Kailua swam ahead, signalling for the huge tulkun to bare left, away from the monstrous ship that held unspeakable evils. Warn the others! Tell them to stay far away! She signed. Payakan rumbled deeply as he left. The water was still for a small moment. Kailua turned, counting heads. She was most worried about little Tuk; the poor girl was smaller than her company. Her breath holding was good, but nowhere near as good as the older kids. Reya, we need to get to an air bell. Tuk won't last forever. She signed. Tsireya glanced around, pouting. You're right. I don't know where any are though. Or how far away they are. Kailua glanced to the surface, watching as the water rippled as if it had been disturbed. Well, we need to find them quickly. I don't think the demons are far behind. She extended an arm over her head, waving at the others to hurry and follow her. There's usually some just outside the Tixna strands.

She was right. The demons were less than a minute behind. Tsireya and Ao'nung's Ilu's had stayed nearby and came to the rescue, bringing more Ilu's with them. Kailua sat atop her Ilu, diving and ducking in and out of Tixna strands, desperately trying to avoid the demonic technology.

Why were they here!? Why did they want them?! Why did the great mother allow the Sullys to bring their war here?! Too engrossed in her thoughts, she failed to notice the leaf heading straight for her Ilu. Aang chirped loudly, diving to the left to avoid a metallic... thing... but smacked into the leaf. Kailua squeaked as her queue jerked apart from Aang's. She flapped her arms to keep afloat, turning over to face the right way up. With a loud shout, she used the water to throw herself downwards to avoid another metallic creature. It continued off; its focus elsewhere. Kailua's heart fell into her stomach. "Reya!" She screamed. It would appear Tsireya fell into the same trap as she did; getting bested by a leaf. Knowing she was too far away to help, Kailua tried to flag down another person.

She swam frantically to her sister, desperately trying to get somebody's attention to help. Just as a metallic suit was going to grab her, an Ilu swam over the top, and an arm hauled Tsireya to safety. Had the situation not been so dire, seeing Lo'ak hold Tsireya like he used to her would have made Kailua furiously upset.

She shook her head and kicked for an airbell. Not that she needed it, but someone was bound to go there eventually. And the airbells were the best place to hide and stay safe while you regroup.

Sure enough, a few moments later, little Tuk came spluttering up. "Hey, you're ok!" Kailua immediately began to comfort the frantic little girl. Tuk whipped around, whimpering when it was only her. "We're ok in here. We're safe. Catch your breath," Kailua put her hand atop her head fondly. "Just breathe," A few moments after that, Lo'ak and Tsireya took refuge in the airbell. Tuk immediately turned to her older brother for comfort, while Tsireya turned to Kailua.

She wracked her brain for a way out. The only real possibility was to hope the demons got bored of chasing them and left... but she knew that was a severely unlikely option, and the only real one was to fight their way out.

Which she could do, easily. Non-water breathers? Not a chance. She sighed angrily. With a slightly calmer expression, she turned to the others. "Listen. We're gonna have to fight our way out. Ok? That's the only way we're gonna leave safe and sound." Tuk whimpered into Lo'ak's shoulder. Tsireya bit her lip, glancing through the skin of the airbell, watching the lights of the metallic things moving around. "Can't you swim back for help? You don't need air," Lo'ak asked. Kailua resisted the eye roll. "Sure, if you can hang on for four hours. I haven't got my Ilu, it'll take ages to get back to the clan. And to get them back here." She said. "Plus, the air will run out by then. And you'd need to find another airbell before they came back,"

Kailua sank to the bottom of the airbell, grabbing onto the edge to peer around. Most of the metallic creatures were a fair distance away now. If not to safety, then they could easily move to another airbell, further out. They'd just have to keep airbell hopping until they were far enough out to escape. She swam back up and voiced her thoughts. "If it's the only way out... then let's do it,"

They ducked under and began swimming quickly to the next airbell... which Kailua managed to grab. There was a muffled shout from behind and the telltale whirring mechanical sounds. She turned with a gasp and swam back, unsheathing her knife. She clung to the net holding her sister and Tuk and began slicing frantically. As they rose out of the water, Kailua clambered further up the net to slice near the top. Just as the rope snapped free, the net was dropped harshly on a metal surface.

Kailua lept up and brandished her knife, hissing angrily. Her tail whipped back and forth behind as she glared daggers into the eyes of an evil man. This one she didn't recognise; which meant he didn't know about her abilities... unless he'd been told. He took a step closer, his arms high in surrender as she continued to swipe at the air in front. There was some scuffling from behind, but the pained cry of her sister drew her full attention. "Reya!" She lept at the blue woman holding her sister's wrists, slashing at them. "Shit, Z-dog!" This "Z-dog" yelled in pain, throwing her arm back. Kailua fell to the ground with a grunt as her head smacked against the metallic ground.

Her vision went blurry as her ears rang loudly. Somebody was shouting her name, but everything was in the same tone. Several hands grasped her arms and body, hauling her up like a limp ilu. The world morphed into a splash of blue and white as she was thrown into a railing, her arms tied around tightly. "And the local wizard has returned! Make sure she stays cuffed and watched," The guy, Quaritch, said. Kailua's vision blackened out as the cuff was tightened again.
