They journeyed up the mountains, fighting to keep standing as the harsh blizzard threatened to blow them away. Snow rained down on them, so cold their clothes were practically frozen. The smaller men of the group were being supported by Aragorn and Boromir. Legolas was at the front of the group, standing atop the snow, seeming to be unaffected by the harsh weather they were faced with. The others were following behind the elf, the thick layer of snow on the ground parting as they struggled through it. Even the horse, Bill, was having a hard time as he was led by Gimli.

The blonde haired elf made his way past the rest of the Fellowship and stopped to try and look past the heavy snow. He narrowed his eyes as the snow and cold air fought against him and his keen ears caught on what sounded like a voice.

"There is a foul voice on the air." He said.

"It's Saruman!" Gandalf yelled as he turned to look at the rest of the group. His beard had caught a lot of snow which did nothing to help him keep warm.

There was a loud noise that came from above and the fellowship looked up only for their eyes to widen at the boulders tumbling down towards them. They took cover, Aragorn and Boromir doing their best to shield the hobbits as the large rocks fell against the mountain.

"He's trying to bring down the mountain!" Aragorn shouted. "Gandalf, we must turn back!"

"No!" The wizard yelled.

The voice that was echoing through the mountains grew louder and Gandalf began to speak, this time it was in hopes of overpowering Saruman.

"Losto Caradhras, sedho bodo, nuitho I ruith!"

Out of nowhere, lightning struck the top of the mountain the fellowship were climbing up and more large pieces of rock came crashing down. They were accompanied by snow and the group of men were not as lucky as they had been before for this time they were suffocated by snow. A white sheet of cold fell like a waterfall, covering up the fellowship and drowning them in snow.

Only the whistle of the harsh winds could be heard as the falling of the snow and rock came to an end.

Sakura could safely say that she would enjoy punching whoever it was that had designed shinobi footwear. Who was it that thought ninjas wearing open-toe sandals was a good idea? Sakura wanted to walk up to the designer of her footwear and yell in their face that it was ridiculous. Her poor toes would have fallen off if it weren't for her chakra keeping her warm. What if she were some inexperienced team of genin? Their shinobi careers would be over before they even had a chance to become chunin! She was just thankful for her chakra control, without it she doubted she would be able to hold up a genjutsu, keep herself warm and walk atop the snow all at once.

The group travelling in front of her were suffering a lot and the pinkette felt rather sorry for them. Though, she was curious as to how the elf was managing to walk on top of the snow like she was. She couldn't sense him using any chakra and although she was no sensor nin she was confident in her skills in that department.

The blonde haired man made it to the front of the small group and looked out to the distance. As he did so the kunoichi's ears caught what sounded like a low grumble echoing through the area. She guessed that the blonde haired male heard it as well, for he said something.

The old man with the pointy hat yelled in the gibberish the people in the land she was in all seemed to talk and all of a sudden there was a loud rumble from above. They all looked up and Sakura's breath escaped her at the boulders and snow falling towards them. She grit her teeth. If she was hit then it was possible she would loose control over her chakra and, as a result, release her genjutsu and reveal her presence. She hurriedly hugged the side of the mountain, using her chakra to stick her form to it. Then the green eyed ninja sent chakra to her arms and head, hoping to strengthen them as she covered her head with her arms.

She heard multiple voices but not once did she move. Then, the sound of thunder came from above and Sakura closed her eyes, scrunching them up tightly. A wave of cold hit her and their was a sharp pain in her back but she kept her emerald eyes closed and bit her lip to resist the urge to cry out.

Only when she was sure that the avalanche of sorts had ended did she remove herself from the side of the Mountain and uncover her head. She opened her eyes and made sure that her genjutsu was still up before looking around to see if the group were ok. She had to admit she felt bad for not protecting them, though she supposed the only way she could have was by punching through the boulders and by somehow getting rid of the snow. Then again that would give away her presence and though she was beginning to grow bored of lurking in the shadows she knew she couldn't reveal herself yet.

