Team Calamity: A band of four individuals working together to survive the apocalypse, reunite with their loved ones, and save the world from the madness that has consumed it. The team comprises three young women (Anne Boonchuy, Sasha Waybright, and Marcy Wu) and one young man (Theodore Abbot), all of whom possess superhuman capabilities, either supernatural in origin or genetically augmented.
Name: Theodore Abbot
Codename: Vanguard
Species: Posthuman
Race: Caucasian (?)
Age: 18 (Biologically); 2 (Chronologically)
Gender: Male
Occupation: Supersoldier (formerly); superhero (self-proclaimed); wasteland adventurer.
Home: The Project Prometheus Research Facility (Located on a remote island somewhere in the West Coast)
Goal: Explore the wasteland; uncover his past; make friends; save the world; be a superhero.
Likes: Comic books, his friends, helping people, being a superhero, Salisbury steak, watching movies on Anne's phone, Anne's cooking, Sasha as a sparring partner, Marcy's clumsiness.
Dislikes: His friends getting hurt, innocent people getting hurt, bandits, bullies, Sasha's arrogance, monsters, Anne's stubbornness, Marcy's shortsightedness, losing control of his powers, killing his enemies (unless he has no other choice), and his past self (after discovering the truth).
Allies: Anne Boonchuy (first friend and lover), Sasha Waybright (second friend and lover), Marcy Wu (third friend and lover), Mr. X (frenemy), Anne's parents, Sasha and Marcy's family, Steven Universe, the Crystal Gems, The Mystery Shack Gang, Lilith Clawthorne, Hastur the Guardian.
Enemies: Lord Grime, the Scourge, the Warlord, He Who Lurks in the Dark (it's Twig), the Forester, the Hanged Man, Harrowing Abyss Cultists, Ancient Ones, the Shadow Government (his creators), New Olympus, and Termagant.
Summary: Theo was initially created as a super soldier by a shady government cabal (the shadow government) for both mainstream and secret wars. However, when the world ended, he awoke to find himself alone and living in an abandoned research facility, leaving only to scavenge for supplies while saving survivors. After saving Anne from being violated and killed by the Amphibians, she and Theodore decide to work together, both figuring out his past and helping find her friends. Over the course of their journey, Theo and Anne formed a close bond, which blossomed into romance. As the two face off against all sorts of interesting and terrifying ordeals, they will encounter a force that will guide their fates to something world-saving and legendary.
Personality: Theodore is a heroic, brave, rugged, kind-hearted, and noble individual, albeit depressed and confused, as he has no past. While he tries maintaining some restraint and mercy, Theodore is willing to kill if it's the last resort when dealing with an enemy who will not easily surrender or has no redeeming qualities. Besides that, he has a habit of acting like a "boy scout," as Sasha puts it. Much of his moral qualities derive from comic books he found in the facility (Superman, Fawcett comics Captain Marvel, Invincible, and Charlton Comics), which fills his head with the dream of becoming a real-life superhero, calling himself "Vanguard," much to Anne (and the others) trepidation. When he isn't talking, and acting, like a comic book hero, his other side is an idealistic man and lonely man who is happy to have made some friends and scared to lose anyone, doing whatever to protect them while striving to make a better place for him and those he cares for. Weirdly enough, despite coming off as eccentric, his superhero persona and antics are enough to boost morale and lighten up people from their downtrodden dilemmas, such as reassuring the girls that it's never alright to lose hope and inspiring the communities they visit dreams of a better tomorrow. Theodore is vastly knowledgeable in biology, history, and literature outside of survivalism and combat, primarily being programmed into his mind during development. Theodore does believe in God but isn't religious, indicating some form of agnosticism.
Appearance: He has silver-blonde hair, red eyes, and a track-runner build, befitting for someone in his late teens, wearing a black bodysuit with a silver breastplate (the security guard's uniform) with a blue V insignia (Anne carved and painted it on herself), silver and black gloves, and boots, and a black mouth cover. He later adds a silver and blue cape for the theatrics and flamboyance.
