The Erasure's Daughter 26

The tape recorder clicked on as the Police Chief and Detective Naomasa observed, the other officers left the room. "That was Detectives Arashi and Neji leaving the room. The time is now 14:09, and the questioning of Aizawa Hailey is now in session."

"Please can you state your name for the record."

"Lawyer Hero: Ruler, I shall be answering questions on behalf of my client Aizawa Hailey." Ruler stated.

"Acknowledged, however for the formality of the proceedings, your client is required to give her name and date of birth." The chief replied.

Ruler turned to Hailey "He's right. My quirk gives me a foundation in all laws and rules. It's certainly very useful in my line of work and with my hobbies."

Hailey sighed and looked over her shoulder. Tokyami and Kyoka smiled at her, the pair of them gave soft smiles and Dark Shadow gave a thumbs up.

"Aizawa Hailey, 31/07/1980." Hailey admitted, her throat dry and creaky; she might appear completely and utterly composed, but, that didn't mean that she wasn't terrified at the prospect that she might be expelled from UA.

Ruler, smoothly began recounting the details of Hailey's ordeal "Honourable detectives, my client, as a minor is allowed to legal representation."

"Agreed. Are you familiar with your client's account?"

"I am…Shall we begin?"

"Proceed."

With that Ruler began. He began with how the Aizawa family and Hailey's friends had attended the shopping centre together in order to prepare for the Summer Training Camp that UA was known for. He detailed how Hailey and Jiro had been extremely close and they had met up with the rest of Class 1-A and Hitoshi Shinso.

Ruler then began to explain the meeting with the Midoriya's followed by the first meeting of Sirius Black and Remus Lupin.

"A question, you say your client MET with the British before the incident…please can you evaluate on the reasonings on meeting with them? For the record, this meeting might end up with further court cases." The Chief explained.

"The foreigners that my client met with claimed that they knew Aizawa Hailey's parents."

"I thought Aizawa Shota was the father?"

"For the record, I, Aizawa Shota, have been present as moral and legal support for the client. Aizawa Hailey, was adopted by myself and partner. Aizawa Hailey is by blood my paternal cousin, I was contacted by her maternal Aunt to take her in. Hailey, had at this point only just learnt within the past week to a month that I was actually her cousin and that she had been adopted. I was familiar with the two men that Hailey had met. They approached us and introduced themselves to us, via myself and then my daughter."

"After the introduction, my client was informed of how things should have turned out; but they asked if she was happy with the current arrangements of her life. It was after this moment when Jiro and Aizawa went for lunch that everything became interesting."

Naomasa chipped in "How so?"

"Shigaraki Temura intervened by taking Midoriya Izuku hostage. My client's father chased him off, when he returned my client and her friend were taken hostage by more outsiders. Their superiors are waiting outside, frothing at the mouth."

"My client tried to de-escalate the situation, but when her friend was taken hostage as seen in the CCTV Footage that you now have; her friends attacker tried to murder her. This is a clear cut case of self-defence."

"I would agree, if it wasn't for the fact that she illegally used her quirk."

"I gave her permission, Chief, I've said to her 'if your life or your friends lives are in danger and you are to safely do so, you can use your quirk'." Naomasa's gut twitched, it was a lie but he wasn't going to inform the Chief of this. Somethings, were best left unsaid. Naomasa and Eraserhead had a very good working relationship, the Underground Pro haad led the police to five very successful and profitable sting operations: three around drug traffiking, one of people smuggling and cracked a murder whose murderer was also linked to an old homicide case. Then there was the fact that Naomasa knew that Eraserhead had trained under the retired villains of Bloodsport and Ratcatcher II; only an idiot would not connect the dots about those two.

The Chief looked at Naomasa and turned off the recording "I believe we have enough, the Precinct will not be pressing charges against Aizawa Hailey, for her…heavy-handed rescue of her Jiro Kyoka and herself, officially. Unofficially, laws have been broken that is evident by all parties involved so as Police Chief I am issuing the following as punishment, Aizawa Hailey MUST undergo psychological evaluation with a licenced official; she will also be issued with a quirk monitoring device that she MUST wear for the next three months with the exception of being in Heroics Lessons and on UA Sanctioned Training Programmes which need to be filed in advance; with the last requirement being house-arrest after a pre-determined length of time which shall be left to her guardians decision. Any questions?"

