Chapter 5: New Uncles (And Other Things)
~ I won't tell you shit! NOW FUCK OFF! ~
[ Location: North Blue; On the Seas; Astrid: 5 years old ]
"COOO! COOO!"
From the heavens, the News Coo made its presence known as the father and daughter duo were doing their best, in their little boat, in the middle of the North Blue.
Once parting ways with Buggy after the execution, each cabin boy having the resolve to make their own crews, to sail the treacherous seas, to make a name that would be known far and wide.
A small detail on why Astrid stayed with Shanks, and how she was allowed to be the new cabin-girl (apprentice?) (mascot) had to be known, before we continued on.
[ Location: New World; On the Seas; An Important Meeting in the Past; Astrid: 2 years old]
"Shanks, you need to know the truth about our adorable little girl." Roger started out, inside the room was Rayleigh, Gaban, Crocus, and Shanks himself, in the Captain's Quarters.
Shanks had been called in when Buggy and the good remainder of the crew was asleep, no one in sight on the deck, and the night-watch high above in the crows nest.
A good time for a secret meeting, and revelations to be made to all who could hear it.
"You remember Ryuzaki Tenka, yes?" Roger continued.
"I remember ol' man Ryuzaki, he was part of the crew from the beginning, his moniker being Black Dragon of the East. We threw a huge party for him as he was leaving somewhere, and then looking at the paper to see that he died in Marine custody….What does he have to do with Astrid?"
Gaban looked to the side, scratching the back of his neck as Rayleigh continued off where Roger left off, as he looked to the floor.
Rayleigh looked at the young lad.
"Ryuzaki Tenka was the 12th Child to be sent here, and Astrid is the 13th Child, and he….", Rayleigh was about to continue when Shanks stopped him.
"Wait, you mean to say that…. the legends…the rumors…the scary stories people would say on one island to another about these 'Childe's' are true? Are they both from outer space?" To all who could see, Shanks was thinking very hard on the matter.
As the stories of the Childs' were often thought of as stories that mothers would say to their children as a means to make them behave…
"Well….not exactly Shanks. They are both born here, but their minds…their souls…are from somewhere else. How he explained it was..well, it's an alternate reality, a different plane of existence that they were originally from. She'll fully regain her memory from her previous life, according to Ryuzaki, at around the age of 10, give or take."
Shanks had a look of realization, "did old man Ryuzaki send her to us?" He was a bit shocked, as Ryuzaki Tenka had made a lasting impression on the boy, just like their mighty Captain did.
"He didn't send her to us, he gave us the general location to find her before the Marines could get their slimy mites on her", Crocus chimed in.
"Oh…then it was a matter of time that we would find her basket?" Shanks pondered.
"Nothing is certain in the world Shanks, it wasn't certain that we would find her. We found her due to luck, fate, and," Gaban went over to rustle Shanks' hair, "a very amazing crew."
"Okay then." Shanks nodded. "She's still family and part of this crew regardless, so it doesn't matter where she came from." Shanks didn't question it.
Even if she is a legacy of their old comrade, or a mysterious Child that came to them via a basket, or an alien from outer space, or even some other mystical, amazing being, Astrid is Astrid.
Their beloved little girl.
All the older men in the room were relieved, as they all felt that Shanks could be trusted with this important information.
Many truths were made known to Shanks, as Ryuzaki, before his departure from the crew and from this world, ensured that his brothers, his trusted crewmates, knew about how a Child came to be in their world. About how Childes' have a certain weakness bestowed upon them, influenced by their past life. About the mysterious powers that they could potentially hold. Of why Astrid could do the 'strange' thing and still be able to go in the water.
Of the hardships that Childs' may face…of the constant target on their person due to the abilities gained and given..of the need for strength but also a chance for a normal, peaceful childhood before being dragged by a being that hates them with the very fiber of their soul…
Of the mark that identifies them as a Child, and the need to hide said mark to give them a chance…a chance to not be used.
Once finishing the explanation, this prompted Roger to ask a difficult question. The most trusted members of his crew and Shanks answers for this next important topic of conversation could decide on the journey that Astrid would have.
On the journey she would have when he reached his end.
"Shanks, Gaban, Crocus, Rayleigh," began the Captain, the young cabin boy and the older men giving him their undivided attention, "who among you would like to take care of Astrid?"
They all looked at him in confusion, waiting for him to continue on, as they all were already taking care of her.
He looked at all of them, meeting their eyes at least once, before continuing, "When the time comes where we all have to go our separate ways from the crew?"
