Pairings To Be Decided
No Magic!
Thanks to the incredible writers Son of Caliban to whom I say "REPENT! FOR TOMORROW YOU DIE!" I joke of course, but I am more of a Sanguinis guy myself. I recommend you read his 'From the Joy, Comes the Pain, From the Pain, Comes the Joy.'
Another writer I wish to credit is darkfire1220 and a urge people to read Viridescent. Just want to say thanks for his permission to use some of Quirk ideas.
I own nothing apart from part of this idea…I believe I've credited everyone; if not message me and I'll include in the Footnotes or this dribble dravel
Chapter II
Kyoka and Hailey were panting. Even though Hailey had been training with her daddy since she was four, she had suspected that he had been holding back on her. Now it was evident. It had only been two weeks into their torturous training regime.
"You…could have told me your parents were both Eraserhead and Present Mic! My parents are fans of his Friday and Weekend shows! Especially his choice in Pre-Quirk Music."
Hailey giggled painfully "Kyoka, would you have believed me that my parents were BOTH Heroes AND Teachers at UA?"
"No…my god, your father is intense." Kyoka retorted as Hailey got to her feet. The two girls had been on theirs backs or asses, they were currently in the two-on-one sparring section of the training routine.
Watching them was a grinning Aizawa Shota. The Erasure Hero, couldn't believe the potential the two girls had before him. He looked at Hailey and he discreetly wiped a tear from his eye. She was going to have a very rough time trying to get into the Hero Course at UA.
It was times like this that he hated the marsupial Headmaster. The Principle loved destruction of robots more than fairness, in fact the only way Hailey was going to be getting into the General Education course and impressing everyone in the Sports Festival OR he went behind her back and gave her a recommendation.
"Kyoka, Hailey…I have information, I think you should know."
The girls looked at him "Sensei?" They asked as one.
"There is a chance that the pair of you will not be on the Hero Course, or even if one of you are."
Kyoka gulped "Why?"
"There are forty spots on UA's Hero Course. Thousands of applicants. To make things worse, four are automatically given to the best recommendation students. So instead of you fighting for forty places, you're fighting for thirty-six. There are twenty in each Hero Class."
"So, we need to Go Beyond, Plus Ultra." Kyoka stated. It wasn't hard to work out.
"Hailey is more than likely not going to get in. I say this not because of potential but as a matter of black and white also known as ink and paper." Hailey knew this was coming. This was something that her parents had said when she was younger.
"But…She's got a such a unique and awesome quirk…How can this happen!" Protested Kyoka.
Aizawa sighed "Because I'm the same. Hailey's actual quirk, if she can control her Erasure Quirk, she'd be able to make it onto the Hero Course no matter what. However, since she does not the only way onto it would be a recommendation letter, which coming from me or Mic would be seen as bias. Yes there are other Heroes at UA; but the price of being a daughter of a UA Teacher, she knows the Teachers pretty well…"
"Thus, any official recommendation letter submitted by a member of staff would be seen as a conflict of interest. Plus, daddy does not exactly get along with the best of the Top 10 or more well-known Heroes, he'd have to bribe them and that in turn…"
Kyoka nodded "I get it Hailey. So, what's the point in us training if we're not going to make it into the Hero Course"
"The Hero Course seats are never set in stone, Kyoka…Every event that UA hosts there is always a chance or a challenge for General Education, Department of Support and Business Course students to get into the Hero Course. The odds of me getting into the Hero Course from Support and General Education are much higher than the Business. So, Kyoka…the reason for this training is so I can hit the ground running right after the Sports Festival." Hailey explained, placing her hand on Kyoka's. "Everything will be alright. This initial surprise is…"
"Going to hurt for a while…but for now let's forget about it. Then I suppose I'd better go PLUS ULTRA, in this training. I'm sorry Hailey, but this ass is remaining in a Hero Course seat for the entirety of my time at UA." Kyoka declared, her Earlobe Jacks extending.
Aizawa lowered his capture weapon "Now that Kyoka…is what I want to hear. Although, I expect you to have new goals by the time you get on the Hero Course."
Kyoka grinned and blushed when she realised her hand was loosely interlocked with Hailey's. "We can still design our costumes right?"
"Naturally. We'll be doing that later on. Although since not many others have the advantage of a UA Teacher preparing them, they all have a deadline. All you need to do is ensure the forms are filled in and are submitted up to a week before the start of the Year."
Kyoka nodded "Let's keep going."
Aizawa and Hailey grinned at that.
(Fast Forwards to just after the exam)
Kyoka was stiff, tired and hungry. "Oh my god. Oh sweet Deep Dope, that was tough." She thought, as she waited. Soon enough Hailey joined her "How'd it go?"
