* Wow...It's been a while since I've written fanfics. But I began to read Mondler stories again lately and I got the idea from the episode where Chandler and Monica are on a honeymoon.
* Set in season 4, Chandler leaves to Yemen to get away from Janice. Here Chandler and Monica don't know each other and only Chandler lives in apartment 19-with Joey. (Monica is friends with Rachel and Phoebe-Ross too, since he's her brother.)

CHAPTER ONE
Chandler pov
"Well then.. I Guess I'm going to Yemen!" Chandler cried out. "I'm going to Yemen!" He walked up to the lady in front of him asking if he could stay with her in Yemen. He couldn't believe this. One minute he was going to Yemen to get rid of his ex and now he had to find a place to stay in Yemen. And he thought this was a good idea. He showed his ticket to the flight attendant who smiled brightly at him but he was too busy in his thoughts. After all it was Janice. No matter how many times he ran away from her, she always found a way to find him.
'The woman is inescapable.'
He just wished this was the last he'd have to do anything crazy to get rid of her.
He checked his seat number, 14E. He found his seat and automatically put his bag in the cabin. He sat in the middle of the three seat that were empty. As he was staring blankly through the window a man pushed his bag to make space for his luggage. He saw the luggage fall right above his head and shrunk back closing his eyes. But nothing happened and he slowly opened his eyes to see a woman in dark hair holding the luggage just above his head. The beautiful woman smiled at him and gave the luggage back to the man who was continually saying sorry to them.
Chandler was still in complete awe when she asked him if he could move his legs so that she could go through.
"Oh, yeah sure, sure."
"Thanks."
She sat on the window side right beside him. Now he could observe her properly. And doing so, he couldn't believe his luck. Maybe Yemen wasn't a very bad idea after all. She was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Her short dark hair came down to her ears giving her somewhat light and cheerful character. Her red lips looked so soft. And her blue eyes, so clear that he was uncontrollably drawn to them.
'Okay, I gotta talk to her or else she's gonna think I'm some kind of a pervert.
But about what? Oh! I should thank her for saving me from the luggage that could've crashed my brain.'
"Um.. Hi. I'm Chandler."
A pair of ocean blue eyes met his own eyes.
"I just wanted to thank you for saving my life back then."
He nervously laughed and tilted his head to the direction of the cabin. Her red lips formed a graceful curve replying-
"You're welcome. I'm Monica. Nice to meet you Chandler."
Monica held her hand out and Chandler reached her hand as he smiled-now relaxing.
"So what brings you to Yemen, Chandler?"
"Oh you don't want to know, it's a whole big plan-backfired thing."
She chuckled at it.
"Well, I'd like to hear it. It could be a long flight."
She eyed the big-fat man snoring in his seat on his left, whom he didn't even notice up until now. They both laughed and he started off with his story going-
"It all started yesterday-"
When he finished his story, the aircraft was already in the air. He couldn't believe it. Him and Monica were hitting off great with each other, It didn't feel like they've just met. It was so comfortable talking to her. Interestingly enough, when he was with her, he wasn't weird, sensitive and awkward Chandler.
"Wow. That is some story. But do you have a place to stay in Yemen?"
"No, But I'll find someplace close to the airport, I guess. Anyways, What about you? Are you running away from a crazy ex-boyfriend of yours, too?"
Monica laughed at his sarcastic comment. She was really starting to enjoy his accompany.
"Fortunately, no. I'm a chef. I love cooking and I've always wanted to experience different dishes in different cultures."
Chandler could see the way her blue eyes lit up when she was talking about her job. He could tell she not only enjoyed it, but also had passion in it unlike himself. Her bright energy for life was something he had never known.
'Just look at her. Could she be anymore attractive? '
He thought to himself before asking-
"That sounds great. Do you work at a restaurant?"
"Yeah, I'm a head chef in this restaurant called Allesandro's back in New York."
"Wow, I think I actually go there for lunch. Your food's great."
"Thanks, It's really nice to hear it from someone else. So you live in New York, too. What do you do?"
He squirmed in his seat a little. Having a boring job was definitely not something to impress a girl.
"Oh, It's just an office work. I analyze datas."
Monica seemed to sense that he didn't enjoy his job. She smiled saying-
"I think it's better than being a Palaeontologist."
"Really? You know someone who's a Palaeontologist?"
"Yeah, actually. My brother loves playing with the bones."
"You know what? That does put me in a better mood."
