Liara was sitting in her seat with many thoughts racing through her mind. Every single thing from this whole deal with Kang and the Rakatans and now finding out her rescuers were brothers with the man she was in love with...Shepard. Liara then noticed Bobby looking at her in concern as he asked her, "Are you okay Liara?"
"Yes, there's just so much that has happened it's been hard to process," answered Liara.
Bobby sits next to Liara understanding the situation she is going through right now and says to her, "I feel ya on that, after what's happened I'm sure it's a lot to take in."
"I didn't know Shepard had any siblings, I knew he was an orphan living in the streets back on Earth but he never told me about you guys," said Liara.
"Well technically we're not brothers by blood...we were all orphans and grew up together. We stayed together until Shepard decided to enlist in the Alliance," said Bobby.
Liara looked at Bobby with a look of curiosity asking him, "Why didn't you enlist with him?"
"Well we're not exactly fit for the Alliance types..." answered Bobby as he looked over at his crew.
Liara looked over as well to see Silas with a Turian ale in his hand and took a sip of it. As soon as he was done he looked at it and froze in place huffing as if he was being poisoned. Devan then comes over and hands him a can of miller high life as Silas unfreezes himself to see the beer in his hand. Silas wiped his hand across his forehead as he says, "wheew that was a close one...actually that tasted pretty good. If that's what that Turian life be like maybe I want me some."
"I can see that...still you and your crew seem to be a very capable sort. The Alliance could have used you," said Liara.
"Maybe, but that's just not what we wanted. Shepard was always the one trying to be a hero. That's why he enlisted in the Alliance," said Bobby.
Liara was about to say something else until a voice said to them, "He wasn't trying...he was a hero."
Everyone turned to see a black hooded figure reveal himself from his stealth cloak. This surprised everyone with AJ yelling out, "Goddamn pal! Who the hell are you!?"
The hooded figure removed his hood to reveal a blue reptilian like humanoid with yellow glowing eyes but no pupils.
"My name is Dak and I have come from another universe," answered the humanoid niw known as Dak.
Liara stared at Dak in amazement and knew who he was from some of the carvings on the wall and said to Dak, "Your a Qwa."
"A what?" asked Wayne.
"A Qwa, a race from.another universe like the Rakatans. That temple was built by your people but...what brought you to our universe?" answered and asked Liara.
"You will have all your answers and more Dr. T'soni...but I believe we are about to meet your friends," answerd Dak.
"Were approaching the Normandy guys," said Rabbit on the intercom.
Their Red Kodiak shuttle is approaching the Normandy entering inside its hanger bay. The crew exits the ship to see none other than Garrus along with Wrex, Javik, and Tali with Tali yelling out, "Liara your okay!"
Tali and Liara hugged each ither before Wrex lets out his usual belly laugh before saying, "Haha how about a hug for Uncle Urdnot Liara?"
Liara gave wrex a smile before giving him a hug with Wrex picking her up laughing while he does it. Wrex puts down Liara as she notices Javik the Prothean giving Liara the first thing she ever experienced from him...a smile.
"Good to see you still alive Liara T'soni," said Javik
Liara simply nodded at her peothean friend before going over to Garrus and without hesitation gives him a hug with Garrus saying, "Glad your okay Liara."
Liara broke away from the hug with Garrus looking at Bobby and his crew saying to them, "Thank you guys for what you did...I won't forget this."
"Dont worry about it Garrus, just keeping a promise to an old friend of yours," said Bobby.
"So what happened Liara and wheres Feron?" asked Tali.
Liara could only look down at the floor in sadness before answering, "Feron is dead," answered Liara.
Garrus can see the pain and sadness on Liara's face and decides to out a hand on her shoulder before saying to her, "I'm sorry Liara."
"Well who's skull do we have to crack to get some payback?" asked Wrex angrily.
"My expedition team was slaughtered by this species called the Rakatan. They come from another universe to try and conquer ours. Their being helped by a human from a different kind of universe called Kang," answered Liara.
"Kang? Rakatan? This is all getting weird and fast," said Gustavo.
"To think we've encountered stranger things than this," commented Devan.
"So what was the temple you were exploring that was preventing the council from sending us to rescue you?" asked Tali.
"It was one of ours," answered a voice coming from the shuttle.
