She had been trying to tell him for the past few days. But every time she was about to say something, someone interrupted them. The first time was a few nights ago when they were planning on watching a movie. He had gone to the video store to pick out some movies while she had stayed at home and made them a big bowl of popcorn. 'Should this be the night I tell him?' she thought to herself. Things had calmed down a little now that Sam and Hank's running off to get married was over and done with. She knew of course that Tony was still having trouble with everything but he had accepted the fact that Samantha was an adult and if she wanted to get married there wasn't much he could do to stop her. Especially when Sam said being without Hank was like Tony being without her.

"Dad, look I love Hank okay? And I can't imagine not being with him. It's hard to explain. I don't know how to…." She looked over at Angela and then back to her Dad. "It's like you being without Angela. Can't you understand that?" Angela remembered her eyes filling with tears when Tony looked at her. She knew then that Tony had to accept that the wedding was going to happen. As he had told her later that night when they were alone, if Sam couldn't imagine being without Hank like he couldn't imagine being without her then there was no doubt in his mind that she loved him.

'Maybe my news will help. I know he'll be over the moon when he hears it. At least I hope so.' She bit her lip. 'Okay Angela when he gets back from the video store you need to tell him!'

She gathered up a couple cans of soda, a couple of glasses, and the popcorn and went into the living room. She placed them all on the coffee table and laid back on the couch and gathered the blanket around her knees. A few moments later the front door opened and Tony walked in carrying a bag.

"Okie Dokie Angelina! I've got Aliens. I've got City Slickers. And I got The Way We Were. What do you want to do? Scream? Laugh? Or Cry?"

"I think cry."

"Oh good! That sounds like fun!" He gave her a packet of tissues and took out a box for himself. She smiled to herself and shook her head. "Well when I tell him my news I'm sure he'll need it.'

She took a deep breath.

"Tony, there's something I need to tell you." she said fiddling with her Kleenex packet.

Tony put the video in the VCR and sat back down. He turned toward her and noticed she seemed a little distracted.

"Is there something wrong?"

"No, not wrong. Just a little surprising."

"Okay. So what is it?"

"Well I'm…."

DING DONG!

"AH! I'm sorry sweetheart. Look I'll get rid of whoever this is and we can talk okay?"

Angela nodded and they got up and walked over to the door. When he opened it and she saw it was Sam and Hank she knew there was no way she would be able to tell Tony tonight. Tony of course was thrilled to see Sam- and she was too- but why did Sam and Hank have to pick tonight of all nights to visit them?! This was just like the time she was going to tell Tony that she loved him after talking with Dr Bellows and Sam had burst in telling them that Elvis's step-sister had food poisoning. 'Well once again Sam interrupts a pivotal moment between her Father and me. Ok, she doesn't do it on purpose it just happens but still.." She quietly shook herself out of her musings and greeted Sam and Hank and asked how they were. They said that they were great but needed a place to stay for the night since they were kicked out of the dorm. Tony of course had to gloat by telling them that they didn't think this marriage thing through. But Sam informed them that they would be moving into the married couple's dorm the next day. Tony was surprised that they didn't go to Hank's parents first since they had a brand new house and when Sam informed them that they had, Tony was shocked and upset.

"YOU WENT TO THEM FIRST?!" and then after a little back and forth where Hank told them that his dad had started ragging on him about quitting medical school to become a puppeteer Angela knew the right thing to do was to invite Sam and Hank to stay for the night. And after they got their bags and were settled in Sam's old room Tony and her sat back down on the couch to watch The Way We Were. She knew then she couldn't tell him her news. He was too distracted by Sam and Hank being upstairs. So, she told herself she would tell him later when they were in bed.

LATER THAT NIGHT:

Tony and Angela were lying in bed both grumpy and out of sorts. Every time she started telling him her news he would interrupt her and complain about Sam and Hank laughing, giggling, and squeaking.

"UGH! What in the world is so funny? And that squeaking is driving me crazy!" he grumbled.

"I know it is. But let's try and forget it okay?"

Tony sighed. "I wish I could. "

"Tony, do you remember earlier when I wanted to tell you something?"

"What?" he asked distractedly.

"I wanted to tell you something!" she reminded him.

"Oh. Oh yeah. is it?" he asked with his eyes on the bedroom door glaring at it as if it were responsible for everything. She knew then she might as well forget telling him, He was too preoccupied by the thought that his daughter-his barely twenty year old daughter-was spending the night across the hall with her husband.

"Oh never mind." she sighed.

"No, wait. I'm sorry. Please tell me." He sat up and turned towards her.

"Okay. Tony I'm…"

SQUEAK!

Tony growled and leapt off the bed. "That does it! I'm going to take care of this once and for all!" He stormed out of the room and a few minutes later she heard Sam asking Tony what he was doing. Angela got up and walked out into the hall and saw Tony taking Sam's door off the hinges. He put it in his old room and then turned towards them.

