'This wasn't suppose to happen!' Mikasa cried as she dropped to her knees in sorrow

Tim wasn't any better himself. He had failed to keep his promise to Mikasa... he'd failed to save Eren, who he had told that he didn't want his death on his conscious

Neither could move, the Titan that had devoured Eren leaving them soon after. Both had just stood their frozen, still trying to wrap their mind around the fact that Eren was gone

'Damn it! I'm Red Robin, former Robin and protégé of Batman and I couldn't do a single thing again! What type of hero, one with training from various teachers, can't save one person from something like a Titan?!'

"We need to go. We're not safe here and with you not having any gas, that makes it even worse" Tim said breaking away from his thoughts as he said this in an emotionless tone that made Mikasa slightly flinch

Both slowly made their way down onto street level, with Tim looking at the sword that Eren had dropped when he jumped to save Mikasa

"Again, I've lost my family again. Do I have to remember this pain and start everything all over again?" she whispered softly, once again on her knees as Tim slowly walked over towards her and dropped onto his knees, causing Mikasa to look at him

"Mikasa... Eren will always be with you no matter what. He wouldn't want you to feel this way. He'd want you to keep moving forward. I know if he were still here, he'd hate seeing you like this. I know the feeling, losing someone you care about that you yourself just want to give up. However, you shouldn't allow those feelings to take over, if you die... then Eren's sacrifice was for nothing. You need to keep fighting, for yours and Eren's sake" he said, getting back onto his feet as he surveyed the area for any more Titans

Mikasa said nothing, as giant footsteps could be heard from afar, but you could tell that they were heading towards them. She thought back to when Eren had wrapped his scarf around her neck that day 'This world is cruel and very beautiful'

Tim cursed as he saw a 5 meter Titan making his way to Mikasa and grabbed the sword from the ground. He was able to grab his attention by using a gas pellet as he grabbed his grappling gun, attaching it to his wrist and fired as he was able to move out of the way. Seeing the Titan reaching for him, Tim used this to his advantage as he shot his grappling gun onto the shoulder and using the momentum he twisted and threw his sword at the weak point

Tim let go as he dangled from a rooftop and watched the Titan drop to the ground. He pulled the wire back and moved to go grab his sword

Meanwhile with Mikasa, she still hadn't made a move since Tim had left her to face the 5 meter. However she suddenly grabbed the knife and slashed at the fingers of the Titan that had wanted to grab hold of her

Tim looked over in her direction and took note that she had good instincts having somehow known the Titan was nearing her

Mikasa kept facing the Titan, unsure about why it was she was fighting still. She had wanted to end it all, was ready to die. Mikasa dodged the Titan's hand as Tim suddenly came in and slashed at the leg, making him turn towards him instead 'There's no point in living anymore. So what's driving me?'

At this a 15 meter Titan was slowly rounding the corner to where both teens were at

'You need to keep fighting, for yours and Eren's sake'

'Fight! You have to fight!'

Mikasa gasped as she realized what it was that she was fighting for now 'I'm sorry, Eren. I won't give up anymore. I'll never give up again. If I die I'll lose my memories of you too, on top of everything else'

Tim ran over to Mikasa after injuring the Titan enough, both having each others backs for the sure battle against two Titans. Both teens gripped their weapons prepared to strike... except the Titan that Tim had been preparing to strike against suddenly just threw a punch, knocking the other Titan back and causing Tim and Mikasa to be sent flying back

"What just happened?" Mikasa asked Tim as he helped her stand back onto her feet. The two turned towards the 15 meter Titan that they thought was going to kill them

The Titan roared, making both teens cover their ears as they watched him charged in. Both just stood their, not knowing what exactly was happening as they watched the 15 meter literally stomp repeatedly on the other Titan and soon saw the head fly away from the body

'A Titan... is killing... another Titan' she though unable to understand what could be causing this

'This... shouldn't be possible. First the Colossal Titan disappearing and now a Titan attacking another Titan? What is going on in this world. Though I don't know why I get the feeling that this Titan reminds me of someone' Tim mentally noted

"Mikasa! Tim!" Armin's voice suddenly called out as both looked up and saw the blonde and Connie at one of the rooftops. Tim grabbed Mikasa and hoped he had enough gas to get both of them above ground

"Are you both alright?" Connie asked, lifting up Tim and Mikasa from the ledge

"Wait! Where's Eren?" Armin asked noticing the lack of a certain brunette

Mikasa and Tim didn't answer, both not able to look at either teen in front of them. Armin stumbled back as he realized what this meant "No... Eren..." he said, falling to his knees at the idea of his best friend dead and eaten by a Titan

"You mean..." Connie said trailing off as Tim nodded. Connie sighed, not able to imagine Eren of all people to go down "We need to get outta here. Two 15 meters. This is bad" he said as the two 15 meters stared at each other

"No, that Titan is..." Mikasa started as she pointed at the one that saved her and Tim

"That Titan is a puzzle. Tell me do Titans normally fight against each other? Cause that one sure made an example out of that Titan down there" Tim said as Armin noticed the steaming skeleton below

The Rogue Titan as the four had taken to calling him suddenly took on an offense position causing three of them to gasp, with the fourth narrowed his eyes at this. They watched as the Titan went to charge at the Rogue Titan, who threw a punch towards the head, causing it to fly and hit a tower

'This Rogue fights as if he were a human. That position he took... it was one of the basic positions learned in fighting'

The headless Titan was seen pushing himself off the ground. Rogue on the other hand was seen staring at his hand which seemed to be healing. Then out of nowhere, he brought his foot down, crushing the nape, killing the Titan

"He finished him off? He was aware of the weak spot?" Armin asked

"We need to get outta here before it comes our way" Connie said

"No, he's not reacting to us. Any other one would have attacked" Armin said

"Besides if he was the slightest bit interested in us, he would've attacked us by now" Tim agreed and looked back at Rogue "That's no normal Titan. He knows things that no other Titan seems to know. The weak spot, hand to hand combat..."