Powers and Abilities: Theodore possesses superhuman abilities such as super-strength, agility, endurance, durability, heightened senses, and regeneration. He can also fly faster than a military-grade jet, generating enough propulsion to break the sound barrier. Later on, during Team Calamity's travel to Arcadia Safe-Zone, Theodore unlocks the powers of pyrokinesis and limited teleportation (he can disappear and reappear a few feet in a blink of an eye). These newfound abilities are mainly the result of a genetic mutation within his cells. He is skilled in hand-to-hand combat and has excellent survival skills, as he is able to set up a tent and know Morse code.
Inspirations: Invincible, Superman, the Tick (with a dash of Captain America), and Captain Marvel (Fawcett Comics, personality-wise).
Name: Anne Boonchuy
Species: Human (magically altered)
Race: Asian (Thai)
Age:16
Gender: Female
Occupation: middle school student (formerly); Wasteland survivalist (currently).
Home: Los Angeles, California
Goal: Explore the Wasteland, reunite with her friends and family, and undo her past sins.
Likes: Her phone, her friends, K-pop, pizza, exploring, sports, marathoning TV shows, romcoms, adventuring, surviving, relaxing, comics, and magazines, being rough in bed.
Dislikes: Her friends getting hurt, bras, losing her phone, amphibians (particularly the Deep Ones), monsters, pineapple pizza, camping (formerly), being separated from her friends, Sasha's controlling attitude, Marcy's clumsiness, Theo's impulsiveness.
Allies: Sasha Waybright and Marcy Wu (childhood friends), Theodore Abbot (boyfriend), Mr. X (frenemy), her parents, Sasha and Marcy's family, Steven Universe, the Crystal Gems, The Mystery Shack Gang, Lilith Clawthorne, Hastur the Guardian.
Enemies: Lord Grime, the Scourge, the Warlord, He Who Lurks in the Dark (it's Twig), the Forester, the Hanged Man, Harrowing Abyss Cultists, Ancient Ones, the Shadow Government, New Olympus, and Termagant.
Summary: The heart of the calamity trio, Anne has taken it upon herself to find her friends and solve the mysteries of the changed world. While scouring San Antonio and getting jumped by a gang of Deep Ones, Anne was saved by Theo, who stopped the amphibious monstrosities from having their way with her and flew the young woman to safety. She took up residence at the facility, befriended the eccentrically lovable superhuman, and the two have stuck together ever since.
Personality: Although initially stubborn and selfish at times, Anne is kind-hearted, friendly, caring, and fearless. She has some guilt and blames herself for starting the apocalypse, though she was reassured that anyone could have caused it had they first gotten the music box. Being in the wasteland and living off whatever she could find has made her resourceful and appreciative of simpler living (though she still relies on her cell phone for sentimental reasons). Having come from a Buddhist household, Anne was brought up on the ideals of karma and reincarnation, thinking that her predicament is the universe punishing her. Anne has grown attracted to Vanguard, finding his good-natured spirit and altruism romantic and invigorating. She also feels sympathetic for the big lug after seeing the place he's living in, and again when he discovers the true purpose of his creation.
Appearance: Anne is a beautiful Thai American girl with an athletic and curvaceous figure, having back-length curly brunette hair, amber eyes, and caramel-brown skin; her mature body resulted both from hormone-added preservatives in foods and living in the wasteland. She wearing her middle school uniform that she's modified over the years, consisting of a short lavender skirt, a blue shirt torn into an underbust top, a single shoulder blade with a holster strap over her chest, armguards, and shin guards, and bandages around her hands and feet, having a very risqué post-apocalyptic vibe. This persona gives her a very feral look (i got the idea from Mangamaster's feral calamity trio), but it mainly helps her get around in the climate of the wasteland. She also doesn't wear bras because they make her chafe and uncomfortable to walk around, preferring to wear pasties when walking around (I never pictured Anne being a bra girl).