"Okay, now maybe we can get some sleep."

"Dad, I don't believe you just did that!"

"Well believe it Missy!"

"Tony!" Angela shook her head.

"Look you two the squeaking was driving me nuts! I'll oil it tomorrow and put the door back. But, for now let's just get some sleep."

"Fine!" Sam rolled her eyes and went back to her room.

Angela did the same and went back to bed. She crawled under the covers and waited for Tony. After a few moments he crawled in beside her.

"Oh Angela. Weren't you going to tell me something?"

"It's. I'll tell you tomorrow."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I'm sure." 'The damn moment is blown!'

"Okay then. Good night."

"Good night."

For the rest of the night Tony slept like a baby while Angela tossed and turned.

THE NEXT DAY

Angela had woken up all prepared to tell Tony her news but alas fate had other plans. Tony was already out of bed when she opened her eyes. So she threw off the covers, showered, and got dressed and headed downstairs. She pushed the swinging door open and went into the kitchen where he was busy flipping pancakes.

"Good morning." She greeted him.

He turned toward her. "Good morning."

"Sleep okay after you ripped off the newlywed's door?" she asked, one eyebrow raised.

He sighed. "I know. It was a stupid, immature thing to do. But, I slept like a baby!" he chuckled.

"Well lucky for them they're leaving today and you and I can get back to the we were. If you catch my drift." she said sultry putting her arms around his neck.

"Oh do I ever. I love the way we were." They started kissing but Jonathan interrupted them complaining about them kissing and threatening to take this door off and kitchen health codes.

"Get out!" . After Jonathan left Tony grinned at Angela. "Well one kid gone two to go!"

'YES! And then maybe I can finally tell you my news!'

Angela smiled back and they gave each other a quick peck and she walked over to the table and sat down just as Sam and Hank came in. She could tell by Sam's expression she wasn't happy. Angela really couldn't blame her. Tony had been a little out of line by removing the door but now that Sam and Hank were going to leave today and move into the married couples dorm maybe everything would get back to normal and she could finally tell Tony her news.

RNG! RING!

Angela got up to answer it and found out it was for Sam. Sam said she would take it in the living room so she could have some: PRIVACY! Tony told Hank that Sam was his problem now and went back to flipping the pancakes. He flipped one to Hank just as Sam came back in. She told them that there was no married housing available and that since they couldn't go back to Joe and Fran's, Tony invited them to stay a while longer. Neither Angels nor Sam were happy-for different reasons- but Angela knew if she said no Tony wouldn't be happy and the bottom line was they did need a place to stay. So she reluctantly said yes and Hank said they would stay only until they found their own place.

"And not a second more!" Sam grumbled and glared at Tony.

'From your lips to God's ears.' Angela thought and took a sip of her orange juice.

After she got home from work Angela was all prepared to finally tell Tony her news. But when she entered the house and called for him there wasn't any answer. She then saw a note on the table behind the couch which said that Tony and Hank were out and would be back later. She sighed and sat down on the couch and put City Slickers into the VCR. Tony had told her earlier that he would watch it with her so she started fast forwarding to the good parts. Sam came in and sat down beside her and told her that as soon as Hank came back they were going to go look at an apartment. Angela was beyond thrilled to have them leave-maybe a little too much judging by Sam's expression- but she couldn't help herself. She loved Sam and she knew how difficult it must be being newly married and still in college but she had waited years to finally be alone with Tony. Of course Jonathan was still living there but he would be going away to college soon himself and soon it would just be Tony and her and…

The front door opened and Tony and Hank walked in. Sam got all excited and wanted to go see the apartment but Tony told her not to bother because it was a dump. Livid, Sam grabbed Hank's hand and they went upstairs. Angela wasn't feeling much better since they had almost had Sam and Hank out of there but of course Tony had to stick his nose in where it didn't belong.

"Darn we were so close you know?" Tony shrugged his shoulders.

"Yes, weren't we?"

Angela told him that she had been wanting to spend time alone with him. Tony said that he did too and they walked upstairs hand in hand.

'Maybe now I can finally tell him!'

They were just rounding the corner when they heard Sam yelling and Hank leaving the bedroom. Sam slammed the door-Tony had put it back on earlier and Hank sheepishly told them she had kicked him out. Tony said he could sleep in his old room. Angela and Tony went into their bedroom and closed the door.

"Tony, I'm really glad we're alone. There's something that I need to…"

Tony sighed and sat down on the bed. "Oh boy I can't believe this!"

"What?"

"What do you mean, what?! Sam and Hank!"

"Oh. Look Tony, they're adults and they're married. So how about we let them work it out for themselves?"

Tony shook his head. "I'm sorry. But, I can't." He got up. "I'm going to go talk to Hank. " He turned towards her: "Why don't you go talk to Sam?"

