Keep them coming I will have a chapter where if there's any questions for the story I will answer(Probably after chapter Three)

Arriving in the main foyer of Potter castle, Kate cradled her sleeping nephew as she slowly made her way deeper into the depths of the castle. A soft pop greeted her senses as a small greyish house elf appeared next to her. Dressed in a simple brown toga, marked with the Potter crest on the beast pocket, the Chimera that represented the various ties the family had to the history of the land front and centre along with the Potter moto 'familia super omnia aliud' emblazed below it.

"Ela is the room ready for Harry."

The small female house elf gave a frantic nod, before softly squeaking her reply.

"Yes, yes mistress we prepared a room for master Harry."

Kate couldn't help but smile at the excitable elf, they all seemed to be in a splendid mood since she had returned to the castle after many of years being away in Australia and when they found out she was going to be bringing young master Harry back here they lost it. In the short span that he had lived there as a baby, it sure seems that the elves of Potter castle had taken a shine to him. They well and truly adored him with all their hearts.

With a soft pop Ela vanished from view leaving Kate as she carried her nephew up to his new room. As she open the door to the rather plain but still infinitely better room then the cupboard that Harry had been held up in by Petunia and her family. Casting her gaze around the room her hazel eyes met sharp blue grey peering at her. A book in her lap as she sat in the comfortable armchair situated in the corner of the room, reading by wand light while she awaited her mothers return.

"Mom you're back, is that Harry?"

Her voice was soft, careful not wake her sleeping baby cousin. Kate nodded slightly, smiling warmly at her daughter as she gently laid Harry down on the bed.

"Yes, Jane dear.. Keep it down for abit, I think Harry may need some space when he wakes up so don't crowd him to soon."

Giving her mother a small nod she slip off her chair going little closer to her sleeping cousin.

Jane was a Potter in all but name, her dirty blonde hair had that classic Potter messy look to it while no one really ever had hair as bad as James it certainly did run in the family. Her sharp blue grey eyes peered over her fragile form of her cousin as she took in his sorry state she couldn't help but wince as she noticed the small scars running up and down his arms. She couldn't remember the time they had spent together when they were little but she felt the family bond, it was there and it was a strong one. Her heart bled at the thought that Harry's own family could treat him so badly.

"Honey let's go, let have Harry sleep we will come see him when he wakes up."

The pair slipping out of the room, made sure not to make to much noise as they made their way through the castle halls. Their silence broke as Kate decided to break the tension in the air.

"Shouldn't you be in bed young lady?" Giving her daughter a amused look only for the dirty blonde to roll her eyes as give a curt response.

"And miss you bringing Harry home no thank you."

"Damm that Potter sass I should know better then to add Australian moxy to it." Chuckled out Kate her tone jovially mocking earning her yet another eye roll from her daughter followed by a by a wry smile identical to her mothers.

"You know you love it." A mischievous glint reaching her eyes as grinned at her mother. Bloody hell what monster did I create, oh well I love this monster so bite me.

"That I do."

A silence fell on the pair as a more serious expression flitted across the younger girls face.

"Will Harry be okay." Her voice was soft and vulnerable, Kate knew her daughter well she had two modes the one she showed the world, the toughen Australian pure blood princess while this was the other the soft side that came out whenever her family was involved. She was truly a Potter, I honestly should get her name changed.

Kate sighed stopping her warm gaze meeting her daughters. "He is a fighter like his father and his mother, but he will need time he was in a bad way. All we can do is be there for him."

Nodding slowly Jane, the worry that was heavy in her eyes had lessened but was still there. She gave her mother a hug which Kate quickly returned. Breaking apart after a moment Kates face now with a ghost of a smile on it spoke.

"Now off to bed with you, it's way to late for you to still be awake. I still got to do some mothering so bed now."

"Okay mom, goodnight."

Sitting in the study that once belonged to her father, Kate uncorked a bottle of firewhiskey pouring herself a good measure into one of the crystal glasses laying around. Letting out a deep sigh as she slumped down into the soft leather chair behind the large oak desk. She remembered how when she was a girl she and James would come in here just to sit in this chair. It would drive their father mad when they would barge in here and cook up a storm, knocking books off the shelves and sending stacks of papers tumbling. Not one day did he complain.

Taking a deep sip from the glass, followed by a small wisp of flame escaping her mouth. Those were the good days before everything went to shit. She could only wish for the same kind of life for her daughter, and her nieces and nephews but alas those old coots playing war ruined it for them, they ripped away that privilege from them. As she went for another sip she felt a pling at the back of her mind.

Just then Ela appeared in the room with the soft pop of house elf apparition, bowing low before she spoke.

"Mistress Potter, there seems to a woman at the gates of Potter Castle demanding to see you."

Grumbling and groaning as she felt the tiredness wash over her from the days events why would someone come here so late and who the hell would even know she was here in the first place.

"Who is it?"

Ela remained monotone, Kate picked up on the behaviour before the elf even spoke. This was pure blood guests protocol, the Potter family may not have been bigots like many of the other old pure blooded families but they still followed tradition, not that they really cared about it that much but it was a nice gesture to some of the more stuck up pure blood families who would simply die at if they didn't.

"It is Lady Greengrass, Mistress."

Eyes widening slightly before Kate let out a long tired sigh, gulping down the rest of the firewhiskey feeling the burn as the pungent amber liquid slid down her throat a plum of fire escaping her lips as she slam the crystal glass down onto the varnished surface of the oak desk.

