I do not own Kim Possible, any of the other characters in that series, or those from other media I may reference.
Well, back to writing. I get tired of saying 'I can't believe it's been this long...', but there it is.

For a girl who had made surprises an integral part of her life with her adventurous lifestyle, Kim was beginning to seriously hope for fewer and fewer of them in her future life. Adjusting on the fly had always been one of her stroung suits, but it was becoming a serious pain due to how fast they had been coming lately, both the expected and the unexpected.
Which category her suddenly intimate relationship with Shego fell into, she actually wasn't sure. She had been aware of feelings within her for quite a while, and seen signs that those feelings were reciprocated, yet neither woman had acted on them until chance had made them impossible to ignore. And that was certainly uncharacteristic of either one of them!
They had both been far more tentative their second time together, but by the third...
Kim was suddenly snapped out of contemplating her new sex life by the realization that she had reached the front steps of the Legacy House and had almost stubbed her toe on the lowest one. Even with no one around to see her, it would have been embar...she grimaced. Of course it would have been seen, at least by one of the Boys on patrol, and anyone monitoring them. Thundagirl did that a lot, but then again she definitely had the capacity to multi-task a lot!
Still, she took a quick look around as if she could spot them, but they were certainly in stealth mode. A rather vigorous and occasionally raucous debate had occured at the house a couple of nights previously about having one or two of them visible because people knew they were around anyway, and the others cloaked to take advantage of anyone who tried to avoid the visible ones. But Shego had pointed out that their most dangerous threats would not be fooled, and putting a good scare into the local idiots could be endlessly entertaining. So in the end nothing had been changed by the debate except someone's appreciation of JJ's accuracy with a rice ball.
As Kim ascended the steps and approached the front door, she heard the locks click as they automatically allowed her access. Which was nice if it always worked for would-be intruders, but this was Global Justice technology in action, which meant that there was undoubtedly someone out there trying to find a way to circumvent it. She sighed, trying to remember a time when all the things that could go wrong didn't automatically leap to the front of her mind! Meanwhile she had entered the front door with her course set in her mind. Upstairs to her room, ditch her pack, then through the connecting door to the nursery, probably shedding wardrobe as she went. A minimum of twenty minutes with her daughters, provided that they were awake, and then...homework.
She did pause to study a screen to the left of the door when entering, that showed who was present in the house and who wasn't. And it showed that she had apparently beaten the other four girls home. Wondering what that might mean, she turned towards the stairs, shedding her pack as she did.
"What's it supposed to mean, Wade?" Kim stopped dead as Monique's voice came from the dining room to her right. The girl turned to see Bonnie and Rufus on one side of the table, studying a holographic projection hovering above the table. So Monique was obviously on the opposite side of the table, out of Kim's sight. But it was the hologram she focussed on, forgetting to wonder why Rufus was visiting this late.
"Not sure, it was just there this evening in one of my E-Mail accounts!" Wade replied with some asperity over the link. "With no address of origin, nothing to show how it got there!" Which definitely showed the reason for his displeasure. "Hey, Kim!" he added, noting the girl's arrival before any of the others present did.
Kim might have been amused by the guilty starts displayed by Monique and Bonnie if she had even noticed them, but she was completely focussed on the hologram. And scowling fiercely as she studied it. "Okay, I thought...I hoped that they were finished messing with Thundagirl, so exactly what is this?" She looked over her shoulder at the foyer. "I wish Charley or one of the others were here, they're the only ones who might know..." And then she was interrupted.
"A-hem!" Came over the link, in Thundagirl's voice. Kim started, then blushed furiously. But she noticed that both Bonnie and Monique appeared startled as well, and thought she detected the sound of Wade having some problems with some mis-routed soda. But she decided to stammer out an apology, anyway.
"S-s-sorry, TG! T-that was definitely a case of completely overlooking the obvious! But, what exactly is this an image of, a new-model...you?" Her frown came back as she looked at the design, though not as fiercely. All she was looking at at the moment was apparently a deck plan, but there many differences visible in it.
"Actually, it's sitting right beside me in the base as we speak." The sentient ship replied, causing Kim's eyebrows to shoot up as her eyes popped wide. "And all it really is is the latest model of...the craft I am, or was when I first met you. Apparently something must have motivated the Cadre rep to replace my current body with this. He has promised to drop by and explain it this evening, though!"
