I moved to Oakland in January.In January I moved to Oakland. And found a specific coffee shop. And I went there everyday for 3 months. I ordered my drink and sat down. Then one day I randomly realized that the man who has come to know my order is none other than Jakob Armstrong.And started laughing. Jakob blinks. I gasp out through the tears that are running down my face "I just realized who you are! You're Billie Joe's son!" Jakob smirks and raises an eyebrow. "Took you long enough." He says. And then Billie Joe walks in. I blink. He blinks. "Um hi? I'm Billie Joe Armstrong." He says. I raise an eyebrow. "I like how you assume I don't know who you are. I'm Zak". "Nice to meet you" he says. I take a sip of my coffee. I sigh. Billie Joe looks at me. "You ok?" he says. "I never would have imagined meeting you here" I say. "Would you like to meet the boys?" he says. "Of course I would! I'm not an American idiot!" I say. Billie Joe and Jakob snort. Billie Joe calls Tré and Mike and they walk in.

CHAPTER 2

I blink. "...ummmm" I say. "UM SIR?!?!?!" I turn to Billie Joe. "THATS MR. MIKE DIRNT!" I say through tears. "And and and Mr. Tré!" They blink. "I know someone th at reminds me of Tré." I whisper sadly. Tré blinks. "You do? What are they like?" He says. "Umm. Wellll... he's funny, kind and one of my best friends." I say. Tré blinks. "Sounds exactly like me!" He says. I look at Mike. I smirk. He narrows his eyes. "Mike Dirnt for president" I say. He blinks. Billie Joe says "Now that's an idea!" I smile. The door opens. Jason White walks in. I glance at Jason. "Hmmm. Billie Joe, sir?" I say. "Yes?" He says. "Do you know who that is?!" I say almost crying again. Jason blinks. Billie Joe says "yes do you?" I say "thats Jason white!" I smirk. "He's the reason I started playing guitar again." I said. Mike blinks. Tré snorts and raises an eyebrow. "Odd that it's him and not Billie Joe." Tré said. I look at Tré. "Not trying to be an asshole here, but not everything's about him." I said. I walk out, making sure to slam the door on the way out. Billie Joe blinks. "That was confusing..." he says. Tré blinks. "No shit, really?" Tré said sarcastically.

Meanwhile I'm outside the coffee shop pacing. "Should someone see if he's ok?" Jason asked. Mike volunteers. I sit in a chair outside of the coffee shop. Mike walks out. "Are you ok? What happened?" He asked.I sigh. "Honestly I don't know" I say. "I think it has something to do with something that happened a while back, just before I moved here. And I'm still trying to process that." I say. Mike blinks. "Wanna talk about it?" He asks. I sigh. "I don't know" I say. Meanwhile Billie Joe and Tré are watching from a table inside the coffee shop. "Do you think it's something I said?" Billie Joe asks. "I have no clue" Tré says. Back outside, I look at Mike. I say, "I lost my favorite family member the day before I moved here. It's actually the reason I moved here." I said. Mike frowns. "Do you want a hug?" He said. I nod. He hugs me. "Ready to go back in?" He asked. "Yes." I said. We walk back in. I apologize to Billie Joe. Billie Joe shrugs and says "shit happens". I look at my bag. Then I look at Tré. I smirk. "I have a bad feeling" he says. I blink. "I found some glowy drumsticks a while back. Do you want them?" I ask. Tré blinks and says "that's literally the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Of course I do." I hand him the drumsticks. "I'm bored. Who wants to play Green Day rockband?" Billie Joe says. I raise an eyebrow. "The better question my dude, is do I wanna play drums, bass, lead, or sing?" I said. Tré wheezes. "Shut it Tré." I say laughing. "I would like to try the drums" I say. I think of my brother and frown. "I normally have to figh my brother to play bass." I say sadly. Mike blinks. "I'm a better bassist than he is though." I say. Tré walks to the door. "Imma go play Green Day rockband. Who wants to come?" He said. "I do" I say running after him. Billie Joe laughs. "What do you say Mike? Shall we go play rockband?" He says, walking towards the door. Mike shrugs. "I wonder what type of guitar Zak uses when he plays rockband?" Mike says following Billie Joe.

Chapter 4

The door bell rings. I go and answer it. I blink. Mr. Jason blinks. "BILLIE JOE! They're here! Come on in." I say. Mr. Jason and Kevin blink. They enter the house, and we walk into the living room. "That's Harry" I say pointing to Harry. "I'm Zak" I say. "Nice to meet you" they say. "Likewise" I say. I blink. "what other songs do you like?" Billie Joe says. "Umm Holiday, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, 21 Guns, Warning, All by Myself" I say. Tré blinks. I smile. The door bell rings again. "OH HELL NO! This is turning into the unexpected journey" I say. I run out.I open the door. Standing there is Brian, a long time friend of mine. "BRIAN?!" I yell. Billie Joe yells from the living room "Zak are you ok?" Brian enters the house and follows me to the living room. "Um, Zak? Why is Green Day in your living room?" He said. "Billie Joe got bored and wanted to play Green Day rockband' I said casually. Brian blinks. Brian looks around. "Harry?!" Brian said. Harry gets up and walks over and hugs Brian. "This is one of my friend from back home, Brian" I said. "Hi yalls" he said. Billie Joe, Mike, Tré, Jason, Jason F., and Kevin all wave to him. "Do you want to play Green Day rockband with us?" I ask. Brian says "No thanks." I sit in front of the drum kit. Nico raises an eyebrow. I blush. Mike blinks. I shrug. "Didn't Harry already say that I think highly of Mike?" I ask. Mike nods. "Buuuuuuuut...he's hotter" I say, pointing to Nico. Billie Joe blinks. "Can I ask how you heard about Green Day?" Billie Joe asks. "A friend shared a link to their Spotify playlist that had Holiday and Boulevard of Broken Dreams on it" I say. Harry blinks. "Without Green Day I wouldn't have met Nico" I say blushing. "How did you meet?" Billie Joe asks. I laugh. "I was hanging out with some of Nico's friend who I had become friends with. And one day, Nico showed up with them while I was literally blaring Know Your Enemy, and he says 'I like Green Day too'. So we started hanging out. And six months later I finally asked him out" I reply. I blush. "That was 3 years ago in March" Nico says, smiling. "Best 3 years of my life" I said. I smile. I look at Mike. I blink."MIKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE can you teach me how to play So watcha want by the beastie boys on bass? pleassssssssseeeeeee?" I ask. Mike shrugs. "I guess. And I'll throw in BOBD as well" he says. I look around. "is anyone hungry?" I asked. Tré says "I am".

