Luna and Artemis felt like ordinary feline parents with six kittens in the palace, as normal cats can have four to eight kittens per litter. Yet that depends on the cat's experience and overall health. Also, initially distrustful of their homo sapien appearances, Elizabeth, Rose, and Quartz seemed to gradually become more comfortable with being human if they had to.
Elizabeth spent her days playing with Diana or her charges (Jewel, Dawn, and Shadow.) Comet had agreed to assist Quartz in controlling his anger, along with Christen, Ariel, Emily, and Trisha's help. Asteroid utilized his time to help Rose understand how to play chess. He had Crystal coaching as the new, young kitten had a difficult time.
However, Luna decided she should take a few days off to spend with her daughters. At the same time, Artemis should do the same with his sons. "I don't have anything in common with my son! Furthermore, Luna, I don't even know what Quartz likes aside from fighting," Artemis griped to his mate.
"This isn't about us. It's about them! Even if you aren't interested in the same things, try being supportive!" Luna admonished her mate.
"Ugh..." Artemis groaned loudly. He could've attempted to defend himself. Except when it came to Luna's nagging, trying was pointless. So a week later, Luna and Artimist woke their children for their surprise bonding adventure!
"Rise and shine, girls!" Luna rounded up her female offspring.
"What time is it?" Comet yawned as it was not even light outside yet.
"We're going to Earth!" Luna announced, not answering Comet's question.
While enthusiastic, the kittens still were not quite awake. "Can we have breakfast first?" Elizabeth requested groggily.
"Of course." Luna blushed, realizing she must not rush things too much.
"Why are we going to Earth anyway, Mother?" Comet questioned as she and her siblings chowed down.
"Well, with how much you've been growing alongside the Senshi, I feel I haven't spent enough time with all of you. So, we'll be going on a bonding experience." Luna giggled.
"Mother, if I may call you that, how are we to get to Earth?" Rose asked, her innocent amber eyes wide with wonder.
Luna explained to Rose that the concealed communication center had a type of teleporter. They would use it to bring them to Elysion on Earth. After a quick rest, they need to make their way from there. Comet, Elizabeth, and Rose had never been on Earth. Or, at least, not as much as Diana. So, with King Endymion already knowing about this and once on Earth, Diana pointed out everything to her sisters until they stopped at an art museum. Together, the felines decided it best to turn human for now.
"Comet, today is for you. I thought you might enjoy taking a look through here." Luna looked at her similar-looking daughter.
While Comet shared her mother's eyes and most of her fur color, the tips of her ears, feet, and tail are white like her father's. In her human form, her four hair buns were white. Comet's brilliant red eyes glowed in happiness! She loved analyzing any art for its hidden meaning or the time and effort put into its beauty.
Unfortunately, art didn't interest the other kittens. Regardless, they were respectful and polite when asked to give their thoughts on a piece. Slightly less boring was when Luna took the girls to Rain Tree Restaurant, where there was a piano, and Comet just had to play it!
She played while they ate lunch. Rose even got up and sang while Comet played, proving that is her talent as she can carry a tune! Diana and Elizabeth even fell asleep to the dreamy sounds! Luna picked up Diana, and Rose held Elizabeth as they trekked to a hotel for their visit.
"Thank you for the experiences today, Mother. I love you." Comet murmured as she curled up to sleep, transforming back into a kitten.
"I love you too, all of you." Luna laid down close to her girls.
The next day is, obviously, Diana's turn! Unsurprisingly, Diana liked to make sweets! Always up for trying new spins on old recipes with Comet and Asteroid's supervision. Luna and the others could not help tasting Diana's creations!
"This is the greatest thing I've ever had!" Rose exclaimed in happiness.
"I like toys too, but I don't know how to make those..." Diana blushed.
"I think your candies are a better talent than toys!" Elizabeth overpraised.
"Elizabeth, sweetie, what do you like to do?" Luna questioned.
"My talent is getting in trouble..." Elizabeth commented sadly.
"What do you mean?" Luna looked alarmed at Elizabeth's somber claim.
"Spending these past two days with you has been incredible, Mom. Yet, how would it have been with my biological family? I'll never know as my mother, father, and baby twin sisters perished!" Elizabeth began sobbing.
"How?" Comet was shocked she had not heard this. She rushed over to give her little sister a warm hug to try to help her calm down.
Elizabeth was crying too much, so Diana explained, "Elizabeth's father helped her older brother escape, but he wasn't so fortunate. Elizabeth's mother tried to escape with the twins, but they didn't make it either. That left Elizabeth."
"Who would do such a heinous thing?!" Rose shouted in outrage.
"Queen Beryl," Diana replied and explained everything. Queen Beryl needed a body hastily after her defeat if she was going to survive. Those who fled were disposed of.
"Survivor's guilt," Comet concluded as the rest of the family worked on comforting Elizabeth. They repeatedly assured her it was not her fault. Elizabeth said something, but she hiccuped, messing up the pronunciation.
"What did you say, honey?" Luna crouched down to hear her better.
"Skating. I like figure skating." Elizabeth sniffled.
So, Luna took Elizabeth ice skating. Unlike Jewel, Elizabeth was a natural! Plus, she seemed happy just to be lost in her element. Back on the moon, Artemis found he could bond with Asteroid over computer games, even online chess! Quartz still wasn't the bonding type. He naturally preferred a more active lifestyle. Martial Arts!
Karate, Tai Kwon Do, boxing, and kickboxing were styles Quartz found most appealing. It's likely because of the devastating finishing moves you could perform. Artemis's bonding with Quartz could have gone better. If Quartz's muscles were anything to go by, Artemis would keep as far away from him as possible! When she returned, Luna was about to scold Artemis for his laziness until a harsh crack made her look up. Quartz just broke a board in two with a punch! Quartz looked over and smiled.
"Oh! Hi, Mother. I didn't know you were back already. Did Rose behave herself?" Quartz asked casually.
"Hello, Quartz. I just got back. Yes, Rose was a good girl." Luna tried to sound just as casual.
Quartz nodded and walked off. Some families are just odd.