Hailey was in shock, this was unreal…she'd gotten off all the charges brought against her but the unofficial punishments she'd received made her slightly regret the choices. "I'm sorry, but this is for your own good." Murmured the Chief.

Hailey's eyes flashed red and then orange with outrage "Chief with all the disrespect that this is intended, NEVER say that phrase to me ever again."

"And I must insist…"

Shota was already moving, his binding cloth expertly wrapping around all five students with his own hair raising up as his quirk activated. "Hailey…enough, I've taught you to be more logical, reasonable and rational about these situations. Chief, with all the respect, please allow me to handle this and do not interact with my daughter anymore than you already have."

The Chief nodded, he scribbled something down and handed to Naomasa before leaving his office. Naomasa, looked at the note and he chuckled; he handed it to the elder Aizawa "I'll leave you and your legal team to sort out the details."

Shota opened the note 'You did a fine job. It could have been a lot worse.' Is all that it read "The Chief thinks you did a fine job, Hailey. I believe you did an unbelievable one; one that I would baulked at. You do require finessing on your takedowns especially with your enhanced removal quirk. Let's get you registered, for your house arrest lets say…until we head out to the Summer Camp? That's only what three days? Jiro, you wish to keep my daughter company?"

Jiro looked at Hailey who was now quietly crying into her fathers shoulder "Yeah…can we bring Tokyami, Shinso and Midoriya over? We have questions…"

Aizawa nodded "I'll get the paperwork sorted."

Ruler chuckled "I've been look forward to that for a long time. I'll send the bill. Eraserhead, Little Eraserhead, be seeing you again."

As the adults left and the teenagers behind them, Tokyami moved closer to the girls "This is a turn of ill-omen, my apologies Aiza…"

"Hailey, please, Tokyami. Aizawa is my father." Hailey replied quietly as they headed through the Police Station, they found Shota filling out the forms and taking the quirk tracker.

"I will ensure my daughter puts it on, Officer."

"But the regulations…"

"My daughter is very much on edge, and as a result does not wish to be here any longer than needed. She's a responsible, young adult and I would expect you to use logic and realise that you in doing your duty is also in breach of you doing your duty. You are meant to reassure the public and ensure that justice is done. In this circumstance in reassuring the public you make sure you report the situation as it was 'an attempted kidnapping' in which my daughter made some horrendous mistakes."

Thankfully, the people who were attempting to abscond with her were no longer present. Shota stored what he'd needed and swiftly escorted the teens outside the precinct "Shinso, Tokyami, Midoriya, I am trusting that you three will escort Hailey and Jiro straight home with no detours."

Hailey felt like dirt "Yes, daddy." Jiro grasped Hailey's hand in comfort before kissing her cheek. "Look, on the bright side, you only got a few days in essence being grounded. Yes the tag is a pain but did you pay attention to the wording?"

"Not really…"

Shinso chuckled "Aizawa Hailey, the first one to workout the loopholes, didn't catch these ones."

"Care to illuminate me, Jimmy Hendrix?"

"Licenced Psychologist? Hound Dog, problem solved. The tag? Three weeks worth, don't use your quirk when fighting. Yes, I know how beneficial it is for you to use it because of your 'bye bye quirk' or even 'bye bye body part'. You've kicked it into my head with and without your quirk. It's really not that bad."

Hailey glowered at her friend, but, there was no heat to it "Let's go back to mine."

Tokyami nodded and with that, the sextet meandered their way through the streets and to the trainstation. He was the first to pull out his phone and open the group communication forum on Herochat "Huh, turns out that Mineta's been removed from the class."

Midoriya paused "What! We've now got eighteen members…"

"Calm your panicmumbling, you've still got twenty. Shinso and I are joining, Shinso for Iida and me for Mineta." Hailey snipped, causing the boy to stop. Hailey deviated into a convenience store and picked up a Kamui Woods cap, not one of her favourite heroes, but a cap is a cap. She closed her eyes and took a moment to concentrate, then in painful Japanese deliberately mangling some of the words paid and left.

"What took you so long?" Tokyami questioned.