"Tough…I never thought that an entrance exam was going to be so, so tough." The purple haired teen said. "You?"
"Mentally draining, but not bad. Tougher than normal standardised tests, but then again that's what you get for wanting a good high-school education. I need some Ramen and Mochi?"
"Room for one more?" Kyoka asked.
"I wasn't going to ask you, I was automatically going to drag you…Besides, I wanted to do an all-night jam session. A crate of energy drinks, cheap snacks, pyjamas and our recording table."
Kyoka smiled at the thought "Me and you, just making music?"
"I mean, we've got a week to find out if we got in or not."
As the duo got up they saw Aizawa waiting for them along with another purple haired student "What is it with my dad and purplettes?" Kyoka giggled before swatting her friend on the shoulder.
"Don't you mean Aizawa's and purplettes." Kyoka retorted.
"Aizawa-sensei."
"Aizawa, Jiro…this is Shinso Hitoshi…You could say he's interested in Heroics…I've called ahead to Teriyaki, they've a buffet. They have a table for seven by seven."
Hitoshi looked at the older Aizawa walk away "Aizawa and…"
"Jiro." Kyoka chimed in.
Hitoshi ruffled the back of his head "This is going to sound weird but can a person like me with a villainous quirk be a hero?"
"Villainous quirk? Which or who would dare call someone's quirk villainous?" Hailey asked as her eyes took on an orange glow, Hailey closed her eyes and began to count to ten, and eventually she felt her hair lower.
"My classmates at Danto Middle School. My quirk is brainwashing, if you answer my questions when I use it, which is not right now; you do as I say."
"Unfortunately for you, UA Hero Course is all about flashy quirks and how well they smash robots. So you've ended up settling for the General Education…Then you met my father…Hitoshi Shinso, take this from a girl who can temporarily disable Quirk Alphas and if I really concentrate strip down Carbon and break Carbon bonds."
Shinso eyes widened "And the human body is made up of Oxygen, Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Calcium, Phosphorous mainly but also needs "Potassium, Sulfur, Sodium, Chlorine and Magnesium…Your Erasure, Aizawa is truly a terrifying quirk if you lose your temper."
"So, Hitoshi Shinso, in regards to quirk potentiality of villainy I have you beat. But I'm going to become a hero. I'm going to offer you the chance to become one as well."
Shinso nodded "I accept."
"Heart of a Hero indeed. But do you have the brain and body of a Hero? Only one of those I can help with but the other is up to you."
Shinso paused "I don't have the body or a brain of a Hero, yet…I will learn that."
"Oh you will. Oh you will, Shinso…this training is going to be hellish. I've been training with my dad for twelve years and I found the entrance exam training positively lethal. Kyoka only had that training and nearly quit, this training program will be like nothing else…This is your last chance."
"I'm in Aizawa. If we're in the same class, we'll work on it then. If we're not, we'll work on it."
"Be prepared to train before school and after school. There will be no real weekends for you."
Shinso nodded "Considering I don't really do much anyway on my weekends…It'll, make my parents happy at least."
(School Term)
Hailey's lessons finished earlier due to the fact that it was the first lesson. As a result, she and Shinso had a lot of time to themselves "We can scout Class 1-A or we can train."
"Let's see the class."
As they made their way down the corridors and up the stair case, which Hailey seemed to know like the back of her hand "How?" Shinso asked, panting slightly. For Hailey had decided to introduce Shinso to the glory of free-running and using the school as a natural training gym. "How? Do you do this? How do you know this school so well?"
Hailey grinned "The parkour and free-running? Practise. Navigating the school? My parents work here, when Primary School and Reception finished, a member of the Staff would bring me here. Then they'd allow me to navigate my way to the Staff-Room…I'm one of the unofficial mascots of the school."
"It also helps that you're the Erasure's Daughter."
"Yes, I am the Erasure's Daughter…" Before Shinso realised it, Hailey had wrapped him in a hug and kissed him on the cheek.
"Sorry, but Shinso…that's…a nickname I'm going to treasure. You're a genius. I've had Mini-Aizawa, Little Miss Aizawa and Little Miss Mayhem…Ah here we are." With that she swiped her id card, the door opened and the two General Education students entered.
As she opened the door, Class 1-A saw their homeroom teacher go for his capture scarf and saw his hair about to rise up. "Apologies Professor Aizawa…We got let go early, thought that you'd have done the same."
"As you can see I haven't. They still have an hour or…"
Just then he was interrupted "WHAT DO YOU D-LIST EXTRAS WANT? YOU'RE INTERRUPTING IMPORTANT INFORMATION YOU USELESS SHITS. I'VE HALF THE MIND TO KILL YOU."
"Wow…are you normally this cranky? Or has your period kicked in early and you've forgotten a pad?" Shinso asked, not even bothering to use his quirk.