I make him a sandwich and throw it at him.

LOCATION: ZAK'S HOME

Billie Joe pulls up to my house. We walk in. Mike looks around.

I debate telling Mike about the 6oo fender Stratocaster I threw across the room when I got angry. I look at Mike. I blink. Billie Joe looks at me.

Im lost in thought about the Stratocaster so I dont notice. Billie Joe notices where I am looking and coughs. Tré also looks and smirks. I sigh. Mike looks back at me. He coughs. I am startled. "..." I blush. "I- I- I- I have something to tell you." I stutter out, avoiding eye contact. Tré smirks. I notice Tré smirk. " I- I- I- I threw that across the room." I point to the rockband feeder Stratocaster sitting next to my tv. Mike blinks. I blink. Billie Joe and Tré just watch the drama unfold. Mike steps closer to me. "IT"S BILLIE JOE"S FAULT!" I yell, running to stand behind Billie Joe. Mike stops. Billie Joe blinks. "What?!" Billie Joe says. "Ya. You heard me!" I say. "YOU AND YOUR STUPID IDEA TO MAKE A GREEN DAY ROCKBAND GAME!" I add. I start crying again. I sit on the couch staring at the guitar with a haunted look. Billie Joe blinks. Billie Joe looks at me. Jason blinks. "Thats not a good enough excuse to throw a guitar!" Mike yells at me. "Is anger from grief and depression a good enough excuse?!" I yell back glaring at him. "News flash sir! I used to play with my brother and his friend. And now my brother is gone." I say. I point to the other guitar that has dust all over it. "That was his!" "And now he's halfway across the fucking country and never visits me!" I walk out of the room. Mike blinks. Tré looks from Billie Joe to Mike to Jason. I walk into my room and sit on my bed. Tré asks " He's clearly upset with Mike. Should I go talk to him this time?" Billie Joe snorts. "You or Jason." He said. Tré walks out of the room to my room. Tré knocks on the door frame. "Can I come in?" He said. I shrug. "Sure." I respond. Tré walks over to the desk chair and sits down.

I sigh and lay back on the pillow. "Billie Joe and Mike are gonna hate me'. I say.

Tré blinks and says "I am almost certain they won't. I won't let them." "Do you wanna go play rockband now?" he says. I nod and walk out. I point to the empty room next to mine. "That was his." I said. I walk back into the living room with Tré following. I pick up the Fender Stratocaster. "I'm sorry I yelled at you Mike. There is literally never a good enough excuse to throw a guitar." I said. Mike says "Apology accepted." Mike says. My phone rings. "Hello?" I say confused. The voice on the other end says "Zak, go look outside." I walk over to the window and look out side and start crying. Standing outside is my brother. I scream. Billie Joe runs in. "I- I- I-" I stutter, pointing to the window. Billie Joe looks out the window. "Is that your brother?" he asks.

I nod. I run out of the room yelling "Mikeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee."

Mike looks up startled. I run to the door and throw it open. "HARRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY" I yelled excited. Mike, Billie Joe, and Tré walk to the door. I tackle Harrison. I point to Mike, Billie Joe and Tré, saying "Loooooook!" Tré whispers "How much you wanna bet that's Zak's brother?".

I drag Harrison over to them, visibly shaking with excitement. I point to him. Tré looks at Harry, then looks at me. "Hmmmmm. That's weird." he says. "I told you my brother reminds me of Tré!" I said. Tré blinks and then laughs. "Have you played Green Day rockband recently?" Harry asks. I shake my head. Harry yells "I call bass!"

I look at Mike like 'I told you we fight over bass'. "How about we let the professional bassist play bass? You can sing." I said. Mike snorts. "Tré said I could play drums" I say smugly. Harry frowns. Billie Joe laughs. Harry turns to look at him and freezes. "I- I- I- YOU'RE STRATOCASTER DUDE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!" Harry said. I fall over laughing. Billie Joe looks confused. I blush and facepalm. Jason blinks. "Uh Zak... who's that?!" Harry says. "That's Jason White" I say. Harry blinks. I stand up. "Do you know who I am" Tré says.

Harry looks at him and tilts his head.

I cross my fingers behind my back.

"I am almost positive you are Tré" Harry says.

Tré nods.

We all walk back inside.

I sit on the couch.

Harry sits next to me.

Mike, Tré, Jason, and Billie Joe sit on the couches in front of the television.

I turn on the game and get the instruments out and set them up. "Mike do you want to play bass on my Fender Stratocaster?" I ask.

He shrugs and says "Sure."

I hand him my guitar. I pull over a chair and set it in front of the drum kit. I smirk.

"Wait until you hear Harry sing" I say.

Billie Joe blinks. I laugh.

"He's really good" I say. "I failed at singing on medium so badly, that Mr. Tré over there literally got up and yelled at you and Mike" I say.

"Is that where the hashtag don't yell at Mike Dirnt comes from?" Tre asks.

I nod, blushing.

"My brother thinks very highly of Mike" Harry says.

"Is that what that one tiktok was referring to?" Mike asked.

I nod. Then I realize what Mike said and start crying. "IT WAS YOU WHO LIKED MY TIKTOK ON THE GREEN DAY ACCOUNT?!?!?!?!?!" I say through my tears.

Mike nods.

Harry smirks. "Shut up Harry" I say.

"Who wants to play lead guitar?" I ask. Harry yells "Me!" "No stupid. You're singing!"

"I will" Tré says.

Harry and I look at each other. We both laugh.