Everyone looks over to see Dak exiting the shuttle. Garrus, Wrex, and Tali stared at this new humanoid species with Curiosity and suspicion except Javik who had a look of shock as he said, "A Qwa."
Dak noticed Javik and gives the same look he gave him as he said in turn, "A Prothean."
The two simply stared at each other with their shocked looks as AJ comments, "Awkward."
"Javik you know about Dak and his kind?" asked Liara.
Javik didn't answer at first as he approaches Dak before stopping and with a slight turn answers, "I havent had any experiences personally...but our ancestors have met and fought alongside with them centuries ago."
Dak gave a slight smile before saying, "Indeed...it was your kind that we helped uplift and fought alongside against the Rakatans when they came to this universe."
"Hold on...back up. Are you saying that you technically created the Protheans?" asked Bobby.
"No...we simply freed them from enslavement of the Leviathans by uplifting them. We taught them everything we knew and more. Thats how they became the dominate species...before the Leviathans created the Reapers out of desperation," answered Dak.
"So wait a second...you mean the Rakatans were already here beforehand?" asked Garrus.
"Yes...like what we did with the protheans on this universe, we did the same thing to the Rakatans on another universe. We used our force abilities to uplift them after sensing their potential," answerd Dak.
"What is the force?" asked Liara curiously.
"It is living energy that surrounds us all...it is what makes us connected. With it you can use it however you please," andwered Dak.
"That is how we Protheans learned how to use biotics...and in turn..." added Javik before being interrupted by Liara as she says, "Gave us that ability as well."
Dak and Javik both nodded their heads as Dak continues, "So when the Rakatans turned on us they created what they now are known as the Infinite Empire. They have and are still coquering their entire universe. What was left of us came here to this universe to start anew so we uplifted the Protheans. The Rakatans followed us and with the combine might of us and the Protheans we drove them back...but at a heavy cost. My peoole were slaughtered and now here I stand as the last of the Qwa."
"That is something we have in coming..." said Javik before getting interrupted again when Dak says to him, "Dak."
Dak offers his hand as Javik shakes it and says back to him, "Javik."
"This is touching at all but now we know what going on...what are we going to do about it?" asked Wrex
"We need to return to the citadel and warn the council. If this Infinite Empire is as powerful as you say, then we need to warn them about it," answered Garrus.
"I agree, with Dak here we can also have proof about their presence so that want make the same mistake they did with Shepard," agreed Tali.
Garrus put his hand on his ear contacting the pilot of the Normandy, "Joker plot a course to the citadel."
"You got it Commander."
The Citadel
After the Normandy arrives and docks at the Citadel, Liara, Garrus, and Wrex arrive at the council chamber to inform the council on what just transpired.
As Wrex takes his place among the council, the Turian Councilor says to them, "Commander Garrus you were ordered to not go to the Leechan system."
"I obeyed that order councilor so instead I decided to take it up on myself to hire some help to do so," responded Garrus.
"So it is true...you were going to leave me in that planet," commented Liara with a tone of anger.
"Believe us Dr. T'soni we didn't want to...but you were on a planet that is beyond our jurisdiction," said the Asari Councilor.
"Because of the Rakatans?" asked Liara.
The Turian, Salarian, and Asari councilor gave a look of shock to Liara with Miranda Lawson, the human councilor, looking on confused. Wrex noticed his fellow councilors and said, "Oh yeah we know all about those pyjacks."
"We're there any there?" asked the Salarian councilor with a tone of fear.
"Wait...what are the Rakatans?" asked Miranda.
"A species from another universe...now they've come to our universe to conqueror it like they did theirs," answered Liara.
"So it is true they still roam that planet," commented the Turian Councilor.
"So you knew about them being there and never bothered trying to stop them?" asked Wrex agitated.
"Calm yourself Councilor Wrex, we knew of the history of this Infinite Empire and how the Protheans stopped them...but we wasn't sure there were still any left in the planet," answered the Asari Councilor.
"Someone must have let them come here," said the Salarian Councilor.
Liara nodded her head and said, "Yes...a human by the name of Kang."
"Who is this Kang?" asked the Turian Councilor.
"A man from a much different universe than ours...he agreed to let the Infinite Empire 'expand' their Empire I'm exchange for finding an ancient Qwa device," answered Liara.
"What is this said device Liara?" asked Miranda.