The room went silent.
[ Location: North Blue; On the Seas; Continuing where we left off; Astrid: 5 years old ]
"Dad…," Astrid started out, handing the News Coo his tribute before getting the paper, "how much longer till we reach that place that you mentioned?"
"Hmmmm," Shanks continued looking at the compass and the map, adjusting their course to ensure that they went in the right direction, "if the wind keeps up, we should make it to that island in an hour." He grinned.
"Wooohoooo! Dad's the best!" Astrid jumped up and down, before going back to the paper, laying down on the small deck. Looking at new and old recirculated bounties. Some articles here and there about islands full of treasure, good vacation spots, and how some pirates are already making waves on the grande blue seas. Some ads for a crazy-new magazine, and the need for models. How there is an up-and-coming festival on an island on the South Blue, a concert in Paradise, and a news column about recipes for a family to enjoy.
Which brought about the question, as a certain stomach made a growl.
"Dad, are you hungry?"
"Hmmmm…." His own stomach growled in response.
They looked at each other, both laughing as they reached a consensus, even if it was not with words.
"Can I start cooking?!" Astrid got up, jumping up and down on the small boat.
"Hmmmm, what will it be today?" Shanks wiggled his eyebrows, as he laughed cheerfully, looking at the younger with mirth in his eyes.
Astrid pondered a bit, thinking about what they had on board, till she declared, "BURNT FISH!"
She nodded her head in confirmation, while her father burst out laughing at her antics. Many were to wonder, how can anyone proclaim that they are already going to burn something before they even cook it?
With Astrid's track record so far….it wasn't unimaginable.
"Burnt fish it is!" Shanks cheered, as Astrid started to set up the cooking supplies, preparing the basic of the most basic seasonings (salt and pepper helped in the most dire of times).
It wasn't long before Astrid, seated next to the young red-head that she proclaimed as a father figure, was eating fish and in a jolly good mood (she actually made it golden this time, it's a Christmas miracle!) with a small side-dish of —
[A Certain Being looks on]
Ohh, I did it again…now didn't I?
[Certain Being nodes]
But….they are watching it, others are living it, why can't I add a bit more for–
[Certain Being shakes head]
Right….there is a certain way things need to be done…..
I understand.
[Certain Being gestures to continue]
A side dish of rice. Astrid had managed to learn the basics of cooking not only from her Grandpa's, uncle, and the lovely Toki, but in her search for knowledge she aimed to become a Jack of all Trades. In a world where knowledge and strength are immeasurable powers, she (being the mature-but-not-so-mature-and-very-childish child that she is at ) —

[Certain Being sighs, motioning to reign it in a little, as I fist-pump in the air and continue on]
[ Location: North Blue; Land AHOY!; Astrid: 5 years old ]
"LAND!" Astrid began to chant.
"LAND!"
She did a lap in the small boat, causing it to rock a little.
"LAND!"
She climbed the mast, being careful to not mess with it too much for the wind direction.
"LAAAAAND!"
She jumped down, grinning ear to ear as she stuck the landing, her father letting out a whistle in wonder.
The island itself was of a moderate climate, one side was snowing while the side that the duo landed on was comfortable for regular shorts and a shirt. Shanks was wearing red khakis with a white button up shirt, the straw hat on top of his head as he tied his sword to his belt. Astrid was wearing shorts, sandals, and sporting a red u-neck t-shirt with short sleeves. Luckily for them, they didn't have to change into their winter clothes while visiting the island for supplies.
And maybe picking up some other stuff along the way…
Shanks had barely docked the boat when Astrid, being rather reckless due to missing being on land after those weeks at sea, decided to speed off.
Which caused Shanks to panic as he called out to her, which fell on deaf ears.
Astrid ran straight into town, Shanks hastily tying the small boat to the dock as he rushed after her. Astrid, being Astrid, went through alleyways and weaved through people, being careful with not tripping anyone or even herself. She scanned the areas that she would run in, seeing locals of pubs, markets, and aiming for the highest place to have a better vantage point.
The modest clocktower in the middle of the bustling town.
Does she usually run from her father? Usually twenty-five percent of the time, the other seventy-five is usually when she stays and behaves. Due to the nature of being at sea for so long with not much to do, one can only get so antsy and a bit restless when cramped in such a small boat. Added with the fact that each time she tries to make conversation with her Uncle Buggy on the Den-Den Mushi he has to leave in a hurry, often saying 'I'M ASSEMBLING MY OWN CREW! COME JOIN MINE!' with her father in ear-shot yelling 'NO!'.
