" 'Just another day' that's an expression that humans use whenever they go through their life throughout the day no matter how exciting or dull. I like to think us Asari think or maybe at least feel the same way...though I think the past 5 years have been more than just any ordinary day. Growing up all I ever wanted was to explore the ancient Prothean ruins finding their artifacts and discovering their secrets...guess that what happens when your mother was the Matriarch. Then one day my life changed forever...it was the day that I met the man that would become the love of my life...Commander Shepard...the first Human Specter. I was just exploring one of the ancient Prothean ruins until the Geth came for me and I didn't know why. I tried to use a barrier that the Protheans used to protect themselves but in turn I ended up activating an ancient Prothean security device trapping myself inside a barrier. That's when I met Shepard who had come to find me and saved me from my predicament...he told me about how a rogue Specter named Saren wanted to capture me and help him find this device called the Conduit and even found someway to convince my mother to help him. I travelled with Shepard to find Saren and stop him...and my mother who die in my arms when we did stop her. We succeeded and saved the Council and the Citadel from Saren, the Geth, and what we thought was a ship but an actual living machine named Sovereign...a Reaper who's kind wiped out the Protheans thousands of years ago. It was during that time that Shepard and I's relationship became something more and we eventually fell in love with each other...until the Collectors came. The Collectors destroyed the original Normandy with Shepard sacrificing himself to save the pilot and our friend Joker. For two years I mourned Shepard's death until a rogue agent of the Shadow Broker Feron informed that the Shadow Broker was going to give Shepard's body to the Collectors. We were able to stop them and in turn I gave his body to Cerberus who brought him back to stop the Collectors...or at least I thought they were. Before Shepard was sent on a Suicide Mission to the Collector's base, Shepard came to me to rekindle our relationship but I couldn't bear to mourn him again after already losing him beforehand and I had to find the Shadow Broker and stop him. Shepard did help me do so and I became the Shadow Broker feeding Shepard and the Alliance information. I tried to maintain that distance from Shepard but his persistence was able to rekindle our relationship. Us Asari sometimes make our dealings in such just a one time thing...but Shepard was different...he was a man that I loved more than anything in the world...someone I wanted to be with for however long he had...until it was taken from me again. Shepard succeeded in destroying the Collectors but the Reapers still came and began their conquest of all our worlds. All races banded together and the final battle came to his home planet of Earth with the intent on using the Crucible to destroy the Reapers once and for all. That never happened...instead Shepard chose to sacrifice himself once again only this time creating peace between us and the machines. It's been two years now and not a day goes by that I miss Shepard everyday of my life...but the day goes on right...'Just another day.' "

Liara finished writing in her book glaring at the pages she had written with many memories filling her mind. One at such that will always replay in her mind was the last time she saw her lover Commander Shepard on Earth before entering the Crucible. "No matter what happens...you mean everything to me Liara...you always will."

Shepard places the palm of his hand on Liara's face with tears streaming down her face touching his fingers. Liara places her hand on Shepard's and could only respond with, "Shepard I...I'am yours."

Tears were streaming down Liara's face from that memory until a voice spoke to her saying, "You okay Liara?"

Liara turned to see her friend Feron approaching her wiping away her tears before responding, "Yes I'm fine Feron...thank you."

Feron looked over to see the book she was writing, with a smile he asked her, "Have you finished writing your book?"

"No not yet, there is still much to write...anyways are we set to make our expedition inside the temple?" answered Liara and it turn made it into a question.

Feron nods his head answering, "Just waiting on you Liara."

Liara looked down on her book before picking it up and placing it inside her pack. Liara and Feron exit the tent to see her expedition crew of both human, Salarian, and Turian ready to make their trip inside this giant ancient temple believed to be Prothean. They began their travel towards the temple entering inside to see many ancient artifacts and writings. Little did they know they were being watched from the shadows for strange creatures with spears and swords were glaring them on.

The group finally stopped with Liara looking towards a wall filled with ancient writings. Liara then began to realize something...this temple wasn't prothean. She looked at Feron and said to him, "Feron...this temple wasn't built by the protheans."

"then what did?" asked Feron.

