"Mamma Manoso I know you are upset with Carlos, but I need you to help out with the issue at hand. I do not want his life ruined over what happened between us. I feel so happy with Steve and he treats me like a queen so it was for the best in the end." Stephanie pleaded.
"I didn't raise my son to behave that way with women Stephanie I just.."
Stephanie interrupted. "I know that mamma, but he needs his family right now he has realized his mistakes. I can't feel responsible for his losing everything after how much he helped me in the past."
"Alright I will sit the family down for a talk and call Julie, but I am doing this for you Stephanie."
"Thank you mamma, I love you. You should bring the family to visit the tower. I know the kids would love meeting my friends and Steve." Stephanie made kissing sounds into the phone ending the call before sitting down at her computer to type up an email to send out to the company wide Rangeman email.
"I don't understand why you are doing this. That man deserves every bit of what is happening to him. One word and you would never have to hear his name again." Clint growled.
"I know that what he did is wrong, and yes he hurt me but he also was the only one to support me for years. He saved my life, gave me money, protection, cars more than I could ever repay. It may be small but I feel like in some small way I can repay him this way. Once I finish this it will be my final goodbye." Stephanie answered.
"Stephanie takes everything on herself if he were to go under she would blame herself in the end. It's better to let her do this and put an end to that chapter in her life." Pepper walked up wrapping her arms around Stephanie where she sat.
"As long as he doesn't show up here again. He wouldn't make it out of the building alive this time." Nat sat sharpening a knife.
Stephanie danced excitedly about the new contract. "Steve, you won't believe it! We got the military contract, FBI, and CIA contracts! My little company has done better than I ever dreamed it would. You and Tony made this happen. Thank you, thank you thank you!"
"As much as I love getting credited, that's just not true. We may have been your first contract Steph, but that is because I wanted to jump on board as soon as I found out. This is all you." Tony said
"It certainly didn't hurt that my first contract was the Avengers!" Stephanie laughed. "I need to get the guys together. We have a high priority case to work on. I will see you guys later."
"What's the case Beautiful?"
"We have a serial killers to hunt. The FBI reached out and several have escaped and they do not have the manpower to do the investigation and the arrests. We will be handling the information gathering to hunt them down so that the FBI can send task forces to do the arrests." Stephanie answered.
"This will be fun, it was starting to get boring around here." Tank grumbled.
"We are only to locate them and leave the arrests to the FBI. There will be no throwing criminals out the window Tank." Stephanie laughed.
"There was a balcony!"
"And no one was more surprised by that than you! Don't even try to play that off I know you too well Tank!" Stephanie teased. "I am planning to fly out and start talking to the families and get into gossip chains for a start. Someone has seen them and will be talking."
"That sounds like a good plan, just take backup when you are out, and call us if you need reinforcements." Steve said proud of her.
"It killed you to say that and let her go." Nat teased after Stephanie headed out to continue planning with her team.
