Hero Academia: Oshi no Ko

Hello and welcome to another experimental fanfic of My Hero Academia, in which a new inspiration popped into my head in an unexpected way, which happened in a sudden way, and this new inspiration would be different from the ones I upload recently.
This all started when I was surfing Twitter on my smartphone, where I accidentally came across an article for an anime that was slated to premiere in Japan last April, which the title is called Oshi no Ko. Although at first I sort of ignore it since I believe that it might be quite boring due to the title being similar to other anime, like the Idolmaster series, I changed my mind after seeing the promotional poster, and in turn I checked the article on Wikipedia, and learned about the plot of the manga.
When the anime premiered last April 12, I decided to watched the episodes via Google and see how the plot plays out, as I anticipated that I might get bored if the premise is similar to Idolmaster, since I normally don't watch a series whose plot is based on the idol entertainment industry while I brace myself in anticipation of getting disappointed.
As much as I hate to admit, I find myself fascinated due to its content and rather involvement of a supernatural-inspired plot, which is similar to some Isekai-inspired tropes that involves reincarnation, and after finishing the first season of the anime (which only has 11 episodes), it inspired me to come up with an idea to try this experimental fanfic
Since this is an experimental fanfiction that mainly involves My Hero Academia, I decided to bring in certain characters from Oshi no Ko into the mix, hence a crossover of sorts, and there I thought of how to split the characters to give them some equal exposure, so to balance it, and since the main setting would predominantly be in the MHA universe, only a select characters from Oshi no Ko l would be used here alongside the main characters of MHA, and will see how I would mix the two plots together.
However, this fic would be slightly AU, for a certain reason, so expect some changes though it would roughly similar to its source material.
Lastly, while Midoriya is the main lead, I thought of who would be the main female lead, which after a week of contemplating, I came to the decision to use Hado, given that her cheerful and child-like vibe is similar to Ruby Hoshino, as is Midoriya having similar serious-vibe to Aquamarine Hoshino.

Ch. 1: Prologue
Ten years ago…
The scene shifts at an apartment, where a five-year old boy, sporting green, curly hair and having a freckled face, is watching a live footage on his computer, where several pro heroes are seen doing heroic deeds like stopping crime and saving people. The little boy is so fixated that he aspires to become a hero himself when he grows up.
The boy is identified as Izuku Midoriya, and he appeared to be an avid fan of pro hero All-Might. As the little boy is watching in awe and admiration, his mother, Inko, smiled as she felt that her son has found inspiration, and there the little boy told his mom that he wants to become a hero like All-Might, which his mom smiled and said he would one day become one.
"Mom! Look!"
"Yes?"
"All-Might is amazing, right?"
"Yes, izuku."
"Can I become like him?"
"I'm sure you would."
"I'm going to become a hero when I grow up!"
"Yes, Izuku."
However, as fate would make itself apparent, the Midoriya family learned from a doctor that Izuku is Quirkless, and told Inko that they should just give it up, and accept the fact that Izuku is just an ordinary boy and can never become a pro hero, which Inko was in disbelief, asking the doctor how is this possible as she and her husband possess Quirks.
However, the doctor said that Izuku is one of the rare cases where he is born Quirkless and tells her that Izuku should just become an ordinary citizen, attend an ordinary school and live an ordinary life, and tells her that this is how life is, nothing more.
Izuku is heart-broken at this as he feels that his dreams will never be achieved and Inko consoled her son, seeing that he is depressed at this and apologized to her son, though all he could do is cry silently at this as he is forced to face the harsh truth and reality.
"M-mom…"
"Izuku…?"
"C-can…I…still be…a hero…?"
"Izuku…"
"…"
"Oh, Izuku! I'm sorry!"
"…"
"I'm sorry!"