Powers and Abilities: Anne is a skilled fighter, not only in Muay Thai, but she is also knowledgeable in swordsmanship and Judo, carrying around a broadsword she excavated during her travels. Some of the calamity energy was transferred to her, albeit watered down, granting her enhanced strength, agility, and telekinesis. She is also great at cooking due to having parents who own a Thai-themed restaurant, and she has also mastered camping (a hobby she despised as a kid). Another aspect of herself is that she is a phenomenal dancer and enjoys dancing to K-pop and new wave.

Name: Sasha Waybright
Species: Human (magically altered)
Race: Caucasian (German and Russian)
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Occupation: Middle school student (formerly), Wasteland Survivalist, bounty hunter.
Home: Los Angeles, California.
Goal: Reunite with her friends; see her family again; explore the wasteland; kill Lord Grime; apologize and confess her feelings to Anne.
Likes: Power, being a cheerleader, her friends, being a bounty hunter, being a mercenary, getting what she wants (formerly), freedom, rock music, doing tai chi, being in control (semi-formerly), dogs, anal sex.
Dislikes: Deep Ones, Lord Grime (with a passion), the Hanged Man (more like afraid), being held prisoner, being left out, losing, mucus, ears, cats, being used as a plaything (especially by the Deep Ones).
Allies: Anne Boonchuy, Marcy Wu, Theodore Abbot (formerly suspicious), her parents, Anne and Marcy's parents, Mr. X, Steven Universe, the Crystal Gems, The Mystery Shack Gang, Lilith Clawthorne, Hastur the Guardian.
Enemies: Lord Grime, the Scourge, the Warlord, He Who Lurks in the Dark (it's Twig), the Forester, the Hanged Man (she's terrified of him), Harrowing Abyss Cultists (thinks their outfits are cute, though), Ancient Ones, the Shadow Government, New Olympus, and Termagant.
Summary: The might of the group who acts like the leader, Sasha was previously a mean girl with a very controlling demeanor but has changed, caring a great deal for her friends after their separation. She was captured by the Deep One Warlord Grime who plotted to use her as a brood mare for his offspring. A period riddled with pain and humiliation, being subjected to whatever perversion the amphibious warlord demanded before she escaped and ventured into the wasteland, her body discovered by Theodore and Anne during a survey into the Los Angeles ruins. Sasha was then brought back to the facility, was given medical treatment, and after recovering joined the duo on their adventures, albeit with a few rocky starts.
Personality: Sasha is brash, charismatic, and brave, but has grown cynical and paranoid, blaming Anne for causing the world to end before taking responsibility herself. Sasha cares greatly for her friends but her insecurities still cloud her judgement sometimes. Nevertheless, she is willing to risk her life and safety to ensure that all of them will make it out of this madness alive. However, being Lord Grime's prisoner and plaything has left her with some issues such as a deep seeded hatred for the frog-beast and an apprehension of being touch (haphephobia), though this is later overcome. Sasha has feelings for Anne, a fact she hasn't realized till later, but displaces her affection for blame. She also has developed feelings for Theodore, though previously suspicious of him, along with getting annoyed at his superhero-esque dialogue, manifesting after Theodore saved her and Anne from almost getting ambushed by bandits while scavenging. Sasha secretly has an anal fetish and sometimes loves to play with her ass, along with traveling with ben wa balls.
Appearance: Sasha is a stunningly attractive blonde with a statuesque physique, one befitting a former cheerleader, having long hair down to her back in a ponytail, blue eyes, and fair skin with a beauty mark on her cheek. Living in the wasteland and fighting for her life has left her with a few scars, though that doesn't outshine her beauty whatsoever. Although previously wearing tattered clothes and chains, Sasha quickly switches them out for a black bikini top, two red shoulder pads, a pair of jeans with red knee pads, biker gloves, and knee-high boots. She also wears a pair of open-back laced black panties and makes sure no one else find out.
Powers and Abilities: Although skilled in gymnastic and hand-to-hand combat, Sasha relies more on brute strength to get the job done (which is enhanced by her calamity powers). After reuniting for Marcy, Sasha is given a modified sledgehammer with a rocket propulsion and gas tank to do more damage (similar to the hammer from Fallout 4). She is also very charismatic and a skilled leader, using this trait to manipulate and control people in her life, which comes in handy when guiding the group (though Theo and Anne step in whenever Sasha goes too far). Thanks to the calamity powers, not only does she have enhanced strength but durability and the ability to fire concentrated energy from her body.
