"Well I have to say that was interesting." said Trevin, as the teens came back inside the house.

"I told you guys. Oujia boards are fun." Bliss told.

"So what did it all mean again?" Conner asked.

"The readings said that there are spirits in this town, and that they could be anywhere." explained Bliss.

After a little bit, Ruby's friends went home, and she went to go check on Sam. She knocked on his door, and then opened it.

"Sam, are you okay in here?" she asked.

She found Sam looking through his books.

"Everything fine here?"

"Yeah, it's okay." Sam replied.

"Good."

Then Ruby left.

That evening, Ruby pulled out some leftover pesto pasta for dinner.

"So Ruby...are your friends going to come over tomorrow?" Sam wondered.

"Yes, they are." Ruby replied.

"Okay."

And to Ruby's surprise, Sam was quiet for the rest of the evening. He barely spoke to her, and just stayed in his room.

"What's up with him?" Ruby thought.

The following morning, Sam got up before Ruby and quickly grabbed some pop tarts and bottles of juice for Connie. Then he quickly scurried back to his room, and put them in the duffel bag. After eating their own breakfast, Ruby's friends came back over.

They went right to work doing their teenage thing, Sam snuck out to see Connie.

"You know Bliss and Margot why don't you girls stay the night?" Ruby suggested.

"That sounds like a great idea." Margot said.

"I'm in." Bliss replied.

"Hey, what about us?" Trevin wanted to know.

"Yeah, aren't we invited?" Conner added.

"(Giggles), as much as I'd like to have you boys here there's no way I can have boys sleep over." explained Ruby.

She also added,

"Plus there's no room for both of you to sleep comfortably."

Trevin and Conner could understand that.

"Plus you wouldn't want Sam to blab to your parents about that." Bliss told.

At the house, Sam was hanging out with Connie.

"Gee, I never know land offered so many different foods." said Connie, as she drank some juice.

"Stick with me, Connie. You'll taste all sorts of great stuff." Sam replied.

"Thanks again for helping me Sam."

"No problem. I have to get back now, but I'll bring you a great dinner tonight."

"Okay, I'll be waiting."

And with that, Sam quickly went home.

When he slipped back inside, he ran into Ruby's friends.

"Sam, where were you?" Ruby wanted to know.

"Oh, I was just playing outside." he told her, and he quickly went inside, and started for the stairs.

"Oh, Sam, Margot and Bliss are gonna be sleeping over tonight, so..."

"I know I know, I'll leave you alone."

And he hurried upstairs. Ruby was surprised to hear Sam talk like that, and the others were surprised too.

That night, Ruby ordered pizza for everyone, and while waiting for it, the girls were in Ruby's room.

"Okay, I can't remember the last time we had a slumber party." said Ruby.

"It's really pleasant. Too bad we already used my oujia board, we not supposed to use it more than once in the same place." Bliss mentioned.

"It's okay, Bliss. We'll live." assured Margot.

"I'll just grab some extra pillows and blankets."

Ruby went to the closet, but to her surprise there weren't any.

"Huh?" she replied.

Before she could think about this further, the doorbell rang.

"Hey girls, the pizza's here." she announced.

When Sam heard that, he quickly went downstairs, he had to get some of those pieces. Ruby took the pizza from the delivery guy, and gave him the money.

"Ruby, what pizzas did you order?"

"We got cheese and pepperoni."

After putting the boxes down on the table, Ruby went to get her friends. Taking the opportunity, Sam quickly grabbed some slices of pizza put them in a bag, and hurried out the back door.

When the girls came back downstairs, they opened the boxes and saw that some of the slices were gone.

"What the?" asked Margot.

"Looks like Sam got to it first. Geez, I know he likes pizza but how could he take four slices all at once?" Ruby complained.

"Very mysterious." replied Bliss.

After getting their slices, they went back up to Ruby's room.

"You know, girls. Things been acting really strange lately."

"What do you mean?" asked Margot.

Ruby explained about how Sam was unusually quiet, and how some things kept disappearing.

"Even my extra pajamas have disappeared."

"Sounds like the spirits we contacted the other day are making their appearance known." Bliss replied.

"That's crazy, there are no such things as spirits." Ruby told her.

But in the back of her mind, she was wondering what was going on.

In the other house, Sam and Connie were eating the pizza.

"This is amazing." Connie told Sam.

"I told you you'd like pizza." Sam replied.

"Wish I could have it more often." Sam then noticed Connie seemed a little sad.

"What's wrong, Connie?"

"I was just thinking about my family, and my home in the ocean."

"Don't worry, Connie. We'll find a way to get you back home."
