Emperor Belos paced the floor of his laboratory, the anxious stomping of his boots echoing as he walked. The portal to the Human Realm was nearly complete and he had the key to unlock it, but he still had to wait. Even though he had his focus on the Day of Unity, which was fast approaching, he still had an issue to deal with: Luz Noceda. She'd been a thorn in his side ever since they first met.
"Pardon my bluntness, my liege, but don't you think you should give the pacing a rest? You'll wear a groove into the floor." Kikimora commented.
"Don't patronize me, Kiki." Belos said as he stopped to face her. "The human is becoming more and more of a threat to my success each passing day. I must find a way to break her." He furrowed his brow and scratched the side of his head in thought as he made his way over to a work table cluttered with papers and photographs. "But how?" He sifted through the mess until his soulless blue eyes fell upon something out of place; it was a photo of Luz. He picked it up and saw that she was holding hands with a girl with short, lavender colored hair; they were both smiling. Even though her hair was different, he recognized the girl as Amity, the youngest Blight daughter. The cogs and gears in his head turned and whirred as he stared at the picture; he smiled as a wicked idea popped into his mind. "Kiki, gather up a few Coven Scouts. We are going to pay a special visit to Hexside today."
Kikimora wasted no time and ran off to do what she was told. With the photo still clutched in his hand, Belos exited the lab with a new determination. It was time to take a different approach and he believed this Amity girl would prove to be quite useful.
