tyrian had decided to engage Team RNJR with impunity. It was fun! As he idly swatted away, Jaune and Nora before having to devote his feet, knees AND tail to fight Ren. Truly, the green-one was the most superior fighter out of the four of them.

Ruby, however had taken even more body shots. Her aura becoming visible with every strike that connected; as the last one parted her from her scythe.

However, salvation was on the horizon as a crow came hurtling towards Oniyuri. Its flight path ducked low, to the point of almost hitting the floor but as it passed a barrel, Qrow came charging towards the fight. He was nearly flat out sprinting as he charged towards his daughter and her friends. As Qrow neared the fight, he managed to see Ruby's aura completely vanish as Tyrian's last kick connected solidly with her back. "As long she comes here alive, Tyrian. There is nothing wrong with playing with her for a bit." Salem had whispered to him.

RNJR watched in horror as Tyrian stood tall over Ruby, his eyes purple and glittering with madness and as the stinger shotforwards, the distinctive sound of metal deflecting flesh was heard.

RNJR looked, or rather Ruby looked up to see her Uncle…sorry, dad standing back to Tyrian. Everyone stared as Qrow Branwen had appeared.

"Hey."