This caused a whirlwind of thoughts to cycle through Kim's mind, about the apparent lack of choice they might have in the matter, the disruption of her planned schedule for the evening, and curiosity about the reason for this. To top it off, her brain was also dealing with her obervations on what she was looking at, and the clear absence of things she was used to.
And that was just the current image, which depicted the ship's deck and details of the interior only. The first absence noted was the lack of any partitions. No longer a screened off cockpit, for instance. The ship's nose was quite thick, but had no portals of any kind. A flat horizontal surface, obviously for the 3D display, extended from it, And then the deck ran all the way to the stern uninterrupted by any partitions and apparently ended in a ramp as wide as the deck. In fact the layout was similar to many contemporary helicopters and aircraft, with doors on either side of the fuselage in addition to the ramp.
The two side doors were in the same place, centered about a quarter of the ship's length from the bow, and the deck widened by at least seven feet total between the doors, which appeared to be about five to six feet wide themselves...then Kim mentally kicked herself, she had no idea if the ship's total dimensions at changed , she was basing her estimates off her current, old, or whatever measurements. But her first question concerned the obvious absence of two important items.
"Where are the jump couchs and the stasis tubes for transporting injured?" She noted that there was a row of open lockers similar to most modern sports locker room against each side of the ship, seven to a side. They would better be described as stalls, however, since there appeared to be only a small actual 'locker' in each, as well as shelves for gear and a rod to hang clothing from. In front of each row was a strip of deck that was a coppery red color in the image. And the answer came to her even as Wade spoke it aloud.
"No tubes or couches of any kind necessary anymore, all you have to do is stand on the copper-colored part of the deck when jumping, and you're fine! The only things you can wear while jumping are your armor, and if you do you might feel a little bit of static 'tickling' you for a few minutes afterwards. As for the stasis beds, let me make an adjustment..."
No keystrokes sounded, but suddenly six tubes appeared, suspended above the deck in three pairs lined up over the centerline. "Only seven feet of headroom when walking under them, and they have individual suspension systems allowing them to be raised and lowered, and even taken up to two hundred meters outside the ship!" Wade was obviously enthusiastic about the changes, and Kim had to agree they were useful, but...
"Can you show me the exterior view of her, Wade?" She asked, then rolled her eyes.
"Rhetorical much, Kim?" Wade quipped, and did so. Along with a scale allowing Kim to see the ships size. Her eyes widened. "Wow, TG, you're a bit taller, now!" She exclaimed, then winced. Monique gave her a chastising look.
"You mean fatter, don't you?" Thundagirl replied. "I've gained nearly a meter and a half in width, and nearly as much vertically, along three quarters of my length!" Then she paused before continuing, "Not that that should bother me at all, I've controlled much bigger ships in my time, and the shape of some of them...but it does kind of bother me, isn't that silly?"
It was Bonnie who actually spoke first this time. "Well, as long as the changes all serve a useful purpose, they're not really objectionable. Like if one of us girls gets pregnant, got to have the changes. It's not exactly the same thing, of course, but..."
"But you're right, Bonnie, I wonder where I got this...well, not obssession, but concern for my esthetic appearance? Hmmm..."
Any further discussion on that topic was abruptly terminated by the front door swinging open to admit the other four students resident in the house. Who proceeded straight to the dining room, dropping their packs along the way, all but Charley looking puzzled. She was wearing a scowl that Kim suspected beat the one she had had by several degrees of magnitude.
Behind her, the other three girls' reaction were similar, surprise, then eyerolling. "Again?" JJ moaned aloud.
Charley's eyes swept over the holographic image, which abruptly switched back to the interior layout. Though she nodded as she noted some of the features, her displeasure became more and more apparent. But rather then say anything, she instead spun about and headed back for the front door, the others from long practice clearing out of her way as if they expected it.
Kim's mind made a leap of intuition and she followed Charley out, her own scowl returning. "Um..." came over the link from Wade, while the other five girls followed as well, just not swiftly.
Charley flung open the front door, causing the individual outside to flinch back reflexively. It was the Cadre rep they had met in Colorado, minus his distinctive hat and jacket. He grinned weakly at the two scowls directed at him, as Charley grudgingly stepped back to allow him entrance, closing the door behind him with only slightly more vehemence then she normally did.
The rep took the initiative. "Before you say anything, I'm not entirely sure what is going on, and am a little puzzled by events. This exchange certainly exceeds what you four should have expected in the way of rewards!" He sighed, "But, orders is orders!"