"Let her in, escort her here to my father's study."

Bowing low Ela vanished with a pop as she went about carrying out her mistresses orders. Composing herself for what she anticipated as a long night that lay ahead of her just as the door of the study flew open, revealing a short black haired woman, her skin a milky pale color accentuated by her stunning grey eyes as they glimmered in the fire light from the fireplace . The woman seemed frantic almost like she was going to whip out here wand and start blowing up everything she could get her hands on. Kate felt a plink of guilt and hate for herself well up in her as she looked at the woman standing before her, reminding her of people she would never see again and those that were not gone but out of reach nonetheless.

"Kate..." Tears welling up in the smaller woman's eyes as she barreled forward like a small black haired rocket straight into the older witches open arms.

"I thought you were dead, and Harry oh Harry I am so sorry... He tampered with mines and Cyrus's minds we didn't know."

The younger witch sounded broken, each word heavy with guilt, as she broke down into sobs.

Kate growled, when she arrived back in England she found that she was supposed to be a dead woman. Apparently Harry had no remaining wizarding family left to speak off with Dorea and Charlus being killed supposedly along with their daughter Kate Potter, poor Alice's mind being fried by the Lestranges, and his godfather Sirus a mass murderer and traitor. But that still left the woman sobbing in her arms. Lyra Black nee Greengrass, Harry Potter's godmother.

Dumbledore had played her for a fool assuring her for years that Harry was safe and that she would be able to visit soon only for soon to become later and later until her patience broke, and to tamper with Lyras mind like that how far did his plotting go.

"Its okay Lyra we were all played by Dumbledore and his cronies it isn't your fault."

"Kate, I didn't even remember he was my godson, and then this evening it came crashing down on me. I remembered everything. I didn't even fight for my own brother, I only had this silly notion that he was guilty we all know Sirus would rather die than betray James like that. As soon as I remembered I knew I had to come here to talk to the Potter elves or something." Her small outburst was followed up by a fresh set of sobs. Kate slowly let her take a seat on one of the couches producing a older bottle of Firewhiskey and pouring a good measure for each of them.

"I suppose the old coot tied the memory charms to Harry and Privet Drive and the wards he set up there, so that when you remembered it would already be to late."

Lyra looked into Kates hazel eyes horror reflected in her.

"You can mean, no... no..no. Harry had to live with that bitch that Lily called a sister."

Kate took a swig before she nodded. Lyra slumped down her eyes absolutely broken.

"I failed him."

Kate put her hand on her shoulder comforting the petite black haired witch as the waves of emotions crashed into her.

"How is he?"

Looking skeptically at the black haired witch Kate looked of into the corner of the study.

"I know he's here, the memory charm would have only broke if Harry left Privet Drive and entered a place that's heavily warded, which would break the link."

Kate sighed taking another swig before slowly replying.

"He is his father's kid, he will live but he really isn't in the best shape physical. I can't speak for mentally just yet but I can guess that it's also not in the best place right now. I actually was going to contact you to see if you would have a look over him once he settles abit"

"Of course I will you would be barking if you think I would let you allow any other healer in Britain touch him." Lyra grabbed hold of her glass draining the contents in one gulp before Kate poured her another. Fire erupting out from her mouth rather violently before subsiding into nothing.

"And that bitch Petunia is she still among us?" The Black within Lyra had reared its head, the glint in her usually gentle eyes called for blood to be spilled.

"Unfortunately yes. But I have plans for her, there's no doubt in my mind that Dumbledore knows Harry is out of his hand by now and if he doesn't Petunia will go groveling to him in due time. But before all that I have some wrongs to write."

Nodding slowly Lyra seemed to have calmed down knowing that Harry was atleast safe. Her anger though had began to grow but she was a Ravenclaw for a reason she would bid her time and strike when Kate was well and ready to bring in her Gryffindor calvary.

"Daphne will be happy to see him again."

Kate raised her eyebrow at this she knew that the two had met as babies, they were actually inseparable more so than any of the other children. But that was along time ago for a baby to remember. She shot a questioning look at Lyra.

"She vaguely remembers him, she once told me when she was young she felt like she was missing something. She loved us but something was just missing."

Kate nodded at this.

"And you think this piece is Harry?"

"I think so but it's just a theory."

Running her small hand through her hair, Lyra pushed her plotting to the back of her mind turning back to her friend that she thought was dead.

"I should be going let me know when he's settled and I'll come and give him a good check. I have to go try Cyrus down he's not to happy that someone messed with his memory especially when it was about his favourite drinking buddy's."

"Tell him I owe him a pint the next time we meet. Also thank you Lyra."

"Don't thank me, I owe my godson the world for abandoning him" Her face scrunching up into a sombre expression as she got up to leave.

Kate sighed, "It's not your fault what matters is that we are here for him now."

Nodding Lyras grey eyes hardened a determination sparking within their depths.

"See you soon Kate I feel like this is just the start off all this."

"That it is see you Lyra."

Ela popped backed into the room once more, escorting the ever so slightly tipsy Lady Greengrass back to the apparition point. Kate watched as the younger witch left the castle grounds apparating back to her own home. She was tired and this was only the start. Well for now I probably should get some sleep, tomorrow was shaping up to a big day after all.

And another chapter comes to a close. I know that the story is very oc at the moment but I promise it will start interacting with more traditional aspects of the story. With that I leave you till next time in homecoming part 2.
