Meeting of the Minds

When Peach got to the other side of the pipe, she automatically knew it wasn't the Mushroom Kingdom. Instead, it was a school...in the upper world. 'So this is the upper world... It's amazing...' She thought, in awe. 'At least nooneknows me here.' Peach continued to walk along the campus, not noticing that some guys were eyeing her, including Luigi's bullies. She was rather beautiful and they were all starting to drool. Satoji saw this and her.

'She's new here,' he thought. The bullies that were eyeing her started to get closer to her. Satoji watched from a reasonable distance, with a bad feeling.

"Hey, you are new here." The leader, a black man, stated.

Peach turned to them as she smiled softly and replied, "Yeah, I've never been here."

'Or to the upper world period,' she thought but didn't add. The black man smirked as the bullies chuckled softly. Peach knew she was in danger almost immediately.

"So you won't object to a little hanky-panky?" The leader asked.

Peach paled instantly as she tried to run away from them. But the bullies surrounded her, all with smirks on their faces. The leader pushed her down to her knees, smirking. Satoji saw this and got to his feet. He ran over to them. But the leader was prepared for him. He snapped his fingers, letting his Hispanic crony tackle him down. Satoji struggled, trying to get free.

"Let her go!" Satoji yelled.

"Shut up, you Japanese brat!" The Hispanic hissed.

Peach whimpered but before the leader could make a move, he was punched clear across. The gang froze instantly as they all saw Luigi there, including Satoji and Peach.

"Is that..." A white male started to ask.

"Yeah, that is Luigi!" The Chinese male confirmed.

"He just punched Jerome!" The Hispanic breathed.

Jerome got to his feet as he saw Luigi standing in front of Peach. Peach was shocked at his bravery. Who was he? Luigi, right? Jerome swiped some blood from his mouth, seeing that his right cheek was bleeding badly.

"Don't you have any respect for a woman?!" Luigi hissed. "It's fine when you pick on me but not when you pick on a woman!"

Peach was in awe by this, a small blush on her face. Satoji was too but more than Peach. 'Luigi, when did you get this fire in your soul,' Satoji thought.

"No one cares about you, Luigi," Jerome hissed. He smirked and added, coldly, "Not even your brother Mario."

Luigi's expression suddenly turned sad but then to pure anger. Peach could see his legs shaking. 'He is scared,' Peach thought. 'He's terrified...' Luigi ran towards Jerome, punching him multiple times in the face. He even kicked him, not giving an inch. The gang watched in horror as their leader was being beaten by the weakling they had no idea could kick butt. Jerome fell to the ground, bleeding badly.

"H-he beat Jerome!" The white male breathed.

"Let's get out here!" The Chinese male stated.

"Right!" The Hispanic agreed.

The three of them ran off, in a mass panic. Satoji got to his feet, still in shock about the whole thing. Luigi's voice break him out of his thoughts.

"You okay, Satoji?" He asked.

"Y-yeah, I'm okay," Satoji confirmed.

Luigi nodded as he turned to Peach. Peach's face was completely red at this point. She was in total and complete awe of this man. 'Luigi,' she thought.

"Are you okay?" Luigi asked, offering his hand to help her get up.

Peach merely nodded, taking his hand. Luigi helped her help, Peach tripping a bit. Luigi caught her, wrapping his arm around her waist. Luigi, at this point, was blushing. He wasn't as red as Peach, though. Peach was as red in the face. The two of them just stared at each other, as if they were memorized by each other's blue eyes.

"Y-yes, thank you," Peach answered, after a long silence.

Luigi quickly took his arm off from around her waist, his blush thick. Satoji was trying not to laugh. 'He just saved her life and he already fell in love, literally,' he thought, chuckling. Luigi offered his left hand to Peach, smiling.

"I'm Luigi James Manfredi," Luigi introduced.

Peach shook his hand with her right hand and replied, "And I'm Peach."

They shook hands as Satoji added, bowing respectfully, "I am Satoji."

Peach returned the bow, unaware that Kamek was watching from a distance.
