Whoops no chapters since 2019, and most of my stories haven't been updated at all….. Haha…. Whoops… Sorry about that anybody still around.
Tiny details may not be consistent in this chapter compared to the last chapter, I lost the original doc somewhere. But I'll try to stay accurate. Hope you all enjoy better grammar and writing.
Inspired by Sins007,
Everything went black for Ezra as his eyes rolled up and he passed out. Blood began to pool around the boy, as his leg wounds, while somewhat healed with Ezra's force healing capabilities, was still significantly injured.
The Master revealed a gentle smile as he snapped his fingers. Dark troopers with red crosses surrounded by a white circle came running to the collection of students, both alive and dead. Wensha and Ezra were picked up onto stretchers, and Ezra was properly detained.
The Master then turned his attention to the seventh sister and the dark lord of the Empire, Darth Vader. The masked lord revealed no emotions to the show displayed by the Master, but he now had no doubt of Ezra's capability in using the force as his servant. The seventh sister on the other hand had a vicious grin painted across her face, filled with pleasure as she beared witness to the quick sample of torture and violence the Master displayed against the young boy.
"You have my word, Lord Vader, Ezra Bridger's connection with his old life will be absolutely torn apart, his will to fight for the rebel cause will be crushed, and he will be a perfect mold for you to shape as you please." The Master spoke, his head bending down as a way to bow to Darth Vader.
The seventh sister bowed her head to the Master as she and Darth Vader turned around and walked away, ensuring that she stood a few steps back from the incarnation of the dark side.
Kanen groaned and cried in pain, his hands pressed against his temple as beads of sweat dripped down his head. He could feel every torturous movement, every malevolent call, every attack against his apprentice he could feel. Kanen wanted to help his apprentice, he desperately called out to his student as he could feel his soul slip towards the dark side. He knew how vulnerable Ezra was, he knew how dangerous this situation was for the boy.
"Please… M-Master I'm begging you to help save this girl" Ezra cried out. Kanen could feel the water in his eyes collecting. Kanen had tears in his eyes too, his own tears as he watched his student go through something so traumatic so quickly.
Then, everything went black, at least until Kanen's eyes opened up, revealing the setting of his room. If only he had made it faster. He was with Hera as they quickly landed to pick their younger Specters up, but it was too late. He watched as Vader hauled Ezra away.
"Kanen!" A voice came from outside of the Jedi's door. "It's Sabine, she's gonna be alright."
Kanen shot up, running to the door and punching the button to open the barrier between him and his beloved Hera. She had tears in her eyes too, and her eyes were red from how much she had cried.
Together they rushed to the Ghost's common room, where a mattress had been laid out. Sabine laid on top, bloody bandages and stitches covering parts of her body. Nearby a medical droid stood nearby, something the Ghost crew had staches away in one of their common spots.
Sabine was breathing softly, her forehead covered by its own bandages. But she was alive and she would survive with enough rest and recovery.
Kanen reflected on events earlier that day. While Ezra was dragged off by the Sith lord who left in his Lambda Shuttle, Kanen and the rest of the Ghost crew swooped into the crowd, using the Ghost's cannons to clear a landing zone. Zeb and Kanen rappelled down from the Ghost's loading dock. There they found Sabine.
She looked almost dead as they picked her up, her armor covered in blaster bolts and her helmet laying nearby, a crack in the visor. Kanen grabbed the helmet as Zeb grabbed Sabine. Once on board, after removing Sabine's armor plates, Kanen had feared the worst. Blood had clearly been marked across the body suit underneath.
Zeb found Stem packs, giving the girl a few to help her recover, but she hadn't moved one bit. The two males looked at their friend, desperation in their eyes as they begged for her to take a breath. Was she really dead?
No.
It was Chopper who managed to take notice. She rushed to Sabine, using his hand to push against her chest. She exhaled, then after a moment, she inhaled again, on her own. The Ghost crew acted quickly, getting her connected to any medical equipment on the ship.
Hera came rushing to the common room, she had already set a course for one of the Rebel hideouts on Lothal, away from Imperial presence. She didn't stay for long, but cried in relief as she saw Sabine breathe, however little she did.
Kanen returned his thoughts to the present and was relieved that she was alive. But what about his apprentice? He knew he was alive, and that Vader had a goal for the boy. He didn't know what it was, but he knew that he had a week to find and rescue his apprentice.
The Jedi pulled Hera aside, into the hallway leading to the cockpit. Leaning against the wall he expressed his thoughts regarding Ezra.
"Ezra's been taken to an Inquisitorial training complex. I don't know where, but we have a week to find him before Vader comes back and takes him again." He revealed.
Hera looked over to Zeb and Chopper who sat silently around Sabine, concerned with the only emotion expressed in their eyes. She then looked back toward Kanen. "Okay, you need to contact Fulcrum… Ahsoka, so she can help us. And we need to leave Lothal for a bit, it's too heated right now.
Kanen nodded in agreement, knowing Lothal would be crawling with Star Destroyers for the next few days. They needed to regroup with the Rebel fleet, get support and tap into the Rebel spy network to see if there was any sign of Ezra.
Several hours later, the Ghost had entered hyperspace, the brilliant glow of the high-speed travel filling the Jedi's eyes. He closed them for a moment, staring into the darkness as he used the force to connect himself to his padawan. Whether Ezra would feel it or not, he had a message.
"Hold tight Ezra, I'm going to save you."