"Oh, I am quite certain what's 'going on'!" Charley replied brusquely, "I think the Cadres became aware, somehow,..." The Representative flinched at her look, but then looked thoughtful as she continued, "...of the 'improvements' done to Thundagirl while we were among The People when the Doctor took us there! And now, this exchange is so they can get hold of the old hull, and learn a few secrets!"
Her three friends now scowled, Bonnie and Monique looked very intrigued, and the rep himself nodded. "You may just be right, Miss Cob, you may just be right!" He replied, but then shrugged, "But I'm afraid the exchange has to take place now, but only after you transfer your possessions from one ship to the other. Transferring TGX2B...err, Thundagirl's consciousness between ships should take no more then forty minutes at most, so I'm afraid you have to get a move on, ladies!"
Several mouths opened to protest, but then a strange female voice issued from the dining room, startling all. "Are you saying the new ship has been gifted to Team Possible, no matter what occurs?" Kim noticed Charley was particularly trying to get a look into the dining room, and concluded that the voice was unknown to her, as well.
Though puzzled, and unsure who was speaking, the Cadre rep nodded. "Absolutely, the new ship is irrevocably their property as of now!"
"Good!" Was the only reply. Belle and Bonnie had reached the door to the dining room and were peering within, scowling. Monique wasn't sure which way to jump, when something caused said jump to be slightly vertical.
"Wow!" Came an exclamation in Thundagirl's voice, "That's the fastest transfer I've ever experienced! Actually has me feeling a little dizzy!" There was a brief pause while Kim scowled suspiciously at the rep, then noticed a faint grin appearing on Charley's face. "Wow, again! All your stuff is aboard, guys, and properly stowed, for once! Oh, and my old hull is gone, and not in the way the Cadre usually transport things..." she trailed off in a puzzled manner.
Almost everyone was now looking confused, save Charley, and her expression still expressed a mild degree of displeasure. "I guess we have a new ship whether we want it or not, but the Cadres didn't get the old one!" She declared quietly.
"Then who did..." Beth stopped abruptly as her mouth dropped open and her eyes tried to widen to match. JJ and Belle likewise showed surprised comprehension, and Kim had just beaten them to the punch this time.
"The People took the old ship, didn't they?" She asked Charley, who nodded acknowledgement, "Which means they've been monitoring us as well?" Charley grimaced at that, then shrugged.
The Cadre rep looked thorougly bemused for a moment. But then he grinned and shrugged himself. "Well, it's done, and cannot be undone! Annnnd, if this was just a 'gift', then it doesn't count against your remaining reward points, so you can still make some further, reasonable, requests along those lines!"
Still obviously unhappy about the evening's developments, Charley grudgingly nodded her acknowledgement. The rep nodded, then reached into a pocket, but halted. "Hmm, why go straight back home?" He mused aloud, "When one of my all-time favorite restaurants is here in Go City? I think I'll go pay a visit!" He looked down at himself with a smile. "And fortunately, there's no dress code, whatsoever!" He then bowed, still smiling, turned and departed.
Behind him, several pairs of eyes shifted between Charley, Kim, the parlor, and the 'secret' entrance to the safehouse. It was Kim who finally sighed. "I sooo want to head upstairs and see the girls, but I suppose we should go see the new ship."
Bonnie consulted her phone. "They're both asleep right now, Kim." That got Kim's attention rather quickly, but after a moment she just smiled.
"You're right, let's get to this!" Charley declared, and turned towards the parlor. But before she could take a step, all three of her friends and Monique shot past her headed that way. She looked startled, then angry briefly, then just grinned and shrugged to Kim. Then she turned to look at empty air besides her, and Fred and Saul appeared. Fred faced Kim, and Saul Charley, and suddenly both vanished, leaving Bonnie alone in the foyer.
A look of mild outrage blossomed on the brunette's face. "Well, I like that!" She paused, "Not a damn bit!" she declared, then grinned resignedly. "Well, someone has to stay here in case of a problem!' She then headed for the stairs.
Aboard Thundagirl, the sentient ship was talking to the newly arrived Kim and Charley, who were walking towards the starboard hatch. "We can arrange privacy screens any way we wish if we are carrying a mixed crew, Kim. And by the way, did I mention..."
When the ship paused, as Kim and Charley both saw what she was about to mention.
Just outside were the assembled members of Team Go, who had apparently gathered for another training session. And in front, scowling fiercely, was Shego.