In the years that passed, Midoriya's status as a Quirkless became known to his neighborhood, and neighborhood bullies uses their Quirk to torment him, mentally, and physically, to the point of badly injuring him, and as a battered and bleeding Midoriya lay on the ground, the bullies are ready to inflict more harm on the hapless boy, seeing that he could not fight back due to lacking a Quirk.
"Hah!"
"Look at that!"
"He really is Quirkless!"
"He couldn't even retaliate!"
"You're a loser!"
"You should commit suicide!"
"Yeah, you're a failure!"
"A trash!"
The bullies then began kicking Midoriya so hard that negative emotions began building up, as the bullying continues, and at one point one of the bullies began to kick their target on his BALLS, causing him to s cream out in pain, and the bullies laughed at this and tells him to scream even more, as it is music to their ears.
They kicked him there even more as they taunted him for being a geek who couldn't stand up for himself and for being an otaku whop is nothing special.
"Hah!"
"Take that!"
"And that!"
"You Quirkless brat!"
"Just stay down and die!"
"Stay at home and never come out!"
"You'll just be a punching bag!"
"And we'll be enjoying it!"
This made Izuku's childhood life unmemorable and Inko tried hard to make her son realize that all is not lost and that she is sure that something good is bound to happen and that a bright tomorrow awaits him and he shouldn't give up on life.
Inko's love for her son proved to be the factor that made Izuku hold on and persevere the challenges that came and he fought the misfortunes that tried to pull him down, and so far he is able to move past the fact that he is born Quirkless.
And as the years passed, Izuku persevered yet still suffered from discrimination due to being Quirkless, and while he still watch pro heroes doing their job in savings the day, he accidentally came across a Livestream video of an idol group, where they are performing at a live event, where nearly a thousand fans are in attendance, all holding and waving LIGHTED bars while cheering at the idol group.
There Izuku watched the performance and became fascinated, and began to watch Livestream videos of idol groups when performing, and this became an alternative source for him to pass up the time in addition to watching pro heroes saving the day and defeating villains.
While Inko is baffled on when her son became interested in idol groups, she is nevertheless relieved that he has something to pass up the time so that he won't get depressed about the fact that he is born Quirkless.

Present Time…
The scene then zoomed further and you can see that the scene shows that the place being shown is Tokyo, which is bustling with people who are walking the busy streets, some riding vehicles, and others riding on bicycles. There are several types of people seen on the streets; adults, children, and even infants being carried by their parents. Businessmen, businesswomen, students, policemen, all kinds of persons are seen, and they were doing their usual activities as if they do not mind it.
Shops are open and the merchants are selling their merchandise and are enticing people to buy them in hopes of earning money. It was a typical day and it seems that people today are lively and felt that their lives are full of blessings and couldn't ask for anything more, as some are happy with stable jobs, students studying in the best schools, and more, and some even chatted with one another feeling that today is a good day.
"Hey!"
"Nice day, isn't it?"
"Today is a good day..."
"I love my job..."
"Life is so good..."
"I wish I have a good day..."
"Lots of money..."
"Lots of girls..."

The scene then zoomed further and you can see that it is nighttime, and the scene shows that the place being shown is Tokyo, which is bustling with people who are walking the busy streets, some riding vehicles, and others riding on bicycles. The time now is 19:00, where it is the right time where people from all walks of life in society are seen passing by, having spent the whole day on their numerous activities and are now using this time to wind up and relax.
There are several types of people seen on the streets at this busy night; adults, children, and even infants being carried by their parents. Businessmen, businesswomen, students, policemen, all kinds of persons are seen, and they were doing their usual activities as if they do not mind it.
Shops are still open at this time, and the merchants are selling their merchandise and are enticing people to buy them in hopes of earning money. A few days later, the scene shifts at a middle school somewhere at Tokyo, where currently classes are ongoing until it was break-time, and the scene shifts at a classroom, where a few middle school students are there, chatting happily, and are discussing about the usual thing, such as the current trends, the latest gadgets and even the current blockbuster movies at the theatres.
"Hey, check this out…"
"Wow…that's…"
"Trendy…didn't know it was already at the stores by this time…"
"Listen…the current movie really rocks!"
"Yeah…Doctor Strange is such a hit!"
"How about Jumanji?"
"Take a look…both Nokia and Samsung's got the latest smartphone…"
"Too expensive…my pocket is already hurting…"
The middle school in question is identified as Aldera Middle School, which is situated near the central business district where malls, banks, restaurant and other establishments are located where students and even workers frequently hang out.
The scene zoomed inside Aldera Middle School, where you can see that most students are attending classes, and some are having P. E. lessons at the gymnasium. The scene then shifts to a classroom somewhere near the infirmary, where a few students are there. As the classroom at the moment is nearly emptied, as only a handful are there due to most of the students are out, the ones inside the classroom are chatting and talking about the usual topics and trend, such as the news and current trends, which include:
A pro-hero group with a motif of a cat is seen waging war against a drug-dealing gang
A fashion model who is also a pro-hero having snakes on her head seen in front of the cover of every fashion magazines all over Japan
A pro-hero becoming the talk of the town as he steered his team to numerous victories in taking down criminal groups using threads
Finally, the students began discussing one interesting topic, which is the current talk of the town, which is UA Academy, where they heard that those who were passed the entrance exams and went on to study there are said to be guaranteed success in becoming a pro-hero once he/she graduates, and the Aldera Middle School students were awed as they heard that the ambience, the facilities and the like are well-known and state-of-the-art, and they wondered if there is a chance that one of them gets selected and study at UA Academy, though they know that chances are somewhat slim as passing the entrance exams are not that easy, given that every middle schools all over Japan are many .
"Man…sure wish that I would pass the entrance exams…"
"Me too…"
"Imagine…we'd be fawned if we became students at UA Academy…"
"Do you guys have a Quirk or something?"
"Um…"
"Well…"
"Thought so. Keep dreaming."
"And be ready to be turned down if you fail the entrance exams…"
The scene then shows that one particular student is seen staring at the window, staring into the sky, and he seemed to be in his own world, and the classmates noted that he seemed to be having an ordinary thought as he appeared ordinary and nothing special, and knew that he is having another ordinary moment in an ordinary day.
That student is Izuku Midoriya, who is 14 years old, and he is staring at the skies as he felt that today is an ordinary day and nothing special is happening today, and his classmates shook him politely and tells him not to daze too much, stating that nothing extraordinary would happen today, which Midoriya sighed, as he felt that every day is ordinary and that nothing exciting is happening in his life.
"Hey, Midoriya."
"Quit staring at the skies."
"Or you'll be eaten alive."
"Huh? What? Oh…"
"Wishing for something exciting to happen in your ordinary life?"
"You should be thankful nothing mind-blowing happened to you…since you're Quirkless and all…"
"Yeah…you get to have a normal, quiet life, so enjoy it…there's nothing you can do anyway…"
"You're right…"
By then a PE teacher arrived and told the class to put on their PE uniforms as they will have an exercise at the track field and their attendance is a must, which the class nodded saying that they will change into their track suits in a moment.
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!"
After that the PE class ended a few hours passed, and now it is dismissal time, and there Izuku and some students are walking outside the school building and are heading towards their respective designations, though Midoriya is still struggling up until now on what to do as he still had to accept the fact that he is born Quirkless.
After an hour Midoriya arrived home and his mom greeted him and tells him that dinner will be ready soon, which he just nodded before heading back to his bedroom.

