"You know you don't have to change things about yourself just to get a guy to like you, especially if they do act like jerks. You'll find a nice guy."

"Yeah, but even when they seem like nice guys, it still doesn't go well. One guy likes a girl that looked prettier than me. Another guy liked a girl because she's different from other girls. Take a look at my hair. Do you see anyone else with this hair color? Even one liked another girl because she was wealthier."

"Maybe they did, but that doesn't mean anything."

"What if I'm just not the kind of girl guys want?"

"Don't say such things, Kori." Ichigo used Kori's powers once again. In doing so, he saw another moment from Kori's past and it was one of her and Ashi talking together. Ichigo saw more of what Kori was like and he didn't like what he saw.

"This isn't good, guys." Ichigo said as he was in the clubroom and discussing the situation with the others.

"I'll say! You pimped me out!" Rukia said as she was angry.

"What?! No I didn't!" Ichigo denied. "Rukia, we've got to do this. Renji said he'll do anything we say if you just go on a date with him. We need you to do this. If you do, Renji can let Kori down gently. If she find out Renji likes Rukia, it's going to kill her that she's lost her guy to someone like her."

"What's that suppose to mean?!" Rukia called.

"Isn't it obvious? Kori's more attractive than you." Grimmjow mocked with a laugh, but that ended up with Rukia hitting both him and Ichigo right in the head in anger.

"Why'd you hit me? I didn't say it." Ichigo complained. "I meant more like that you come from a wealthy family. Bottom line is that Kori cares too much about what guy thinks of her when she shouldn't. I saw her complain to Ashi about how she kept losing guys to girls that had something over her. If she likes Renji so much, this could crush her. That's why we need Renji to be gentle about this."

"But he'll only do that if he goes on a date with Rukia." Uryu said. "Trying to be sensitive of Kori's feelings and letting her down easily might be the only way everyone gets what they want out of this."

"Whatever we do, we better do it soon." Orihime said. "I found out that Kori is planning to tell Renji how she feels tomorrow."

"Luckily, Renji says the date is today." Ichigo said, but Rukia feels unsettled about this.

"What about Ashi? Has she had any visions where the future is different?" Rukia questioned.

"No, she hasn't." Chad said.

"There's still too many ways this could go wrong, too many uncertainties, but we're running out of options." Uryu said. "You've got to do this, Rukia." Everyone is saying she should, but she still doesn't feel easy about this.

"Renji should be here any moment now. I told him to meet you at the clubroom. Better get ready for your date." Ichigo said.

"And what if Kori finds out what we did? She might know something's off when she realized she can't see your past after kissing you." Rukia said.

"I don't think Kori is aware of what our true intentions were." Uryu said. "If she was, she would have came and confront Ichigo the moment she realized her powers didn't work with him. Rukia, I'm sorry you don't like this, but what other choices do we have?"

"There is one other option." Rukia said as she had her own idea. As for Renji, he was on his way to the clubroom and seemed rather excited about his date with Rukia. Once he reached the room, he took a deep breath and readied himself. Just as he reached for the door, he saw Rukia opened the door before he could.

"Renji!" Rukia said as she seemed happy to see him.

"Rukia! It's good to see you. Did... Did Ichigo talk to you?" Renji said.

"Yeah. He told me you wanted to go on a date with me. I'm quite...flattered." Rukia claimed. "Well, I'm ready to go. Are you?"

"Yeah." Renji said.

"Have fun, Rukia. You two enjoy yourselves." Ichigo said.

"Ichigo, thanks again for this. Whatever it is you need me to do, I'll do it." Renji said as the two of them were on their way, but everyone else seemed rather nervous and anxious about this. "I know this is sudden. I know we haven't spoken to each other lately, but this gives us the chance to do just that."

"Yeah... Great..." Rukia said, but there was something else going behind the scenes. 'Damn, Rukia! What were you thinking having us switch bodies?! This could ruin everything! What the hell were you thinking?!' It turned out that it was actually Ichigo in Rukia's body once Rukia got him to do just that. If Ichigo is in Rukia's body, there are many ways that this could go terribly wrong.

Ashi

Once school was over, the girls met with Ashi and told her everything that was going on.

"I see... So the reason Renji rejects Kori's confession is because he likes Rukia." Ashi said. "I knew there had to be something, and Ichigo was right. If Kori finds out about that, it could end up crushing her. It could actually break her spirit."

"It would be that bad?" Orihime questioned.

"It sure would. Kori's had terrible luck with guys before." Ashi said. "I don't even want to think what this could do to her. What I don't get it is you, Rukia." She said as they all turned to Rukia in Ichigo's body. "Why did you switch bodies with Ichigo?"

"Yeah. You practically wrestled me and Ichigo to switch bodies." Orihime said. "If Renji finds out the truth, he isn't going to like it."

"She's got a good point, Rukia. Renji thinks he's on a date with the real you." Nel said. "What if he actually tries to go for a kiss? The two could switch bodies and we're all in trouble. This could ruin everything."

"I have my reasons." Rukia said. "If you want to know what's going to happen so badly, just go and kiss someone, Ashi. Maybe the future has changed by doing this."

"It doesn't work that way. I can't control what visions I have." Ashi said. "Besides, I can't do that now. Orihime and Nel are witches and you are currently under the effect of Orihime's power. My power won't work on anyone here. If you ask me, you're grasping at straws because you got scared of the date."

"Shut up!" Rukia shouted.

The Date

Since Ichigo was in Rukia's body, he was the one that was on a date with Renji. He hated it, but he couldn't let Renji know what was really going on. All Ichigo can do now is try to pretend to be Rukia and get through this date. It started out with them have dinner at a casual restaurant.

"You okay, Rukia? You haven't eaten that much." Renji said.

