Tooth came into the café. It was there she heard the teens talking and laughing over at the lunging area. She paused for a moment, taking a deep breath. Having heard from North and Mattias about their encounter with Elsa. Three of them having gotten curious about what was in the red zone on the map. North and Mattias having already dealt with the problem already. She was more worried about telling Ingrid when she returned from her trip to Kenya.
After gathering herself, she then walked over to where Lucky, Darius and the others kids were talking.
"Hey, guys. How are we all doing tonight?" Tooth asked, curiously.
The seven teens exchanged curious glances at one another.
"We're doing great." Darius said, glancing up at her.
"Yep, just talking." Lucky added, grinning.
Kenji, Ben, Yaz, Sammy and Brooklynn also expressing a nervous grin to Tooth. Causing Tooth to cross her arms over her chest, raising an eyebrow to the teens, smirking.
"Ahuh." Tooth said.
Despite the act the seven teens displayed, Tooth could see right through it.
"Well, it sounded like you all had quite the adventure today." Tooth insisted.
Darius, Brooklynn and Lucky each glanced to each other. Continuing to express a nervous grin to her.
"We sure did..." Brooklynn said.
"Yeah..." Darius said.
Tooth once more nodded her head to them. Seeming as though she was buying what they were saying. Though the teens knew that was not at all the case. Tooth smiled, shaking her head.
"Well, anyway, it's getting late. So why don't you seven go get settled in to you cabins." Tooth insisted to them.
"Oh, come on. What are we... five?" Kenji asked, curiously.
Only to have his mouth be shut by Yazmina, who glanced back up to her, nodding.
"Uh, no problem. Honestly, I think I could use some shut eye." Yamina insisted to her.
"Right guys?"
Lucky, Darius and the others nodded their head in agreement.
"Yeah.. sure..." Lucky said, standing up from the couch.
The seven then stood up as they made their way toward the entrance. Honeymaren and Ryder looked back over at Lucky.
"Night Lucky. We'll meet you back at the cabin in a bit." Ryder said.
Lucky paused for a moment. Glancing back at them, she nodded her head back at them.
"Yeah... okay." she said before following after Darius and the others.
Honeymaren uttered a sigh, turning forward once more. Something that did not go unnoticed by Tooth. She glanced back at Lucky, who walked out through the entrance to the café. Before glancing back at the two siblings at the table, knowing well what it must be.
Tooth walked over to the table, where they were sitting.
"Sister troubles, huh?" She said.
Honeymaren glanced up at her.
"Is it that obvious?" Honeymaren asked, curiously.
Tooth nodded her head to her.
"I know how we feel. I was the same way with my sister." Tooth insisted to her.
"Or... I still am. We only just began talking to each other again last year."
"I just... wish that she would just listen for once." Honeymaren said.
"Just give her time. She's probably just going through something right now." Tooth insisted to her.
"Trust me, forcing it won't help anything. You just need to give her space and let her figure things out."
Honeymaren shifted her eyes to the side, pondering. She wanted Lucky to be accepting of their family. Though all her and Kate attempts were only met with Lucky's moodiness. Not that she didn't understand the reason as to why she was like this. Despite wanting to help Lucky want to move on, it was as if she didn't want to.
Perhaps it was best to just leave her to just figure things out for herself. She just hoped that Lucky would find the strength to move on and they could finally be a family.
At least, for real anyway.
From the cover of the foliage along the outskirts of the resort, Zira moved stealthy through the cover of the underbrush. Shenzi, Banzai and Ed following from behind. Ed having trouble trying to keep the laughter down. Which lead to being hushed by Banzai.
"Hey, keep down, fur-for Brains." Banzai said in a whispering tone.
Ed covered his mouth with his paws before continuing to follow after Zira and Shenzi. It was at that moment, Zira paused within the cover of the foliage. Peering into the clearing, she noticed several humans walking about. The sight of man in the jungle both brought a feeling of anticipation as well as rage. She glared, growling as she beard her fangs.