Tré blinks. I say "its not every day you get to hear a professional drummer play guitar!" I smile. Harry says "You're actually pretty good!" Mike asks "What song would you like to do first?" Harry and I look at each other and start to sing boulevard of broken dreams as horribly as we can. Jakob snorts. "I take it you like that song?" He asks. I blink. "I think like is a huge understatement here" Harry says. Billie Joe looks at me and raises an eyebrow. I look at the ground. Jason asks "Do you have a specific version you like?" I look at him. "Actually I do. On Spotify its the Milton Keynes one. And on YouTube its a live one." I reply. Mike blinks. Billie Joe's phone rings. "This is Billie Joe. How can I help you?" The voice on the other end asks something. Billie Joe says "we got bored so we left." Billie Joe says "hang on lemme ask. Zak? Can Jason F. and Kevin come hang out?" "Um sure" I say. Billie Joe gives them the address and hangs up. I gasp loudly. "HARRY WE SHOULD FACETIME MOM!" I say. He cackles. "Yasssssssssssss!" He said. I fall over laughing, saying "say you listen to Green Day to much without saying you listen to Green Day to much. Ill go first. Our mom hates yall" I say trying to not laugh. Billie Joe blinks. I shrug. "I remember her saying something about if she got Green Day tickets for me, in order for her to go with me, I would have to not listen to yall for like two months." Billie Joe blinks. i snort. "I cant even go 1 hour without listening to yall" I said. Harry laughs. "Its true!" He said. I blush and shrug. The door bell rings. I go and answer it. I blink. Mr. Jason blinks. "BILLIE JOE! They're here! Come on in." I say. Mr. Jason and Kevin blink. They enter the house, and we walk into the living room. "That's Harry" I say pointing to Harry. He goes and answers the door. He yells "Zak its Nico!" I run in. I look at Nico. He looks at me. I glare at him. I yell "Billie Joe!" Mike, Tré, Billie Joe, Jason F, Jason, and Kevin come running in. "IMMA SLAP A BITCH SO FUCKING HARD HE'S NOT GONNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENED!" I somehow manage to say without crying. Billie Joe walks over and wraps his arms around me. "Hey what's going on?" he asks. I glare at Nico. "He refused to move with me when I moved here. The fucking asshole knew why I was moving and still refused to come with me! NICHOLAS JAMES WE ARE DONE! IM FUCKING DONE WITH YOUR BULLSHIT!" I yell out. I collapse into Billie Joe and start crying. "You heard him! Leave!!" Said Mike. "There's the door bitch!" says Tré. I wheeze. "Don't make me throw you out!" Mike adds. Mike steps toward Nico. "Mike wait!" I say through tears. Mike and Nico stare at me. "Nico I'm sorry I yelled at you." I say. Nico smiles softly and walks over and hugs me. "I missed you so much" he says. I hug him back. I start crying softly. Nico rubs my back. "Who's the really hot dude?" he asks. "Which one?" I ask smirking. He points to Mike and blushes. I frown. "oh so you aren't talking about me?" I reply sarcastically. Nico blinks. "babeeeeeeeeeeee" he whines. I laugh. "no I totally agree" I say.

Nico raises an eyebrow. I blush. Mike blinks. I shrug.

