Most people could never have imagined Xenomorphs would be loose again on the streets. Not after the long and bloody war that humans had with the Xenomorphs. The war has been over for quite some time now. A tremendous amount of resources and manpower went to that fight. Yet here and now Subjects 109 to 112 are sitting on the roof of a 5-story building.
It was 9:30 pm on a dark night with a frigid temperature of 45 degrees Fahrenheit. The four Xenomorphs were located at 161 Mohawk Street in the South Benson area. This area has a moderate crime rate with NYPD focusing on tackling a high robbery rate.
The block was mostly empty with the exception of three people. A white lady around 5ft 8 inches was walking north on Mohawk Street. She was wearing a black Skully hat with long blonde hair sticking out, a black and white mink fur coat, raccoon fur mittens, dark blue denim jeans, and black short winter boots.
Two men clad in black from head to toe were following her around. One was following behind her, the other was walking down the block toward her. They had every intention of robbing this woman. They figured with that fur coat she had on she gotta be packing. But that was all based on an assumption.
She was looking up the block spotting the first man heading toward her. After observing him she noticed he was staring at her. In addition to him having his right hand in his right jacket pocket. Having the feeling he was up to something she turns around. Only to spot the other man coming her way as well.
The man coming from the North started running towards her. He was determined to get this woman. His partner coming from the South was now running as well. The situation was now getting dangerous for the woman. She grew tense and took the first left she saw sprinting ahead. Upon looking down her path it turned out to be a dead-end alleyway. Her heartbeat increased rapidly from the adrenaline.
Both men came into the alleyway quickly like wolves hunting prey. They blocked her path preventing her immediate escape. The alleyway was also poorly lit with a few automated bright lights. She managed to avoid tripping on anything as there were a few trash and recycle bins around. It was relatively clean for the most part.
The woman was trapped and she watched them close in on her. There was nowhere for her to go at all. Little did they know four creatures far more dangerous above them. Those two men were easy prey and sitting ducks. Subjects 109 to 112 were just observing the situation below. They had time to study and observe human behavior while they did their dirty work for Shadow Strike, and while in training. Books did help but not in comparison to real-world experience and interaction.
The man on her left pulled out a pocket 9mm pistol from his right jacket pocket. Next, he aims the pistol at her as he got more than close enough.
"Do not move darling. Do as your told and this will be over soon enough," he spoke in a cold tone.
His partner in crime pulls out a 10-inch folding knife from his left jacket pocket and opens it after. He goes right up to her putting the knife to her throat. What made it worst was that he licked her left cheek. "Mmmm, tasty. I might just have fun with you before I leave," he spoke in a dark tone.
"Come on Mike just get her stuff so we can go man. Let's not waste any time I got a bad feeling," he said in a hasty tone. The man just wanted this to be over quickly so they can go. A simple catch and release was his aim these days. Despite knowing this was wrong he did not care as long as he got something. Never had an honest bone in his body so why do right?
Subject 109 communicates to the others via telepathy "We had plenty of time to study humans from what we could see. This man is about to do robbery and sexual assault. She clearly needs help ill take care of this."
"No! Do not interfere let things take their course. You owe this female nothing We are experiencing freedom for the first time. Why bother helping any humans?" Subject 110 retorted.
The other two did not have anything to say in the matter and just let them two talk it out. If they wished to respond then they would do so freely.
"You are correct I owe this female nothing. Im partly responsible for deaths of my own kind. Not proud of that but I have come to realize not all humans are bad. We are capable of much more than that. And besides ive taken an interest in this Criminal Justice System of theirs. Do not fully understand it yet. Mike here is a sicko and who knows how many times he has done this. Can use this to our advantage." Subject 109 responded while standing up and going to the ledge.
Subject 110 had nothing more to say to him since she was not gonna convince him otherwise. She was biased due to the treatment she received. But truth be told they captured her alive and could have killed her.
Mike uses his free hand to search her pockets thoroughly. He took her wallet, cell phone, and a loose wad of bills. That was all he was able to get that was valuable to him. The man used the same hand to grope between her legs firmly. Sexual assault was the last thing he wanted to do. "Take it easy Franky we got this man."
The woman was scared and panicking as she was being inappropriately touched. "Please…. Take what you have and go….. I got nothing else for you." was all she could say.