Inspiration: Matt Braly's friend, and Xena Warrior Princess.
Name: Marcy Wu
Species: Human (magically altered)
Race: Asian (Chinese)
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Occupation: Middle school student (formerly), surveyor, cartographer, wastland survivalist, professional sniper, self-taught medic.
Home:Los Angeles, California
Goal: Reunite with her friends, explore the wasteland, apologize to her friends for starting the apocalypse, uncover what Theodore Abbot really is.
Likes: Her friends, D&D, science, magic, taking notes in her journal, puzzles, reading, red velvet cupcakes with ube frosting, Theo's muscles, studying the oddities of the wasteland, and feet (preferably girls).
Dislikes: Eggs, failing, losing her friends, hurting others, being alone, not being forgiven, people calling her weird, her parents keeping stuff from her.
Allies: Anne Boonchuy, Sasha Waybright, Theodore Abbot, her parents, Anne and Sasha's parents, Mr. X, Steven Universe, the Crystal Gems, The Mystery Shack Gang, Lilith Clawthorne, Hastur the Guardian.
Enemies: The Scourge, the Warlord (his undead form), He Who Lurks in the Dark (it's Twig), the Forester, the Hanged Man (she's terrified of him), Harrowing Abyss Cultists (thinks their outfits are cute, though), Ancient Ones, the Shadow Government, New Olympus, and Termagant.
Summary: Marcy was upset when her parents told her they were moving and sought solitude in the library. After discovering the music box in a book and finding it in a thrift store, she tricked her friends into not only stealing it but opening it, inadvertently causing the apocalypse and releasing all sorts of eldritch horrors. While living in the wilderness, hunting and scavenging in the apocalypse, Marcy has kept tabs on the oddities of the wasteland. She has not entirely gotten over tricking her friends into opening the music box and after reuniting with them tried making it up. Fortunately, Marcy reunites with her friends when Team Calamity traveled east after receiving a radio broadcast, leading them to the Arcadia Safe-Zone, seeing a caravan under attack by a pack of Wretched Howlers.
Personality: Marcy is clumsy, energetic, nerdy, intelligent, and compassionate, though can be insensitive and reckless when in her hyperfocus state. She has always being a straight A student, implying her above average intelligence, except when it comes to gym due to her reading during class. Marcy is always curious and enjoys learning about new things, especially in the wasteland to which is teaming with new flora, fauna, and cultures (both human and other). Despite wanting to reunite with her friends and family, Marcy still hold s a strong interest in the wasteland and wants to continue exploring. it is also implied she might be on the spectrum, or have some sort of neurodiversity as shown from her one-track thinking, above average intelligence, social awkwardness, difficulty reading a room, clumsy behavior, and idiosyncrasies. It appears she has also developed a slight foot fetish, mainly towards women's feet, and to men's muscles, appreciating this aspects of the human anatomy and desiring to touch and feel them (much to her friend's awkwardness). Marcy has both a fixation and crush on Theodore, both as an oddity to the wasteland and seeing him as a personified knight in shining armor, getting into a polyamorous relationship with the superhuman.
Appearance: Marcy is a cute and mousy Chinese American girl with a gorgeous figure, having long fluffy black hair with a green hair pen, hazel eyes, and olive skin with ample and perky breasts. Marcy wears a green tube top that show midriff, a pair of shorts, a pair of welding gloves, stockings, brown combat boots, goggles, and a harness with a sniper rifle holster on her back. Although not as well-endowed as Anne and Sasha, her legs and hips make up for her.
Powers and Abilities: Marcy is a jack of all trades, being skilled in marksmanship, medical attention, and tinkering, using a customized sniper rifle that can function at long-range and night vision. Also, because of the music box, Marcy not only has heightened intellect but the power of technopathy too.
