"Here, honey, you can sleep in my bed tonight. I'll get my sleeping bag." Craig said, adjusting his blankets and pillows for Tweek. "Wait here, I'll be right back."
Tweek slowly lay his head on the pillow and just stared at the plastic glowing stars above him. He turned to his side to see Stripe starting to bury himself in his hay. Tweek gave the Guinea pig a sweet smile.
Soon, Craig was back with a mug of hot liquid in his hands for Tweek.
"Is that coffee!?!" Tweek gasped.
"No, it's chamomile tea. It has melatonin in it so it should help you sleep."
Tweek slowly took the mug from Craig and took a few sips. It was surprisingly good.
"Thanks Craig" he said. His boyfriend smiled warmly at him.
Even with the tea, Tweek had trouble sleeping that night. He was obviously exhausted, but his anxiety was keeping him up.
He rolled over to meet his boyfriend who was laying on the ground next to him.
"Craig? I'm feeling really tired and anxious. Would it be okay if you..um… slept next to me? Up here?"
Craig turned to look at his boyfriend and just smiled.
"Of course honey"
He got up and slowly made his way next to Tweek, who almost immediately relaxed, draping his arms around him. Craig noticed Tweek was cold, and shaking slightly. He figured it was just nerves, so he tried falling asleep, hoping a good night's rest would fix things and then hopefully Tweek won't need coffee in the morning.
Oh how wrong he was. The next morning Tweek couldn't get up at all. He was like a corpse, which Craig assumed was a good thing since he needed the rest, but he was in such a deep sleep he wasn't responding at all.
Laura came upstairs to take his temperature. He was cold and shivering. Laura and Thomas thought it would be best for Tweek to stay with them. Thomas called Richard Tweak, explaining Tweek seemed to be sick but all he said was that he just needed his morning coffee.
When Craig heard that he insisted Tweek couldn't go back to his parents until they figured out what was wrong.
Laura offered to take Tweek to the doctor for a quick checkup, and Craig insisted on coming along.
"So when did this all start?" the doctor asked.
"A few hours after he stopped drinking coffee" Craig replied.
"Hmm, and you say he's claiming the lack of coffee is the reason he's like this?"
"Yes!"
"Hm, fatigue, anxiety, irritability, chills, and you say he couldn't sleep at all last night but this morning it was almost impossible to wake him up?"
Craig nodded.
The doctor looked over his notes again, scratching his head. "Well it's unlikely, but just in case we should have some blood work done."
Craig looked confused. Just in case what?
Tweek snapped awake at that. He hated needles and the sight of blood. Especially his own.
Craig could tell Tweek was starting to panic so he squeezed his hand tighter, and Laura gently stroked his hair.
"It's okay sweetie. You're okay" she said gently.
Tweek shut his eyes tight and let the doctor take his blood.
"Go ahead" he said, bracing himself.
"Actually we've been done for a while now" the doctor replied, and Tweek opened his eyes.
"I'll be right back. You're probably perfectly fine but we just need to make sure. You know how it is"
Tweek started to calm down, taking shaky deep breaths, until the doctor returned and he started to worry again. The doctor's facial expression was not reassuring. It looked like a mix of confusion and horror.
"I..got your test results back but..this can't be right" he said
Laura, Tweek, and Craig looked at him with concern.
"Oh god is it aids!?!?" Tweek exclaimed. The others looked at him with concern. "…Well Cartman got aids that one time?"
The doctor just shook his head. "No no, it's not aids. But, son, your blood is laced with almost 70 milligrams of methamphetamine. Aka crystal meth. You were experiencing withdrawals"
Tweek, Craig, and Laura could only let out a horrified gasp in response.
"N-no that's impossible!" Craig exclaimed. "You must've brought black someone else's blood! Tweek, tell him he made a mistake!"
Tweek could only stare in horror. He started to hyperventilate and pull on his hair to which Craig grabbed his hands.
"Did you hear me!? Run the test again! This is a mistake!" Craig yelled.
"Son, I was just as shocked as you are. I redid the test multiple times but it came back the same every single time. Your friend here is a meth addict"
Laura held her hands to her face and started to cry. Craig doesn't cry often, but seeing his mom and his boyfriend like that broke him. He couldn't hold back his tears.
"Where would he even get meth?!?!" he yelled. "We're twelve!!"
"I think you need to call his parents"