Subject 109 jumped down and landed in a large pool of water in between the three. The water was deep enough to cover some of the noise. There he stood almost 9 feet tall towering over the two men. He was wearing a standard-issue Urban Camo Shadow Strike uniform. The uniform was custom-made to fit him specifically due to his size. On the left upper arm was a black patch. In the middle of the patch was a white Xenomorph Skull. Above the skull in black letters "United States Army" Below the skull in black letters it read "Xenomorph Special Forces"
The right patch was black with a light blue pair of crosshairs. Above the crosshairs in light blue, it read "Shadow Strike" Below the crosshairs it read "Armed Forces" His uniform was neat and pristine as Todd taught him to be a proper soldier. Neat appearance was an important part of being a soldier.
On his torso, he wore a custom-fitted level 4 body armor that was made up of a light titanium alloy. Beneath the titanium were spaced-out ceramic discs designed to break up bullets and fragments. The armor was not meant to defeat heavy rounds, or heavy explosives. Attached to the armor were various pouch sizes for different things.
On his back a was Fenris Assault Rifle which came with an infrared laser/ laser designator module, custom vertical grip, adjustable stock, flared mag well, Electronic Acog scope, and a suppressor. Along his left hip was a Falcon C9 pistol that came with an infrared laser sight module, reflex sight, flared mag well, suppressor, and extended magazine. He also had various grenade types on his vest in designated spots.
Franky heard the drop and his heart skipped a beat as he had a bad feeling. He turned around real slow keeping his weapon up. And what he saw was a tall Alien that looked menacing. The man's eyes widened as he took in that terrifying sight. All that gear Subject 109 just added to Franky's fear. His heart rate was going up rapidly. A common thing to occur when you're looking at something that frightening. "Oh shit!" was all he could say.
Mike took his attention away from the woman and turned around to see what was going on. And he laid eyes upon a monster he had never seen before causing him to widen them. His heart also started going up rapidly from the fear of what was before him. The man's jaw dropped and he uttered "Ohh hel…." was all he could get out before he felt something plunged into his chest.
Subject 109 wasted no time in swinging his tail overhead and stabbing the man deep into his chest. That unique axe-bladed tail easily pierced flesh and bone. He hisses aloud grilling the other man as he flashed his sharp silver teeth with that drool dripping down. The male xenomorph was clearly not happy with their behavior and, treatment toward this woman.
The poor woman was terrified seeing what was taking place before her. She slid down the wall and lays there splayed out. Her eyes widened as the scene was unfolding. There was nothing that she could do but watch.
Mike gagged and coughs up alot of blood from the internal bleeding and trauma. He was coughing on his own blood and within a few moments he slumps over out cold and was fading away. His heart was pretty much damaged beyond repair from the impact. His days of being a criminal are now over and he would not rob anyone again.
Franky freaked out and fired his weapon at Subject 109 for the loss of his friend. "Mike! Mike! You motherfucker!" he yells. All of his rounds were hitting but did absolutely nothing to the Alien. His shots echoed through the area. That would surely wake up whoever was not paying attention. The man was going nuts and lost his mind. Anyone nearby inside would have been scared and going for cover.
Subject 109 focused on the man listening to his heartbeat. And he heard a low heartbeat. Removes his axe blade from his chest letting the body drop with a thud. Mike's body lands face down on the ground. Getting shot multiple times at this point annoyed him. This criminal's pea shooter did absolutely nothing to harm him. He wasted no further time bringing that axe toward Franky's neck swiftly. Cuts his neck open severing his l common artoid artery which was fatal.
Frank gags dropping his weapon while grabbing his neck. He collapses on the ground trying to hold onto his life. But he would not be living to the next day. Red blood leaked from his hands like a live water fountain onto his clothes and the ground.
Subject 109 immediately goes to the wall and starts climbing fast. The threats were neutralized and, it was time to get out of there. Her life was saved and she knew that for sure. But she would not be recovering for some time. The woman could tell what she was looking at but would not be able to process that properly till she recovered. He climbed until he was on the roof again and out of sight.
All the shots fired were picked up by acoustic sensors on rooftops spread out over a radius. The system that picked them up was called Shot Detector System. Data from the shots were sent to the Shot Detector HQ located at Three Police Plaza in the same plaza as NYPD's HQ and Academy. Sophisticated machines analyzed the sounds and after a complete analysis within a minute, it determined it was a Ruger 9mm pistol. This information was relayed to NYPD dispatch. Dispatch then relays that information to units in the field.
A man in direct proximity inside 161 Mohawk Street called 911 and waited for the ringtone.