"We called it the Shooting Star..." answered a voice.
Stepping inbetween Liara and Garrus was Dak with the Council giving him a look of surprise. The Asari councilor was so amazed all she could say was, "A Qwa."
"Yes, my name is Dak and I have come to warn you of the invasion that is to come of your universe," said Dak.
"So what Dr. T'soni claims is true...the Infinite Empire really is here and this Kang is leading them," commented the Salarian councilor.
"What does this Shooting star do?" asked Miranda curiously.
"It grants the person wielding it wishes beyond their wildest dreams. They can have whatever they want with it. The Rakatans sought out this device for their own purposes which is why we hid it in one of our own sacred temples. Thankfully Dr. T'soni was able to get to it first before the Rakatans were able to have it," answered Dak.
"Then that device needs to remain here at the citadel under our protection. If the Infinite Empire has returned and they plan on invading we need to be prepared," said the Turian Councilor.
A Hispanic man in a N7 armor is running down towards the council chambers as he yells out, "Sorry to interrupt this meeting but Tuchanka is being under attacked!"
Wrex gave a look of a shock as he yelled out, "What!?"
"Who is attacking Commander Vega?" asked Miranda.
"Don't know...their these weird hammerhead looking creatures and their swarming everywhere according to Urdnot Grunt," answered James.
Wrex begins to storm out of his position as he yells out, "Then we need to hurry...those are my people that are being invaded!"
"Will we be getting more council support for this?" asked Garrus.
The Turian Councilor nodded to Garrus as he answered, "I'll contact Primarch Victus and have him send over a fleet and battalion to Tuchanka immediately...the Krogans aided our people during the Reaper Wars and we have not forgotten."
Wrex gave a nod to the councilor before looking at his two closest friends and Dak before saying to them, "Come on we need to hurry."
As the four left the chamber, there awaited Jak, Tali, and Bobby as Tali says, "I heard about Tuchanka Wrex...I've already contacted the other admirals and they'll be sending a fleet of Quarian and Geth ships to assist as well...but it'll take a while."
"I appreciate that Tali...we need all the help we can get," said Wrex.
Garrus looks at Bobby and asks, "I know you don't want to get involved Bob but we could use you and the boys if you don't mind helping out an old friend?"
Bobby began to contemplate this request until Liara grabbed Bobby by his arm and pleads to him, "Please Bobby."
Bobby couldn't say no to Liara and with that he answers, "Okay we're in, just lemme tell the guys."
Bobby heads over to see only Rabbit, AJ, Moxxi, and Gustavo and asks, "Hey where did Silas and Devan go?"
"They went to Purgatory...Silas wanted to go visit his girl," answered Rabbit.
"Well we gotta go get them, Garrus and Liara need us to help them defend Tuchanka," said Bobby.
"I bet you that the moment we show up it's gonna be another bar fight," commented AJ.
Purgatory
Silas and Devan arrived to the Purgatory Bar where they can see all the different types of species hanging out near the bar, sitting in tables, playing pool, or dancing around. Silas looks over and sees a woman behind the bar waving at him as he gleefully comes over and gives her a big hug and then later a kiss.
"I was wondering when you were gonna visit me Silas," commented the woman.
"Well baby when your the Thrillbilly ya gotta keep everyone in line...ain't that right Devan," said Silas as he looked over at Devan.
Devan approaches them as he comments, "Don't let him fool you Kerry, we have to keep him in line."
Kerry let's out a chuckle with a smile before saying to the two, "The usual boys?"
Devan nodded with Kerry bringing out two beers for them. Kerry then began to feel uncomfortable as she noticed a couple of Batarians staring at her. Silas and Devan took notice as Silas comments, "Don't worry Baby...I'll go deal with those scallywags."
"Now Silas...remember last time," said Devan.
Silas, already making his way towards the Batarians, raises his hands up and says, "Don't worry Devan...I got this under control."
Silas approaches the Batarians sitting in front of them as they looked at him with scowls on their faces. Silas glances at them back before saying, "I noticed you fellas glancing at that bartender over there."
The Batarians look at each other before one of them says back, "Yeah we were...not normally big on humans but boy is she hot."
"that's actually my girlfriend," commented Silas.
"Is that so...tell me human does she like landscaping," taunted the same batarian.
"Come again?" asked Silas this time sporting a smile.