In all honesty she was surprised that she had yet to be discovered though that could be because she was without Naruto. The blonde really was terrible at stealth and when they had tried to go on missions where keeping one's presence a secret was important the whiskered male always somehow found a way to get them discovered. Sakura couldn't blame him though, he was incredibly powerful but being quiet and sneaking around just really wasn't his thing. Now that she thought about it, it had been sort of her fault on a few occasions. She hadn't been able to keep her temper in check and had ultimately taken out her anger on Naruto. She felt bad for the blonde though, she knew he didn't think too much of it and she always made sure not to hurt him too badly. The blonde had a strong skull and she thought that it may partly be her doing (all those punches had to have some effect on the male).

Sakura sighed quietly to herself and shook her head. She had to stop thinking about Naruto and her other friends at home. All it was doing was making her sad and homesick. She didn't want to dwell on what kind of trouble they could be in.

She focused instead on trying to see if any of the males in the group had found their way out of the snow. The pinkette really hoped that none of them had tumbled off the side of the mountain.

When a few minutes had passed, Sakura started to grow anxious and was just about to dig them up when a head of long blonde hair appeared. Then popped out an arm from somewhere else and she heard the grumble of a voice. It sounded quite frantic and she watched as the rest of the group appeared from under the blanket of white.

One of the men shouted something before someone else said something else. Then the one holding the axe said something and there was a brief moment of silence as the wind screamed in their ears.

~{*.*}~

Shivering and covered in snow the fellowship resurfaced from under the frosty blanket that covered the mountains.

"We must get off the mountain! Make for the Gap of Rohan. Or take the west road to my city." Boromir shouted.

"The Gap of Rohan is too close to Isengard." Aragorn argued.

"We cannot pass over the mountain. Let us go under it. Let us go through the Mines of Moria." The dwarf of the group spoke.

Gandalf's mind wandered to flames and gold. To greed and war. He settled on a decision and hoped that it was not a mistake.

"Let the Ring-Bearer decide." He spoke. The blue eyed hobbit was shivering and his cheeks were rosy from the cold. "Frodo?"

"We will go through the mines." He said with confidence he did not feel.

"So be it."

As decided the group began to travel towards the entrance of the Mines of Moria, the dwarf keeping them all entertained as he talked on and on about his people and other things.

"Oh.. The Walls.. of Moria." Gimli gasped quietly, pointing up at the large wall of rock that stood in front of them.

They made their way closer, Frodo clumsily stepping into the water of the pond by the entrance of Moria, creating a small splash.

"Well, let's see.." Gandalf whispered as he examined a part of the mountain. "Ithildin. It mirrors only starlight and moonlight." The wizard turned around to look up at the night sky, his eyes focused on the full moon.

He turned back and saw an archway illuminate from the side of the mountain. It was beautiful and there were a series of peculiar characters at the top of the arch. He smiled, resting a fist on his hip as he stared at the brilliant sight. The rest of the Fellowship gazed in awe at it.

~{*.*}~

After a bunch of odd grumbling, none of which she understood, they were travelling once again. She had sent healing chakra to her back since she was pretty sure that a boulder had crashed against it and that would no doubt leave a bruise.

Sakura marvelled at the scenery, though it was night she found the area beautiful. It had a sense of peace yet the green eyed beauty also felt as if there was something ominous in the atmosphere. The peace though, she found, she needed. She found that her muscles relaxed slightly, though only a bit. She let herself take in a deep breath as she closed her emerald orbs. Then, all of a sudden she opened her eyes, her muscles tensing once again as she heard the sound of a splash. Her eyes immediately found the culprit and she sighed silently when she realised it had just been one of the shorties.

The seventeen year old had noticed that the shorties all had exceptionally large and hairy feet, except for the one with the axe. The four shorties with the big feet wore no shoes and the pinkette found herself thinking back to the previous snowy climate they had been in and felt kind of bad for them. Though they wore more layers then she did, at least she had something to protect her feet from the cold. The poor shorties might have gotten frostbite had they stayed up there any longer.

