Beautiful Princess

In the Mushroom Kingdom, there was a majestic castle that overlooked everything. The castle belonged to Princess Peach Blossom Toadstool, the 18 year old blonde beauty. She was beautiful, smart, and wonderful company. However, there had been tragedy when she was just only a baby.

There was a war between the Toads and the Koopas. At the current time, Bowser was a prince and his parents were fair rulers of the land. However, the Koopa Kingdom was in a lot of debt. So, they reached to their neighbors surrounding them. They asked and asked but all of the kingdoms said no.

Mostly because the Koopas couldn't be trusted with funds. Peach's parents were kind enough to help them but it quickly came at a price. They would open trades with them and pay off their debts, so long as Bowser married nobility. At the time, Peach's mom was pregnant with her. So her dad promised Peach to Bowser even before she was born.

However, by the time Peach was born, her engagement was broken. Bowser didn't feel like waiting for a human spouse, since Koopa and humans have different time clocks. So he, instead, married a Koopa named Bonita. Course it cause mayhem when Bowser's parents declined him the throne and Peach's parents backed out of the deal.

They had found out what the neighboring kingdoms already knew. That if there was any merger with Koopa Kingdom, the kingdom that was willing enough to be nice would fall faster than a tree that is needed for firewood. They were pure evil, no doubt about it. And with their trade being mostly drugs - and those are like deadly poison to the Toads...

Peach's parents were glad to back out of that deal. Unfortunately, it didn't help with the disaster that soon came. Bowser not only killed his parents, declaring himself and Bonita the new king and queen - but as a revenge - he killed Peach's parents. Toadsworth and Peach were out that day.

Peach did remember Toadsworth telling me how horrid it was when he found them dead. The war lasted until Peach's 3rd birthday. That's when Toad soldiers managed to capture the castle. Inside was Bonita...and a baby boy. They said that they left the boy alone, thinking that the boy might bring peace.

Bonita was protective of Bowser Jr. until the very end. Her death brought them peace. Peach did feel badly for Bowser but she wasn't bound to marry him. She would much rather marry Peasley from the Bean Bean Kingdom than anyone else.

"You are deep in thought." A voice stated, snapping Peach out of her thoughts.

Peach turned and saw Toadette standing there, smiling. Peach returned the smile.

"I guess I was," Peach confessed.

"About what?" Toadette asked, bringing over a brush.

Peach merely shrugged as she sat down. Toadette hopped up on a stool, brushing Peach's soft blonde hair slowly and steadily. Peach sighed softly, looking out the balcony of her room.

"D-do you ever think I'll be ever able to see the outside world?" She asked suddenly.

Ever since her parents death, Toadsworth kept her in the castle, away from people he was worried that might get her hurt. Toadette sighed now, still focused on her work.

"I do not know, princess." She finally answered.

"I'm just so tired of being stuck in the castle." Peach pouted.

"You are staying in this castle, young lady." Toadsworth stated, coming into the room.

"Toadsworth..." Toadette sighed sadly.

"And why not?!" Peach asked, hissing a bit.

"You are a princess!" He pointed out.

"Then maybe I don't want to be a princess anymore!" She yelled, turning her back on Toadsworth.

Toadsworth left, in a huff. Toadette followed, sadly. She hated seeing Peach like this, trapped in her own castle essentially. Toadette could only hope things would get better. Instead, it was getting worse. Peach was going to be Queen soon...