"He's probably just an abnormal Tim. You're reading to much into it. We barely even know much about them anyway. Now let's hurry to HQ"

"Mikasa's out of gas" Tim pointed out as Connie turned back towards him, wearing an expression as if saying 'You're kidding, right?'

"What're we gonna do without you?"

"The answer is obvious. I don't have much left, but hurry and-"

"No Armin. She can take mine" Tim cut in, pulling off his own canisters before Armin could and replacing the one she had "You three head back to HQ. I'll stay behind"

"Are you crazy! We can't just leave you here in Titan city!" Connie exclaimed

Tim turned and glared at him, making Connie flinch and remember this was the same Tim who literally somehow was able to take down armed thugs with nothing but his bare hands and stealth skills... still that time he had help from Jason...

"Don't worry about me. You just make sure you get to HQ with the gas you have. I'm not sure how much I had, so you better make it count. Trust me, I'm not going to let the Titans beat me that easily" he said and surprised the trio when he jumped down

"Tim!" Armin shouted and rushed to the edge... only to see no one. Not a trace of Tim was seen. It was as if he just disappeared into thin air. His eyes trailed to Rogue, who he noticed was still in the area as an idea suddenly came to mind "Listen! I have an idea"

Meanwhile with the rest of the survivors
'Am I really cut out for this? Am I really fit to have a position of responsibility?' Jean thought with closed eyes

"Hey! Get your head out of the clouds and focus" Jason's voice cut in as Jean looked over at him and saw Jason point towards the gathered crowd of Titans with their backs turned

Jean seemed to understand what Jason was saying and turned back to the others "This is our chance! While the Titan are preoccupied over there!"

"You heard him! Charge to HQ while the chance is available!" Jason added as slowly everyone started taking off once again. Jason also had to admit that Jean had come a long way from the teen that wanted nothing more than live in the interior and only thought of himself

"What's our chances of getting over there unscratched?" Jean asked. He could tell that Jason had at one point or another led others in his life and as such wanted an opinion

"There's two options. 1) we get to HQ, probably suffer a few deaths or injured along the way or 2) we all run out of gas and die here. 50-50 chance, depending mostly on the many variables being the Titans that will surely block our way when they notice us... something is surely to happen"

Jean was quiet for a moment before nodding "Everyone charge!" with that everyone charged, no hesitation whatsoever

Along the way, a few trainees ran into some trouble. Jason was able to help a few, but not enough since there was always those who wouldn't make it. Jean got caught at one point by the leg, but luckily he thought fast and cut off the fingers

"Jean! Thanks! You helped us get away!" Marco said

"I won't say I was the only one! Jason's been a big help! He's helped many trainees along the way!" Jean commented as Marco smiled at seeing Jean being a team player

HQ was now in sight as Jean was the first to go in, shattering the glass 'How many made it? How many death's did I use? How many died because of my orders? Jason told me this could go either way... how can he act so calm when he said that?' he thought and watched the survivors slowly pour into the room

Jason was the last to enter everyone noticed him coming in hot. He literally flew into the room and were it not for him doing a somersault, he would have surely impacted into the wall harder than he did

Jean turned and saw two trainees under the desk that was next to him "You're with the supply team... aren't you?" he asked as they nodded. This in turn made Jean grab one of them, drag him out and literally punched him

"Stop Jean!" Marco shouted as he grabbed him from making any more moves

"Serves him right. It was their job to deliver gas wasn't it? Instead their fear took hold of them and they hid like cowards" Jason said in a monotone as Marco shot him a look screaming 'Not helping!'

"They abandoned us! People are dead because of you!" Jean exclaimed

"The Titans overran the supply room. There was nothing we could do" the female trainee said

"That's your excuse. 'There was nothing we could do?' Don't make me laugh. There is always something to be done. You chose not to do anything. Let's be honest here. Don't go throwing nonsense like that. Those deaths out there are on your hands" Jason said many staring at him and nodding at his words

Reiner was watching the scene, until he noticed something "Get down!"

Suddenly there were Titans looking inside as Jean realized the problem "There are too many people!"

At this many trainees started panicking as they rushed back

"We can't all go at once!"

"Where's Mikasa?"

"She ran out of gas! She's long gone by now!"

Jason cursed at the trainees pushing him back as he was unable to fight or at least help as a result. Seriously the panicking was starting to annoy him. He turned towards the Titans and saw the giant smiling faces 'Damn are they creepy. Hope Tim is alright... not that I care of course'

Just when all hope seemed lost...

Cliffhanger! You all know what happens so I don't know why I put cliffhangers in this story. Anyway Tim stayed behind! Anyone see that coming? Tried to use his skills in this chapter, still suck at fighting scenes but hope I'm getting better *not* Anyway next chapter we see more Rogue Titan, Tim and Jason showing off their skills and a secret revealed... well not really ^^