Dispatcher: "New York City 911 do you need police, medical, or fire?"
911 Caller: "Police hurry please." the man spoke.
Dispatcher: "What is the address?"
911 Caller: "161 Mohawk Street, South Benson, 11295, is an alleyway to the right of the building. The streets in between are Heart Avenue and Grayson Street" the man answers.
Dispatcher: "Alright what is the emergency, sir?"
911 Caller: "Multiple shots fired an unknown amount of shooters."
Dispatcher: " How many shots? Any injured?"
911 Caller: "Ten shots fired. Unknown if any injured. Just hold on a moment." the man spoke and went to his side window and looked out there. There he spotted two people and a woman against the wall. "Yeah, there's a woman layed against the wall on the ground. Two other people on the ground can't tell their gender. They are not moving much at all so send EMS."
Dispatcher: "One moment sir." The dispatcher inputs the information into cad and puts the call out on the air. They also call up the EMS dispatcher number.
EMS Dispatcher: "This is Operator 182 EMS Dispatch."
Dispatcher: "Operator 182 this is Operator 103. I have a Medical emergency in Manhattan. The job number is 250. The caller is on the line."
EMS Dispatcher: "Operator 103 thank you. Hello caller?"
911 Caller: "Yes I'm here."
EMS Dispatcher: "I just want to make sure it is 161 Mohawk Street in Manhattan. Correct?"
911 Caller: "Correct."
EMS Dispatcher: "Anyone injured that you can see?"
911 Caller: "I saw a woman and two other people on the ground not moving much. Not sure what their injuries are. And I'm not going out there."
Dispatcher: "What is your name sir?"
911 Caller: "My name is Jason."
Dispatcher: "What is your number Jason?"
911 Caller: "Number is 347-834-1682."
Dispatcher: "347-834-1682."
911 Caller: "Correct."
EMS Dispatcher: "Thank you sir. Stay safe and call back if anything else happens."
911 Caller: "Will do thank you."
Dispatcher: "Thank you bye now."
EMS Dispatcher: "Bye-bye now."
Police arrived within 5 minutes of that call being put out. Once they determined no threat was there they called EMS in. FDNY EMTs declared the suspects dead no medical aid was needed. The woman was being looked at on scene by FDNY paramedics. NYPD's crime scene unit came to the crime scene and started their investigation and evidence collection.
Detective Blake went through the crime scene analyzing it to get a good picture of what might have happened. The one guy got off ten shots before having his neck cut open. The artoid artery was severed and the perp bled out in a few minutes. There was evidence of bullet ricochets on a few surfaces. Other perp died from heart damage and intensive bleeding made by a melee weapon.
Sergeant Dale with the 19th precinct approached the detective who was standing near the perp whose neck was cut open. "Detective Blake hope you are doing well. What we got here so far?" he spoke in a cordial tone while looking at him.
Detective Blake a fair skin toned man stood around 5ft 8 with blonde curly hair. He was wearing a black polyester suit with a grey shirt, black tie, and a pair of black croc shoes. Upon hearing Dale's voice he turns to face him responding with his southern voice "Im doing alright Sarge. This guy here got off 10 shots from his Ruger 9mm. Now whoever he fired at tanked all the rounds and then proceeded to cut his neck open with a melee weapon. Whoever cut his neck open might have been wearing body armor. But being this close you would think the person would have gotten shot or something right?"
"Yes they would have been shot at some point" he responded looking down at perp 2's body. Takes out his flashlight off his duty belt and shines it around the area. Did not find any evidence of any other blood at all. "No other blood here at all? All you found was his and the other guy's?" Dale spoke.
Blake nods a few times "Yeah only their blood on one else's. The woman was in too much shock even to speak much. We managed to confirm they tried to rob her. I still do not understand how this mysterious savior kills Perp 1 while under fire. The guy with the gun is the bigger threat. Then proceeds to kill Perp 2. They had no id on them so gotta run prints. Whoever this person is is someone I would want on my team. All the bullets he fired ricocheted which leads me to believe this savior was fully armored. No idea what kind of gear it is but it is possibly military-grade. The poor guy did not get his full clip off. Still had five shots left. But if the gear is military grade his 9mm rounds would not have saved him anyway. They went for killing blows not disabling. So they set out to kill these two." he responded with a soft sigh.