"Oh! I'm sorry, I guess I'm just feeling a little nervous being around you." Ichigo said, but felt like he was torturing himself. 'Rukia owes me big time for this.'

"Yeah... It has been a long time since we talked or hung out." Renji said. "Sorry, but I suppose this restaurant isn't what you're used to. It's not all that fancy, but it was the best I could do."

"Huh? What are you talking about? Why would I care if it's fancy?" Ichigo questioned as he kept the act going. It sounded like this was a good idea to get info on Renji and Rukia's relationship.

"Because of your family." Renji said. "You probably go to a bunch of fancy places with great food and everything."

"Oh! That! Uh... Maybe, but it is nice to act like a normal person." Ichigo said as he had no idea how Rukia's normal life is like, but there was one thing he did know about her. "Renji, the reason I chose to join the Supernatural Club was for that reason. My family doesn't exactly like that interest of mine, but I found people who do and they don't care that I'm wealthy. They didn't even ask for my help when we tried to get a budget."

"That sounds great, Rukia. It's great that you found normal people that like the same things as you." Renji said.

"I do have to ask, why did you want to go out with me? We've known each other for years, and then we just grew apart. What gives, Renji?" Ichigo questioned.

"Let's hold off that question for later. There's one place I want us to be at." Renji said, but Ichigo was a little nervous on what that place might be. Once they finished eating, Renji took "Rukia" somewhere else. Ichigo had a bad feeling it was the spot he was talking about earlier. "Here we are." He said and it was just what Ichigo thought. The lights, the mood, the scenery with the couples, and the large fountain in the center. Everything looked romantic, and that's the problem.

'Oh! Damn! This looks like some sort of make-out spot!' Ichigo thought as he didn't like where this was going. He needed a way out, but how?

"You asked why I wanted to go out with you... You wanted to know why we grew apart..." Renji said. "It's got a bit to do with that wealthy background of yours."

"Say what?" Ichigo said.

"Rukia, I owe a lot to you. You changed my life." Renji said as he thought back to his life before and how different it seems to be today. "Before I met you, I was living on the streets. I stole just so I can survive, but that all changed when I met you. Not only did you help me that one time, but you changed my life for the better. You found me some odd jobs, I was able to make some money, stay in school, and managed to have my own small place."

'If I wasn't too worried on what he's planning to do, I would feel sorry for him.' Ichigo thought.

"I didn't want you to feel like you owed me, but I couldn't help that I soon began to fall for you." Renji admitted and Ichigo was feeling even guiltier. He's trying to confess how he feels, but it's all to the wrong person. "I guess I thought I wasn't worthy of you because you're like a noble and I'm just some petty commoner."

"Who even says that sort of stuff?" Ichigo said.

"I'm trying to sound serene and deep." Renji said. "Even so, I never really stopped thinking about you. I guess we grew apart because I felt you deserved better than me, but I still can't stop how I felt." He said as he placed his hands on Rukia's shoulders and Ichigo was worried on what he was about to do. "Just let me have this..."

"Wait! Renji!" Ichigo said as he tried to stop him, but it was too late and Renji thought he actually kissed Rukia. He was in for a surprise. Before they knew it, the two of them switched bodies. Ichigo noticed he was in Renji's now and this was all kinds of bad.

"Rukia, I..." He was about to say more until he realized he was looking at himself. Renji took a closer look at himself and saw he was now in Rukia's body. "What the hell?! What just happened?!" Ichigo didn't know what he was going to do now. "What the hell is this?! Rukia, answer me!" He was starting to make a scene with people noticing. Ichigo covered up Rukia's mouth and tried to keep Renji quiet.

"Nothing to see here! She... She's not taking some news well!" Ichigo called and tried to get Renji out of there. They're in real trouble now.

...

The School

Ichigo gave the others a call that night and told them of their situation. They all managed to get back in the school and regrouped at the clubroom. When they all got there, Renji was still inside Rukia's body, but was now bound and gagged.

"Why didn't you switch back before tying him up?" Uryu questioned.

"There wasn't any time, and he wouldn't settle down." Ichigo said.

"We are in so much trouble." Rukia said. "Plus, keep in mind that it's still my body even if Renji is in it!"

"Shut up, Rukia! You were the one who threw a wrench in everything! This is your fault because you switched bodies with me in the first place! What the hell were you thinking?!" Ichigo called with Renji shocked as he realized who he was really with. "What are we going to do now? Renji knows our secret, and this could ruin everything!"

"Not to mention we're going to be in so much trouble for this." Chad said.

"That's the least of our worries. What are we going to do about Ashi and Kori?" Ichigo questioned. "There's no way Renji is going to help us now."

"Maybe if we explain ourselves to him, he'll understand why we did what we did." Orihime suggested.

"But we had a deal and we didn't keep our end of it. What reason would he have to help us now?" Ichigo said. "I hate to say it, but it looks like it's over." Everything seems ruined now. Renji won't turn Kori down gently, Ashi and Kori might not be friends again, and poor Kori is still going to get her heart broken. They've tried everything and maybe there's no way to change this future. Maybe it's a future that just can't be changed. Thinking like that now, all of them were starting to lose hope and feel like they've failed.

"At least we gave it our best shot." Rukia said.

"Shut up, Rukia! Everything would have been fine if it weren't for you!" Ichigo said. Normally, she would argue. She was now feeling even guiltier.

"You might as well switch back your own bodies." Chad said.

"Although, we might want to tie Renji's body so he doesn't try anything." Orihime said. Everything seemed hopeless, but Uryu came up with an idea at the last minute.

"Wait! Now that Ichigo is in Renji's body, we might be able to use this to our advantage!" Uryu said. There might still be a chance that they can change the future and save Ashi's and Kori's past.