Her green eyes moved to the shortie with the axe. He had been talking nonstop for most of the journey from the mountains to where they were now and Sakura had wanted nothing more then to hit him in the head and tell him to shut up. It wasn't that she minded him talking it was just the fact that all her brain processed were grumbles and other unidentified sounds. The whole thing was starting to give her a headache and Sakura made a mental note to fix that later.

The old man with the pointy hat began to speak in the odd way people in this land all seemed to communicate in and Sakura's eyes roamed the area, her mind calculating and locating all possible exits and escape routes. Then she focused on what the man in the robes and odd hat was doing. The man stepped away from the side of the mountain and turned to look up at the night sky. Sakura followed his gaze, her emerald orbs finding the bright moon.

When something lit up behind her, her shinobi instincts kicked in and before she could stop herself she flung a razor-sharp kunai at whatever it was that had suddenly begun glowing. When her mind managed to catch up with her actions she froze.

Her kunai was stuck in the mountain, dead in the centre of what appeared to be some sort of glowing doorway. It was stunning, two trees had their branches climbing up the archway and there was a star in between them. Above that, near the top of the doorway was what looked like a tool sticking into a piece of rock. Above that was a crown and at the very top of the archway were what looked like some random scribbles.

The kunoichi wasn't paying attention to the illuminated doorway though, her mind was focused on the group around her.

~{*.*}~

It was silent. One second they were all looking at what had appeared on the side of the mountain and the next their eyes had moved to an odd looking knife that was sticking out of the centre of the illuminated archway.

"W-what.. what is that?" Pippin asked, his eyes wide.

"More like where has it come from." Boromir's lips were parted as his eyes looked around the area. "There isn't anyone else here, at least not anyone I can see."

Gimli was fuming as he turned around, facing the lake. "Come out you coward! How dare you disrespect-" He was interupted when he noticed Gandalf take the weapon out of the side of the mountain.

The wizard grunted as he yanked it out of the rock.

He frowned as he examined the knife-like weapon, his thick eyebrows moving closer together as his fingers traced its outline. It was unlike any other weapon he had seen. Whoever had made it was skilled though for it was well-designed and well-crafted.

The rest of the Fellowship moved closer to him, all trying to get a better look at the mysterious weapon.

"I do not recognise its design." Legolas frowned as he met Gandalf's eyes. "It does not look anything like the blades we elves craft."

"Nor does it look like what us dwarves forge." Gimli said, scratching his beard in confusion.

"I too, do not recognise it." Boromir frowned.

Aragorn moved his hands closer to the weapon, meeting Gandalf's gaze before carefully picking up the peculiar knife. He held it up to his eyes, slowly inspecting it. He ran his hands down the blade, creases forming on his forehead as the tip of the blade cut his finger, causing blood to leak out of the small wound. He sucked on his finger for a moment before wiping of the saliva on his clothes.

The weapon looked familiar. Aragorn had only caught a breath glance at the cloaked creature's odd knives but if he remembered correctly the weapon he held in his hands now, was identical to those he had seen the mysterious being use.

The ranger looked up, once again meeting the wizard's glance.

"May I hold onto this?" Gandalf nodded in response, a confused smile on his face.

After a while, the group had checked to see if anyone was following them and when they found no one they returned to the illuminated archway.

"It reads.. 'The Doors of Durin, Lord of Moria. Speak, friend, and enter.'" Gandalf read aloud to the rest of the group as his staff moved from word to word to show which character he was reading.

"What do you suppose that means?" Merry asked.

"Well, it's quite simple. If you are a friend, you speak the password and the doors will open." Gandalf then placed his staff against the archway and began to talk again, this time his voice was much louder. "Annon edhellen, edro hi ammen!"