Angela sighed. "Fine!" She got up as well and they left and went into Sam and Hank's respective rooms A little while later Mona and Jonathan joined them and they too got involved in Sam and Hank's drama. Sam was all upset about Hank not coming to see her that she started whining about finally finding the person you wanted to be with but not being able to be alone with them because someone kept butting in.
At that Angela exploded on her letting her frustrations the last few days get the better of her.

Sam apologized and told her that she would make it up to her. Angela thanked her and said good night and went back to her bedroom.

'When Tony comes to bed I will tell him!'

Alas Tony didn't come back to bed until much later and Angela was already fast asleep.

THE NEXT DAY:

Tony ran down the stairs complaining about oversleeping and wanting to know where Sam and Hank were. Angela told him that they were in the kitchen talking and to leave them alone. Tony shushed her and put his ear to the door so he could listen.

"Tony please! I need to talk to you!"

Tony sighed and stepped away from the door.

"Ok what is it?"

"I'm..'

DING DONG!

"I guess I better see who it is." Tony said and walked over to open it. Angela followed behind him grumbling all the way. Joe and Fran were on the front porch arguing and Tony invited them in. Joe and Fran sat down on the couch just as Sam and Hank came out of the kitchen smiling with their arms wrapped around each other. It was obvious Sam and Hank were okay so Tony decided that Joe and Hank should patch things up too.

"Hey kids sit down. Hank, since you and Sam have made up, how about we straighten things between you and your Dad?"

"I guess we can try." Hank said as they sat down

"Tony please. Let them handle this. I really need to talk to you!"

"Angela please not now! Can't you see I'm busy!" He turned his attention back to the others and once again started butting in.

Joe told them that if they wanted to stay at their house it would be fine and sam graciously accepted.

"NO WAY!" Hank told her.

"Wait! Why not?"

'Because he'll be nice for a couple of days and then he'll start all over again!"

With that Joe and Hank started bickering and before they all knew it Joe, Fran, Tony, Sam,. and Hank started arguing with each other. Mona and Jonathan came in through the back patio door amidst all the shouting. They looked at each other and shook their heads.

'I knew they just should have shacked up!" Jonathan told Mona.

"JONATHAN!" Tony growled at went back to arguing with the others.

"Tony! Please. I need to tell you something!" Angela pleaded for him to listen to her.

Tony rolled his eyes. "Angela, we'll talk later. I'm a little busy right now. Whatever you need to say can wait. This is important!" he said gesturing to everyone in the room.

"FOR GOD'S SAKE TONY I'M PREGNANT!"

Everyone stopped arguing and looked over at Angela, their mouths hanging open in shock. Angela stalked up the stairs in frustration and a minute later they heard the door slamming.

"Did she just say what I think she did?" Mona asked, going over to the chair near the kitchen and collapsing into it.

"She did. I can't believe it." Sam said. After a few moments Mona and Sam started smiling.

"Oh this is wonderful!" Mona cheered.

"It is! Hey Tony, did you have any idea?" Jonathan asked as he sat down on the arm of the chair next to Mona.

"What?" Tony was clearly in his own little world.

"Dad, I think you should go and talk to Angela."

"Yeah, I guess I should." He started walking up the stairs growing more and more shocked by each step he took.

'She's pregnant. Angela is pregnant. Well she kept saying she needed to talk to you and you kept blowing her off or getting involved in everyone else's problems you jerk!'

He was going to make it up to her right now!

He entered their bedroom and saw her sitting on her side of the bed crying.

"Oh sweetheart I'm…"

"Why are you here?! Shouldn't you be downstairs solving everyone's problems?!" She glared at him and blew her went into the bathroom and threw the tissue away and came back out, She leaned against the door frame, crossed her arms, and continued glaring at him

"So how are you feeling?"

"You mean besides wanting to strangle you with my bare hands?!"

"I guess I deserved that." He walked over to her.

"Yeah, I guess you do."

"Sweetheart, please let's sit down and we can talk about this okay?" he held his hand out. After a brief hesitation she slipped her hand in his and they sat back down on the bed.'

"This wasn't how I wanted to tell you."

"I know. Angela. I am so sorry. I know the last few days you kept saying you wanted to tell me something but I kept blowing you off or getting involved in Sam and Hank's problems. Can you ever forgive me?"

Angela looked at him. His eyes and voice were filled with love and sincerity.

"Well, do you promise for now on if I say I need to talk to you you won't blow me off?"

"I promise!" He picked her hand up and kissed her palm.

"Okay, I forgive you."

Tony smiled and leaned in and kissed her.

"I don't believe this! We're going to have a baby!" he shouted and jumped up. He started dancing, causing her to laugh.

"So I take it you're happy?"

"Happy? Angela this is the best news ever! Come here! He held out his hand and once again she slipped her hand in his and he pulled her up off the bed. He spun her around and they started dancing.

"Tony, what about them?"

"Forget them! All I want to do is dance with the love of my life and our baby. "He placed his hand on her stomach and gently caressed it.

And danced they did along with a lot of smiling.