Before Liara could even think of an answer, she could only hear the sounds of screams of pain and agony. She turned to see her expedition team being slashed and torn to pieces right before her eyes. She was able to see these creatures clearly, they had heads like a hammerhead shark from Earth with slim muscle like bodies...but were clearly somewhat primitive as they seemed to rely on swords and spears as weapons...they were bloody and savage barbarians.

Liara used her biotics to knock some away while Feron was shooting at some but the numbers game were to much and were soon held against the wall by these creatures. Liara closed her eyes already accepting her fate and with hopes of meeting her lover...but nothing happened...why? Liara looked at each of these creatures covered in the mixed colored blood of her expedition team. Then to her surprise one of them spoke to her in a language that she couldn't understand, "Your lucky to be alive slave...the Conqueror wishes to speak with you."

The Citadel

A scarred Turian making his way through the citadel with great haste to the tower, where the Council meet to maintain their order with the other races. The Turian eventually makes it to the tower and with that heads up towards the Council chambers to discuss something with them of great importance. He finds his way to the chamber to see the council already in a meeting of sorts. The council consisted of a turian, Asari, Salarian, Human female, and a Krogan discussing about the idea of Krogan expansion.

"I Understand you wish to have more worlds Councilor Wrex, but we have to make sure we..." said the Salarian Councilor before the scarred Turian barged in on their meeting.

"Commander Garrus? What is the meaning of this?" demanded the Turian Councilor.

"I'm sorry to interrupt but we have a situation, Dr. Liara T'soni's expedition team...something has happened to them," answered the scarred Turian known as Garrus.

"Liara? What happened Garrus!?" asked Councilor Wrex with a tone of anger and worry.

"Unknown, I received a distress beacon from someone on her team. If they need help I request your permission to intercept Council," answered Garrus.

"You are a Specter now Garrus...you don't need the Council's permission to..." said the human councilor before being interrupted by the Turian Councilor who asked, "What planet is the beacon transmitting from?"

"The planet Leechan councilor," answered Garrus.

the Council looked at each other, except Wrex who could only look at his friend with a worried expression.

"I'm sorry Commander Garrus, but we don't grant you permission for this at least," answered the Asari Councilor.

Garrus and Wrex were shocked by this with Wrex demanding with anger, " Why the hell not!?"

"Please calm yourself Councilor...we wouldn't do this if it wasn't for good reasoning. this planet is outside our own space and for all we know Liara could have angered whatever owns that planet," answered the Salarian Councilor.

Garrus stepped forward this time I'm anger, "So what...I'm a Specter remember I can visit planets without your permission."

"Not at the risk of creating an unnecessary war Commander Garrus...I am sorry but you and your crew are not to intercept that transmission...disobey us and we will strip you of your status and lock you away," finished the Turian Councilor.

"This is an outrage...Liara is our friend and helped Shepard save the universe you can't just leave her there to die like a dog!" lashed out Wrex

Garrus looked at the Human Councilor who had a sorrow look up on her face as he pleaded to her, "Miranda...please."

"I'm sorry Garrus...there's nothing I can do."

Garrus could only look at the floor in anger and disappointment before clenching his fist and walking away with the council looking on. Garrus excited the chamber and entered the elevator before punching a hole through the elevator in pure anger.

"Careful there Garrus, don't want you to take yourself out of the game," jokes Wrex entering the elevator with him.

"I can't believe the council...why won't they help Liara!" lashed out Garrus.

Wrex understood why his longtime friend was upset and felt the same way as him and agreed by saying, "The Council has always been like this...they did it to Shepard plenty of times but it never stopped him...it shouldn't stop you."

"Your right Wrex, but the Council does have a point at least...if we're gonna help Liara we gotta do this with someone that isn't under the banner of the Council or the Alliance," said Garrus.

"Who did you have in mind?" asked Wrex curiously.

Earth

Inside a bar, was a Caucasian man with Black hair and a beard sitting at a bar having a drink. Suddenly, a group of thugs approached the man as the leader said to him, "Bobby Mitchell?"

The man, known as Bobby, turned towards the group and asked, "Who's asking?"

The leader glared at Bobby and said, "Your the one that got my brother arrested by the Alliance. I'm gonna make sure you pay for that scum."