The group stared at the wall and when nothing happened Gandalf moved away and held his staff properly. After a moment of thought, the wizard approached the lit up arch again. He put his hands against it and began pushing. Then he tried pushing against the rock with his shoulder and his side but alas neither worked. The Fellowship watched, their previously amazed and eager expressions now confused and dejected. It seemed as though the odd knife had been cleared from their minds.

~{*.*}~

Gandalf's chants echoed through the area as he continued to try and persevere to get the archway to open. The rest of the group were either watching, on lookout or talking in hushed voices.

"The mines are no place for a pony, even one so brave as this." Aragorn said. He and Sam were saying their goodbyes to the animal who had helped them carry most of their belongings for the better part of their travels, it was too bad the pony couldn't join them for as Aragorn had said before, the mines are no place for a pony.

"Bye-bye, Bill." Sam said as he took off the animal's bridle.

"Go on, Bill. Go on." Aragorn said as Bill began to walk away. The pony was now without anything to carry and Sam felt a mixture of emotions as he watched the animal leave. "Don't worry, Sam. He knows the way home."

Meanwhile, Pippin was throwing rocks into the lake, Merry watching from his place on the ground. Just as the hobbit was about to throw another, Aragorn caught his arm.

"Do not disturb the water." He warned.

"Oh, it's useless.." Gandalf finally gave up. The wizard let his staff fall to the ground and he moved to sit next to Frodo. He took off his hat as he looked helplessly at the illuminated archway.

Boromir stood behind Aragorn and they both stared at the body of water, seeing a ripple form in it out of nowhere.

Frodo stood up from his seat next to Gandalf, his stunning blue eyes staring at the glowing image.

"It's a riddle." He said.

A small wave made itself known as it drifted towards the fellowship. Pippin now noticing that something was wrong.

"'Speak, friend, and enter.'" Frodo smiled. "What's the Elvish word for friend?"

Another wave.

"Hmm? Mellon."

Just as Gandalf finished speaking, there was a loud noise as the Doors of Durin opened.

The rest of the group all stood, up looking at the now open doors. None of them could see past the entryway though, since it was dark.

As he stood up, Merry frowned, looking at the lake. The others collected their things and walked inside.

"Soon, Master Elf, you will enjoy the fabled hospitality of the Dwarves. Roaring fires, malt beer, ripe meat off the bone." Gimli spoke. "This, my friend, is the home of my cousin Balin and they call it mine! A mine!"

As the dwarf spoke, Gandalf blew on the crystal on his staff, creating a light to guide them through the dark tunnels of the Mines of Moria. The sight he was met with as the light shone, was one of a massacre.

"This is no mine." Boromir spoke, looking around. "It's a tomb."

The hobbits gasped, looking down to see skeletons and dusty clothes. The bones of the skeletons were covered in cobwebs with arrows and other weapons sticking out at odd angles. Gimli seemed to notice as well and his voice trembled as he talked.

"No.. No. No!" He screamed. The pain of seeing his kin dead was creating an agonising pain within him and he screamed in anguish for his poor kindred.

Legolas pulled out an arrow of which had stuck itself inside one of Gimli's family members. The blonde elf looked at the arrow, his eyes fixed on it. "Goblins."

He frowned as he looked around the area as if one would come out to attack him at that very moment. Legolas threw away the arrow as he and the others prepared to fight, Gimli's cries of denial still going on in the background.

"We make for the Gap of Rohan. We should never have come here." Boromir said.

The hobbits huddled together, nervously backing away, towards the exit.

"Now get out of here. Get out!" Boromir shouted.

Frodo suddenly fell back, something having had grasped his ankle. The other hobbits gasped and yelled his name, Merry and Pippin trying to grab onto their friend as whatever had gotten a hold on him tried to drag him away.

"Strider!" Sam yelled back through the doors where the rest of the group were. "Get off him!" He yelled as he swung his sword at the tentacles that had gone for his friend.