Some fighting ensues and Astrid is left drawing or counting clouds, and when it's night time it becomes counting stars, and then to counting fish.
Counting near-death experiences with the oncoming storms and even the threat of sea kings making their surprise arrival from down-under.
Of course, there is also counting the times they were almost over-run by fellow pirates, on the run from marines, and even some chance encounters with some individuals.
More often than not, the days are long and boring, but at the very least, Astrid and her father are together.
But back to what they are doing in the present.
Astrid had made it to the door of the clocktower, having 'borrowed' the key from the local priest, when her father managed to catch up to her.
"ASTRID!" Shanks managed to huff out, a bit winded from all the running and jumping and sliding, (among other means to avoid obstacles in his wake).
"DAD! LOOK WHAT I GOT!" Astrid held the key proudly in her grasp, grinning as she waved it once, twice, before she inserted it into the lock.
"LAST ONE UP DOESN'T HAVE TO COOK DINNER!"
"HOW DOES THAT MAKE SEN– OoooiiiiIIIIIIII!"
Astrid had taken the lead, running for some parts, and others she was climbing like a monkey on the brick.
However did she manage to get such a good grip on the brick, many will never know, not even she…
Shanks, on the other hand, was gaining on her. Although older than her by eight or nine years , he is still fairly young, being able to compete with the child.
Shanks wins with a major upset, leading to Astrid leaping around and singing her dad's praises on reaching the top first.
They take a little rest, taking in the view in front of them.
Astrid sitting on the ledge, with Shanks standing next to her, holding onto her in case she accidentally scoots too far forward.
The town has multiple small docks, in the town that was a mix of Middle Ages architecture and some mixings of Renaissance style architecture here and there. Having given the town a better look, there is a hustle and bustle of people going about their day. Fruit vendors, meat vendors, fabric vendors, amongst peddlers from other islands, frozen treats brought from the other side of the island, and even some odd rarities could be seen from up above.
Once they caught their breath, Shanks let out a deep exhale, looking at his daughter.
"Ne~, Astrid."
"Hmmm."
"What do you think about getting something to eat instead of eating my food?"
Astrid turned a little to look at him, eyes wide behind her glasses as they reflected his face.
"Do we have enough berri?"
Which caused Shanks to fall down dramatically in surprise, chuckling as his eyes looked away from the young child as he got back up.
"We can make an exception today. The budget is still good."
Astrid pouted, "the budget is in smithereens Dad."
Shanks sighed, sitting beside her on the ledge of the clocktower.
"We'll make do, and we'll get by. Don't you believe Dad?" Shanks started patting her head, and messing with her hair.
"Yeah, I believe in Dad. I'll always believe in Dad." Astrid nodded along.
"What would you like to eat?"
"Brussel sprouts."
"Really?"
"Nope, I want ice cream!." Astrid laughed, a sing-song in her voice.
"BRUSSEL SPROUTS IT IS!"
"WAI—!"
[ Location: North Blue; Land AHOY!; 3 Days Later…; Astrid: 5 years old ]
"HOW THE HELL DID YOU FIND ME!", Astrid whined at the certain individual looking down at her from her hiding spot.
The man in question just chuckled, cigarette still in his mouth as he brought her out of the barrel and set her on the floor.
"I thought I told ya to stop followin' me?" the man shook his head, the expression on his face soft as he scolded her.
"BUT-"
"No."
"You didn't let me finish." Astrid looked away, grumbling with her cheeks puffed in a pout.
"I can't go with you till I'm done with what I need to do."
Astrid turned her head so fast, that she nearly gave herself whiplash.
"Really?" Astrid's irises turned into stars, looking up to the older man.
The man answered by giving her a pat on the head, grinning as he walked back into the tavern.
Astrid ran off, looking back one last time at the doors that the man threw, before she headed back to where Shanks was.
Obviously, the latter was very worried about her.
With her disappearing on him sporadically over the last three days.
On the first day, for the morning, everything had been normal, the both of them together. It was when someone had tried to kidnap the youngster in the afternoon, that was when there was a problem.
Not everything was as calm as it seemed.
Of course there was an underground black market, where other forces were at play on the bustling island. Although small, it was surprisingly bigger on the inside.
With a whole underground network that was accessed by the local-fairly-mean-black-market-men who decided that they wanted to make a quick berri by selling her.
And they failed, they failed miserably.
