With a little bit of help from Raven, Thorin Oakenshield managed to climb down Ravenhill's cliffside. Hand in hand, Thorin and Raven walked back to Erebor with a happy Hobbit behind them! The battle was finally over, and the new King Under the Mountain cracked a genuine smile for the first time in a long time!

Littering the ground before Ravenhill, Dale and Erebor, multitude upon multitudes of bodies littered the ground: Orcs, Men, Elves and Dwarves! While Thorin was happy that the battle was over, his heart grieved for the fallen that had fought against the Orcs! He wasn't the cold, heartless king like those had believed! No, in fact he had cared a great deal for others other than his kin, but due to living in exile before going on the hard, perilous journey to reclaim The Ancient Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, Thorin dared not allow his feelings show; fear those feelings would be mistaken as weakness by those who sought to kill and destroy him and his sister-sons! But now? Now Thorin was able to open up just a little bit.

Casting his eyes to the woman he held hands with, his genuine smile grew even more! He was alive and well because of her! His One! Thorin - at first, he had the initial thought to keep himself guarded when he found his One - if he had found her, all because of believing she had been killed when Smaug had robbed Erebor! But when he saw how she had come to his rescue when Azog's blade had been mere inches from his heart; black barrier between his heart and the tip of Azog's deathly blade, Thorin had instantly changed his mind! Sure, he had been filled with shock and awe when he had turned his eyes on her after wondering where the black energy had come from, but he had also felt the pull when his cobalt blue eyes locked with her purple ones! His One had saved his life! Thorin knew trying to keep her at arms length now would be foolish; after having open up to her when telling her he had thought his One had been killed the day Smaug took Erebor - believing he had missed his chance and pushed any thought of romance aside - never again to be thought of. Until now - after Azog had been killed by her hand!

Cobalt Blue eyes suddenly landing on the members of his Company near the front gate of Erebor, tears welled up in the Dwarf King's eyes when he saw all of them still drew breath - his sister-sons as well; Fili and Kili taking turns taking a puff off of Gandalf's pipe when it was passed to them by the Wizard sitting amongst them. But when Thorin and Raven approached, his nephews shot to their feet at the sight of him and tackled him into a hug! "Uncle!" They cried simultaneously. "We thought we lost you!"

"Aye." Dwalin embraced his longtime friend in a hug. "We feared the worst when you didn't show. So you managed to kill that filthy Orc?"

"Actually, no, I didn't." Thorin turned his attention to Raven. "She did."

Raven watched all heads turn her way, eyebrows raised. "You did?" Dwalin asked.

"She did." Bilbo who had been quiet suddenly piped up. "She tore The Pale Orc's heart from his chest and discarded the organ over the cliff side of Ravenhill."

Thorin gave Raven's hand a squeeze. "Aye, she did. She came to my rescue just when Azog was close to piercing his blade through my chest and into my heart. If it weren't for her, I would be dead." He turned loving eyes on her again.

Fili and Kili suddenly let out whistles, and the others turned their heads. "What are you whistling at?" Dwalin asked gruffly.

"Their hands." Fili and Kili simultaneously replied. "Look at their hands."

All thirteen Company members lowered their eyes to Raven's left hand held in Thorin's right hand. "All be damned!" Dian exclaimed. "You finally found your One, did you cuz?"

"I did." Thorin beamed at all of his friends and family. "Well, more like she found me, but that's beside the point."

"Indeed." Gandalf agreed. Those steel grey eyes of his flickered up to Raven's purple ones. "I'm glad to see you finally managed to make it to Erebor, my dear. I was beginning to worry you wouldn't be able to make it."

Raven snorted. "A Mage is never late, my dear Gandalf. Nor is she early. She arrives precisely when meant too." She quipped the Wizard's favorite quote.

"Indeed, my dear," Gandalf replied with a laugh. "Indeed."

Gandalf's smile faltered. "But in all seriousness, my dear, I was beginning to worry you wouldn't be able to make it given your people's' circumstance."

Thorin shot Raven a surprised look. "What's wrong with your people?"

Raven - looking between Gandalf and Thorin, spoke so they, and the rest of the Company, could hear her. "That's a problem for another day."

"Indeed. Today is a day for celebration - not too mention the new King Under the Mountain has a coronation to prepare for."

Raven felt Thorin give her hand a gentle pull. She turned to face the Dwarf King. "What's wrong?"

"You and I have some things to discuss first - including what's going on with your people."

"I know, but you need to get that foot of yours mended first, and you need rest." Raven lifted her blood-covered hand up. "Not too mention I've gotta get the Orc's blood off of me." She watched Thorin's eyes widen when his cobalt blue irises also took in the dried blood splattered across her face and legs like paint. "Killing the stupid Orc wasn't exactly a clean process."

