DISCLAIMER

Harry Potter and Wizarding World belongs to J.K. Rowling. I'm just trying to kill my boredom while playing with it.

A/N: This is part of a bigger project a plan to write someday. I just thought I would post this as a sweet little one-shot for now. The action takes place before Quidditch World Cup in GoF. Thanks for reading and enjoy!

At the Burrow, Molly Weasley noticed that her daughter was acting strangely. Instead of always being the bright girl she was, especially on Summer Holidays, she was rather depressed. One day after dinner Molly she told her to stay while the others went in their own directions.

"What is it, mum? Asked Ginny as her mother finished doing tea.

"I just wanted to talk dear. You know, like a heart-to-heart conversation between mother and daughter."

Ginny rolled her eyes, "If it is "The Talk", remember that we had this conversation last year."

"No, it's not about that. Well, maybe part of it is, but I wanted to talk about your well-being. I noticed that you are rather depressed lately. Did your nightmares come back?" She asked worriedly.

"They never really stopped. From time to time I still have some, but it's much better than last year."

"That's why you are so upset? You know, if you want, we can go to a mind healer and

"No, it's not about nightmares," Ginny murmured quietly.

"Then what's it? I'm just worried about you, love." She quickly added before her daughter had a chance to become even more upset. She knew how a teenager could be.

"It's nothing. I'm just being silly." Ginny said grumpily playing with her mug.

"It's obviously not nothing if you feel so bad because of it," Molly told her daughter patiently.

Ginny huffed angrily, "Is about this stupid bitch!"

"Ginny," Molly reprimanded.

"All right! It's about Cho Bloody Chang!"

"Is this girl bothering you," Asked Molly ready to defend her only daughter.

"No, I have never even talked with her. It's that she is the girl Harry has a crush on." She said with a scowl and crossed her arms.

Ah. So this is all about. Now all of sudden everything made sense. The joy of young love.

"So you are simply jealous."

"I'm not jealous!" Ginny huffed," Okay, maybe I am a little, but that doesn't change anything. What he even sees with her?" She ranted, "Sure she is beautiful, more than I will ever be, but that's all! I'm sure she has nothing more to offer. Harry needs someone who will understand him, and bring him out of his moods, not some empty pretty doll! Last year everything was going so nicely! I started to spend more time with him, we even talked and I thought that he was starting to notice me! How is he supposed to do that now that he is busy drooling after this… this tart," Ginny tirade through gritted teeth with her eyes full of not released angry tears and hands clenched into fists.

Molly couldn't help but crush her daughter into one of her famous motherly hugs and run her fingers through her long red her, just like she did when Ginny was still little and upset. It was another reminder that her daughter was growing up, and while she was proud that Ginny was becoming such a wonderful young lady, the thought of losing her to the hands of adulthood was breaking her heart.

"Oh sweetheart, boys these ages are just like this. Right now physical attraction is more important than emotions. Someday he will take a look back and think how stupid it was."

"But I just want him to notice me! I want nothing more than hug him when he is sad and kiss him better. I want to show him how is to be loved. Is it so hard to like me back? Am I asking for too much?" Said Ginny sounding not angry anymore, but dejected.

Molly could see that it was not a simple crush anymore, but something more. Her only daughter started falling in love. Maybe she was very young but Molly didn't have any doubts. Besides, how could you not fall in love with a boy who was ready to fight a twenty-metered Basilisk for you?

"I know sweetheart, I know," Molly consoled, "While he is more grown up than anyone his age, he still needs to grow up in the department of feelings. I know that it's easy to say that but try not to think about this Chang lass. Try to be yourself around him, so he can see the wonderful young girl you are. Whenever he's sad, come and comfort him. It doesn't need to be a hug as your relationship is not yet this advanced, but just show him that you care and that whenever he needs you, you're there. But more importantly, be his friend. The best relationships come from friendships."

"So, are you saying that I should give up on him and see what will be?

"No, love. Harry somewhat reminds me of your father," Molly chuckled, " He also was this dense and didn't notice me. But I have never given up on him, and I'm glad I didn't because I would never have a wonderful husband, you and your brothers. If you think Harry's worth it, and I think you do, then don't give up on him just because he doesn't like you like that right now. Fight for it, for your dreams and hopes.

Ginny smiled at her mum genuinely, "Thanks mum," She said hugging her mother tightly, "I think he's worth everything."

"And Ginny?" Molly called as her daughter released her and moved to leave the living room.

"Yes, mum?"

"Try to not insult other people just because you don't like them." She reprimanded, but couldn't remain straight-faced. After this heart-to-heart conversation, she started to dislike this whole Cho-person herself.

Her daughter rolled her eyes and smiled sweetly. "Sure thing mum."

Molly turned her eyes to the Weasley family Clock that was hanging on one of the walls wishing that someday, she could add a tenth hand to it; one that symbolised her unofficial seventh son.