Billie's phone rings. "Zak you wanna answer that?" He asked. I shrug. "I guess" I say. He hands me the phone. "This is Zak. How can I help you?" I say. The voice on the other end says "who the fuck is Zak?" I blink. "And who the fuck are you?" I ask. "... Adrianne. Now where the fuck is my husband?" I gasp. I threw the phone at Billie, who catches it. "Someone is clearly pissed I answered your phone" I say. He snorts. I shrug. He puts the phone on speaker. "Babe, who's Zak? Why'd he answer your phone? Where are you?" She asks. "Nice to meet you too" I say, glaring at the phone. I walk out of the room. "I- I- think you pissed him off" Billie says. "Not my fucking problem" she said. I walk into my room and slam the door shut. "Actually it is. You are the one yelled at him because he answered Billie's phone. Now if you don't mind I need to make sure that my brother isn't to upset by her yelling at him. Oh by the way. He also thinks very highly of you, so I can imagine he's pretty upset" Harry says before walking out and to my room. Meanwhile, Know Your Enemy is blaring while Billie waits for her to apologize. Harry knocks on my door. "Are you ok?" he asks. I sniff back some tears and shake my head no. "Billie is literally just glaring at his phone, waiting for her to apologize" he says. "Good for him" I said. Tré, Billie and Mike walk out of the living room and up to my door. Mike knocks on my door. "Can we come in?" he asks. I nod. They walk in. I glare at the phone in Billie's hand. "The only people I like more than Green Day is y'all's wives. And apparently one of them hates me now." "I- I- I do not hate you. I was just surprised that some other male answered my husband's phone. I got scared" Adrienne says. Nico walks in and sits on the bed by my side. "Wait what happened?" he asks. "Bille's wife yelled at me!" I respond quietly. Nico looks over at the phone and raises an eyebrow. "She did what now?" he asks loudly. "I feel like I should not have done that" she said. "No shit really? Harry take Zak outside" Nico says dangerously quiet. Harry drags me outside and we sit. Meanwhile inside, Nico is glaring at the phone. "And why the fuck would you yell at a fucking stranger?" he asks her. "I was scared that my husband was hurt. I think I have a right to be scared when I think my husband is hurt!" she said. "That's valid, but you do not have the right to yell at MY BOYFRIEND because you are scared. NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO YELL AT HIM" Nico said in response. "Especially not someone he cares deeply about, which by the way is all of you guys" he adds. Nico storms out of my room and to the front door and opens it and walks out slamming it behind him. "He is terrifying when he is angry" Tré said. "Mike go check on them, please" Billie said running a hand through his hair. Nico walks over to where I am clinging to Harry. "I- I- I do not like yelling" I said through my tears. Mike walks out of my room and out of the house. He walks over to where I am sitting and sits down in front of me. "Billie said to tell you that he is sorry she is being so mean" He said. Nico raises an eyebrow. "I will believe that when he out here apologizing to my boyfriend personally!" Nico retorts still upset. "No one yells at my boyfriend and gets to expect they do not have to apologize to him!" "NICOLAS calm down!" I say shaking. Mike looks at Nico. "Some boyfriend you are! You upset Zak again!" he said. I run off with tears running down my cheeks. "I guess Adrienne is not going to apologize to my brother?" Harry asks, before running after me. Nico takes off running after him. Mike walks back into the house to explain what happened to Billie, Tré, Jason, Jason F., and Kevin. Nico and Harry catch up to me and drag me back to the house. Adrienne asks if I'm back yet. Billie says "yes". She says "Can I speak to him?" I nod, and say "I'm here. Are you going to apologize?" Adrienne sighs and says "I am sorry for yelling at you earlier". I say "Apology accepted. Do you wanna come over with Sara, and Britany?" I ask. "Of course we do! Do you like drama?" She asks. "Of course I do. Wait until you hear all the tea and drama from the last 3 hours!" Britany can be heard yelling in the background "this tea better not involve my husband!" "I-I- it might?" I reply. Britany can be heard growling lightly. Mike says "babe calm down!Zak is terrifying when he's angry! He's already yelled at me! I do not need him yelling at you!" I blink. Sara chimes in "And my husband?" "I .uh might have thrown a sandwich at him..." Adrienne can be heard wheezing in the background. Sara says "what's your address?" I give her my address. "We are five minutes away" says Britany. "Can we bring Joey?" Adrienne asks. I glance at Billie and say "of course" while blushing. "I think my brother might have a thing for drummers..." Harry says. I blush spectacularly. Adrienne says bye and hangs up. I can not look Tré in the face, so I'm looking at the ground. Jakob raises an eyebrow. "I wonder if that statement includes Tré, judging by your behavior it does" Jakob says smirking. I mumble "Shut your mouth sir". Harry glances at Jakob and discreetly nods. "Orrrrrr it could be something completely normal like I am absolutely terrified of him!" I respond. Tré blinks. "I saw a video where you yelled at Mike and Billie, and Mike literally just stared at you" I say, pointing to the Green Day rock band game case. "Although Billie looked like he wanted to fight Mike" I add, half laughing. Harry snorts. "I remember that!" He says. We look at each other and snort. And then the door bell rings. I shriek. Harry snorts and walks over to the door and opens it. Adrienne, Sara, and Britany walk in. Britany looks at me. She looks at Mike and raises an eyebrow. "What the fuck did he do?" She questions. "At leas he didn't throw a sandwich at me like he threw one at Tré" Mike says laughing. I blush again. "I would not dare to do that. Did I mention Mike is hot, but terrifying at the same time?" I responded casually. Harry wheezes out "Only 6 times a day!" I blink. "I think your crush is pretty obvious. If I recall correctly you mentioned you and your brother fight over who gets to play bass on rockband" Mike says looking at me. They all stare at me. "While you are correct that I did in fact say that, the only reason I have to even fight with him is because I have always played bass since the day I got rock band which by the way was long before I even knew who any of Green Day was" I respond. Mike blinks. "And yes I might have a thing for drummers" I add. "It's literally Tré or Joey this or that all the time" Nico adds. Billie Joe narrows his eyes at me. I gulp nervously. Nico growls. Tré looks at Billie Joe. "Billie Joe don't!" Tré said nervously. "And why shouldn't I?" Billie Joe asked. "Are you trying to piss me off" Nico asked. I stand there watching the two of them nervously, hoping they don't start yelling again. Billie Joe turns to me. "You realize he's married, right?" I growl. Nico explodes with rage. "Z, what's his full name?" Nico asks, eye twitching. "Billie Joe Armstrong" I respond, glaring at Billie Joe. "BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG LEAVE NOW!" Nico roared. "Nico, no" I whispered. "I do realize he's married actually" I respond angrily. "You do not know shit about me! I talk about Tré a lot because he is my favorite drummer" I say through tears. "And that's precisely why you are not my favorite Green Day person" I say storming out of the room. I run into my room and slam my door. Nico and Harry glare at Billie Joe. They look at each other and yell at "APOLOGIZE NOW OR LEAVE!" "Fine" Billie Joe says and walks to my room. Billie Joe knocks on the door. I say "it's open" Billie Joe walks in. "Hey, I'm sorry" he says. "It's ok. I shouldn't be taking my anger or grief out on you" I say. Billie Joe gestures to the empty chair, and asks can I sit?" I nod. I put my face in my hands and groan. "Are you ok?" He asked. I shake my head. "Do you wanna talk about it?" He asked. "I don't know. I don't fully understand what happened. I mean I understand the event itself but not the events surrounding the main event. She was literally fine the day before. And now she's gone" I say through tears. "I don't understand why she's gone though" I add. "I couldn't stand to be in the same house that she lived in, so I moved here" I whisper. "Have you talked to Nico about this?" He asked. I shake my head. "I don't know how to explain it to him" I said. "Do you want my help?" Billie Joe asks. I nod. We walk back into the living room. Everyone looks at us. Nico raises an eyebrow. I sigh. Billie Joe nudges me. "I- I- I- I can't do this" I stutter. "Yes you can! Nico, I think someone needs your support" Billie Joe responds. Nico walks over. "Z? What's wrong?" He asks. "I- I- I miss her" I sniff, trying to not cry. Nico tilts his head in thought. "Charley?" He whispers. He glances at Billie Joe who just shrugs. I nod. I sniff again. Jason White stands up and walks over. "Hey do you want a hug? I know I'm not a main part of Green Day, so it might not help" he asks. I snort. Harry looses his shit at this point and wheezes out "Zak not like Jason White? IMPOSSIBLE!" Nico says "dude has a point, Zak watches the same video like 6 times a week". "Actually I'd love one!" I say. Jason hugs me. I grin. "Who wants to hear about how I found out about him? Because when I first got into y'all's I had no idea he existed" I asked. "I wanna know what happened to my husband!" Britany shrieks. I look at her and raise an eyebrow. "Why don't you ask your fucking husband?!" I yell. "Oh shit!" Tré mutters. "He yelled at me, I yelled at him" Mike says. Britany raises an eyebrow. Nico says "don't yell at him! I'm ten times worse than him!" Britany says "he yelled at my husband!" I said "he yelled first!" "I did" Mike says. I smirk. Adrienne has found some popcorn and is eating it watching it all unfold. "I have a stupid question" I say. I fall over laughing. "What's up?" Billie Joe asked. "Wellllllll, I keep breaking my picks when I play. And I wondered what's the best pick to use? I'm almost certain I know what Mike will say, though..." I said. "Oh really?" Mike asks. I nod. "A thick Fender pick" I respond casually.

