I just want to point out that this story will be different from my other Sailor Moon crossovers. This story will have a different sort of premise and characters. Meaning Sailor Mercury, Mars, Venus, and Jupiter will NOT be in this. Just an original character playing "Sailor" Moon and two new scouts with one being...
...well...you'll have to read to find out. It won't be in this episode/chapter, but it will be the next one.
Also, when Kaz was mentioning his siblings, he never mentioned their ages and there are two we never learned the names for. So, therefore, don't be mean if I have this brother's age and name wrong.
Anyway, enjoy!
~No One's POV~
She fluttered her eyes, opening them and squinting at the bright light penetrating her retinas.
That was odd. She didn't remember her lamp being so blindingly bright. At least, it wasn't when she went to bed.
She soon sat up and looked around at her surroundings. It was a rose garden full of pink roses, making the fresh scent waft into her nose. She grinned as she stood up, brushing off her outfit of any stray dirt and leaves.
...
Wait...
...this wasn't her nightgown.
It was a white dress, with little stars and moons decorating the lacy overtone. And there were white heels on her feet that sparkled in the light as her long blond hair cascaded down her back in gorgeous beach waves. It was still in her normal pigtail style high on the top of her head, but they seemed to glimmer and glow like the moon.
"Where am I?" She finally asked, hearing a giggle behind her. She spun around, seeing a silhouette of a girl with the same long hair as her, but she couldn't make out the color. She was wearing a gown instead of a dress like herself.
"Twila," The giggling voice spoke, making the blond-haired girl perk up. How did this voice know her name? Who was she?
"Hello? Who are you? How do you-?"
"Wake up...and find your team..."
"Find my team?! What does that even mean?!"
"Find your team...and remember!"
Then she woke up.
She breathed heavily as she sat up, brushing a hand through her bangs as cold sweat beaded her forehead.
She had the dream...again.
"What does the voice mean by that?" She asked, falling back onto her pillow with unanswered questions flowing in her brain like a river.
MIGHTY MOON
Episode 1: The Moon's Awakening
~Twila's POV~
Another day, another chance to be seen. Maybe I'll finally get the chance to find my mother and father!
I giggled at the thought as I stared cheerfully at my reflection, fixing my pink dress just a bit. Stopping mid-thigh with my platform knee-high heels finishing the look. I grinned, nodding in satisfaction as the children downstairs were giggling and laughing.
Tuning them out, I grabbed my brush and did my hair in my normal pigtail style, bunching them up on the top of my head and placing a hair tie to keep it in place.
However, as I stared for a moment, I thought of my dream from last night. As much as I liked my straight hair, the beach wave hair-do really stood out to me. I've always straightened my hair before putting my pigtails in. But today, I left them to be their natural wavy self.
"First day of Sophomore Year," I said, taking a deep breath. "You got this Twila."
With that, I grabbed my bag and put it over my head, letting it hang across my body before heading out. I took one step and jumped back as two little kids ran past me, laughing and having a good morning. I giggled at their excitement as I walked out of my room and headed downstairs, seeing Mrs. Grisham in the kitchen. She was making breakfast with Mr. Grisham helping her.
I smiled as he walked up behind her and put his arms around her torso from behind. He kissed her cheek and her warm smile just brightened more from his kiss alone.
I could tell they were in love. I could tell they were happy together. Yes, I've heard them fighting every once in a while, but it was rare. And a lot of couples fight. It's just natural.
But that was my wish. To find true love and a happily ever after of my own. I was only 16, so I had time to look. But I had hoped I'd find him before my 18th birthday.
"Morning, Twila," I shook myself out of my thoughts and kept on smiling. I saw Mrs. Grisham smiling at me as well. Mr. Grisham was already back to cooking the food for the kids. "How did you sleep?"
"Eh," I was honest. Mrs. Grisham knew about my crazy and weird dreams. I told her about them. But I almost didn't. I almost decided to ignore them, but eventually, they were festering and happening more often. So I had to tell someone and Mr. and Mrs. Grisham were the closest thing I had to a mom and dad ever since mine passed away.
So, I told them...and I never regretted it.
"Eh?" Mr. Grisham exclaimed. "Why eh?"
"I had the dream again," I said, taking an apple from the counter.
"You want to talk about it?" Mrs. Grisham asked.
"Not really. I've gotten used to it since it's been happening since I was 8," I answered, looking at the time. "And I don't want to be late for school."
"Wait, before you go," Mrs. Grisham exclaimed as she pulled up a small white box with a crystal blue ribbon on it from under the counter and slid it towards me. I smiled as I gently took it into my hands.
