Tim and Jason followed a safe distance away from the Rogue Titan currently carrying the big boulder in his hands above his head. They made sure to clear a path for the Rogue Titan, keeping any enemy Titans from attacking Eren or distracting him from his mission
Armin on the other had gone ahead of the duo, Tim telling him to leave Eren in their hands. He just hoped the blonde had met up with Mikasa and the others. If he had, they would probably be questioning him or wanting an update on the situation
"How many of these guys got in!" Jason exclaims from Tim's com, which in turn makes the younger teen roll his eyes
"What are you getting tired? Besides... I thought we were having a competition here. I mean unless you quit. Damian is sure to make fun of you over it"
Jason doesn't say anything at this, but Tim does smirk when he sees his brother take out another Titan, shouting how that makes it 6 to 5 before going after another
Meanwhile with the others, Armin was trying to explain what he'd last seen before Tim sent him ahead. They didn't have to wonder any longer on wondering whether the two brother succeeded or not as they could literally hear the Rogue Titan approaching due to the noise Eren was making with each step he took and because they could finally see him
"Eren" Mikasa smiled
"Tim! Jason!"
"Sorry took so long, but we finally were able to get 'I'm gonna slaughter them all' Titan slayer here to wake up and get in control of his actions!" Jason says, landing on top of the boulder "He's ready to get the job done. No more set backs"
"We just need to make sure he reaches the gate. We gotta cover him and make sure nothing stands in his way!" Tim said, slipping into the role of leader easily as if he were leading the Teen Titans back home
Ian nodded "You heard Drake. Defend Yeager!" he shouted, snapping the soldiers out of their shock as Ian continued "Even if it costs us our lives we must let Eren reach the gate!"
The Rogue Titan was almost reaching his destination, but unfortunately several Titans were walking toward him. Jean sees this before turning towards the others "Do not let them stop him! We gotta give Eren backup!" he ordered before jumped off
"You two head to Eren! Help out both Todd and Drake!" Ian said towards Mikasa and Armin "That's an order! Understand?!"
"Yes, sir!" the two said at the same time
Ian began to run, then stopped at the sight behind the approaching Titans "Mitabi team... What are they doing?!" he asked in confusion as Mitabi replied with "The Titans are ignoring us now! Our only choice is to get close enough to grab their attention!"
"Look this way damn it" one says as Mitabi continues with a fearful look "Or else we'll shove our blades up your smelly butts and kill you!"
This in turn makes the two Titans turn and glare at the humans as they looked at them from over their shoulders. Mitabi hopes he didn't just make a big mistake as the two start chasing after them
"Hurry! Run and head for the buildings!" Mitabi shouts
"No way... Setting foot down there is suicide! And they have no way to fight without horses or buildings!" Armin exclaimed
"They know it's suicide Armin, but they also know the risks involved" Tim says
"They're right Arlert. No other choice now" Ian says before he swings down. The other Garrison soldiers followed immediately without hesitation "Follow Mitabi Team!"
"Come on we need to go" Mikasa tells Armin jumping down before he follows her
"This way! Come get me!" Ian shouts at the Titan who'd tried to grab him. The Titan stands up and followed as he gets out of the Rogue Titan's way
Eren keeps moving forward, his face pressed firmly on his shoulder due to the weight of the boulder. He felt as if his body was being crushed. He turned his attention towards his two best friends on the ground 'Mikasa, Armin, what are you doing?' Eren thought watching as they run ahead of him 'If you walk down there...'
"C'mon! Hurry this way you slowpoke!" a solider shouts as he runs off with the Titan starting to chase after him "Come get me!" he doesn't make it far unfortunately as a hand reached out and grabbed him
Mitabi takes notice of this, stopping as he watches the Titan bring the screaming solider to his mouth "H-hey!" he shouts not noticing as a hand was coming down on him only to get picked up by Jason and out of harms way
"Watch where you stand" was all Jason said before chasing after another Titan. Mitabi just stares dumbfound before shaking away the shock and getting back into battle
'Fight!' Ian ran, but suddenly his gaze shifted to the side to see one of his subordinates suddenly get captured by a Titan 'If anything is worth giving your life, it's that!'
'It doesn't matter how terrifying the world may be!' Mikasa and Armin ran ahead of the Rogue Titan, watching as Ian pulled the man out and throw him away from the Titan's mouth 'It doesn't matter how cruel the world may be!'
The Titan started to push Ian into its mouth as Mikasa's eyes widened 'Fight!'
Ian's eyes widened. However the Titan's hand is suddenly chopped off as Ian stares in shock to see Jason panting slightly and blood covering him before Jason turns stabbing the Titan's eye and using his ODM gear makes his way around the neck and goes for the weak spot, killing it while grabbing hold of the still shocked Ian as the two land on a nearby roof
"You good?" Jason asks as Ian can only just nod wordlessly. Jason just stares at him for a moment before jumping away to continue helping
'Fight!'
