Hi guys, I greatly apologize for not uploading in a very long time. Things have been very stressful with a lot of bad things going on in my life. (I've also been stressed with school ending cause I had to leave the most amazing teachers) I'm doing better though and I will try to make time to post. (Even if school is starting soon-)I appreciate you guys not rushing me with this. Also, if you're wondering why I'm not writing about the parents much, I don't like them a whole lot… imo they don't add to the story. So sorry about that- Well without further ado, I think you should enjoy this new chapter of LouderTale.

"Oh hi Lori!", greeted Leni.

"Hi Leni, hey Lincoln… How are you guys doing?", asked Lori.

"We are fine, I made a new outfit for Lincoln to go with his eyes!", shouted Leni in excitement.

"O that's nice, how do you like it Lincoln?", asked Lori.

Lincoln gave Lori a shaky smile and hesitantly gave a thumbs up.

"Umm that doesn't seen genuine Lincoln"

"It is… I really like it actually, I am just shaken cause it brought back a lot of memories… bad ones per say", explained Lincoln.

"I tried to get him to explain why but he wouldn't answer me", added Leni.

"I can't say right now… I am just not ready…"

"But haven't you already mentioned everything Linc?", questioned Lori.

"...no, I didn't"

"Why? What could possibly be worse than I don't know dying repeatedly-"

"I just don't want to talk about it right now! Is that too hard to ask for?", asked Lincoln.

Lori and Leni both went silent as Lincoln frowned.

"S-sorry…", apologized Lincoln.

"It's ok, we should be the ones apologizing", said Lori.

Leni began to speak to Lincoln as Lori was thinking to herself. Lincoln already explained a majority of the stuff he went through. Why was he having trouble with the next thing? And on top of all of that, why does Lincoln still seem shaken up after hours had gone by? Lori doesn't really know about trauma or whatever, and it was really confusing her.

"Lori…?"

"Wha- yeah?"

"Are you ok?", asked Lincoln.

"I should be the one asking you that", said Lori.

"Well uh, it seemed that you were staring at something", exclaimed Lincoln.

"Unless you count staring off into space as something, I was simply just thinking about stuff", said Lori.

"Oh…"

"..."

"Leni?"

"Yeah?"

"Is it ok if I take Lincoln now?", asked Lori.

"Sure! I don't mind!", shouted Leni.

"…What are we gonna do Lori?", asked Lincoln.

"I have something in mind, but only if you're ready for it", said Lori.

"What do you mean by that?", asked Lincoln.

"I was thinking of going to the mall-"

"The mall?? Can I come???????????"

"Haha- sorry Leni", chuckled Lori. "I would take you with but I kind of just want to take Lincoln on my own, if it's ok with him"

"I'm… not sure if I really want to go in public yet", stated Lincoln. "I mean first of all my eyes, and what if I accidentally idk summon a knife? You guys including myself aren't even exactly used to the 'things' I can do… let alone going out and letting the whole world know, I will be wanted for sure"

"I'll make sure that doesn't happen-"

"Even if it didn't, people are going to judge me", interrupted Lincoln.

"So?"

"You know I'm still insecure about that, even if we have talked about it", said Lincoln.

"If things get bad I'll bring you home, I promise", said Lori.

"I don't know… I just… I don't want to risk anything", added Lincoln.

"Nothing will be at risk here Linc… trust me", encouraged Lori. "We just have to at least try, plus… mom and dad aren't gonna let you stay home from school forever"

Right… school, that was a whole different story. Lincoln didn't even want to begin thinking about that nightmare, let alone what his friends are going to think once he sees them again.

Strangely though, he never got one text from them… not even from Clyde.

"Lincoln…?"

"What? Oh sorry… I must've zoned out again", apologized Lincoln.

"It's ok, no need to apologize… I understand"

Lincoln nodded.

"So… are we ready to go now?", asked Lori.