She all but lusted for the very taste of mans blood. And it would be this night that she would have it.
Zira glanced back at Shenzi, Banzai and Ed.
"Circle around and wait for my signal." Zira ordered the three.
Shenzi grinned, nodding her head.
"You got it boss." she said before glancing back at Banzai and Ed.
"C'mon."
Banazi grinned in anticipation as he and Ed followed after her. Zira then turned forward as she moved through the foliage toward the clearing.
One of the staff members were walking along the pathway along the outskirts of the resort. He paused for a moment, hearing her radio crackle from over his belt. Hearing a voice from the speaker of one of the other staff members asking for assistance for cleaning up one of the cabins. It was for the maids. Not his department so it was nothing for him to worry about.
Switching his radio to another channel, he heard the sound of rustling foliage from behind. He glanced back to the jungle foliage behind him.
"Hello?" he said.
But there came no answer. He scanned the foliage, curiously. Then heard it again before suddenly pausing a he noticed something hiding in the foliage. He squinted his eyes, curiously.
"Is someone there?" He asked, curiously, as he slowly approached the foliage.
Unannounced to him of the danger that lurked within it.
Lucky, Darius and the others made their way back to their cabins. Walking behind the others, Lucky sighed as she glanced to the side, frowning. Still thinking about the argument she had with Honeymaren. Darius glanced back at her, curiously.
"You alright, Lucky?" He asked.
Lucky glanced up at him.
"Huh, oh, yeah, I'm alright... just... kind of tired." Lucky said, wrapping her arms around herself.
Darius glanced to Brooklynn, who looked up at him. They had both overhead the argument she had with her step-sister earlier. They didn't hear much but it sounded as through she was being scolded again for wandering off from the group. By the sound of it, her parents must have grounded her for it. Though it was not as if any of them didn't get punished by his Uncle and North.
Darius then paused.
"Hey, don't feel bad about what happened today. If it makes you feel any better, my Uncle kind of grounded us as well." Darius insisted to her.
"Yeah... we're all grounded together." Sammy insisted to her.
Though despite their insistence, Lucky didn't appear to be cheered up by that at all. She shook her head to them.
"Thanks guys, But it's not about that... it's just..."
The seven teens were suddenly startled by a loud bellowing sound from nearby. Followed by that of screaming from overhead. The seven of then paused.
"What was that?" Brooklynn asked, curiously.
There were several other scream's from overhead. Looking ahead down the path, they saw several where they saw several guests running in the oposite direction.
"Run! Lion!" One of them cried, running passed the teens.
"What's going on?!" Yazmina asked.
The staff member dropped to the ground, his throat torn and bloodied. Standing over the man's body, Zira grinned, her muzzle covered in the blood of the man. She then glanced ahead into the plaza, where she saw other humans, having witnessed her kill. Many of them turned to run as others took shelter in their cabins.
Zira grinned with anticipation. She then gave a loud roar which echoed across the clearing and could be hearing from afar. She then pounced forward as she chased after the other humans.
Hearing Zira's roar, Shenzi grinned.
"There it is. Lets go!" She said, glancing to Banzai and Ed
The tree Hyena emerged from the underbrush, scurrying into the clearing as they pursued the nearest human. Biting and chomping at them. One of the guests was pounced upon by Shenzi, knocking over some of the lamp posts, which sparked fire over the roof of a cabin.
Tooth, Honeymaren and Ryder came running out of the Café, hearing the screams of guests. As well as the roars of what could only be a predator, stumbling into the resort. They then paused, seeing guests running about the resort. One of the cabins having just caught fire.
"What's going on?!" Honeymaren asked, curiously.
Tooth heard the crackle of the radio over her belt. Followed by the voice of one of the staff members.
"Code Red! WE HAVE CODE RED!"
"What's a code red?" Ryder asked, curiously.
