Sakura spent the rest of the day creating some extra Hiraishin seals. She had tucked them away into her pouch and then she started meditating. The kunoichi felt the world around her shift and opened her eyes to be met with a sea of black .
'Hey Outer! Shannaro!' Inner greeted.
'Hey Inner.'
'Are we going to go see our clone?' Sakura's shadow asked.
'We'll go at night time.' The kunoichi answered. Inner and Outer continued to chat as they waited for the sun to set. After a while the two decided to spar, they stood up from where they had been sitting down and got into their stances.
The two charged at each other, Sakura sent a punch to Inner's face. Her shadow dodged before sending a kick to her side. The pinkette caught her Inner's foot, sending her own kick to her shadow's head. Sakura's opponent caught the foot, making them look as if they were doing some sort of yoga balancing challenge. They continued to spar, kicking one another when they could and throwing punches when they saw an opening.
After what felt like forever the two finished their spar, both of them panting as they lay on their backs.
'Well.. that was... fun.. shannaro..' Sakura chuckled as she turned her head to look at her Inner.
'Is it night yet Inner?' She asked as said person yawned.
'Yup, shannaro!' Inner closed her eyes tiredly as she began to succumb to sleep.
'I'll take that as my sign to leave.' The kunoichi thought as she closed her eyes and focused on her senses and the outside world.
She opened her eyes and found herself sitting crossed legged on a tree branch. The pinkette blinked at the thin branch rapped around her waist. She was sure that that hadn't been there before.
'How odd.' She thought as she tried to wiggle her way out of the branch's grasp. The branch loosened around her waist before slowly disappearing out of her sight. Hesitantly the pinkette smiled and thanked whichever tree had lent her a branch.
The pinkette looked up at the dark sky, it was littered with stars and constellations, non of which were familiar to the girl. Sakura shook her head before making her way towards the village. The kunoichi loved travelling under the cover of darkness, it made her feel like an actual ninja. Of course that didn't make much sense since she was a ninja but it was the only way the pinkette could describe it.. there was just a certain thrill about travelling in the dead of night.
The kunoichi made her way into the village, she was still largely disappointed by the security. She would at least like a bit of a challenge! She leaped onto the tree and landed in front of her clone- who was still disguised as a bird.
"Yo." She said.
"Finally, I was wondering when you were going to get here." The pinkette rolled her eyes at her clone's behavior, honestly who knew clones could be so sassy?
"Me and Inner got caught up in a spar." She stated. "Now please get on with your report."
Her clone sighed before giving her report, "The man hasn't been very productive, every now and again he makes his way out of the village, patrolling the area. I think he's growing anxious which makes me believe that the person he's waiting for may be in danger. He usually eats his food in his room." Sakura nodded her head as she listened to her clone.
She furrowed her brows as she thought about what her clone said. 'Danger? So far I haven't come across anything in this world that could be considered even remotely dangerous.' In fact the most dangerous thing she had come across were the trees that liked to snake their branches around her at night and the only reason they did that was to keep her warm.
'Hmm, maybe this world isn't used to fighting and so things that snake around their waist's are all dangerous?' Inner, who had apparently woken up from her nap piped in.
'That's possible.' Sakura nodded.
"Anyway you should probably go, we wouldn't want anybody to spot us.." Her clone said, reminding her that they were currently in a tree and were trying to stay unnoticed.
"Ok but is he asleep?"
"Who? Oh-do you mean our guide?" Sakura nodded. "Err I think so but why do you want to know?"
"I need to drop something off.." She smirked. Her clone looked at her oddly before shrugging her little wings and nestling into the nest she had made. The pinkette focused her attention to the building behind her.
'I'm pretty sure this is his window..' She thought as she climbed up the wall of the building and made her way towards the window of his room. She spotted the man sleeping peacefully in a chair right by the window she was peeking through.
'Shannaro! We were right! We're geniuses!' The kunoichi ignored Inner as she focused on finding a way inside. 'Maybe we should enter the building like a normal person and then just sneak into his room.'
'That's a good idea but we have blood on our cloak and we can't go inside without it because our hair will make us stand out.'
'We'd stand out anyway since we'd look like a shady person covering our face and stuff!' Inner huffed. Sakura frowned as she tried figure out what she could do to sneak inside. 'Why don't we just take a cloak from somewhere and wear that?'
'How come you're coming up with all the ideas?' The pinkette felt like pouting as she climbed further up the building. She made it onto the roof and knelt down at the edge, overlooking the village. She sent chakra to her eyes and searched for anything that she could use. 'I doubt that we would be able to find a random cloak just laying around..'
'Then just sneak into a random house and steal one, shannaro.'
'I can't just do that!'
'Why not?'
'It's not right!'
'Outer.' Inner started. 'Do you want to go home?'
'What kind of question is that? Of course I do!'
'Would you do anything to get home?'
'To a degree..'
'Then just take a cloak. Shannaro.'
'But-!'
'Outer-chan, listen to me, I am doing this for your own good. Shannaro!' This was the last thing the pinkette heard before she felt her control over her body slip.
Whenever Inner took control by force she could make Sakura fall unconscious. It felt as if she was asleep underwater, she could hear but everything was fuzzy and unclear. All her other senses were numbed.
Whilst Outer Sakura was stuck in a black sea of nothing Inner was leaping from roof to roof, trying to find a cloak. She slipped into a house via chimney and took a black cloak off a hook by the front door. Slipping on the item of clothing she noticed that it was slightly too big for her.
'Oh well, Outer should be grateful that I'm even doing this, shannaro!' Inner huffed.
She made sure that the cloak was secured before she left the building. The cloak she and Outer had before was the standard Konoha- white with two red stripes at the bottom- cloak. The cloak she was wearing now was made of a different material to their old one, it was black and Inner Sakura could tell that it was waterproof. She made her way back to the Inn, stopping on the rooftop opposite the building.
'Inner, what the heck was that?' A familiar voice yelled.
'Oh, hey Outer!'
'What did you do?' The girl groaned.
'Erm..' Without warning Inner let go her control of the body, forcing her other half to be in the driver's seat.
The pinkette looked down at what she was wearing and groaned in annoyance when she realised what Inner had done.
'Inner!' She whined.
'What? Shannaro!'
'I told you that stealing is bad!'
'Well.. yeah but at least you can go in the Inn now.. kind of.' Sakura sighed in annoyance. She would just have to go for it. She would be in and then out, no-one would even notice her.
The teenager jumped down from the roof she was on before walking over to the Inn. The hood of the dark cloak was covering her hair and face from view. The whole of her form was engulfed by the cloak. Taking a deep breath the pinkette opened the door of the Inn and walked inside.
