R.K.: Hey, so today, we're doing a short fanfic called "Wild Night."
Snap: (looks at R.K.) Okay, seriously?
R.K.: Underage drinking is super real and it's a problem.
Snap: (sigh) Okay...
POV: Penny Sanchez
It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon and me, Rudy, and Snap were rehearsing for our most recent concert coming in tonight.
"So, are you ready?" I asked as I hopped onto the seat of the drum set I got for Christmas.
"Yep," Rudy said, flexing his fingers as he prepped himself.
Snap got ready to start it off. He began to play this song we were playing earlier this morning in ChalkZone.
As we were rehearsing, something unexpected happened. Two blonde-haired girls, presumably identical twins, were walking alongside each other and immediately looked at Snap.
"Who's that blue guy?" the first girl asked, looking pretty interested.
"I don't really care about that guy," the second girl scoffed. She was wearing a princess dress and had a tiara on her head.
Snap folded his arms in irritation. Rudy seemed outright offended.
"Hey, you can't say that about my friend!" Rudy practically lost his temper at her.
"Lana," the second girl whispered. "I heard something where if you hang out with a chalk drawing, you transform into one!"
Lana gasped, covering her mouth with her left hand. "Is that really true, Lola?"
"Yeah, what the heck were you thinking?" Lola said in a condescending yet sarcastic tone.
"Well, I don't know what to say," Lana quietly said.
"It's okay," I gently smiled, putting an arm around her. "I'd like to hang out with you right now. Besides, you can listen to us playing."
"Sure," she happily replied. "My name's Lana and that is my twin sister Lola."
Lola glared directly at Rudy in a condescending sort of way.
My heart sank. She probably hates his guts and thinks he gets on her nerves deliberately.
When they started playing, I already knew and began running to my drum set and began playing along with them.
But I sensed something was probably wrong.
POV: Snap White
A few hours later, we arrived at the destination of where we're playing.
"Is everything prepared?" Penny curiously asked.
Rudy nodded.
I gotta admit. For a twelve-year-old, she certainly knows how to get everyone into the mood.
As I started the guitar solo for a couple of minutes, there was somebody that was arriving.
It was that blonde-haired princess by the name of Lola. "Hey, everyone! I want you all to perform at a nightspot immediately. Fans are waiting for you."
We looked at each other. I sensed that something was going to go wrong.
Then we arrived at the nightspot, or as Lola called it a few seconds ago.
"We're here!" I announced.
The crowd began to cheer.
We walked up to center stage and began performing the song I've recently written not too long ago.
"And a-one, and a-two, and a-three!" I exclaimed.
We actually sounded better than I had ever hoped. The song, in case you were wondering, was officially called "Dude is a Vampire".
Then after the song, Lola talked to the "waiter" and handed me a drink of water because, well, I was super nervous about the next upcoming song.
"Thanks," I smiled affectionately.
"No problem," she said. "I'm going to get a drink for Rudy anyway. Just tell him I had to put on a layer of nail polish, will ya?"
About two seconds later, she returned with a drink of "water", which actually looked a lot similar to something.
Rudy took the drink, smiled directly at Lola, and drank it, only to unexpectedly then run out of the room and into a bathroom.
Then I looked at Penny, confused. "What's wrong with him? Is he sick or something?"
POV: Penny Sanchez
A few minutes later, Rudy was spending a long time in the bathroom somehow. I was really curious.
"Rudy? What's going on?" I curiously asked.
He didn't answer my question. But..
"My head really hurts, Penny, can you not talk so loudly?"
I looked at Snap.
"Is he feeling alright?" he asked.
"I'm not so sure," I said in a quieter voice than usual, so Rudy wouldn't yell directly at me. "I probably think he's not feeling very well."
"Um, speaking of which," Snap said in a lying voice, which didn't fool me this time. "Excuse me for a couple of seconds."
He quickly dashed to the bathroom, opened it, then closed the bathroom door.
Great, I thought to myself. Two sick guys to be dealing with. It can't get any better than this.
I started making my own earrings for the next fifteen minutes.
"Gee, Mom was right," I said to myself. "These earrings do look better with the French outfit I bought a few weeks ago."
Then I turned on the television and began watching my favorite show, Total Drama Island.
While watching it, I heard Rudy enter the room, judging by his footsteps, which were slower than usual.
"Whatcha watchin'?" Rudy curiously asked.
"Total Drama Island," I said.