Joey looks at Tré and smirks. I blush. "I mean, he uses fender everything, it is pretty obvious" I add. Harry wheezes out "Zak is literally obsessed with Fender". I mutter "it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that he plays one" I say pointing to Mike. "I have known about the fender Stratocaster for 9 years and Green Day for less than a year" I add. "Mhm sure" says Harrison sarcastically. "Nah, Mike just makes it better" I retorted. My phone rings. "Hello?" I ask. The person on the other end says some things. I reply "YOU CAN SHUT THE FUCK UP!" and hang up. Billie Joe looks over and says "Are you ok?" I look at my phone and back at him. "Ya know, I'm not sure" I respond, before handing my phone to Harrison and running out of the room. Harry looks at my phone and then at Billie Joe. "Um wellllllll shit" he says. "What happened now?" Mike asks. Harry looks around and whispers "one of his ex friends, they got him into Green Day actually". "And now Zak hates this person?" Tré asked. Harrison shrugs, and says "I'm not sure hates is the right word. More like lost respect for them". "Why?" Jason White asks. I walk back in and say "he claimed to be a huge Green Day fan, but he didnt know who you were? Like really?" I walk over to Nico. I glance at Billie Joe, and say "he definitely knew who you were. He seemed to think it was hilarious to laugh every time he heard wake me up when September ends. And that's exactly why I'm no longer friends with this person. My aunt just fucking died right before I moved here. And he laughed at that too! Actually I'm pretty damn sure he made fun of Tré at one point, as well!" I say through my tears. I sigh. "They did what now?" Sarah asked angrily, "I promptly cussed him out for it! He's lucky he didn't end up in the damn hospital" I say eye twitching. "No one makes fun of Tré Cool in front of me! That's a one way ticket to meet Mr. Hades!" I collapse into Nico sobbing. Nico smirks and wheezes out "Zak literally scared the shit out of them! It was the best thing ever!" I blush. The door bell rings. I look around "hmm that's weird" I say. I notice Tré is looking awfully suspicious.

"Tré what did you do?" I ask warily. "Nothing" he responds. "Mhm sure. Are you trying to unalive me? Because I swear if Greg Schnieder is on my porch, that's exactly what's gonna happen!" I say. "And if it's a food delivery service?" Tré asks sheepishly. I raise an eyebrow and turn to Billie Joe, and ask "what do you think?" "Hmmm. What if I go check and see who it is?" He responded. "What if Tré goes? Technically he ordered the pizza." I say, while smirking. "Actually that's a great idea!" Jason Freese responds. "Can you imagine the look on the pizza guy's face?" Harry wheezes. I snort. Tré walks over to the door and opens it. "... Dad?" The pizza guy says. Tré shrugs. I tilt my head. "I- I- is that Frankito?" I ask. "Yes" Frankito says. I look at Tré. "I- I- hi! I'm Zak." I say. "that was my last delivery for the night" he says. "wanna come get some gossip?" I ask shyly. "is mom here?' He asks. I nod. He asks if he can come in. I nod. He enters. We walk into the living room. I start laughing. Billie Joe looks up. "Zak can laugh?" he says. I blush. Harry wheezes out "he can.Zak remember that time you forgot who Tré was?" "Man never wears a hat or goes without his eyeliner! Im sorry the one time he does I blanked on the fact he's Tré! At least I didnt think Billie Joe was Mike!" I respond trying to stay calm. "What were you laughing about?" Jason Freese asks. "Honestly. Mike with sleeves. That's a rare sight" I respond casually. Tré sets the pizza on the table. "Zak, what's your favorite Green Day memory?" He asks. "Hmmm. I have a few that come to mind immediately. Like the first time I played Green Day rockband. I literally sobbed when I saw boulevard of broken dreams on it!" I say. Harry wheezes out "he really did. He didn't care that it was almost 11 at night". Tré looks at me. "I literally almost died from excitement" I say casually. "Oh really?" Tré said. I nod. "I just had to play boulevard of broken dreams on bass guitar" I said, avoiding eye contact with Mike. "Was this before or after the thrown fender Stratocaster incident?" He says. "Before" I respond. Britany looks at Mike then back at me. "You threw a guitar?" Sarah asks. I nod. "I'm still not exactly sure what happened. I was upset that my brother and boyfriend weren't here when I needed them for moral support after the death of a loved one" I respond. "And was this guitar thrown at my husband?" Britany says looking quite angry. "No, I hadn't met Mike quite yet" I say in a harsher tone than I should have. "Z! Calm yourself!" Nico walks over and wraps his arms around me. I push him away from me and storm out of the room. "Ma'am what is your fucking problem with my brother" Harry asks. I walk into my room and slam my door, and yell. "Is it ok if we go check on him" Jason Freese and Jason White ask simultaneously. Nico nods, "I don't understand why he's so angry. He's usually not like this". "He really isn't" Harry adds. Jason Freese and Jason White walk to my room and knock on my door frame. "Come in" I say, tears streaming down my face. "Are you ok?" Jason W. asks. "I don't know anymore" I respond sighing, looking at the musical instruments next to my desk. "Do you need Billie Joe?" Jason Freese asks. I nod.

Jason Freese runs into the living room. "Billie, Zak needs you! And maybe Nico" He says urgently. "He's freaking out again" he added. Everyone sighs. All of a sudden the shadows in the room seem to grow bigger. "Uhhhhh, is that normal?" Britany asks. "I dunno" Harry says. He yells "Zak your presence is needed immediately". I run out of my room and into the living room just in time to see a young man about 25 years old step out of the shadows and the shadows return to normal. The man turns and looks at me. I have a feeling that I know who this man is. I growl out "Hades!", while glaring at the man. Harry gasps and points at a spot above my head. The image of a three headed dog is floating in mid air. Everyone looks from Hades to me, with a confused look on their faces. "That explains the anger issues" I say. "Child, calm down" Hades said. "No! Where the fuck were you when my dog died? The underworld? Clearly not here when your severely thanatophobic son lost his best friend!" I say shaking with rage. Nico looks from Hades to me. "Sir, your son is a huge asshole at times, but he's my asshole" he says. Hades shrugs and says "it runs in the family". I turn to Mike. "Wanna know why I hate Britany? Because she's your best friend!" I storm off. "I think someone is jealous... Does that run in the family?" Joey asks. "I honestly don't know" Hades says. I walk back into the room. I run my hand through my hair. I glance at Hades, shaking. "Everyone but Nico and Harry need to leave now!!" Hades says. "No its ok, stay" I say. "Z?" Nico asks. "I- I- I have a confession" I say. Mike turns and stares at me. "I'm changing my name. To Mike" I say. Tré tilts his head. "Why Mike?' Sarah asks. I sigh and say "its because without him, I literally wouldn't be alive right now. He accidentally saved my life". I walk out of the room crying. Hades turns to Nico, and says "what the fuck did you do to my son?' Harry says "I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with Nico. He's experienced a lot of bad things the last two years, and plenty I'm sure I don't know about" "He's also admitted to me that something about Mike feels familiar to him, but he hasn't quite figured it out yet" Nico adds. "Wait, he said something about someone close to him dying, and I was the first person who actually cared to listen to him talk about it. Could that be why he chose Mike as his new name?" Mike says. Nico shrugs, "it could be".