Frodo shuffled back with the help of his friends. They were all panting heavily as they watched more tentacles appear from out of the water. They hit Sam, Pippin and Merry onto the ground and picked up Frodo, carrying him into the air.

"Frodo!" The other hobbits yelled. Legolas shot an arrow at the tentacle however it didn't do much.

"Strider!" The male dangling from the creature's grasp screamed in panic.

Aragorn and Boromir were both occupied with fighting off the rest of the tentacles that had appeared in their way when they had tried to run after Frodo.

The blue eyed hobbit was lifted up higher by the giant creature before he was slowly lowered. The head of the underwater creature emerged and it stared straight at the hobbit it was holding. It opened its giant mouth, revealing its sharp teeth.

The creature dropped Frodo and the male screamed in fright. All the rest of the Fellowship could do was watch him fall. Sam stared, his eyes wide and watery as he yelled his friend's name. Pippin and Merry had their mouths agape as they watched, wide-eyed. Legolas and Gandalf were frozen and Boromir and Aragorn were still busy fighting the tentacles that were blocking their path to Frodo. Gimli was in no state to fight as he was still facing the reality that his kin were dead. The hobbit fell, his blue eyes squeezed shut and then he felt strong arms grab him and there was a loud screech from below.

~{*.*}~

Sakura wasn't exactly sure what was going on. After the group had searched the area, probably to try and find the one who had thrown the kunai (aka: her), they met back at the glowing archway and the man with the pointy hat, who sort of reminded her of the third Hokage, said something before pushing against the side of the mountain.

Ever since then he had been chanting something, not that she could understand any of it. The rest of the group were doing their own thing, her guide and one of the shorties were taking off all the things the horse had been carrying and had been wearing which, Sakura guessed meant they were going to send him on his way. The dark haired shortie who had the Ring was sitting near the old man, on a rock. The two shorties who resembled each other were by the lake, one of them sitting down and the other throwing rocks into the body of water. The other males were all standing watch, keeping an eye out on the surrounding area.

The pinkette had to admit she regretted not examining the horse. If she had ran her medical chakra through it she could have gotten a better idea on its anatomy. The female sighed, she was sure there would be another chance to do that in the future.

Her attention was caught when she noticed her guide grab the shortie who had been throwing rocks into the water's arm. The stranger said something and the man with the pointy hat appeared to finally give up on whatever he had previously been trying to do.

Sakura's green eyes snapped towards the lake. She had heard the sound of the water moving and frowned when she spotted a small ripple on the surface of the water. Soon after a small wave appeared, heading towards them. Her muscles tensed as her eyes scanned the lake. She swallowed. There wasn't any wind. She couldn't see anything above the water which meant that whatever was causing the lake to move was underwater.

There was another wave and Sakura was tempted to investigate when a loud noise came from behind her. She turned around to see that where the illuminated drawing was on the side of the mountain, two doors made from rock had parted, revealing some sort of dark passageway.

The group of men walked through the doors and Sakura spared another look back at the lake, narrowing her eyes before following the group inside.

It was dark and Sakura's eye twitched as the shortie with the axe grumbled on about something. A light coming from the man with the pointy hat's staff lit up the area and Sakura stopped walking her muscles tensing up as she stared at the many skeletons littered around the place.

Her breathing grew quicker and suddenly the skeletons around her were her friends' corpses. The cave she was in resembled the cave she fought Sasori in but also shared similarities to that of Orochimaru's base. She could feel the cold nipping at her skin and she looked down at her hands only for her eyes to widen when she saw that they were covered in blood. She heard the sound of weak breathing and her head snapped in that direction. She saw a large boulder and her eyes watered when she spotted blonde hair.

She sprinted towards the blond and kneeled down next to them.

"Ino!" She cried as she looked at her childhood friend. The female was stuck underneath the large rock and her head was bleeding. Her face was pale and her beautiful blue eyes were only half open. Her lips were parted and she was breathing shallowly. Green eyes moved down her form. Ino's abdomen was crushed and one of her legs was mangled. Only one of the blonde's arms was visible and with that arm, Ino pointed at Sakura.