"Mrs. Grisham's first day of school gift," I said. She always did this for the kids in the foster home. Whenever we were heading into a new school year or reaching a milestone in our life, she'd give us a gift to commemorate the occasion. And becoming a Sophomore in high school sure was a big step.
"Thank you," I said before I opened up the box and inside was this beautiful silver broach with green and yellow gems surrounding a crescent moon in the center. It shined and glimmered in the lamp's light as I curled my slim fingers around it. I pulled it out of the box and stared in awe. I opened it, seeing a shimmering moonstone gem in the center of the palette as well as a mirror in the lid. Okay, so not a normal broach, but also a compact.
"Oh, Mrs. G," I began, "this is beautiful. Thank you so much." I raced around the counter and hugged her, getting a giggle in return.
"You're welcome, dear," She said. "Now, run along! You don't want to be late."
"Right," I said, giving Mr. Grisham a quick hug before saying that I'll see them later and raced out of the foster home. I had pinned my gift to my waist belt as I left.
~Kaz's POV~
One year...
One year and we still haven't found Mr. Terror (or rather Bridget) since she escaped from her own "wedding" and since she got her powers. It was like she was avoiding us...which she technically was, but that's beside the point.
"Elio..." I perked up from the counter at Mighty Med. There was that voice again!
Ever since I got my own powers of heat and fire, I had been hearing this voice calling out to someone named Elio. It almost sounded familiar, but I could never put my finger on where I heard that name before.
However...it wasn't the name that took me by surprise. It was the voice, so innocent, pure, and sweet. The regal nature of it sent a shiver down my spine as it spoke.
"Elio...find me..." I looked around, seeing a nurse with blond hair look at me. She just grinned like how a mother would to her child and waved before heading off. I grinned back before turning my gaze to the front and jumping at seeing Oliver standing there now.
"You okay, Kaz?" He asked. "You seem out of it."
"Yeah, I'm fine," I said, giving the best fake smile I could muster up. I never told him about the voice. If I had, he'd think I was crazy. "I'm just-" I stopped mid-sentence the moment I noticed the time. "Oh, crap! I'm going to be late!" I grabbed my bag and bolted for the door as I pulled out my car keys.
"Late for what?" Oliver asked.
"Unlike you and Skylar, I have to go through Senior year once more to graduate," I said. "I'll see you later tonight." And with that, I left Mighty Med and went straight for my car.
Yeah, it's no surprise that I needed to be held back for a semester. I rarely did my homework or got good grades. But I was smarter than I looked and there were only a few classes I had to retake. Like Math, Science, and History...my three LEAST favorite subjects.
"Okay," I took a deep breath as I was stopped at a red light. "I will focus. I will pass these classes and graduate." The light turned green and I was about to move on when I slammed on my breaks. A young girl, maybe 16, ran in front of my car. Her long blond pigtails blew behind her as time slowed down.
And I stared. Her smile, so beautiful. Her blue eyes, gorgeous. It almost felt like a bomb blew up in my stomach and released a ton of tiny butterflies, making them fly all around me.
Before I knew it, she passed by completely and headed down the sidewalk toward Logan High, making me shake myself out of that frenzy and grin.
"Whoa," was all I could say before I turned down that same street, heading to the high school as well.
~Twila's POV~
I raced up the campus walkway to the front entrance of the school, smiling excitedly as I saw a head of pink hair waiting for me. I squealed as I tackled her into a hug, getting laughter in return.
"Hey, Z!" I exclaimed as I pulled away. "How was Paris?"
"Oh, T, it was wonderful!" She exclaimed. "I got to see the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe! It was magical!"
"Oh, I'm so glad!" I exclaimed. Zoe had been my best friend for over 10 years. We had each other's backs and were each other's wing girls if there was a boy the other one liked. We considered ourselves 'soul sisters', because we always knew what the other was thinking.
"It just would have been so much better if I could have shared it with you," Zoe sighed, making my smile fade into a grin.
"Hey, it's fine. I have my whole life to see Paris," I said, getting us to head to the front door. "Besides, we-" But I bumped into someone, making me yelp in surprise before spinning to say I was sorry...
...when I froze.
It was a boy, with sun-kissed skin, dark brown hair, and mesmerizing brown eyes. His smile even shined as he stared at me.
"I-I'm so sorry," I said. "I'm a bit of a clutz."
"It's alright," He said. "Have a nice first day." And then he went inside. I watched him leave, my heart fluttering like a butterfly in my chest.
"Twila, you good?" Zoe asked, making me shake myself out of the spell and look toward my best friend. I smiled.
"Of course!" I said. "Now, come on! We have things to learn!"
~Unknown's POV~
...
Finally...
...I was free.
I shot my eyes open, a blaze of fire in my stomach as I looked at the mirror in front of me. I smirked. Still beautiful...still young.