"Indeed." Thorin agreed, eyes still lingering on her bare legs. "Though I must say I'm opposed to you cleaning the blood off your face and legs."

"Why……?" Raven prompted. She had a feeling the Dwarf King was getting turned on just by her……intimidating and all-business look the blood gave her.

Thorin smiled seductively; lust crept over his face, turning his eyes darker. With his free hand, he seductively ran a single finger down along Raven's cheek to her chest; whispering across the curve of her right breast. Thorin's seductive smile all but grew predatory with his words: "I find the blood enhancing the intimidating-all-business warrior side of you quite sexy; quite the enjoyable advantageous position I'm in." He purred while seductively running his finger down Raven's muscular torso to her right thigh; seductive smile broadening a bit when his ears caught the gasp she inhaled in her lungs, color dusting her high cheekbones. "Just a shame I can't do anything about these clothes of yours just yet." His purr grew deeper and enticing while he gently gripped Raven's inner left thigh.

"You are shameless, Thorin." Raven's reply came out in a whisper! Moisture had all but pooled out between her legs at his touch; skin tingling all over.

Thorin moved his hand so his index finger slid into the crook of Raven's right leg to hook the edge of Raven's bodysuit against her thigh close to her soaked area. "Just wait until I take you to our marriage bed when we are married. Your view of me being shameless will change in a heartbeat."

Raven had managed to clean the blood off of her by the time early evening rolled around. Once she had bathed, Raven pulled on a simple blue-ish-purple tunic and dark trousers that ended just below her knees. She had decided against wearing any clothing that left her legs bare or suggested easy access to them to keep from enticing the Dwarf King. Thorin had all but noticed her outfit when she began to mend his right foot. As much as she loved the compliment Thorin gave her earlier mid-afternoon, it would be a lot easier for her - and him, to focus on whatever it was Thorin wanted to talk to her about when he decided to talk to her about whatever it was he wanted to talk to her about.

However, Raven noticed that her freshly adorned clothes didn't stop the Dwarf King from picturing what she would look like if she were wearing something different. She all but tried her best to ignore the looks that had crossed his still-dark-eyes, but struggled nonetheless.

"If you keep it up, I'm going to end up stabbing you with the needle - or maybe the scissors, depending on how long you keep pulling your…..antics." Raven threatened. She knew her words had little to no affect because Thorin all but snorted.

"You have a kinky side to you, Love." Thorin flirted. "Maybe we should test your threat. I'm all for seeing just how kinky you are."

"THORIN!" Bellowed the thirteen Company members while Dain and Gandalf chuckled.

"We'll just make sure no one is around first." Thorin smirked when Raven's face turned beet red from blushing, ignoring the outbursts.

"Keep it up," Raven threatened, "I might just stick the needle someplace else." She knew that didn't do much good. Thorin's smirk only broadened.

"You won't hear me complain." He grinned when Raven blushed even harder.

"Thorin….." Raven's tone was warning.

Thorin reached out and gently hooked his hand under her jaw. Moving his face so close his nose ghosted against the tip of Raven's, Thorin said, "I will leap off of this bed and show you just how shameless I can be if you keep enticing me, Love."

"Enticing you?" Raven let out a laugh. "I'm not the one who is sitting on the bed picturing me naked, thank you very much."

"Oh, but the red on your face and the look in your eyes suggests something different." Thorin's baritone rumbled and Raven felt herself melt. "Not too mention I can smell your essence, Love. And my, my, don't you smell good!" He purred.

"SHUT UUUP, THORIN!"

Thorin smirked! "Don't listen or go outside!" He hollered back while Raven blushed even harder.

Raven finished mending Thorin's foot but before she got the chance to do anything after putting the needle and thread down, Thorin pulled her onto his lap. Reaching his hands around behind her, he firmly grabbed her butt, which caused her to jerk upwards against him! She let out a squeal and he chuckled. Raven swatted him, but couldn't help but admit she was amused by everyone's groans and moans of protest while he laughed. She also couldn't help but admit to herself that the Dwarf King had a…..unique, way of making her feel loved whereas anyone else who tried doing what he did to her would only make her feel violated.

"Babies," Raven uttered before she could stop herself.

Thorin laughed. "Indeed." He agreed. "You're very kinky and naughty just as you are beautiful." He sighed. "But as much as I want to continue this, there are things we need to discuss, love; getting to know one another and the like..." Thorin let his sentence trail off; instead kissed Raven's flaming red cheeks from her blushing so hard and then pressed a lingering kiss to her forehead and nose. He finally had his One and he definitely was not letting her go!

"When do you want to talk?" Raven asked.

"After dinner." Thorin replied. "I just want to enjoy holding you until then." He lifted one of her hands and pressed a kiss to its back, then guided both of her arms to wrap around his neck then pulled her body against his!

Thorin was finally happy!

Thorin and Raven will get to know one another in the next chapter.