"I thought you were going to watch that without my permission," he slightly smiled, sitting next to me. "Would you mind if I join the action?"
"Heck yeah," I happily replied.
We did a silent high-five and cheered, despite the fact that Rudy was still recovering from a serious headache.
POV: Rudy Tabootie
The following morning, I've already started feeling better than I was yesterday.
Heck, I did a cartwheel out of bed and accidentally crashed into something.
In what seemed like five minutes, I bolted out of the bedroom and into the living room, where I found Penny was making her own earrings.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Preparing for the next concert. Hopefully, it won't end like what happened yesterday."
Then, we discovered that without Snap, we already planned our next song.
"Should it be "It's Over Now, Isn't It?", "What's The Use of Feeling Blue?", or "Moonlight Densetsu?"" Penny curiously asked.
"Probably "Moonlight Densetsu"," I said in an affirmative yet respectful voice.
We burst out laughing.
A few hours later, it got pretty ridiculous when we arrived at the same place we did yesterday.
"So, I got you something," Lola returned, accompanied by a red-haired girl.
"Who's this?" Penny and I suddenly asked at the same time.
"This is Lindsey Sweetwater, my best friend," Lola happily replied.
"It's nice to meet you," Penny smiled.
Lindsey looked directly at me, then whispered something to Lola. I couldn't make out what they were talking about but I heard..
"Is he ten years old, per se?" Lindsey curiously asked.
"Yeah," Lola reluctantly replied. "He's pretty stupid. The idiot can't even fight his way out of anything, not even beat the heck out of somebody."
I nervously looked at Penny. "Is something wrong?"
"Well, they're gossiping about you," she explained.
"WHAT?!" I panicked. My throat tightened, my chest hurt, and I was hyperventilating.
Penny almost knew I was going to pass out, but unfortunately, the world went black.
POV: Penny Sanchez
"That kid must have some serious anxiety," Lola said. "Well, I'm going to get him a drink of water when he wakes up. Lindsey, can you keep a close eye on him?"
"Sure, Lola," Lindsey nodded in agreement.
A few minutes later, let's just say Lola and Lindsey were gossiping about Rudy again, right when he regained consciousness.
"Are you kidding?" Lola exclaimed. "I never knew that he had a massive crush on Penny."
I covered my mouth with my right hand.
Rudy looked directly at me, shocked. He turned away, blushing.
Infuriated, all that came out of my mouth was: "YOU WHAT?"
"Penny," he nervously said, slowly backing away.
"This is unacceptable!" I practically screamed. "You.." but my anger completely stopped. "..well, I guess I like you as well, but.."
"YES!" Rudy exclaimed, hugging me tightly.
I awkwardly smiled.
He then touched my upper arm and quietly said my name.
"What?"
Then I tripped and accidentally kissed him on the lips.
"YEAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" The crowd started screaming and cheering.
Girls were clapping their hands and boys were screaming and tearing off their shirts.
I released him and he literally was in shock from the experience.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"Well, yeah," he explained. "Wanna be my sidekick in crime?"
"Yes," I cheerfully replied. We kissed again, and then Snap noticed this immediately.
"BUCKETTE?!" he practically was freaking out.
POV: Snap White
I was shocked to see my creator and his so-called "girlfriend" kissing each other for the first time.
"Are you out of your mind, Rudy?" I shook my head.
Rudy nervously smiled. (I hate it when he does that. It happens every darn time he starts with a series of stammerings, an unusual rise in vocal tone, cocking the head to the right, and shuffling of the feet.)
Penny was confused, but overall weirded out for some strange reason.
"Well, we're trying our hardest to maintain our best friend relationship," Rudy awkwardly said. "Are you upset at me or her?"
My thoughts were telling me to not fall for this sort of thing, but again, why the heck would he kiss her on the lips?
Lola and a girl with reddish-orange hair were gossiping about somebody behind my back, and that somebody was me.
"So, did you hear that he goes stupid every time Queen Rapsheeba walks into the room?" Lola curiously asked.
"That's so silly," the redhead giggled. "I can't believe you knew that and he didn't keep it a secret."
I covered my mouth in shock. Did they just…gossip right in front of me?
Penny glanced directly at Rudy for a couple of seconds, looking concerned.
"What an idiot," Lola said, slightly laughing. "Lindsey, remind me to slap him across the face every time she walks into the room."
That was it. My heart pounded faster and faster, I was ready to beat the heck out of her, and it was really hard to breathe.