"About time," I said, grabbing the scepter beside the mirror and turning to the opening of the tower. I took a few steps forward, stopping as I noticed the clock. 12 o'clock noon. That was the time that Queen Estella trapped me here...and the hands weren't moving.
"What?" I raced to the window, placing my free hand on the windowsill as a purple sheen spread out in front of my eyes. I stared, fear and anger rising in the pit of my stomach. I reached out and yelped as I pulled my hand back after being zapped.
Just as I feared...still trapped.
"No...this can't be," I said, staring at the forest of trees before me as my gaze landed on a city far past it. "Oh, Queen Estella...you'll regret this." I swung my skirt back as I turned and walked to a chipped black cauldron. "You may not even be in this time, but I know what you've done. Those soldiers, those heirs to Sole, Lune, and Terra...I can feel their presence."
I tapped my scepter on the cauldron, making it bubble to life with a red and black liquid and making the red orb on my scepter glow with a dim light. "mostro dal profondo...sorgi!"
The substance bubbled more and more before dissolving into thin air and penetrating through the shield of time. I giggled evilly, watching as it swayed through the air out of my prison.
"I will be ruler of the entire universe," I said. "I will become...Queen Pandora!"
~Kaz's POV~
Why didn't I introduce myself?! Why did I just let her bump into me and say it was okay and leave?! I'm such an idiot!
"Hey, Kaz!" I looked to the voice, seeing my younger brother Kevin walking up to me. He was 16, just starting Sophomore year. It's funny. Before my Sophomore year, I was already working for Mighty Med.
"How's your held back classes?" Kevin asked, smirking as he crossed his arms. I just gave him a look, one that said I was annoyed by them and he chuckled. "Not surprised. Those teachers from what I hear are brutal."
"Tell me about it," A female voice spoke up, making me look to see the pink-haired girl from before standing there with...her. "I just had the math teacher...good luck."
"Thanks for the warning," Kevin sighed.
"I'm Zoe," The pink-haired girl said.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Kevin and this is my older brother Kazimeras."
"Did you have to use the full name?" I said. "I go by Kaz."
"That's unique," Zoe said. "Almost like T here."
Finally...her name.
"T, huh? What's it short for then?" I asked, trying to put on my best smile. I didn't want her to think I was creepy...or needy.
"Twila," She said, making me stare in awe.
"Wow...that's really pretty," I said.
"Thanks," She returned with the smile of a princess.
I didn't know what this feeling was. I didn't understand what was going on in the pit of my stomach. I was used to falling for the shallow girls, the ones I knew I didn't stand a chance of getting with. But somehow, here I was...falling for the nice and most beautiful girl I have ever laid eyes on.
She definitely put Stephanie to shame.
I was about to say something else when a scream echoed off the walls of the school. We looked over and right in the middle of the school a...I don't even know what was standing right there! It was terrorizing the students. I heard Twila scream at the sight, making me stand in front of her in a protective stance. I did the same every now and then with my little sisters.
It roared as teens ran around, leaving the school or going to different classes to hide from the attack. As much as I hated school, I couldn't let this creature ruin it.
I had to do something.
~Twila's POV~
It had pinchers...it had fangs...it had eight eyes. Its hands looked like lobster claws and it seemed strong enough to knock out the entire football team.
It growled into the air as everyone ran in different directions. Zoe went one way, Kevin went the other while Kaz stayed put, standing in front of me in a protective stance. I looked at him, scared of what was about to happen when...
"Get to safety, Twila!" He yelled as he dropped his book bag and raced in. I went to call him to come back and hide with me, but my voice didn't work. It wouldn't work! I was so petrified by fear of this monster that I couldn't even move. Which made me see Kaz shoot a beam of fire out of his hand, only for it to not make a dent.
How did he do that?
"That's not good," He said, dodging an attack. "That's not good at all."
"Twila..." I perked up at the voice. It was the same voice from my dream. "...no time to look." There was a light coming from my side, making me look down and see the broach Mrs. Grisham gave me this morning. I unpinned it from my hip and looked at it.
"AWAKEN!" I gasped as I looked up, getting a flash of a memory. A memory from another dream of a girl in a sailor suit. Or rather...of me in a sailor suit.
I took a few breaths as I came to, seeing the monster hit Kaz away from it. He flew through the air and hit the lockers, getting knocked out instantly.
"Kaz!" I yelled, getting ready to rush up to him when the broach caught my eye again. No one else was in the school now because of this attack. Zoe and Kevin went to hide in two different locations. I could use this memory to help.
The monster roared in my direction, making me look up at it with anger in my eyes. Its growling face stared, ready to pounce when I shot my hand out in front of me.