"Dangerous animal is on the premises!" Tooth exclaimed.
Honeymaren gasped.
"Lucky!" She said.
The three hear a sudden growl from he pool area. It was there through the smoke, they saw what appeared to be a auburn fur lioness, chasing after a staff member. Tooth glanced back at the two siblings.
"Get back inside, lock the door!" Tooth said to them.
"What about the kids?!" Honeymaren asked, curiously.
"I'll get them! Go!" Tooth exclaimed before running off to the office.
Honeymaren glanced forward for a moment. Only to be grabbed by the arm by her brother.
"Honey, come on!" Ryder exclaimed.
With one last hesitative glance, she then turned and followed her brother back into the café. All with the hope that Lucky and the other kids were somewhere safe.
Tooth stormed into the office, where she came around the corner of his desk. Opening the second drew, she found North's revolver inside. She took out the gun before checking it's chamber. Inside, she found there were still five bullets inside. Shutting the chamber, she quickly made her way outside.
The seven Teens made their way over to where their cabins were. Passing by several guests and staff members who were running to escape whatever jungle predator was now on the grounds of the resort. They suddenly heard growling from behind them. Ben gasped.
"Did you hear that?! It sounded close!" He exclaimed.
Kenji glanced back.
"I don't see it!" he said.
"Just keep running! Everything will be fine once we get back to..."
There was a sudden chuckling sound from overhead. Turning forward, the seven teens suddenly came to a stop as they came face to face with two Hyenas. Who pursed after some of the other guests.
"Hyenas?!" Darius exclaimed in a low whispering tone.
Before they even noticed, Darius turned and ran back the direction they came. Lucky and the others were quick to follow after him. Upon spotting the seven teens, the hyena's turned to them, licking their chomps in anticipation.
"Hey, fresh meat!" Banzai proclaimed.
"Come on, fur brain. After them!" Shenzi exclaimed.
The two hyenas chased after the teens. Glancing back, Lucky spotted the hyenas that were now chasing after them.
"They're right behind us!" She exclaimed to them.
"What do we do now?" Sammy asked, curiously.
"Just keep running!" Darius exclaimed to them.
Tooth came running out into the plaza of the resort with the revolver in hand. She scanned around the resort, peering through the smoke that now concealed her line of sight. The guests who ran about the resort in hopes to escape the fangs and claws of the jungle predator. Only to then hear the lioness's roar from off to her right.
Tooth cocked her head. Through the smoke, she noticed the lioness scurrying behind some of the cabins. The thick cover of the smoke all but concealing it from her. Tooth quickly raised the revolver and fired a single shot at the lioness. Only for it to quickly vanish behind one of the cabins, out of the way of the bullets path.
Tooth lowered the revolver as she rushed forward after the cabins.
"Everyone get inside, Now!" she called out to the guests and staff.
The Seven teens continued to run from the two hyenas chasing them. Snarling, the stripped scavengers snapped their jaws at the teens. Causing Lucky and Brooklynn to gasp.
"Their gaining!" Brooklynn exclaimed.
Darius peered ahead toward the smoke that concealed the path ahead. It was too thick to see anything and it definitely would be too strong for them to smell anything.
"Keep going, we can lose them in the smoke!" Darius exclaimed.
The seven teens ran ahead and disappeared into the cover of the smoke. Shenzi and Banzai followed them inside the fog. Only to then slow to a stop, coughing from the smoke. Shenzi raised her head, scanning the fog. But still, there was no sign of them anywhere.
"Where did they go?" Shenzi said.
Banzai shook his head.
"I don't know!" Banzai said.
Ed shaking his head. Causing Shenzi growled in anger.
"Come on, fur brains, they couldn't have gotten far." Shenzi said.
The three hyenas scurried ahead through the smoke. Unannounced to them that the seven teens were hiding behind the corner of a nearby cabin. Covering their mouth's with their shirts to avoid inhaling the smoke. Upon seeing the hyenas running off, the teens slowly emerged from behind the corner of the cabin. As the three disappear into the smoke, the three breathed a sigh of relief.