"It has absolutely nothing to do with Nico! Maybe it has something to with my shitty parents! You can leave or be nice to my boyfriend!" I say walking back into the room. "Um maybe we should leave" Billie Joe says. The shadows in the room deepen. "No! Sit!" I gasp out while hyperventilating. "Mike?" Harry asks. "Who the fuck died now? I swear one more and imma go insane" I growl out. "I think you might wanna go look outside, my child" Hades says calmly. I run out of the room. I open the door. A golden retriever looking to be about 6 months old is sitting on the porch. The life aura looks familiar to me, so I pick it up and walk inside to the living room. "Uh Mike, my dude? Is that who I think it is?" Harry asks. I nod tears streaming down my face. "Still think I'm a shitty dad?" Hades asks. I shake my head. Nico walks over and hugs me. "Can we call you MK?" Tré asks. I nod. "Who's the dog, MK?" Billie Joe asks. "Well her name was Penny, but I'm gonna change it to Millie Jaé Harrington" I say looking at Harry. They all look at me. Tré asks "Where'd you get that name from?" "Uh I think MK used a combination of our names" Jason Freese says. I nod. I sit there petting Millie. "Feel better now?" Mike asks. I sigh and nod. "Do you have a bass guitar, MK?" Mike asks. "No, but I wish I did" I respond. "It's ok, I can go grab mine from Britany's vehicle" Mike says. "There's an extra one in there" Britany says. "Perfect" Mike says standing up. He walks out and gets the guitars and walks back in. He hands me one and sits back down. "Oh dear" Harry says. "Shut up, Harrison" Nico says. I snort. " What song do you wanna do first?" Mike asks. "Um boulevard" I respond. "How did you not know?" Jason asks. I blush spectacularly. Nico snorts. "I had to double check" Mike says. "Do you know anything about bass guitars?" Mike asks. "No, but I know the chords needed for boulevard. I don't know how to do them on bass though" I say. "All of the cords?" Billie Joe asks. I nod. "Uhhh. MK?" Nico asks. "Ya?" I respond. "Did you forget about the bass guitar in Harry's room?" He asks. I facepalm, "I did." "He never uses it" I say. Mike looks at Harry, who shrugs. "What cords do we need for this song?" Mike asks. "E minor, G,D, A, B barre, and C" I say. Tré looks impressed. Adrienne blinks. "I may or may not know how to play it on guitar" I say blushing. "He taught himself!" Nico says. Billie Joe looks impressed. "How in the world this kid is my kid I'll never know" Hades says. "Well I can't play guitar very well, or sing very well" I respond coldly. "I clearly have your attitude" I add. "Hades, SHUT YOUR MOUTH!" Nico yells. I glare at Hades. "The only reason I even play guitar is because of them! And it keeps my anger in check. Which I'm pretty sure is a Hades thing!" I sarcastically. "MK?" Tré asks quietly. I look at him. "I'm ok. I think" I say getting up and walking out of the room. I walk to my room and grab my guitar and sit on my bed staring at it. "Imma go check on him" Britany says, walking out of the room. She walks up and knocks. "MK? You ok?" She asks. I shrug. "I need to play guitar or listen to Billie Joe sing. Or Mike sing" I say. "Bring your guitar, I can play a few Green Day songs if you wanna learn" she says walking out of the room. I grab my guitar and walk out of the room. We walk into the living room. " Hades needs to leave now" I say coldly. "Why?" he asks. "Because I was doing perfectly well without knowing you were my dad" I respond. "I almost prefer my shitty step dad over you" I add. "MK? Come here, babe" Nico says. "Not trying to be rude, but you probably should leave sir" Billie Joe says. "MK, you ok?" Jason Freese asks. "I- I- I- I dont know" I say. I faint from sensory overload. "My son!!!!!!!!!!!" Hades yells. My phone rings. Harry picks it up and says "Hi". The person on the other end says "Harry where's Zak?" "Um. Well he just fainted, Ollie" Harry says. "Oh" Ollie says. "Shouldn't you call an ambulance?" Ollie asks. "Probably, I feel like he isn't gonna wake up on his own" Harry says. Harry gives Ollie the address of the local hospital and hangs up, then he calls the emergency services. Ollie knocks on the front door and opens it. The emergency personal walk in with Ollie.