"To be honest not really… but, I guess it's worth trying?"

"Does that mean yes?", asked Leni.

"I… guess so", replied Lincoln, still unsure.

"That's great! Well we better get going now, the mall closes in 2 hours", exclaimed Lori.

"Still wish I could come…", said Leni.

"Trust me I would take you Leni but… just not right now", said Lori.

"I'll be ok guys, I don't really mind too much!", shouted Leni.

"That's good at least", said Lori.

Lori walked out of Leni's room and Lincoln had hesitantly followed her. He waved to Leni and continued to follow Lori downstairs, where his sisters were waiting.

"Hey Linc- woahh nice outfit!", exclaimed Luna.

"Thanks…"

"I'm no fashionista but wow, that really looks good on you", complimented Lana.

"I concur with Lana", said Lisa.

"Did Leni do this for you?", asked Lynn.

"Yeah… she did this in less than 30 minutes", said Lincoln.

"What? Man she's talented", said Lynn.

"I never thought that Leni could actually do something like this… no offense to her of course", said Luan.

"I'm as well impressed", said Lori as she went to the door.

"Where are you guys going?", asked Lucy.

"I was gonna take Lincoln to the mall, to like you know… make him experience the real world a bit since he hasn't in a while", explained Lori.

"Are you sure that's a good idea sis?", asked Luna. "Doesn't he need time to rest?"

"I'll be 'ok' Luna… besides, I don't think any amount of 'resting' is going to fix this", said Lincoln. "So why not try to e-experience things again now?"

Lincoln, in fact, was bluffing… he did not in any way want to even step foot outside.

"You do have a point, I mean look at me… I rest all the time and I still think the world is broken", stated Lucy.

"Yes Lucy, we know"

"Well guys, We're gonna go now… the mall isn't going to stay open all day", said Lori.

"Ok… bai guys!"

"Bai…"

Lori opened the door and Lincoln nervously walked out as Lori came up behind him closing the door and locking it. They both climbed into vanzilla, while Lincoln's mind was still racing with unsureness and regret. Lori didn't seem to notice and just started the car and began to drive.

The entire car ride there was complete dead silence, Lori still did not question it. Lincoln's anxiety was skyrocketing and Lori still didn't seem to see it.

With a time skip later, they had arrived and Lori was well parked.

"Well, are you ready Lincoln?", asked Lori.

"Y-yeah", lied Lincoln who was in fact, not ready.

Adding on to the fact, he wasn't sure if he could trust Lori. Why was she so eager to take Lincoln into the public when he was clearly not ready but didn't have the heart to tell Lori that?

"Is something wrong Lincoln?", asked Lori.

Finally, she noticed.

"…uh, no"

And of course, Lincoln didn't take the opportunity.

"Are you sure? You still seem uneasy-"

"I'm fine", snapped Lincoln, making Lori go silent.

"Oh, I'm sorry Lori I didn't-"

"It's ok, you're still getting used to things… which is probably why we should go now, the mall is gonna close soon as if I didn't already establish that before", explained Lori.

"O-ok.."

Lincoln opened the car door and stepped out cautiously as he felt a small breeze on his face. Lincoln then closed the door as Lori got out and immediately started shivering.

"Whew, I really should've brought a jacket or something, good thing Leni made you one Lincoln", said Lori.

Lincoln was confused, he could feel the breeze but he didn't feel cold at all. Was it the jacket? But his legs weren't cold either.

"It's cold out?", questioned Lincoln.

"Not cold but pretty chilly, how are you surviving right now… you're also in shorts", said Lori.

"I… don't know, it doesn't feel cold at all", said Lincoln.

"Either Leni's fabric is really insulated, or it has something to do with your disappearance", stated Lori.

"Maybe I just got used to the cold? I mean one section I survived completely without a jacket or anything, and there was snow on the ground", explained Lincoln.

"Section?"

"Yeah, didn't I establish that before? Or did I not…?""