…
I could feel it. A light inside me ignited to life. A power I didn't know I had shot through my whole body before it spewed out of the broach in my hand. It surrounded me like a ribbon, swirling around and around before it dissipated and revealed the new me.
The hero me.
I looked down at my suit, seeing it to be a white sailor suit leotard with a royal blue mini-skirt and pink bow in the back. My boots were platforms and pink as well, with a pink bow on my chest holding the silver broach. There was even a royal blue sailor collar that hung down my back. White gloves dressed my hands, stopping before my elbows with pink bands on the ends.
"Whoa," I said, placing a hand on my forehead and feeling a tiara with a gem in the center. I wasn't sure what color it was, but from the dreams I've had, something told me it was a silver tiara with a pink gem in the center. I even felt a choker around my neck with a silver crescent moon symbol in the center. Again, the choker had to have been pink if my dreams were telling me anything.
The roar of the monster brought me back. I looked up, seeing Kaz still out cold from the recent fight he fought...and the monster was slowly walking towards him now. I couldn't let him get hurt.
"Hey!" I called, getting the monster's attention. "Who do you think you are terrorizing this school?! That's a crime I cannot forgive! I am Lunar Moon, Soldier of Line and in the name of the moon, I'll punish you!"
It roared at me as it gave chase, making me jump up, do a front flip in the air, and land behind the monster and in front of Kaz. I knelt before him to check to see if he was okay, and thankfully he was just out cold. I sighed with relief before going back to the battle at hand. I flipped, cartwheeled, and dodged attacks from the monster as I did my best to protect the unconscious form of Kaz.
And the school.
Kaz's POV~
My eyes fluttered open after a long few minutes and then went wide when I noticed someone fighting the monster. She was flipping and tumbling out of the way of attacks and was using powers that she owned as well.
Who was she? Was she a new superhero?
I slowly stood up from the ground, using the lockers to steady myself since I still felt a bit groggy, and then shot a beam of fire at the monster. It hit, making the monster stumble a bit as the girl looked at me with surprise. Though she smiled, seeming to be happy that I was okay. She raced over to me quickly, dodging an attack from the monster once more.
"Hey, you okay?" She asked, placing a gentle hand on my arm. Her glove was soft against my skin.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I said, before noticing the monster about to attack again. I pushed her out of the way and dodged the attack. I turned quickly, seeing it was spraying this green goo with a nasty, hideous odor to it. It had to have been some kind of poison.
"Okay, now I'm mad!" I heard the girl say as I watched her stand up and place her fingers on her tiara's pink gem. It flashed and then the tiara fell off her forehead into her hand. I watched as it turned into a frisbee and she got into a pose.
"Moon, Tiara...MAGIC!" She shot the frisbee/tiara towards the monster, hitting it head on and making it dissolve into tiny little stars. I laughed with excitement, happy and glad that the monster was gone as I watched her catch the tiara and put it back on her forehead. Her eyes shined as she looked my way, making me stare before she gave a grin.
"Thanks for the help," She said. "But next time...don't get hit." She winked before she ran out of the school. I watched as she left, my heart fluttering with unanswered questions.
Why did those eyes look familiar?
~Pandora's POV~
"NO!" I screamed as I watched my monster get destroyed through my magic mirror. "How in the world did she awaken at this exact moment?!"
"Face it, Pandora," I stared in anger as a silhouette of a woman appeared on my mirror. "You'll never rule. The Guardians will return. The Heirs will be found. The world will be at peace from the likes of you."
"Oh, you think you're so clever, Estella!" I yelled. "I'll show you! I'll destroy that precious Lunar Moon of yours! I'll destroy them all!" I then shot a beam of electricity from my scepter to my mirror, turning off the magic for the time being. "I WILL win this war."
~Twila's POV~
I raced up to my room once I got home and closed the door. I leaned against it, excitement starting to bubble up in my chest before it released itself in the form of a squeal. I spun around my room and landed on my bed, facing the ceiling.
"Twila, is everything okay?" I heard Mrs. Grisham ask from behind the door.
"I'm fine! Just...excited," I sighed, sitting up as I pulled out the broach from this morning. It glistened in my hand as I held it close to my chest. hi
A superhero...I've become a superhero.
"Rumors unfold as they say a girl, calling herself Lunar Moon, has surfaced in the heat of a strange monster attack at Logan High..."
...
"Who is the mysterious girl?"
...
"One thing's for sure, we can definitely thank Lunar Moon for protecting those kids."
News reports had already started to flow in as I heard them downstairs. Mr. Grisham was more than likely watching TV.
I giggled again, looking at my songbook on my desk. Its silver binding with a moon and stars pattern felt cool on my skin as I grabbed it and opened it to the first page. Still blank.
But not for long.