THIRD PERSON POV

The emergency service personnel asks "What happened? What's his name? Who is responsible for him?" Hades walks over and says "His name is Mike, but he prefers MK, and he's my son" "Actually I dont think you get to call him your son! Please hurry up and fix him!" Nico retorts coldly. "Unless you are biologically family, get out!" the EMT says walking over to MK. Nico growls "No, actually I dont think I will" "NICO!" MK yells out still unconscious. "Oh look, my boyfriend needs me" Nico says sarcastically. The EMT turns to Billie Joe, Trê and Mike and says "And who are you?" Billie Joe says "Green Day..." The EMT sighs. "Has anyone tried anything yet?" He asks. MK starts shaking and muttering "no not now. Not in front of Mike!" MK goes completely still. Hades glares at the EMT, "YOU! LEAVE NOW!" He causes the shadows to deepen around the EMT threateningly. The EMT runs out of the house screaming. "APOLLLLLLLLLLLO" Hades yells. Apollo appears in a burst of light. "Hades?" He asks. "What the hell is wrong with my son?" Hades said staring at Apollo. Apollo looks around "which one is your son?" "THE UNCONSCIOUS ONE!" Hades yells. Nico looks at MK and says "something is really wrong, he didnt even flinch when you yelled... but what is it?" Nico starts crying softly. Billie Joe walks over to Nico. "Hey, its gonna be ok. Hades will figure out what's wrong with MK" he says. "Are you sure?" Nico asks, shoulders shaking. Billie Joe nods. "If he cant, I will" he says. Apollo looks from Nico to MK. "Can anyone tell me if there's something that might have happened to cause this?" Apollo asks. "Um well he has autism, but he didnt seem overstimulated or anything" Nico says. "Actually Im almost certain he was overstimulated" Harry says. Harry begins pacing. "But what could help him wake up again?" Nico says. "He mentioned that he needed to play his guitar earlier or hear Billie Joe or Mike sing" Britany says. "Has he mentioned a specific song he likes?" Apollo asks. Jason White looks up, "actually he said earlier that Boulevard of Broken Dreams at Milton Keynes was his favorite song". Nico nods, "Im surprised he hasn't memorized it yet". Billie Joe looks at Mike and says "Should we try?" Mike says "it wouldn't hurt to try". They begin to sing. MK lets out a huge sigh. "MK?!" Nico says walking over to MK. MK groans and opens his eyes. He screams,"OLLIE?!". "Careful there, my dude" Ollie says. MK looks at Billie Joe and Mike and says "hold up. Why are they singing?" Everyone starts laughing. "I- I- I- think Green Day literally just saved my son..." Hades says, sitting on the couch. MK snorts and sits up. "Its not the first time" MK sighs and looks at Nico. Nico blinks and raises an eyebrow. "Explain please" he says. MK sighs. "Wellllllllllll. Im an empath. And from time to time I get these weird feelings like something happened somewhere. And Green Day has been involved with a few of those moments..." MK says. Millie walks over to MK and licks his hand. "Like honestly without Green Day and Boulevard of Broken Dreams, I probably wouldn't be here" MK says, a few tears running down his face. Nico walks over and hugs MK. "I love you, dont ever scare me like that again!" he says. "You good, MK?" Joey asks.He nods. He looks over at the rock band stuff, and tilt my head. "Babe, come play with me" he whines. Nico laughs, and says "Anyone wanna join us?" "Can I do drums this time?" Tré asks. MK nods. "I rather enjoy playing bass" he says. Everyone snorts. MK gasps. "What? Did we offend you?" Jakob asks. MK shakes his head. "Yo Adrienne, want some gossip?" Adrienne smirks. "Of course I do" she says. MK laughs. "Does this involve any of our husbands?" Britany asks. MK frowns. "Your husband that literally just saved my fucking life? Actually it does" He spits out. "Oh dear, MK is pisssed" Tré whispers. "No shit, really? Also you better watch yourself mortal" Hades replies sarcastically. MK sits next to Hades. "I'm almost glad this dream I had didn't involve Britany" MK says. "Ohhhhhh. What happened?" Sarah asks. "Well, some details aren't clear anymore. But I remember being in a building and feeling like something bad was gonna happen. Like really bad. So im running around trying to get everyone out, and as I pass this one room, and I can't quite remember who, but it was either Mike, Billie Joe, or Tré say something. I distinctly remember it taking like 2 minutes to register that I knew this voice. But when I did, I run back to the room they were in. And I gasp out 'Bad weather. Need to leave now!' Billie Joe looks at me confused. And I'm just staring at y'all like uhhhh, go to the safe room. After about 2 minutes, I start getting upset, so I walk over to Billie Joe and start trying to drag him out of the room. It finally clicks for y'all's that its not safe where we are so Tré runs out of the room and comes back with a wheelchair. He pushes me into it and yells at Mike and Billie Joe to run. Tré pushes me out of the room. We all go to the car that they brought, I wanna say it's Tré's for some reason. Billie Joe notices I looked scared so he says wanna come with us to find somewhere else to play? Since I just saved their lives. Oh and Jason White, Kevin, and Jason Freese were there too, but they had their own car. I nod, already having the perfect place in mind. So I pulled out my phone and call a local casino. I put the phone on speaker. "Hello?' says a woman's voice. I say 'yes I'd like to see if I can reserve the concert area for this evening'. The women says 'Ok, what's the name of the band?' I respond 'Green Day'. The women says 'I am positive this is a prank. You sound to young to be part of Green Day'. I look at Billie Joe and smirk. He says 'Babe, be nice! This young man literally just saved our lives'. Adrienne gasps and says 'in that case, yes we do and we have both penthouses available as well. would you like both of them?' I say 'Yes please, and thank you'. Adrienne then asks how far away we are and I tell her. She says she will have everything ready by the time we get there. So we drive to the casino, and when we get there, Adrienne is waiting outside for us. We all get out of the vehicles and carry the stuff into the concert area. Adrienne looks at me and says 'I am sorry for being rude to you earlier'. I shrug it off. Then the dream ends" MK says. Britany blinks. Sarah stands up and walks over and hugs me. "Thank you" she says. MK responds "No problem, these guys are literally family as far as I'm concerned". Harry snorts. "Shut your damn mouth, Harrison" MK replies. MK looks at Britany and says "Next time you wanna be rude to me, I hope you remember that I saved your husband's life in a dream".

Harry and Nico walk over to MK and drag him out of the room. "You need to calm down before you pass out again" Nico says. MK sighs. "I know" he says. Nico hugs MK. "I love you so much" he says. MK hugs Nico back. MK walks back into the living room. "Y'all good?" Jason White asks. "Don't ask him that, he might faint again!" Sarah says. Nico nods, and says "Ya he's fine". "I'm pretty sure I know why I fainted earlier" MK says. Everyone turns and looks at me. "Sometimes I need a little a longer to process new information. I guess my brain decided to process it at a bad time" MK said, shrugging. "What song do you wanna play now?" Billie Joe asks. "Holiday!" MK says, shaking with excitement. Kevin looks at MK. "That's a good one!" Kevin says. MK smiles. "MK, do you have a specific version of holiday that you like?" Britany asks. MK nods, saying "the Dublin, Ireland one". Nico blinks, "I never knew that!" MK blushes. "You never asked" MK replied. Hades raises an eyebrow. "I hope you are not arguing with my son" he says. "No sir" Nico replied. MK blushes again. MK walks over and picks up his Fender Stratocaster. "Harry gonna sing again?" Tré asks. "No! I wanna sing!" Nico says. MK shrugs. "Wait you can both sing!" Tré says. "Nico! I want you to watch me slay at bass" MK says, pouting. Adrienne pokes Billie Joe, "look at them". Billie Joe smirks. "Fine, I won't play then" Nico says. "Who is gonna do guitar?" MK asks. "Can I?" Sarah asks. MK nods. "Can I do harmony with Billie Joe?" Adrienne asks. "I- I guess" MK says. "Ollie, do you wanna sing?" MK asks. Ollie says "bet". MK frowns. "Babe?" Nico looks at MK questioningly. "MK?" Hades said. MK sighs. "I'm fine" MK says. Ollie says " bro, what's up?" Millie Jaé barks. "Do you want to play know your enemy?" Sara asks. "No, Holiday is fine" MK says. MK blushes. "Ohhhh. I think he wanted to sing it" Nico says. "He sounds hideous!" Harry says. "Your just jealous I sound like him when I sing!" MK says pointing to Billie Joe. Billie Joe looks at MK, and blinks. "At least I'm not tone deaf!" Harry retorts. "Shots fired" Tré says. Nico wheezes "he's not that bad!" "At least I can identify almost every Green Day song!" MK said coldly. "I'm sorry I was too busy trying to stay alive to learn how to sing!" MK adds. "Watch yourself, child! Come here, MK" Hades says. MK walks over to Hades. "I love you, child. I'm sorry you had the childhood you had because of me" Hades said, hugging MK.