"Even if you did I don't remember", said Lori.

"Oh… well-"

"You'll have to explain later Linc, we can't waste more time", interrupted Lori as she grabbed Lincoln's arm and began to sprint.

"W-wait hold on Lori- Wait!"

Lincoln tried to shout but he was now running to keep up with Lori so she's not dragging him. And he was also disappointed because talking about whether it was cold or not distracted him from the thought of entering a very public place.

"Lori stop!"

Lori either didn't hear him or just straight up ignored him. Cause she kept running with Lincoln's arm in a tight grip. There was nothing he could do except keep running.

Turns out that wasn't the greatest decision, because when they got to the entrance Lori stopped and let go of Lincoln as the force made Lincoln continue and made him fall forward right onto the floor face first.

"Oh sorry Lincoln, I think I got too carried away and rushed ya too hard…", apologized Lori as she walked over to Lincoln.

As Lori said that Lincoln picked his head up and looked ahead of him.

So… many… people…

Lori kneeled down to Lincoln to help him up.

"…I just got really worried we wouldn't make it on time mixed with the feeling of excitement to spend time with you after so long-"

"Lori…"

Lincoln seemed very panicked as he perked up some more.

"…What is it?"

"This isn't a good idea, this is not a good idea.", admitted Lincoln very sternly while also panicking.

"What? But we got all the way here-"

"I don't care."

Lincoln was now standing as he looked at all the people in front of him.

"It's not… I'm not ready"

"Well why didn't you just say something before we drove here?"asked Lori, now seemingly annoyed.

"Cause you were so excited and I didn't want to ruin it!", shouted Lincoln. "Now that I told you, let's go back now-"

"No, we made it this far… you can't just hide forever because you're different now, you're gonna have to embrace the real world whether you like it or not", lectured Lori.

"But I can't Lori-"

"Don't say that, don't ever say that Lincoln… now come on. We are going", demanded Lori as she grabbed Lincoln's arm again.

"L-Lori"

Lori's tone of voice began to really scare Lincoln, what has gotten into her? Lincoln was clearly not ready, he was still traumatized. And he hasn't exactly gotten used to his 'powers' yet. Why can't Lori see that? Why was she being so selfish?

"Shut up."

Lori was now in an extremely bad mood. And because of this Lincoln completely went silent as he nervously looked around him seeing all the people staring at him.

"What the- what's with that kid?"

"Why does that child look so weird?"

"Kids stay away from him"

"Tf- what's with his eyes-"

"Bruh nah this kid ugly as hell"

Lincoln gritted his teeth in fear as he continued to hear comments being made about him, he glanced at Lori who didn't seem to hear as she was still pissed off.

"lori…", he said quietly.

Lori kept walking…

"Are you from the devil himself?"

"What's wrong with you?"

"Is this kid even real?"

"Lori."

She heard him that time, but ignored him.

"Lori!"

"Lincoln stop, you disappear for so long and can't even give some of your time to hang with your sister… just deal with it-"

"HOW CAN I DEAL WITH IT IF EVERYONE IS SAY- AGH"

Lincoln felt himself being grabbed by the arm, and it wasn't from Lori.

"Wha- hey!", shouted Lori as her senses came back to her.

A lady, who seemed more vile than Lincoln, grabbed him on the arm and gave Lori a death stare.

"Is this your son your something?", asked the lady whose grip tightened on Lincoln.

Speaking of Lincoln, he was extremely terrified right now.

"Lori… help"

"Um… no he's my brother", said Lori.

"Well I am reporting this creep to the police", shouted the lady. "He looks like he's about to kill someone!"

Lincoln's eyes went wide.

"No… let him go! He wouldn't touch a Soul", demanded Lori.

Before Lincoln could react to the statement the lady's grip tightened again, making Lincoln react to the pain instead.