"All Right, what the Hell is going on here?"

About thirty minutes later, all members of Team Possible and Team Go were now present in the base, as well as Kamala Houston and Teri Lensco, who was transmitting video back to GJ Headquarters.
The girls who had raced to reach the new ship first were still shooting the occasional petulant look at Kim and Charley, though JJ and the Reeders were also miffed at themselves for not thinking of the skulls themselves, since all were capable of transporting them aboard Thundagirl.
At the moment, Kim, Charley, Ron, Teri and Shego were in the ship, watching as she demonstrated the ability she had mentioned concerning the privacy screens. The girls had also checked to see if all their gear and personal possessions were in the lockers along the starboard side of the ship. Ron's and Rufus' things were in portside lockers. Vito and Walt were also present, and appeared quite curious themselves at the changes.
"So on either side I can just close off the lockers in one big section, or place five partitions to subdivide it. Though two of those should be at either end. So, a little personal privacy can be accomodated if needed." The ship explained.
Shego had finally lost her scowl and was nodding in approval, while studying the now wide-open deck running most of the length of the ship. "So, we can bring two or three ATCs or something similar in the back..." She looked up at the status tubes appraisingly, "Though might have problems bringing all of them down...whatever! I guess we can manage...I mean YOU can manage, not sure how often I'll be along, after all!" She grimaced at her finishing improvisation, and Kim forced herself not to smile as she nodded acknowledgement.
"And we still have the original two drones, slightly upgraded, as well as a larger one inverted on the roof." Charley remarked while shaking her head slightly, "I suppose putting it underneath might have been unwise, but still..." She shrugged. "We did lose a little toughness from what The People built in, but she's better in that area then she was when we first arrived on Earth, so we can live with it."
"Hopefully." Shego muttered. A sudden beeping caught her attention, then they all heard Bonnie's voice.
"Two little somebodies are awake, if anyone's interested?" Kim's and Shego's eyes met and locked, widening slightly, then they both turned towards the hatch...and vanished. Ron actually caught himself looking around frantically before wincing with a sheepish grin. "Still can't get used to that!" He exclaimed, looking at the two skulls present.
"It takes a surprisingly long time, believe me!" Charley responded with a smile. Then she turned and exited, heading for where Warren Go was chatting with Monique and Beth. "Afraid your sister has gone to a better place, guys!" She announced, still smiling.
Mego nodded. "We heard! Hope that means that tonight's training..." He broke off with a wince as his cellphone began to play 'Ride of the Valkyries'. "I should have known better!" He commented sourly as he answered it.
Kamala Houston terminated her own phone conversation and approached Charley, shaking her head. "I am not going to ask whether this will be the last sudden 'change' around here, because you don't know any better then I do, do you?"
Charley sighed and shook her head. "I don't, but I sincerely hope so, my reaction to this one has me worried!" She looked the older woman in the eye, "I think I am beginning to crave stability in my life, I've just 'rolled with the punches' far too many times since I was first taken by the Cadres."
Kamala nodded sympathetically, "I can't imagine what it's really been like for you, Charley. I've had a lot of life changes in my time, but I usually have time to adjust between them, whereas you seem to have been constantly dealing with them!"
Charley smiled slightly. "There were a few, brief, breaks. But not enough! And the fact I had no choice in many of them really...but I suppose some of yours were the same, weren't they?"
Kamala started to nod, but then an unusual tune Charley couldn't recognize issued from her phone. And possibly Teri Lensco's as well, from the echo affect Charley barely made out from inside the ship.
Face suddenly dead serious, Kamala Houston answered the phone, turning and walking away from everyone present as she did. And she was certainly the center of attention for all those present. Teri rushed out of Thundagirl by the rear ramp before she stopped to listen, also keeping her own back turned to everyone.
Charley frowned in frustration, an expression mirrored on almost everyone else's face. Ron came out of Thundagirl as well to stand beside her, while Rufus and JJ drifted over from where Belle and the Wegos stood. Mego still had his phone almost up to his ear, but now appeared to be talking quietly into it.
Nearly ten minutes passed before Kamala Houston disconnected and turned to face them, a thoughtful expression on her face. But then she nodded slightly and adopted a stern expression. "All right, it seems our...alliance has paid off! We now know where Gemini is, but we have to decide how to handle this!" Her gaze swept over everyone present, "And just who exactly will be handling it!"

So, there's something written and posted, now to try and continue either of the other two stories I have running!