Only to then be startled as they heard the lions roar. The seven teen turned and scanned the area. But the smoke was too thick. They could hardly see anything.
"Do you see it?" Brooklynn asked, curiously.
Darius cocked his head, glancing off to his left.
"It could be anywhere." Darius insisted to them.
The teens then heard another sound from off to their right, causing them to gasp. It was there they saw something moving through the smoke, toward them. Was it the lion?
The seven teens braced themselves, ready for whatever it was to reveal itself to them.
Only to then be relieved to see it was one of the staff members. The man paused upon seeing the seven teens, out in the open. Despite the warning from Tooth for everyone to get inside.
"What are all of you doing out here?!" The man exclaimed.
"Hurry, get inside before-"
The man was suddenly cut short as he glanced back, where he saw the lioness pounce at him, knocking him back over the path. Lucky, Darius and the others sauntered back in utter shock and awe. The man's screams suddenly silenced as the lioness sunk her fangs into his throats. His body slowly becoming still as his hands dropped down to his sides.
The seven teens were left stunned at the sight.
Zira lowered the man to the ground, releasing the mans throat from her jaws. She then lifted her gaze up at the seven teens, who stood stunned at the sight of her kill. Zira growled at the teens, grinning in anticipation. The man's blood covered her muzzle, dripping from her fangs. Walking over the man's body, she began to circle around the teens, who slowly backed away from her.
"My, my, what have we here?" Zira said.
The teens huddled around each other as Zira circled around them. She then chuckled.
"Seven little man-cubs, all alone. Now this is a meal I've waited my whole life for." Zira proclaimed.
Yazmina shifted her eyes to Darius.
"Darius... what do we do?" she asked, curiously.
Kenji, Sammy, Ben and Brooklynn glanced to Darius. All but hoping his knowledge of animals would helped them out of this. But Darius didn't answer her. He was too stunned for words. Even if he could speak, nothing he could say would be able to help them in this situation. Neither running or staying still would be able to help them. They were completely at the mercy of the lioness.
"I...I don't..."
It was right at that moment that Lucky came up in front of them, extending her arms out. Standing between the lioness and her new friends.
"Go away!" She exclaimed to the lioness.
"Leave us alone!"
Standing up straight, Lucky tried to appear much larger then the lioness. An act that had proven to work in scaring off predators like lions and tigers. Though the lioness did not appear to intimidated by her. Rather it seemed to have gotten her attention, turning to face Lucky.
Zira stood faced the girl, standing between her and the other man-cubs. She stood up, growling. The sight of the girl's bravery all but beard much resemblence to one she had seen long ago. When one girl stood up to her to protect a dear friend of hers. Even now, the memory of that day flashed before her eyes. The sight of Elsa as a cub, standing between her and Nala.
She grinned, chuckling.
"What a brave little man-cub you are. I wonder just how it will taste." Zira said.
Narrowing herself down, Zira readied herself to pounce upon the teens. Lucky and the other braced themselves as they awaited to for the inevitable.
But just as Zira was about to pounce at the teens, the sound of a gun fire erupted from nearby. Causing her to pause suddenly. The teens turned as they gazed off in the direction of the gun fire. They then looked back at Zira, who was stunned in fear at the sound of the gun fire. Lucky glanced back at each other, curiously.
"Wh-whats going on?" Lucky asked, curiously.
"Who cares... come on!" Kenji exclaimed.
The teens quickly turned and ran off in the opposite direction. Zira too stunned in fear to even react. Only to then regain her senses, shaking her head. She then turned and saw the seven teens running off in the direction of the jungle. Zira growled in anger. Though it wouldn't matter. She would taste their blood as she had the others.
She then grinned.
"Run while you can, Man-cubs. But I will taste your blood." Zira promised as she followed after teens.