Jean dodged a Titan trying to smash him. Connie was seen running past one's feet. Marco looks over his shoulder. Tim turned to Jason after he rejoined him on the roof he currently stood on as an idea started forming in his mind "I think I have an idea I'm sure you'll think is crazy enough to work"
"Whatever you got planned inside that head of your, better tell me now. I've already had to save at least 4 people" Jason says, switching his blades after breaking them when he unintentionally was slammed into a wall trying to save a random solider
"Trust me, you'll enjoy this" Tim said with a smirk before telling him his idea
Jason raised an eyebrow at what Tim had planned. He was right it was a crazy idea, but it might be just the thing they need to turn things around
With the majority of the Titans being distracted, this in turn was leaving a clear path for the 15-meter carrying the boulder... expect-
"There's still one more up ahead!" Armin shouted as in front of the hole stood a Titan blocking their path
"I'll handle this!" Mikasa started saying intending to finish this off herself before her eyes widened
"Out of the way!" Rico shouted as she dove in and cut one of its eyes
The two jumped away from its hand, the Titan having intended to squash them. Mikasa ran behind it, sliding on her feet before using her ODM gear to shoot her hooks onto its neck and the gas to propel herself up
Letting out a battle cry, Mikasa used her swords, blades easily sliding deeply through the flesh of its nape. The Titan fell to the side, Mikasa still standing on it as Eren didn't stop his path
"Here come two more!" Armin exclaimed in shock as Mikasa's eyes widened. Suddenly the sound of ODM gear was heard making their way towards them
"What?" Mikasa asked in confusion
The two were shocked when both Jason and Tim flew past them, appearing from out of nowhere. The two former Robins dropped down and started circling around the Titan's legs a couple of times. Armin's eyes widened in realization as he watched the Titans try to take a step forwards... only for the two giants to fall flat onto the ground
"Wasn't expecting that" Jean exclaims from where he stood having seen the display
Jason was seen grabbing his swords, flipping and slashing one of Titan's neck deeply before dropping to the ground. Tim took care of the other Titan just in time as the Rogue Titan was almost upon the hole. Tim could see it would only take a few more steps...
"Go for it, Eren!" Armin shouts with tears in his eyes
"You're all clear, kid, now let's blow this thing and go home!" Jason shouts a very familiar quote
"Did you just unintentionally quote Star Wars?" Tim asks in disbelief as Jason's only response was giving him a two fingered salute
At the same time, the Rogue Titan roars before slamming the boulder in place. Dust was seen flying and cracks appeared on the Wall due to the strength used by Eren's Titan
Armin, Mikasa, and Jean watched with shocked expressions, mouths open. Jason and Tim stood their looking impressed and also in relief at having completed the mission... however they both knew a lot of people both in the Survey Corps and civilians alike had lost their lives... just how many was something they rather not know
Rico dropped down to the ground, crying "Everyone...your deaths weren't in vain" she says with tears threatening to fall down her face. She holds up the gun and fired "Today, for the first time in history, humanity has beaten the Titans!"
Meanwhile
From afar stood Pixis and the others watching "Yellow smoke signal spotted! It seems the operation was a success!" Anka says dropping the binoculars from her eyes
"Send in additional reinforcements. Rescue the Elite Squad!" Pixis ordered
Back at the now sealed hole
"The remaining Titans are coming! Climb up the wall!" Rico shouts as she eyes the two Titans making their way towards them and gripping her swords
"How about we not leave the guy who just helped seal up this hole. If it weren't for him we'd still be dealing with more than 2 Titans" Jason says angrily at how Rico was willing to leave Eren
Mikasa nodded in agreement with Jason's words as the two run closer to the Titan "Armin! How's Eren?"
"He's burning!" Armin exclaimed as both he and Tim are pulling Eren out of the Titan "We need to hurry and get him up the Wall!"
"Wait!" Tim says stopping Armin from pulling Eren "Look. His arms are still stuck to the Titan's muscle"
Armin's eyes widened in realization "He's still fused to it!"
"Hey what the heck is taking so long?!" Jason asks climbing up to meet the two. His eyes trial towards Eren and notices the problem "Damn it! Fine we'll just do this the fast way" he says, sword suddenly in hand "And cut him free, otherwise we'll take to long"
"Jason!" Mikasa exclaims in shock at the idea as Rico agrees with the black haired teen and watch as with great accuracy, Jason severed the flesh connected to Eren. Armin would have fallen back at this, having been still pulling, if not for Tim's help
However there problems were just beginning as the two Titans had finally reached the small group, looming over the three humans and one unconscious shifter. Armin's eyes widened as Tim and Jason both cursed as the older one got ready to intervene. Eren on the other hand started to slowly open his eyes
Without warning someone came from above, spinning down and cutting the left Titan's nape. Shooting out a hook, they watched as their rescuer spun around once again and took out the second Titan in no time
"He's fast" Jason whispered to Tim who nodded in agreement. Whoever this was, clearly they had skills rivaling both of them
Armin held the semi-conscious Eren with Tim's help and looked over his shoulder to see who'd rescued them drop down onto the fallen Titan, their back to them
"Wait that symbol on his cape, isn't that" Tim started saying
Eren looked up at this, eyes looking at the green cloak or more precisely the symbol on it "The Wings of Freedom"
"He's a Scout" Tim's eyes widened in realization
Taking note of the teens still standing, he looks behind him "Hey, you brats. What exactly is going on here?" he asks, with the Rogue Titan's body still steaming and its ribcage now visible
It was quiet between them all before Jason broke it "Who you calling a brat?!"
Ya! I finished the next chapter *throws multiple papers into the air* After umm when was that last chapter I posted... three months! So we got Star Wars references here! Tim used inspiration from Empire Strikes Back during the Battle of Hoth to take down some Titans. We'll be seeing that tactic used again in the future. Plus A New Hope quote from Jason as well. Oh and Levi! He's finally appeared, let's see how the two Bats will get along with him ;)