Bobby finished his drink and stood from his seat before letting out a whistle. Suddenly other men began standing up as well. one was a big burly man with a mullet, another was a big and tall man rocking a mullet, then stood another man this time native american rocking a mullet as well and then a Mexican rocking a black Fedora. The final person, who began to stand up, was a short hair and bearded man as he commented with a face palm, "Not again."

There was a stand off as Bobby introduced his friends by saying, "Gentlemen meet my friends: AJ Cazana, "The Thrillbilly" Silas Mason, Devan Dixon, Gustavo, and Wayne Moxxi."

"You might have some friends but we outnumber you idiots and we're gonna take care of y'all once and for all," threatened the leader.

"We'll see about that bitch," said Silas with a smile.

the thugs charged at the group with a huge brawl ensuing. Bobby punched one thug in the face and knocked him out while kicking another in the gut. AJ grabbed two thugs by the throat and slammed them down the floor with a yell before Spine bustering one right through a pool table. Devan would throw MMA like punches at a few of the thugs before literally snapping each thugs limbs whether it was the arms or the legs. Gustavo would duck and dodge a lot of the thugs offense before knocking them out and then charging at one with a head scissors before landing on his feet and slamming the thug face first on the bar before Moxxi cracks the thug in the head with a beer bottle. A thug tries to swing on Moxxi only for him to slap the thug hard across the face rupturing his eardrum and dislocating his jaw. Silas would throw punches left and right and throwing thugs around before receiving a kick from a female thug knocking him against the wall. the lady plants her leg right next to him as he looks at the leg before having a knife to his throat speaking to him in German, "Hello there...Thrillbilly"

Silas glared at the woman saying to her, "I don't speak German."

Silas pushes the knife away from him and holds down the woman while clutching her leg. She looks at him and tries to seduce him by saying, "Take me on a ride...Thrillbilly."

The thug then tried to stab Silas with another knife but he proceeds to headbutt her before lifting her up in a Gorilla Press and throwing her against a whole shelf of drinks behind the bar

Bobby knocks down another thug before the leader tries to go for a sucker punch only to be knocked out from a right hand by none other than Garrus. Bobby turned to see Garrus with Garrus saying to him, "Hello Bob, It's been a while."

A few moments later...

Bobby and Garrus are sitting across from each other at a table having a drink with Bobby saying to him, "Why are you here Garrus? Figured you be out keeping the peace on some other planet."

"I've been trying but it's never easy. No, I came to you to talk to you about something," answered Garrus.

"If it's about you trying to convince me and the boys to join the Alliance then answer still stands...No," answered Bobby and he took a swig of his drink.

Garrus couldn't help but stare at Bobby in disappointment and with good reason as he says, "I can't see why you don't...your a good man and so are the rest of your gang. Your brother joined the Alliance and looked how he turned out."

"Yeah dead right!? For years Shepard gave his life to the Alliance and warned your precious council about the Reapers and they didn't listen and it got him what...killed...not once but now twice!" argued Bobby

"That might be but he died a hero saving our universe and creating peace," argued Garrus back.

"You don't think I know that! My brother is a Goddamn hero...but I'm not! I loved my brother...but your council and the Alliance got him killed...I won't do the same to my brothers here," said Bobby as he began to walk away.

Garrus then stood up as he stopped Bobby by saying, "Wait...that's not what I really came to talk to you about...I...I need your help."

Bobby turned towards Garrus asking him, "Why? Can't you get the council or the Alliance to help you since your Specter now?"

Garrus looked down in sadness before answering, "No...the council won't help me with this...this is more of a personal deal...off the books."

Bobby then made his way back to the table and sat back down before asking Garrus, "Alright then...what do you need?"

"I need you and the boys to rescue a friend of mine...Dr. Liara T'soni," answered Garrus.

"Liara?" asked Bobby in shock

"Yeah...I know your not Alliance you made that clear...but all I'm asking as a favor from a friend of the family is..." answered Garrus before being interrupted by Bobby who said, "Done."

Garrus stared at Bobby in shock and asked, "That quick huh? Why is that?"

Bobby finished his drink before staring back at Garrus answering to him, "Let's just say...I have a promise I intend to keep."
