This is about a girl named Rosella. Until she was about seven years old, she had a faithful life. She lived happily with her mother and father in a beautiful house in Maryland. It was a perfect life, they had each other with their hopes and dreams along with their desires as well. Then one day, something terrible has happened when Rosella and her parents were on their way home from an amusement park.
An accidental curve caused the car to crash into a ditch and killed Rosella's mother and father. This is a horrible thing that can happen to two beloved kind loyal parents. Their troubles if they have any any all, were over in fourteen seconds. For Rosella however, her troubles were just the beginning.
She was sent away to live with her step uncle. He is her father's step brother and his name is Edgar and I'm sorry to say it, but he's a really horrible person. He treated Rosella like a prisoner and a slave. As time went on, Rosella became sadder and more lonely than ever before.
After Rosella lived with her step uncle for two years, there came a time when she did something that she should've done since living with her step uncle. It happened when she was informed by him that he's going out with some friends for a few drinks and won't be back till morning. That gave her the opportunity to run away.
Carrying nothing but her mother's necklace and scarf, her father's good luck charm and class ring and a photo of her and her parents in a bag that she made, Rosella was on her way to freedom. She wasn't sure where she would go, but she knows destiny is calling her.
