Dear Lord and Heavenly Father,

I thank you for helping me to write this story,

And I thank you for all that you have blessed us with.

I really do appreciate all that you do me and other writers,

Even if they don't see it.

I do pray that this story will inspire others to keep on writing,

Or to be inspired to start.

I do ask these things in your Holy name, Lord

Collector Wants to Play Tag With Fox and the Hound

In a cave within a large forest, it was looking pretty grim for a group of individuals. At the back of the cave, underneath a light that came from an opening above, Tod the Fox, Vixy the Vixen, Copper the Blood Hound, Chief the Coonhound, Big Mama the Owl, Dinky the Finch and Boomer the Woodpecker were all gathered together. They had come together to stop an evil bear from carrying out his sinister plans. But during the fight, the bear had undergone a gruesome transformation and became a demon bear. The group of smaller animals were panting after such a battle with the transformed beast. The demon bear stood on his back legs and raised his right paw into the air and it became more sharp and jagged. With a growl he threw the appendage at the group. The group braced themselves by closing their eyes and Tod standing in front of Vixy to shield her. But the paw was stopped short with a small clink before it could touch any of them. When he didn't feel anything, Tod opened his eyes and became surprised when he saw a new being standing between them and the demon bear. The being held one of the demonic bear's claws between his finger and thumb of his left hand.

(Cue Collector's Theme)

The being looked like a human child, his face was clashing with colors of white and blue as were his robes and the hat on his head. His eyes were yellow with red irises. The child-like being had a smile on his face and asked the group, "What'cha playin?"

None of them knew what to say to do as they looked between the child-like being and the demonic bear. The bear seemed to grow afraid of the new being and took a step back while his claw remained in the child's grasp and said with surprise, "Collector?"

The Collector's smile immediately dropped at the sound of the demon bear's voice and twisted himself to where he could fully see the transformed ursine. The demon bear tried to make it sound as if he were the Collector's friend by saying, "You're fee.

"Just as promised." He nervously added, hoping that the child-like being wasn't upset with him from earlier. But the Collector didn't to see the bear as he repeated the last two words, "As promised?

"I remember someone throwing me off a bridge." The Collector said as he lifted his head and thought about recent events. But his mood quickly changed again when he perked up and his smile returned when he said, "I'm not angry though.

"Say, you wanna play tag?" He asked the demonic bear as he lowered the claw in his grip before loosing his hold a little. Then with a twirl of his index finger, the Collector magically pulled the transformed ursine forward to where he was now face to face with the child-like being. The demon bear seemed greatly afraid when the Collector said with a grin and raising his hand, "I'm it."

He flicked his finger forward and in turn it sent the demon bear flying across the cave. The nightmarish being that was once a bear harshly slammed into the top of the opening on the other side of the cave and had turned into a large puddle of mush in the process. Bits and pieces of the mush fell to the ground with squelching sounds. From behind the Collector, all the animal friends were greatly horrified by what they had just witnessed as they looked with wide eyes and Dinky covered his beak with his wing. But the Collector didn't seem too upset about it as he placed a hand up to his mouth and laughed, "Too slow!"

Author's Note: I had been thinking about adding Amos and Widow Tweed, but I think I'll do them in another story, I promise. I look forward to reading your reviews. Be sure to leave a comment either about if I've done something wrong or if you want something specifically to happen. See you next time.
