Chapter Two: Getting To Sell
After the trio of the New York Pizza Cats; Sundance, Cosmo, and Deedee, alongside Sundance's girlfriend, Lucinda, who is the New York version of Lucille, had been picked up at New York's JFK Airport in Princess Vi's private jet, they all set off to Oakland.
After a long while of flying, they finally land at Jack London Square, and the group set off to the A's headquarters, determined to make the Athletics a great baseball team again.
After making it inside, a guard asked them, "Do you have any reservations or are you associated with any other Major League teams?"
Polly, as strong as she was, shoved him aside, saying, "We are here to see both John Fisher and Dave Kaval."
The guard then proceeded to escort the group outside, saying "No can do. You need to have some sort of reservation with him, or be a person associated with the other 29 owners. You all are gonna have to leave."
In a flash, Speedy went for his swords, and Sundance went for his gun. They both said, "How about you try and make us, will ya?!"
The guard then responded by also pulling out his gun and aiming it at the two cats. "Don't you try and threaten me with that, you two. Also, it's not October, and it's definitely not Halloween, so get those costume getups off."
Polly, who was already fuming a bit, pushed him again, saying, "First, you don't point guns like that at my husband, or I am gonna hit you so hard, it makes getting hit by Aroldis Chapman's 106 mile an hour pitch seem like nothing. Second, these are not costumes. They are real, alright."
The guard, who had now gotten frustrated too, called for some backup, then proceeded to tell Polly, "Yeah, right. Also, from what I heard, apparently some call you "Old Halibut Breath". Boy, are they not wrong."
Another guard, who had came after the first one called backup, took one look at Lucille and Lucinda, then said, "You both really look as stupid as you both are. Do you both know anything else than to even not know how to breathe?"
Major mistake. Lucille and Lucinda, who were both prone to being overly-emotional, began crying. Hard. Speedy, Guido, and Sundance knew where this was going, and Speedy then said, "Oh boy… he had just signed his death wish!" Guido and Sundance then shouted out, "EVERYONE, TAKE COVER! SHE'S GONNA BLOW!"
Everyone proceeds to hid behind any furniture they could find, as Lucille's missiles were about to be set off, and so did fire from Lucinda's minigun hairdo. Meanwhile, Polly began chasing the guard that insulted her earlier. She ran at him, shouting, "WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT ME?! YOU HAVE JUST SIGNED YOUR DEATH WISH!"
At that very moment, Polly took her claws out, then continued to chase after the guard until she leaped at him, then proceeded to shred him to bits. As if that were not enough, Deedee then came at him, with her whip out, cracked it, then said, "You have been REAL, REAL bad… I think I need to whip you up into shape!" in which she then proceeded to beat him too with her whip.
The guard then started screaming in pain and agony, and in desperation to get Polly and Deedee to stop beating on him, started saying, "Y-you are two nice kitties… HELP ME!"
Speedy and Sundance then began laughing to themselves, at Polly and her counterpart from New York beating the guard up, then said to him, "Oh, they are nice kitties, alright… just not around the likes of you!"
The second guard, meanwhile, was trying to evade the fire of Lucille's missiles, and the additional minigun fire from Lucinda, but it was no use, as he was hit by one of the explosions, then was sent into a bookshelf.
Polly, who was now holding the guard who now had been clawed up and beaten from a whip, then said to him, "You will let us in there, or should I use you as a bat in the next All Star Game Home Run Derby?" The guard then said, "F-fine… you win! Just don't hurt me much more!"
With a smile, Polly then said, "Thank you very much." She then pulled out her kodachi, then knocked him out instantly.
After that very moment, Princess Vi then shouted, "GUARDS! SEND THESE TWO IDIOTS TO PRISONERS' ISLAND!"
Captain Kiryu then stepped forward, saluted, then said, "Yes, Your Highness. You guys know what to do."
At that moment, two of Princess Vi's guards then sent them away to a waiting helicopter to send them to Prisoners' Island, and sent them off.
Guido then calmed Lucille down by massaging her shoulders, and Sundance did the same with Lucinda. Once everything had settled, both couples pulled into a hug, then soon pulled away. After that was dealt with, Guido pulled out his umbrella, then got the katana he had hidden in it. Polly then also got her flute out, Good Bird got his sword out, Cosmo got his rapier, and Deedee cracked her whip once again. Then Princess Vi got her Naginata, while Francine pulled out a frying pan.
Speedy pulled out his Ginzu swords, while Sundance drew his gun once again, then performed their finishing moves, blasting the door of John Fisher and Dave Kaval's office, alongside a bit of the walls. One of the guards there tried charging at them, but then got bashed in the head by Cosmo, knocking him out instantly. Good Bird then got duct tape from a nearby cabinet, and then tied him up. He then took position with Princess Vi and Francine on the right of the door, Speedy, Polly, and Guido went to the middle, while Sundance, Deedee, and Cosmo took the left. The owner and president of the team looked around him, then both said, "WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT?!"
Speedy and Sundance then replied, "All of us are here today to get you to sell the Oakland Athletics. For years, and especially recently, you have been selling off your best players in an effort to intentionally devalue your franchise to move them away to Las Vegas. Even your team's fanbase is sick and tired of this devaluing you are doing so you can have an excuse to blame fans for not showing up. The A's now are worse than before. Now, make those phone calls to sell the team, cancel the Las Vegas relocation plans, or it's gonna get ugly!" Fisher then said, "Kaval, I think you know what to do next." The president then nodded, picked up the phone, and screamed, "I NEED SECURITY TO THE OFFICE, NOW!"
Speedy and Sundance looked at each other, smiled, then both said, "If it's the hard way you want… THEN IT'S THE HARD WAY YOU WILL GET!"
Next chapter: Our heroes beat the guards that have been sent to try and get them out, and after a scuffle involving Sundance, our heroes get Fisher and Kaval to sell the team to Joe Lacob and cancel the relocation plans to Las Vegas, saving the team's future in Oakland. Find out what happens next time in Chapter Three: The A's Are Saved.