The class stilled; the tension could be cut with a knife. However, their explosive classmate activated his quirk "YOU USELESS TIRED, HUNGOVER PIECE OF SHIT. THAT'S IT I'M GOING TO MURDER YOU UNTIL YOU'RE DEAD. I AM A MALE, IF YOU CAN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE! YOU'LL KNOW I'M YOUR BETTER, I'M THE BEST THERE IS! NO-ONE WILL STOP ME FROM WINNING THE NUMBER ONE HERO POSITION!" Bakugo screeched.
"Shinso, did he just…screech? He's not a woman or even a teenager. He's a child in a teen's body screaming for his bottle in the form of a…SIT YOUR ASS DOWN!" Hailey growled, catching the class by surprise by how much she sounded like their Homeroom Teacher. Katsuki found his power being turned off.
"If this is the calibre of Class 1-A this year, then getting in here will be easy. Hitoshi, let's go…you have an appointment with a training mat and me in the UA tracksuit."
Aizawa hid a smirk under his capture cloth scarf. His daughter had turned into a good-looking young woman, who had it appeared taken Nemuri's lessons to heart. Judging by the way she'd captured the attention of his Class 1-A, he fully approved of their tactics. The only person not taking the bait was Jiro. That was one thing, in her favour, she knew her friend and her antics.
"All of you grab a prospectus and make sure you read it. Class dismissed." Aizawa called.
Jiro had grabbed her UA tracksuit, headed for the training room. Shinso was going to be going through the ringer. It appeared Aizawa was joining her.
The three teens and adult met up with each other in a training room, that had hadn't been used in a long time. The only thing in the room were some old training mats and scorch marks; scorch marks from somebody or somebodies being dragged along or on and off the walls at very high speeds. As they entered, they saw All Might looking into the training room and to both Aizawa's saw his light blue eyes, darken and faint tears appear.
"All Might! All Might is here!" Squealed Hailey.
Shota looked at his daughter "I thought you weren't a fan?" The tone was teasing.
"He's not my style of Hero. Would I like the chance to be remembered like All Might, Hawks, Edgeshot, Ryuku, Jeanist and Endeavour? Hell yes, but I'm also a fan of the Underground Heroes and well Fatgum…If I can't make it straight into Heroics, I'll do some work as a Cop then go into Heroics, I mean Fatgum did it."
Aizawa nodded, he knew Fatgum. He knew Taishiro Toyomitsu, the BMI Hero: Fatgum and he'd done well for himself. It also helped that the Large Hero had babysat Hailey once in a blue-moon, now that she had a Quirk…he wouldn't be above bending a few strings. There was nothing in the rules of the school or the law to prevent General Education Students doing Hero Agency work.
All Might turned "AH Students, Eraserhead…Sorry, lost in thought. But young Aizawa, why did you choose to become a hero? What course are you on?"
"Chose to become a hero…we have enough heroes singing their praises to the good and the law-abiding, but what about the lost and the forgotten? What about the people with quirks who conduct inhumane experiments? We need more heroes less obsessed with the lime-light, the franchises, the sponsorships and the philanthropy and more to wade in the darkness where the darkness smothers the light…I respect and adore you All Might, I mean you're probably the main factor that applications to Hero programmes has extrapolated by something like three hundred percent worldwide. I thankyou for that but I'm the Daughter of the Erasure Hero, the Erasure's Daughter but I see the shadows and the cracks in the Pillar made by a solo 'Symbol of Peace'. I'm worried, I'm worried about what happens next…you're seen as a God All-Might; but you're only human after all and eventually heroes retire and then they die; when you retire that's when I think everything is going to…well go off like a child with an explosive quirk…Sorry for the cynical tirade about heroics, symbols and philosophical nature. Can I be extremely cheeky and get a photo with you, with Hitoshi and Jiro? Hitoshi and I are General Education course by the fact our Quirks don't work on robots."
All Might chuckled and Aizawa took the photo. "All three of you in…Hitoshi…I want you to hit me…" Aizawa instructed.
(Flashbacks)
"Wherever you are, that man has eyes and ears everywhere."
"I won't know if I don't try."
"At this rate, you'll be killed by him as well."
"I have to become the SYMBOL OF PEACE-!"
"Master gave up everything…"
"Your enemy is a monster who's been alive for longer than 100 years…It's impossible."
"…just so she could raise One For All. She was a true hero!"
"You should retire All Might. If you keep being a hero…it'll just make everyone suffer."
All Might turned and walked out of the Training Room. 'Young Midoriya, Midoriya Izuku; his Successor…He needed help! A Hero, he was but Teaching? He didn't think so, but then again Master Shimura hadn't properly guided him with One For All, Master Torino…' All Might shuddered at that.