Halfway to Yemen, all the lights went off and silence filled the aircraft. Chandler woke up feeling something heavy on his shoulders. It turned out that the big-fat guy sitting next to him was leaning on his shoulders.
'How is someone's head supposed to be this heavy? I mean, It's like having a cannon ball on my shoulders! -and now he's dribbling.'
He shot up to stop the man from wetting his shirt. Then he found Monica's seat empty. She had stopped the movie she was watching. He couldn't find her but decided to go to the bathroom since he felt the need.
Although it was tough crawling under the fat man's legs to get through, he reached the bathroom and when he did, he was in a little hurry to let loose of his bladder.
'Come on-come on-come on.. What's taking so long?'
Just then the door opened and he smelled the familiar fresh rose scent.
Monica pov
Monica saw Chandler standing right in front of her as she opened the door. His blue eyes were surprised as much as she was but there was something more to it-tension.
She felt her heart race rapidly, so fast that she thought he would be able to hear it. She didn't realize it when they were sitting down talking, but Chandler was tall.
'Wow, He could be at least six-feet tall. And his shoulders..broad enough to hold a woman-'
Her thought was cut off by the guy who was standing behind them, clearly annoyed by the blocking of the bathroom door.
"Are you two actually gonna use the bathroom or not? Cuz I'm just stuck here five inches away from the door."
"Um..no. You-."
And the man closed the door before Chandler finished his words.
"-go ahead."
Then they both started laughing. The laughter slowly faded leaving smiles on their faces. They just stood there staring deep into each other. Monica felt a warm feeling in her stomach. His boyish smile somehow calmed her down and made her feel safe. Some of her friends called her high-maintenence but it seemed like being with Chandler brought out the best of her.
Chandler pov
Her eyes glittered in the dark. He couldn't take his eyes off of her. She was just so beautiful that he couldn't even remember what Janice looked like. His eyes traced down the beautiful curves of her body. He wanted to take her in his arms and kiss her.
'Should I kiss her?'
He thought to himself.
'What if she doesn't feel the same? I mean, We only met six hours ago, that's like only one-fourth of a day. Oh yeah, That's what you should be thinking about right now.'
However his instincts took the lead and he crashed his lips on her soft lips. He held her tight and kissed her passionately. As she kissed him back, she pushed him to the wall and he smiled against her lips. He never knew a 'kiss' could be so fun and intimate at the same time. But then he had never met her, Monica until now.
Though, they had to break the kiss. Not because of the lack of air but because the guy locked in the bathroom-since Chandler was pinned on the door- was knocking on the door saying-
"Can you two do that anywhere but not in front of the bathroom door?"
Monica grinned taking her hands off him.
"I'll see you back in our seat."
As Chandler watched her get back to her seat, the guy came out of the bathroom and gave him a glare. Just then he realized he needed to use the bathroom.
When he came back to his seat he almost gave the snoring fat man a lap-dance. It was either crawling under his legs or this and he didn't want to crawl in front of Monica. Thankfully she didn't bother much.
The kiss was still perfect after he came back. Her lips tasted like honey. In between kisses they talked about some things-not too serious but just everyday life. Chandler found out she lived with a roommate named Rachel whom she went to high school with. He also found out that Monica was friends with the blonde woman who always sang inappropriate songs at the coffee house below his apartment. And he remembered from the back of his head hearing his roommate, Joey talk about her when he dated her twin Ursula who was a waitress at a nearby restaurant. It was a surprise that they never ran into each other with such limited life boundaries. Then the topics of the conversation became heavier and reached to their parents. Turned out Her mother was not so eager about her own daughter compared to her eldest. Monica told him that she had a great relationship with his brother but couldn't stand her mother bitching about her career and the usual 'still not married' crap. Chandler never knew the woman but he already hated her for giving her obviously-talented, passionate and beautiful-daughter. So he joked about his own misfortunes as a kid having two unique parents and made her laugh. He swore he could do anything to make this woman happy.
When the plane landed in Yemen, they knew they had part ways. At least Monica had a place to go.
"So a.. how long are you planning to stay in Yemen?"
"I'm visiting some famous restaurants and local markets, so.. three days I guess?"
"Oh, okay.."
A heavy silence landed on them. It was Monica who broke it, as she pulled something out of her bag and wrote something on it.
"Hey, um.. This is my number. If you called me..that would be nice."
Monica gave him a soft smile.
"I,I will!"
He said holding the napkin she gave him tightly. Monica smiled at that and walked away, planting a kiss on his cheek.