"Wish we had a camera catching the scene here. But they chose to do this in an alleyway. Generally it is not normal for an alleyway to have cameras. Yes the guy with the gun is the bigger threat. Unless the woman was in imminent danger. They had to have been a distance away before closing in unless they were military or something else." Dale replied and puts his flashlight away again.
"Yeah the crooks met their end tonight So they will no longer be committing crimes. I'm curious to find out what they were killed by. Still gotta comb over this entire alleyway to find evidence. The killer left nothing behind from what we can see. So they do not want to be found. As of yet at least. Will find out more once the woman can be seen. Her name is Patty. Gonna head over to the ambulance now to talk to her. I'll need ya there with me. Let's go."
Sergeant Dale and Detective Blake head over to the Ambulance. Patty was being looked over by paramedics inside. Blake asks the Paramedics to vacate the Ambulance to which they comply. "Miss Patty Im Detective Blake with the NYPD this is Sergeant Dale. I know you went through a terrifying experience. I just need to ask you a few questions if your up for it." he spoke in a calm empathetic manner making eye contact with her. Blake takes out a note pad and pen to take notes.
Patty takes off her oxygen mask with her left hand and looks at the detective still shaking some. "Ask your questions detective?" she responds in a normal tone.
"Start from the beginning. What happened Patty?" Blake asks.
"I was on my way home from dinner with friends. Left the place at about 9pm. Took me about half an hour to get to Mohawk Street. While walking up the street i noticed a guy coming down the block. He did not look right at all so I turned around. Only to spot another guy coming up the block again he was suspect as well. Made the first left…. i saw and it was to an alleyway. A critical mistake on my part…" she spoke pausing a few moments to steady her shaking right hand. It was really traumatic what she went through. After the few moments passed she continues.
"They cornered me like wolves hunting for prey. I backed up till I was against the brick wall. Mikey is the one that had his knife against my throat. And what made it worst… This man had the balls… to lick my cheek….Took my belongings out my pockets. I saw something drop behind them."
Blake raised his left eye brow as he was curious to hear what that something was. This is what would tell him about the killer. Whether he would believe her or not is a different matter. But she was a victim so he would have to accept it for what it was. "What did you see drop behind them?" he asked.
Dale stood there quiet just listening to what Patty was saying. He was here to back Blake up and only step in when needed. Blake was taking notes as she spoke to them.
"It was a giant black being. Taller than the two of them and it had body armor on. Banana shaped head. That is what I saw. It took down Mike very quickly. Franky the other guy he went down to after having his neck sliced open. Was all over in a matter of moments." Patty continued before stopping.
Blake and Dale looked at each other like they were thinking the same thing. Both of them knew what she described as a Xenomprh. But there was no possible way that could be true. None the less Blake puts down his notepad and pen in the ambulance and, reaches into his left jacket pocket pulling out his police issued phone. Unlocks it with his code and pulls up a Xenomorph pic and shows it to her. It was indeed a standard looking warrior xenomorph. Shows it to her while asking "Is this what you saw Patty?"
Patty nods her head "I saw that being but this one was different. Had long hair like dread locks. Was alot bulkier and it used an Axe to kill them both." she responded.
"Wait did you say dread locks? It killed them both with an axe? Anything else about this being you can tell us?" Blake asked in response.
"Yes I said dread locks. Killed them both with an axe on the tip of it's tail. It saved my life but that is what I saw. Im glad these two ass holes are dead. Rotten men got what they deserved. Thats all I have to say officer."
Dale looked at the woman and questioned her again "Patty are you absolutely sure that was what you saw? Were talking about a being that has not been seen on the streets in a long time." He wanted to be sure that this woman was clear on what she saw.
Patty sighs heavily closing her eyes for a few moments thinking about the scene again. And the memory replays and she sees the being once again. She is not crazy and knows what she saw. Opens her eyes and looks directly at Dale with a serious face "I know what i saw! Im a victim of an attempted crime. Those two guys tried to rob me. One of them licked my face! Like he was some got damn predator. This area that I live in has a high robbery rate. So officer i suggest you get on that. Now am I free to go. Detective Blake." she spoke with a annoyed tone.
"Your free to go might contact you later if needed. Again sorry for what you went through. Not much more we can do since the crooks were taken care of. Cannot have a vigilante running around though. Take care Miss Patty." Detective Blake replied in a calm tone and finishes up his notes before walking away along with Sergeant Dale.
"Dale she confirmed it was a got damn Xenomorph. Gotta put her statement on file man. But there is no proof of this as far as I know.