"Okay, what the heck were you thinking?" I asked. Despite the fact that I have a New Jersey/Bronxian accent, it's no surprise that it's easy to understand what I'm saying. "Reputations are being wrecked all over the place because of your gossiping issue."
"Well, it's not my fault you have a massive crush on Rapsheeba," Lindsey checked her nails.
"It's not my fault that I might punch you in the face," I wittily said through clenched teeth.
"You are totally worthless."
The tension that was happening between Snap and Lindsey was a little too much. I was worried that Snap might accidentally hurt himself trying to protect me.
But then, something happened.
"You're worthless," Lindsey said in a condescending tone through clenched teeth. She was holding him by the front of his shirt.
Then she kicked him right in the leg, immobilizing him.
"Are you okay?" I curiously asked.
"That stupid girl isn't getting away with anything," Snap quietly said to himself.
Penny didn't know what to say because she was upset by what just happened right in front of her.
What happened right in front of me was pretty much terrifying.
Snap then walked off right before I could say anything.
"Snap, what's going on between you and Lindsey/Lola?"
"It's none of your business," he said in a reluctant tone. "It's just between me and her. Nobody else can get involved or start meddling with the conversation."
"I knew she was a big snob, but did she just call you worthless?" I curiously asked.
He turned around, but then stormed out of the room.
"Oh, yeah," Lola realized something. "Snap needs to be slender like those popular television models that I've seen fifteen minutes ago."
Snap turned his head in her direction. "You're such a-"
"Are other things going on right now?" I curiously asked, almost interrupting him.
He sighed with exasperation and looked directly at me. "No, and did I just say that it's none of your business? Yeah. So, why don't you butt out before I start talking about you and her?"
Almost offended, I tried to defend myself, but I accidentally slapped him across the face.
"RUDY!" he exclaimed, now looking me in the eyes. His expression practically read "How could you?"
POV: Penny Sanchez
As we started walking all the way to ChalkZone a few days later, me and Rudy had a little conversation concerning what the gossip is doing to Snap.
"So, why the heck does Lola hate me and Lindsey hates Snap?" Rudy asked.
"Well," I explained. "Rudy, it must be that you did something wrong, apparently."
"I didn't do anything wrong!" Rudy practically screamed, getting defensive. "She hates me for some weird reason and that's just about it."
"It's perfectly normal for certain people to hate you for no reason," I said.
"But why does she have to hate me?"
The first thing that came out of my mouth was: "I'm not so sure about that.."
Snap, however, overhead the entire conversation and glared at both me and Rudy.
POV: Penny Sanchez
Me and Rudy exchanged worried glances. Was something bad going to happen?
After a few minutes, ironically, we started a new conversation, to avoid mentioning the emotional tension between Snap and Lindsey.
But Lola arrived with Lindsey.
"Are you ready for that beauty pageant competition?" Lindsey asked.
"Heck yeah," Lola cheerfully replied.
They burst into laughter.
"What the heck are you doing here, Tabootie? I thought only artists belonged in their special place," Lola said with irritation.
"I am in my own special place right now," Rudy sarcastically said. "Can't you leave me alone for at least an hour?"
"You never get anything right," she explained. "Your drawing is just totally different from how I would usually draw it."
"Yeah," Lindsey said in agreement.
He looked like he was ready to beat the heck out of them.
"Can you just leave?" Rudy said through clenched teeth. I could see he's already irritated.
"You sound like one of those bleeding-heart liberals," Lola said.
"Sticks and stones may break my bones but words wi-" Rudy was about to say.
But she never stopped insulting Rudy in the most cruel and condescending way I could ever think of.
A second later, she apparently started talking to Craniac 4.
"Cool it," I walked over to both of the girls.
Lindsey turned around and noticed I was preparing myself for everything that was going to happen.
"Well, if it isn't that person that I don't ever care about," she said.
A notification came on my phone, and you wouldn't believe what she said about me.
'The loser who has a massive crush on Queen Rapsheeba,' the post said. 'If your name is Snap, then you should be ashamed... Why are you such a nerd?'
Tears started welling up in my eyes. I buried my face into my gloves, starting to feel like a real loser. I ran out before Rudy and Penny could even look directly at me.
"Lindsey, leave him alone," Rudy got irritated relatively quickly.
"Well, it's true," she defensively lied. "I've seen other artists draw better than you."
"Where the heck is Snap?" Penny curiously asked.