Thanks to the help of a certain man born on a different island in the North Blue, who is a quick draw with a pistol, a cigarette hanging from his mouth, and black hair tied in a loose ponytail.
Shanks immediately wanted him on his crew, although he didn't ask on the first day of meeting, and Astrid…..being Astrid…
Immediately claimed him as an Uncle, told him it was meant to be, and has been tracking him while avoiding shaddy forces for the last few days (while also kicking some ass butt the best that she can behind the scenes). Which in turn, has caused her dear old young Dad to be worried to a certain nth degree.
The man had been confused by his nieces'? antics for the first two hours before he just accepted it as fact.
There was no losing her, it wouldn't be easy.
And before he knew it, having talked with the child, he grew to like her. There was the added fact that she, not being oh-so-subtle at her age, asked, 'if given the chance, would you want to become a pirate with me?'
Which caused the man to stare at her blankly for around two seconds, replying with, 'I'll think about it.'
And her new Uncle, putting two and two together, should have known that there was something behind her antics. Well, multiple reasons, but he was a wanderer, and he was up for adventure.
And that was just the second day that they had met each other….
Overall, it's been a great three days so far, and the father-daughter duo (soon to be trio) had planned to stay there for a week.
Astrid went crashing into the tent that her father had set up outside of town, grinning from ear to ear while her father sighed in relief seeing that she was safe.
And gave her a one hour scolding on the nature of being alone, to be reminded once again that she was nearly kidnapped on the first day.
The world can be unfair and cruel, or merciful and kind to the beings that inhabit it. The world, the path one treks, either it being from fate or the willpower that comes from within, among other forces within or out of one's reach, work in tandem.
Separate, small coincidences or connected, striking incidences that herald a big change?
Only time would tell. Could tell….
Shanks then mentioned that he plans on recruiting Astrid's new Uncle, which she then cheered and started jumping up in the air, while he smiled fondly at her.
Everything was going to plan.
Wait…
…
…
Did we even HAVE A PLAN BACK THEN?!
[ Location: North Blue; DEPARTURE!; 7 Days Later; Astrid: 5 years old ]
"Hey Dad?"
"Yes Astrid?"
"How did Uncle Benn steal a boat this huge?"
"Meticulously", he paused, "and he didn't get shot."
The younger thought for a while, nodding while her right hand rubbed her chin for her nonexistent beard.
"I see."
"I can hear the both of you, ya know," the man gruffed out, releasing a puff of smoke as he piloted the helm while Shanks manned the ropes.
Shanks barked out a laugh, "you were supposed to!."
Causing Astrid to chuckle beside him.
And the man in question scoffed, looking off to the side to hide a small smile.
The events of that island would be passed down, written, and even a stage play would be adapted in which the tale of the three's contribution to taking down the black market in that town.
Well semi-successfully….
They hindered plans, rescued children, and even gave a good beating to a 'Big Boss'! Before long, the trio found themselves with an exploded starter boat, being chased around on both sides on the island, and leading a mini-revolution while making their escape back to sea.
They were officially stuck with each other, and at the time to even now, they wouldn't have changed it for the world.
Shanks and Beckman lead the way to the boat warehouse, Shanks (with the help of Astrid's wooden sword) fending off the assailants while Beckman acquired the bigger vessel.
Something that would carry them even farther than the boat that the duo had previously.
Their adventure is only starting, and the future is still so bright.
For now.
[ Location: South Blue; LAND AHOY!; Astrid: 6 years old ]
Whenever the trio landed on this island, Shanks told Astrid that she could have free reign (to a reasonable amount) as long as she had a Den-Den Mushi on her.
And that she reported to the two older individuals every few odd hours while they went around recruiting more crew members.
Which wasn't bad, it wasn't bad at all.
It was when she grew attached to a kid near her age, calling him little brother, and then teaching that kid everything she knows…
It wasn't bad, but it made it a bit sad for everyone for when she would need to go.
In helping the four? five? year old out, she recognized that he was quick witted, silent but deadly, and that he had the potential for greatness.
So she did what she always did.
Astrid called out to the scruffy kid, following him all the way to his place.
Seeing all the dirt, among other bad conditions the home was in…..
She decided to help clean up, much to the confusion and dismay of the younger.
Getting the cleaning supplies by doing the 'strange' thing, already having been seen by the kid due to an accident and quick-thinking, she handed him a bucket and a mop.
They got to work.