"What I meant to say human is does she shuck on corn," taunted the Batarian again this time with his friend laughing.
Silas let's out a laugh as well before proceeding to drinking his beer. The image freezes as a random voice says, "Now there are some things you just don't say to a man...about his woman"
Silas finishes his beer as he sets it down before picking up a basket of food from the table throwing it at the Batarians face before yelling out, "I'll shuck your corn cocksucker."
Silas jumps on the Batarian and starts laying in punches before his buddies swarm on Silas pinning him against the wall. Devan noticed this and comments, "Here we go again."
Devan heads over there as he gets in between them and asks, "Can I get in on this?"
The Batarians nodded their head with glee until Devan punches one and back elbows another before one of them grabs him from behind and drags him away. Silas proceeds to headbutt the one that pinned him against the wall and let's out a yell before charging forward I to the fray. A massive brawl now begins with a lot of the patrons brawling randomly.
Kerry takes a pool stick and wakes a man from behind but it breaks upon impact. Kerry then sees a fan with some Pool balls nearby and has an idea. She inserts one ball into the fan as it shoots out and hits a Batarian in the face.
Devan punches one man away before turning to punch a Turian in his nuts but fails to realize turians wear their armor at all times as his hand collides with the turiams armor. Devan looks up with a look of pain before getting punched several times by the Turian. Silas then appears out of nowhere and nails the Turian with a boot to the face knocking the Turian out. Silas helps Devan to his feet as he yells out gleefully at the chaos unfolding.
Kerry puts another pool ball inside the fan as it launches out and hits a Salarian in the nuts. He frimaces in pain falling to his knees as his female companion checks on him with Kerry covering her mouth in shock.
Silas punches a human before looking over to see a much bigger human with a long beard and pony tail, flexing his arms into a giant L. Silas smirks as he comments, "Looks like Bigfoot got a shave."
Silas punches the man but the big man eats it and pins Silas up against the wall. Silas looks over to see a Turian with a beer bottle crack it against the man's head. the man once again takes it and glances at the Turian before grabbing him and throwing him against a group of other patrons.
Silas looks over and sees Devan pinning a man against the wall ready to hit him until Silas stops him and says, "Don't hit him man that's Frank Castle."
Devan looks at the man with a look of surprise before smiling and says, "Really?"
Frank doesn't answer as he punches Devan as Devan flies away into the same group of Batarians. They pick him up and hurl him into a shelf of liquors. Devan gets up while still clutching an intact liquor bottle. The Batarians pick up Devan and begin punching him until the big giant man gets involved and helps Devan fight them off.
Kerry puts another ball inside the fan and let's out a laugh as the ball shoots out but it hits Silas to Kerry's horror. A man laughs at what just happened as Silas yells and picks up the man before hitting him across the face. Meanwhile, Devan pins another man against the bar and asks Silas, "Hey can I hit this asshole?"
"Kill them all!!!" yells out Silas.
Devan knocks out the man as Silas lifts the man he's clutching up and tosses him at the Batarians. The brawl continues until a gunshot is heard as everyone looks to see Bobby and the gang as AJ comments, "See I told you there was gonna be another fight."
Bobby approaches Silas and Devan with Kerry handing them some I've packs as Bobby says to them, "You guys okay?"
"Yeah we're fine, just getting Silas out of trouble as always," answered Devan as he took the ice pack and put it on his lip.
"Well hope you guys are still fit for more fighting...we're going to Tuchanka it's being invaded," said Bobby.
"I thought we were staying out of this type of shit," commented Silas.
"Change of Plans...we gotta go help," was all Bobby said as Silas smiles at him and jokes, "lemme guess...your trying to get in T'soni's pants so she asked you to help."
"Will you guys just come on before C-Sec shows up," said Bobby.
Silas looks over at Kerry and gives her a kiss goodbye before he and Devan get up to leave until the bigger human appears and says, "I hear you guys are going out for a fight?"
Devan and Silas at first we're ready for a fight until Bobby stops them and asks, "Yeah that's right and I take it your interested?"
"That's right...the names Big L and if it's cool I like to join you guys. I'm tired of being stuck here in the citadel and want to do something different. So am I in?" asked the man now known as Big L.
"Sure we could use all the help we can get. Let's move out fellas," said Bobby as everyone leaves Purgatory.