Hailey paused "I…don't understand."

Jiro, hearing Hailey's mile-a-minute heartbeat, decided to intervene. "Tokyami, Hailey isn't Japanese by birth but British, she's been raised here all her life. What with everything that's just happened she's acting like a rather fluent tourist or transfer student."

"Who happens to have a striking resemblance to Aizawa Hailey, who was publicly seen getting hauled into a police escort vehicle." Tokyami burbled quietly before replying "Such a skillful deception, the Dark Powers must favour you truly."

"Nonsense no Dark Power favours me, only the Glorious Light of the God-Emperor." Hailey quipped back in her disguise "Sorry, I'm Potter Hailey."

"A pleasure to meet you, I'm Tokyami Fumikage at your service."

With the new introductions done, they finally managed to get to the train station and return home.

Shota and Yamada were waiting for the teens "And what took you so long?" Hailey cocked her head innocently trying her best to play dumb. The moment Tokyami shut the door her demeanour changed.

"I needed to get a hat. I was attracting a lot of weird looks, plus I was acting like a transfer student to dedissuade the looks."

Shota nodded "And the disguise?"

"A hat and deliberately mixing up my Japanese and English; to make it as if I'm a very well-educated Western Transfer with an anime addiction, I'll probably use my given name with either Evans or Potter as the surname." Hailey replied, eyes glittering at the approval.

Shota hummed in agreement "I'll set up the paperwork, although for authenticity you will have to spend some time in England to make it…believable."

Hailey nodded "I'll do that but on mine and UA's Terms and no-one else's. Speaking of which can we get this humiliating dog-tag done and work out which Psychologist I need to be monitored by, I don't trust that the Hero Public Monkeys will not miss this chance to meddle."

Shota pinched his nose "They're going to find out pipsqueak, they always do, but I understand…You got any suggestions?"

"Hounddog…he could work. He's never had any interaction with me as far as I know."

Shota nodded "That was deliberate along with Lunch Rush and Vlad King."

Hailey blushed "Daddy, you loathe Vlad-sensei…and I still don't know the story."

Hizashi snorted into his coffee "It involves Moonshine, Trigger, 3 Hookers and a major misunderstanding. Shota and you can hold a grudge."

"All due respect Mic-sensei…" Shinso began.

"Yamada, please, call me Mic when I'm in costume…anyway Shinso-Kun, you were saying?"

"That sounds like the opening to very, very, bad joke."

Yamada choked on his coffee and Shota chuckled "Hailey, I'll tell you some of my more…hair-raising sorties when either you're 18 or get your Hero's Licence…I trust you all to behave." With that Shota hugged his daughter and Jiro before heading out. "There's food in the fridge and money in the drawer for take-away, we've got a mission to do."

With that the teens were left alone, Hailey slumped onto the couch and pulled her boots off "Pass me the tracker, Tokyami…might as well get this humiliation over with." The group watched as she placed the tracker on, before, pulling her boots back on and nudged it down.

"Accidents can happen…we've got an explosive pomeranian in the class and I'm pretty sure he's going to be calling me out for a rematch."

"Just how are you going to be in our class? I thought we were at capacity and that Mineta was on suspension." Tokyami replied.

Hailey groaned "Right, you weren't in Hosu when things went sideways. I was recovering from a gunshot wound. Anyway, Midoriya told me, before I hit him with an Aizawa Splitter; kick to the gut with an elbow to the head, that Ingenium II had deliberately gone AWOL from Manual and got into a fight with Stain. Todoroki and Midoriya saved Ingenium II and managed to apprehend Stain, but the police covered it. Ingenium II, voluntarily moved to Gen-Ed, allowing for Shinso or me to move up. Then with Mineta, being Mineta, there's going to be another place opened allowing for the others to join the class. If one of them doesn't leave for whatever reason, don't be surprised to see Shinso joining us. Daddy's taken him on as an apprentice…, Daddy doesn't like me to eavesdrop but it's not my fault if he conveniently mentions it in conversation."

The teens couldn't help but chuckle at that "Jiro, Aizawa…why don't we go play?"

Tokyami grinned "I…can hold a rhythm."

Jiro smirked "Really now? We'll see."