Over the four months of training and staying with the kid, Astrid explained to the best of her kid ability to her father and uncle that this was a form of training in of itself.
Added to the fact that she compared other parenting methods that she may or may not have observed when they were on other islands, that this was a good way to learn some independence.
Sometimes even she didn't understand herself, like the things that she discussed that she had no prior knowledge of would suddenly appear. She would have deja vu, sometimes once a day, other times it would be multiple.
It caused her a multitude of headaches, which she wouldn't mention, and made her wonder….
Astrid taught her new younger brother as much as she could, from cooking and seasoning, to cleaning and being self-sufficient, to some reading and writing. She talked and talked and talked, trying to help him understand what he couldn't follow.
Taught him some self-defense, practice, practice, practice, to the point that he would pout. He watched from the sidelines while she performed her version of a Training from Hell (TFO Version Number 1, for short) after a long day of productivity.
A four/five year old and a six year old shouldn't be worried about these things, they should be focusing on playing and have a variety of interests.
They should have hobbies, no matter how mundane, or acting on their avid curiosity.
But sadly, with the younger being an orphan all too young, and the older being an apprentice (mascot), they had to learn so much at a young age in order to survive.
The younger grew used to the older.
Was happy, even though he wouldn't admit it then.
He was grateful, and would say he was grateful in his teenage to adult life to the older.
The memories made, the haphazard shenanigans around the island, added with the fact of the sudden introduction of the older duo, among some new Uncles that the older grew to love, caused some divergences for the future.
And ultimately, it made it all the sadder for when she was to leave…
(But they would keep in touch, with the help of some Den-Den Mushis.)
"HEY!" Astrid called out.
"WHAT'S YOUR NAME!?" She was on the side of the boat, cupping her hands as she looked at the younger.
The younger grinned, running and waving at her as he finally gave her his name after all the time they spent together.
Before things went to shit crap.
"KILLER!"
[ Location: South Blue; LAND AHOY! AGAIN!; Astrid: 6.75 years old ]
In recruiting crew members, many small, medium, and large misadventures are sure to happen along the way.
(As well as humongous misadventures, but we can get to that even more later.)
Especially for a future, crazy-partying-fully-balanced-badass-Yonko's crew.
In meeting the first mate, there was a revolution.
For the second mate, after recruiting some more people on the last island, on the other hand….
"Astrid, would you like to enter this contest?" her father held up the flier to the younger, giving details about how it's a memorization contest, well, a match this card with this card contest.
First prize gets a life-time supply of whatever the sponsors are providing, a rarity for the Grand Line, even more so for one of the Blues.
All the crew members looked at each other while Shanks announced this, all silently thinking the same thing…
We're screwed…
Badly.
[ Location: South Blue; LAND AHOY! AGAIN!; Astrid: 6.8 years old ]
Astrid was winning by a landslide and people were starting to get pissed off.
Wait, [I look to the Certain Being who is currently sighing at my word choice], let me rephrase that.
Astrid was hash-tag-winning so much that blood-lust was being generated by the other contestants as they stared down the young child.
[Certain Being is currently banging their head on a table as I smile wide at them]
And the crew's protective mode was working, full force.
Shanks had relayed the story many times before, on how he believes how Astrid became so good at…well…(gambling) card games, some sports, among other specific competitions that require some type of risk involved.
On an island that the Pirate King's crew, which he omitted saying, claiming it was a regular pirate crew, had landed, Astrid had helped an old lady at the age of three.
It wasn't known if that old lady had a devil fruit, some supernatural power, among other things, but Astrid managed to convince her Grandpas, Auntie, half-siblings, Uncle, and her Father that she had to help the lady. To give the lady a helping hand, even for a short while.
(They had to run off the island four days later, having been chased by Marines)
Before that, she couldn't play card games to save her life.
After that, with Astrid saying, 'she gave me her blessing for victory? She told me that I can win as long as I try hard enough.'
She was able to beat everyone, as long as she had a goal and put in the effort, she was able to perform beyond anyone's expectations for certain games.
Which even surprised herself, leading her to avoid such games to not cause too much chaos in a department that she doesn't want too much of a hand in.
This brings us back to the present, where she is currently helping her Dad and crew gain a lot of berri by betting, and the prospect of the grand prize.
But there was a competitor. Who. could. Match. Up. to. Her.
"That Lucky Roux is really great! DAD, WE SHOULD RECRUIT HIM!" Astrid looked to her father, eyes twinkling and thinking of all the possibilities if they had such a cool member on their crew.