"Y-you..!" The pinkette opened her mouth but no words left her as tears rolled down her cheeks. "You.. you d-did this.."

Sakura's emerald eyes widened and she shook her head.

"No.." She whispered. "No.."

"You.. You killed them." Ino said and her eyes dulled. "You killed.. everyone."

The blonde's breathing stopped and Sakura's eyes widened even more.

"Ino?" Her voice was barely audible. "Ino!"

The pinkette shakily stood up. She put her hands against the boulder that was on top of her best friend and pushed against it with all her might. Tears ran down her face as she let out a frustrated cry. The rock didn't budge and all she ended up doing was tiring herself out.

She fell to the floor her face not displaying any emotion. Tears were still pouring down her face as she stared lifelessly at the dead blonde.

Sakura's breath hitched as she felt a sharp pain in her abdomen. She looked down to see a sword coated in what looked like poison, sticking out of her stomach. Her mouth opened and closed silently. Her body wobbled, her back beginning to grow tired from her sitting up.

'Sa-'

She frowned.

'-aku-'

Was she imagining it or was she really hearing a voice? It sounded familiar but was too far away for her to hear it clearly.

She heard a cold, taunting laugh echo from behind her and felt her upper body slowly sink towards the ground as the sword twisted in her body.

'-akura!'

That voice again..

'Sakura!'

Sakura? Wasn't that her name? Why was the voice yelling her name?

'Sakura! It isn't real!' The voice sounded louder then before. 'Listen to me Sakura! None of this is real! You need to snap out of it!'

Her breathing slowed as she fell to the ground, a foot digging into her back.

'Please Outer! It's me Inner! You've got to snap out of it!'

"Inner.." The pinkette muttered a frown forming on her face. A laugh came from behind her and she blinked. The sword impaling her was slowly being pulled out and a low growl resonated from her throat. The movement of the sword being pulled out of her stopped as she slowly sat up, one hand holding the weapon in place as blood leaked from her mouth. She turned her head to pear over her shoulder a glare on her face. "Shut up!"

Sakura inhaled deeply before exhaling and opening her eyes. She sighed quietly in relief when instead of being greeted by her friends' dead bodies she was now back in the mysterious cave with the group of men, surrounded by skeletons and cobwebs.

She decided it would be best for her mental health if she exited the cave and as a result she walked outside, her legs shaking. She was shocked that her genjutsu hadn't released itself whilst she was in that state but she guessed that it might have had something to do with Inner.

A small smile formed on her face. "Thank you, Inner."

The smile disappeared when she received no response and Sakura tried to focus on clearing the previous.. dream from her mind.

She was snapped back to reality by yells and the kunoichi's eyes narrowed as she analysed what was going on. A tentacle type thing had grabbed the ankle of one of the shorties and the three other shorties with the big feet were desperately trying to free their friend. One of them shouted something back through where they had come out of the cave before yelling something else and swinging his sword at the tentacle. He managed to slice it and the dark haired shortie, who had been the one to get caught in the tentacle's grasp, shuffled back with the help of his friends. They were all panting heavily as they watched more tentacles appear from out of the water. They hit three of the shorties onto the ground and picked up the dark haired shortie again, carrying him into the air.

The shorties with the big feet yelled something, most likely their friend's name. An arrow was shot at the tentacle and Sakura traced it back to the blonde haired male with the pointy ears.

The shortie with the Ring yelled something and Sakura's gaze moved to where her guide and another man were fighting the other tentacles that had appeared out of the water.

The seventeen year old narrowed her eyes as she watched the blue eyed shortie be lifted higher up. Her muscles tensed as he was slowly lowered and the head of the creature appeared out of the lake. It opened its mouth and Sakura's lips parted as she realised what it was about to do.