"I don't know," Rudy said, his voice breaking. He was on the verge of tears.
I bumped right into Queen Rapsheeba herself.
"Queenie..!" I started feeling strangely hot for some reason. Of course, I was blushing.
"What's been going on? You've not been your normal self lately," she began talking.
"It was probably cyberbullying," I explained. "You know, I've never been bullied before."
"That's great to know," Queenie explained. "I've been thinking about being in a relationship.."
Almost then, my vision began getting blurry and I just had to sit down. Unfortunately, I felt sick, too. But everything went to black.
"Can you get somebody over here?" a voice asked. It turned out to be Queen Rapsheeba, ChalkZone's celebrity rap star.
POV: Rudy Tabootie
"What's the matter?" I curiously asked.
"Snap just fainted out of nowhere," she explained.
Tears welled up in my eyes. "No..it can't be.."
I ran faster than I usually did and accidentally tripped over something.
But then, wolves started howling and I was in ChalkZone's forest, alone and helpless.
"Where the heck is it-" I wondered under my breath as I shifted my hand through my pocket for the Magic Chalk. Then my voice started breaking over and over again.
Stupid voice, I thought.
AHA! The chalk was stolen somehow or somethin' like that.
In my mind, my voice is perfectly fine, but in reality, it wasn't.
Then, I unknowingly tripped again for the second time! I felt sick to my stomach and spat out the remaining mud and dirt.
Blood was on the ground. I spit some blood and immediately noticed…
My bucktooth―the one that makes me a normal person―was lying on the ground. I quickly grabbed it and felt myself trembling in fear.
No…this can't be happening… I thought.
I started to think that it was going to make me like one of those TV people, which was my worst nightmare.
Wolves started surrounding me and were very hungry for flesh.
"Please don't attack me," I whimpered.
They got closer and closer.
I had no choice. I let out the loudest scream in the entire universe.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
POV: Penny Sanchez
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Snap and I looked directly at each other. "We're doomed."
"What should we do?" I curiously asked.
"Well, it's probably-"
We ran right to the forest, all by ourselves.
"Rudy, where are you?" Snap asked with a concerned look on his face.
"Rudy!" I tried calling his name.
No response.
When we arrived at our destination, we found Rudy was cornered by a bunch of wolves.
One thing was missing.. I thought to myself. His bucktooth..of course.
It was laying on the ground and he was obviously trying to protect himself from the wolf pack.
A wolf started attacking him. It clawed his knee, making blood blast out of the wound.
Then I felt somebody falling into my arms.
"Hm?" I thought.
Looking directly at Snap, I noticed that he just fainted.
But then, I was anxiously watching Rudy trying to throw a few stones directly at them. He made himself appear scarier than he actually was.
The wolves apparently left, but then one sneaked up and scratched his wounded knee, spraying blood everywhere.
Some got on me, but my life flashed before my eyes.
A fountain of blood already hit and some got in my mouth.
"GROSS!" I thought, wiping the taste away.
Then I noticed Rudy, who was panting a little. He suddenly collapsed in my arms.
POV: Rudy Tabootie
I regained consciousness, discovering that Penny was holding an unconscious Rudy in her arms.
"Did I miss anything?" I questioned.
"Well, there was a lot of blood," Penny explained. "You won't believe me, but I accidentally got blood in my mouth. It tasted awful, believe it or not."
Snap handed me the Magic Chalk and I drew a glass of water.
Unfortunately, this made things more difficult.
When I arrived in the real world and entered Rudy's bedroom unknowingly, something unexpected happened.
"Ruuuuu~dyyyyyyyy!"
Unfortunately, Mrs. Tabootie had to call Rudy.
I tried my best to call 911 and leapt out the bedroom window, still holding my new boyfriend.
An ambulance drove in and the fire department caught me somehow.
"Are you okay, ma'am?" the firefighter asked.
"I-"
After noticing what was going on, a firefighter noticed.
"Hey, what happened to his tooth?" the paramedic asked.
"He tripped and severely injured his tooth," I explained. "Also, he fainted, or as it seems."
"Let's get his orthodontist over here," a female paramedic said.
A few hours began to pass as I read a magazine in the orthodontist's office.
I reminded myself that injuries can heal and show something important.
About forty-eight hours later, nobody notices Rudy was even missing.
"Well, well," Reggie Bullnerd said. "Are you interested in Pokémon?"
"Yep." and so began the weird friendship between Reggie and me.