"I don't care, let me take him-"

"Please let go-"

"No! I'm deciding to do this and that's final!"

Lincoln glared at the lady for a second before using every bit of his strength to get out of the Karen's grip. He didn't know what feeling came over him… but he didn't think before turning around and staring Karen dead in the eyes. With a red glowing sword in his hands.

The lady was terrified, she once felt powerful until the white haired boy gave her a death stare that no man has ever given her.

In fear, not another word was said… she shakenly left and ran off into the distance. She didn't even bother to go to the security guard.

"L-Lincoln?"

Lincoln turned his attention to Lori as the sword despawned.

"Lori…"

Lincoln's eyes went wide.

"Did I just… do that?", questioned Lincoln in disbelief.

He truly didn't know what came over him… his attention wasn't even to hurt the lady at all. But yet he still threatened her.

"Um… yeah, l-look Lincoln I'm sorry", apologized Lori.

"I should've realized you weren't ready… this was a terrible idea"

"It's fine… I guess, can we just leave?", asked Lincoln still shaken up a bit.

"Yeah… let's go-"

"Lori?"

Lori made eye contact with Lincoln as he asked for her.

"What is it Lincoln?"

"Did… did you hear what she said?", asked Lincoln.

"…yeah, but I can assure you that's not true… I know you'd never hurt anyone", reassured Lori.

Lincoln wanted to cry at that statement, but he stayed strong.

"O-ok… yeah, you're right"

"Now… let's go, now that I'm actually thinking straight we shouldn't be here any longer", said Lori as she grabbed Lincoln's hand and started running out with him as he looked down so no one else would see his eyes.

"I'm sorry this didn't go the way you planned", said Lincoln while running.

"It's fine, it's my fault for not understanding that you're clearly not ready for this", said Lori.

Lincoln stayed silent as they both ran out of the mall and too vanzilla, Lori fumbled to get her keys and Lincoln waited to get inside the door. Eventually the van unlocked and they both climbed inside as Lori started the car.

"Well… that was a bust", said Lori as she began to drive out.

"Yeah… I predicted that would happen", said Lincoln somenly. "I hate this"

"Hate what?"

"My eyes… my personality, they're different", replied Lincoln. "I can't even go out in public anymore, Lori I threatened that lady!"

"Well to be fair she threatened you first", said Lori.

"I know but I would never do that… I don't know why I did then, some feeling just came over me", explained Lincoln. "Like I wanted to defend myself, I didn't even think of hurting her"

"I think it's a normal feeling Lincoln, and all that trauma you went through probably has a role", exclaimed Lori. "As I said before you wouldn't hurt anyone, I'm not sure how you got those… powers, but it probably wasn't from harsh actions… you're a good kid Lincoln", explained Lori. "You don't have to worry about that"

Lincoln's eye twitched as Lori said that.

"Yeah… ok"

"Something wrong?", questioned Lori.

"No…"

Lori frowned as Lincoln said that, he literally did sound extremely scared and depressed at the same time. Poor boy was going through so much, he probably didn't tell everything. Lori decided to change the subject.

"Hey want McDonald's?", asked Lori.

"What? McDonald's?"

Lincoln was really caught off guard, but it's been a while since he ate something. And McDonald's was one of his favorite places.

"Sure"

"Ok, what do you want?", asked Lori.

"10 piece, with a coke", said Lincoln as he smiled.

"Alrighty then"

Lori spotted a McDonald's and pulled into the drive thru, Lincoln looked away as she ordered Lincoln's meal and her own. Lori got a big mac with a coke.

She got the McDonald's and gave it to Lincoln.

"Thanks Lori"

"Anytime"

"Not just for the meal… I mean for everything", said Lincoln as he bit down on a fry.

"What do you mean?"

"For trying to make me feel better, I really appreciate you caring for me and not judging me at all", exclaimed Lincoln. "I needed that…"

"You're welcome Lincoln… love you"

"Love you too"