The creature dropped the male and Sakura released her genjutsu. She got out one of her kunai with the Hiraishin seal wrapped around it and dropped it, the weapon lodging itself in the ground. Sakura then shunshined to stand next to the creature's head, atop the water. The kunoichi raced through hand signs at lightning speed, inhaling deeply.

Snake-Ram-Monkey-Boar-Horse-Tiger

As she exhaled a large fireball exited her mouth. It was aimed straight at the head of the creature who owned the tentacles and Sakura quickly leapt into the air to catch the blue eyed shortie. She caught the male in her arms and the pained scream of the creature rang below, signalling that her jutsu had hit its target.

Sakura landed on the water and looked up at the creature above, a frown on her face. It was screeching in pain as the fire engulfed it. Sakura then disappeared and reappeared where she had left her kunai, placing down the male in her arms before shunshining over to where her guide and the other man were.

The octopus-like creature had submerged its head underwater which meant that the fire from her jutsu had been extinguished. Its tentacles were attacking wildly though and Sakura narrowed her emerald orbs as one came towards her.

The seventeen year old pumped chakra into her fist. She waited until the flexible limb was within her reach before moving her arm back and punching the tentacle. The limb was pushed back and it fell uselessly into the lake. Sakura stiffened and turned to look over her shoulder. She jumped, narrowly avoiding the tentacle that had aimed to knock her off balance. She landed smoothly on top of the water and threw a kunai of which had the Hiraishin seal wrapped around it at the tentacle that had attacked her. It sunk into the limb and Sakura appeared where her kunai was, using chakra to stick herself to the tentacle. She pulled out the kunai and slid down the flexible limb, digging her kunai into the creature's flesh as she travelled down the tentacle.

It created a huge gash and Sakura leapt into the air, landing next to her guide.

~{*.*}~

The fellowship watched, enthralled as the creature was lit ablaze and Frodo was saved. The hooded figure whom had been the one to rescue the boy and had most likely been the one who had set fire to the creature as well, stood atop the water when they landed and when the group of males blinked, the hooded figure was gone.

They appeared again, out of nowhere, in front of Boromir and Aragorn. The group watched with wide eyes as they pulled back their fist and punched a tentacle. Said limb fell back into the body of water and the males watched, amazed as they dodged a tentacle and threw a weapon at the offending limb. The hooded figure then disappeared again and appeared on the tentacle. They grabbed their weapon from where it had been lodged in the flexible limb and slid down it, digging their weapon into the tentacle as they travelled down it.

The hooded figure jumped into the air, flipping to land next to Aragorn.

"Into the mines!" Gandalf shouted, being the first to jump back into action.

"Legolas!" Boromir called as he and Aragorn raced towards the entrance to the mines, tentacles chasing after them. "Into the cave!"

The blonde elf fired arrows at the tentacles, his aim precise.

"Run!"

They entered the mines, the cloaked figure following behind them. The creature chased after them, its head once again emerging from the lake as its tentacles snuck into the mines after them, causing rocks to fall. The ceiling of the entrance collapsed and the fellowship narrowly made it through. They panted heavily.

"We now have but one choice." Gandalf said, lighting up his staff to illuminate the dark. "We must face the long dark of Moria. Be on your guard. There are older and fouler things than Orcs in the deep places of the world."

The wizard began to lead them and Frodo frowned as he looked around, not finding the mysterious being who had rescued him.

A/N: Hey! I really hope this is ok? I wrote about... 4000 words today? That's just for this chapter as well..

Anyway! I may need to change the last part since I'm not too happy with it (I kinda feel as though I rushed it but please let me know what you guys think).

Sakura is now going to be revealing herself more! I know a lot of you were beginning to grow impatient but I really wanted to wait untill this point to have her start showing herself more!

So Sakura obviously has some PTSD, I just hope I did that part ok.. hehe.

I was going to write more but this chapter is around 6000 words long already and well, my brain is tired.

Please let me know what you guys think!

Sorry for any mistakes!

Hope you enjoyed!