As Izuku is walking home from school, he passed by a stadium where he saw many people are lining up, and out of curiosity, Izuku asked one of the several people lining up and asked what is going on, in which this person said that a popular idol group, identified as B-Komachi, are performing live, and that the entrance is free, hence many are lining up.
There he told Izuku to line up behind him, reasoning that the queue is long after learning that this is the first time that the younger boy would experience watching a live performance of B-Komachi.
"Okay, kid…just stand behind me…and you'll get some front row…"
"Really…?"
"Yeah."
"Are you sure it's okay…?"
"Yeah, it's fine."
"…"
"Come on…the entrance is free. You don't get this chance very often…"
"O-okay…"
Out of curiosity, Izuku accepted and soon he got in, where he managed to get front row and was given a pair of LIGHTED BARS as he and the other fans await the arrival and appearance of the members of the popular B-Komachi idol group.
There the members of B-Komachi came on stage while greeting the fans, and there the lead member of B-Komachi, identified as Ai Hoshino, waved at the fans and asked them if they want B-Komachi to start performing, which they all roared in approval, as they began chanting the group's name, all the while Izuku was mesmerized by Ai's stage presence.
"Yeah! We want Ai! We want Ai!"

After that, Ai glanced at her fellow members of B-Komachi, and the idol group members smiled while nodding, and began to perform and sang one of the popular songs that still circulate up to this day.

The audience roared in excitement and approval as they enjoyed performers' performance, while Izuku finds himself fascinated and entranced by Ai's stage presence and this made him wondering on whether to meet her or not, as he finds himself interested in meeting her, something that this feeling is similar to meeting the popular pro hero All Might.
Meanwhile, one of the audience members is having a blast watching the performance, though this one is FLOATING in the air while waving a pair of LIGHTED BARS when the B-Komachi members were performing a minute ago. It was a teenage girl who appeared to be two years older than Izuku, in which she is described as a fair-skinned girl of average height with wide, curious eyes. Her upper eyelashes are long and thick, and her irises are a royal blue.
Her hair is periwinkle, and it reaches all the way down to her knees, twisting around itself at her waist and curving inwards around her legs. She has side-swept bangs, tucked behind her ears on the right and hanging just over her eyes on the left, and two short clumps of hair on either side of her face, curved towards her face on the right and behind it, under her ear, on the left.
She is identified as Nejire Hado, and she too expressed a child-like innocent desire to meet Ai Hoshino, as she wanted to get more than her autograph.
"Ne, ne…now I really want to meet her in person…and ask if it's possible to become an idol while attending UA Academy and work as an intern at the same time…"

Hope you liked this opening chapter, as it features Midoriya spending his ordinary life at school, though for some reason he has been feeling emotionally detached due to spending most of his life getting physically and emotionally abused by others because he was born Quirkless…
But Midoriya seem to find solace after getting a chance in witnessing an idol group performing live, which he got entranced upon seeing Ai Hoshino perform, which would set the wheels of fate in motion…
Moreover, Nejire Hado makes a brief cameo at the end of this chapter where she too got entranced by Ai's performance, and this would foreshadow what would happen in the upcoming chapters…