"Astrid," Shanks started to ruffle her hair, "how are you able to read my mind?"
He chuckled a little, with her responding, "I know you too well by now," with her nose sticking out.
In meeting Lucky Uncle Roux, Astrid asked a multitude of questions, grinning widely as he shared some of the bar-b-que that he had on hand.
(Which he wouldn't do for anyone else on the crew, except for another young girl, but that's not until later still)
Let's just say, some bartering was done, friendships were made, and they were chased off another island due to a talented young child and her amazing Uncle that managed to best most of the contestants.
[ Location: East Blue; LAND AHOY! AGAIN! AGAIN!; Astrid: 7 years old ]
"We managed to get to the East Blue for another Uncle?" Astrid tugged on her Uncle Benn's shirt.
"Yup, according to Boss, we are getting ourselves a sniper." Benn smiled at the younger, arms crossed across his chest as his Captain took one of the lifeboats to get to that island.
(It would be a bit later that they would visit some of the Blue's more often, with the Sniper returning home every once and a while until the crew would depart for the New World
Leaving behind…)
It took some time, and much convincing, but now.
For now, the crew of the Red Haired Pirates, on top of their vessel that has become worse for wear, had assembled the main cast of their crew.
Astrid, meeting her new Uncle, gave her greetings and showed him around the vessel, before making small talk while talking about everything as well as nothing at all.
Which managed to surprise the new crew member, laughing and smiling….
More good times to come, and so little time to relay them.
[ Location: Unknown; Unknown - Sailing to a CERTAIN ISLAND ; XX/ XX/ XXXX]
"Woooow, we really took a liking to her the moment that we met her!" a certain man was smacking the table, pointing to the image of himself when he was younger.
"That Astrid has always had a certain charm to her. Before one knows it, they have a smile on their face." the man with a cigarette hanging from his lip, right next to his crewmate, agreed, a small smile on his face as he reminisced about those days.
"SHUT UP, SOME OF US ARE TRYING TO WATCH IN SILENCE HERE!" huffed a certain red-head, even when he was so close to the screen.
"Why don't you shut up, Eustass-ya?"
"WHY DON'T YOU MAKE ME?!"
"HaaaaH?" The other man was taking that as a challenge, slowly drawing his sword.
There was a certain tension in the air, while both crews were trying to calm down their respective captains. Even the other pirates, individuals, and unaffiliated on board sensed a fight about to break out. Many were preparing to put a stop to it, to speak up, and others were already starting to place bets.
A certain orange-head was sneaking from table to table, with a certain long-nosed sniper behind her helping out in this certain betting behavior/endeavor.
Taking bets was an art, and money was to be made in any situation.
Before anything serious happened, and with no one paying attention to the screen as it continued playing, the silence was soon eliminated when a loud–
"NO FIGHTING!", called out the Astrid, causing everyone to look at the screen. At some moment the younger versions of the Red Haired Pirate crew had gotten into a scuffle, only for the young apprentice (mascot) member to break it up.
Miraculously speaking, of course.
Which caused everyone in the present room to start laughing, killing two birds with one stone.
Both men exchanged dirty looks, an undeniable promise that they would seek vengeance? Perform a duel? They would both do something to get even, as they all continued watching the screen.
A/N: YOOOO!
It's a me, DH, comin' to ya live from somewhere in the world!
I have a job now! WOOOO! And I'm still studin' for that one test! DOUBLE WOOOO!
Anywho, I tried to make this as interesting and fun and entertaining and well…
I have some sense of a plot, this is purely self-indulgent at this point and I hope all of ya are not thinkin this is, well, bad writing.
Even when posting, I try to fix grammar, punctuation, proper-ly format, among other things because it's too ingrained in me by now to ignore it. Then finding the time to write is also a hassle, added with, 'what shall this blank page describe in my weird speak this time'.
I make sense in my head, not on paper, which leads to proofreading, and maybe getting a second opinion.
Also, some stuff, due to not knowing everyone's origins, and what Oda-sensei will do with backstory…
Creative liberties were taken, all I'm sayin from what y'all are seein'
(Not fully canon, please don't sue me)
(Will be surprised if some stuff from the fic or someone else's fic is actually canon..)
Wishful thinking, wishful thinking
ANYWHO, ALL THE BEST!
PEACE OUT WITH A FIST OF LOVE!
- DH
P.S.
I might make some small additional chapters/content for the crazy shenanigans that she got into.
Emphasis on MIGHT.
All love, no hate.