"It's ok. It's not your fault" MK says. He looks at Billie Joe, and frowns. "I had a great childhood. The only thing I would change, is I would find Green Day sooner" MK says. Billie Joe blinks. MK sighs. "I had a few experiences that severely fucked with the way I saw myself. And then there was the monster that attacked me when I was 13. It only got worse from there" MK says,"The attacks got to the point where I honestly wasn't fighting as hard as I should have. Then a monster went after my dog, and I wasn't fast enough. By the time I got to her, it was too late". MK looks at Hades. MK walks out of the room. Everyone looks at Hades. A loud thud can be heard from MK's room. "Umm" Nico runs out of the room. Billie Joe follows. "Mikeeeeeeeeeeee, helllllllllllp!" Billie Joe yells, rushing back into the living room. "MK isn't responding again!" He says, slightly out of breath. Mike runs out of the room.Mike and Billie Joe run into MK's room. MK groans and opens his eyes. MK runs out of the room yelling "Dad?!" Hades looks up. "MK? What happened?" "I- I- I- I don't know. Something happened though" MK looks around suspiciously. "I feel it too" Hades says looking around. "Do we need to leave?" Tré said nervously. "I don't know" MK says. "Please don't leave, I need to go check on this. Stay here with MK please" Hades says. Hades steps into a shadow and disappears. MK stares at where Hades had disappeared. "It's ok. Everything's gonna be ok, MK" Adrienne said. MK's stomach growls. Nico snorts. "Dear child, come here" Nico says. Everyone laughs. "Nico, can you make the best spaghetti ever, please?" Mk says looking at Nico. Tré blinks. Harry looks over at MK , "is it million dollar spaghetti?" MK nods. MK looks at everyone. "My boyfriend makes the best spaghetti ever!" MK says. The shadows deepen again. Hades steps out of the shadows, with a young girl, and a woman looking to be about 27 years old. "...um. Dad?" MK says, looking confused. "This is Hestia and Persephone" Hades says. "Ummmm" MK says. Harry snorts. "My dude, you broke him" Nico says, trying to not laugh. Hestia says "I heard something about spaghetti?" MK nods. "I- I don't know what to say" MK says. Persephone walks over and kneels in front of MK. "Hi" she says softly. "You know, a year ago if someone had told me Hades was my dad, I'd have laughed in their face, but now that I think about it, I'm not surprised" MK says. Nico walks over and hugs MK. "And if someone had said you would like Green Day?" Kevin asked. "Honestly I probably would have cried" MK responds. Harry snorts. "You really have changed a lot since last year, haven't you?" He said. MK snorts. "Obviously... I mean who wouldn't?" He said, looking at Billie Joe. MK leans into Nico. "If only I could figure out how to show them how much they mean to me" MK whispers to Nico. "Um, MK? My child, it's almost midnight" Hestia says. MK looks at the clock and frowns. "We're gonna go" Tré says, standing up and walking towards the door. MK stares at the wall. The rest of Green Day follows. Hades, Nico, Hestia and Harry all look at MK. The front door opens and then closes. MK frowns. MK's eye twitches. "Come here, babe" Nico whispers. Nico says "imma take this one to bed". Hades sighs. Nico carries the now half asleep MK to his room. Nico lays next MK and falls asleep. "Well that went well" Hades mutters sarcastically. "I feel bad. I hope he sleeps ok tonight" Harry says. Hades and Hestia leave. Harry locks the door and goes to his room and falls asleep. A couple of hours later a shriek disrupts the silence.

Nico wakes up with a start. "MK?!" He whispers. MK shoots up. "Hellllllllllllllllllllp!" MK yells. Harry and Millie Jaé run into the room. Millie Jaé jumps on the bed. MK begins crying again. "MK? What happened?!" Nico asks. Harry walks over and hugs MK. "Monster hurt you!" MK whispers, tears flowing down his face. "Oh. Come here, you're safe. I promise" Nico whispers. MK clings to Nico, shaking like a leaf. Harry says "look, we are right here". Harry looks at the clock. "6?!" He says. "Should we call for Hades? I doubt he's gonna go back to sleep" Nico says. Harry sighs. The shadows elongate and Hades steps out. "Dad!" MK says, running and jumping on him, sobbing hysterically. "What happened, child?" Hades says softly, rubbing MK's back soothingly. Nico shrugs. "Monster hurt Nico and Harry" MK wails. Hades looks alarmed. "Tell me more, MK" Hades says softly. MK sniffs. "Bad monster hurt my family. I couldn't do anything. They had tied me up. I couldn't move" MK sobs. Harry's phone rings. "Hello?" He says. "Hey it's Billie Joe. Is everyone awake?" Billie Joe says. Harry looks around, and says "give me like 30 minutes, MK woke up at 6:30 screaming. He's still upset". Billie Joe winces. "Ask if he needs boulevard again" Billie Joe suggests. "MK, do you need boulevard again?" Harry asks. MK tilts his head and says "No, I think I need an angry song". "Ask if we need to come back" Billie Joe says. MK mutters "outside isn't safe. What if a bad monster gets Mr. Billie Joe?" Hades says "I'm pretty sure that's a yes..." MK walks over to the window, hissing. "Ok, see you in like 45 minutes" Billie Joe says. "Ok, MK is already pacing in front of the window" Harry says, glancing over at MK. Hades walks over to MK and tries to get him to sit down. Hades is not successful. 30 minutes pass with MK anxiously pacing, The door bell rings. MK runs to the door and looks through the peep hole. "Hi, MK! We came back!" Billie Joe says sounding and looking like he had way too much caffeine already. MK rips the door open and pulls Billie Joe inside. Mike looks at MK, and says "bud, are you ok? What happened? Billie Joe called us freaking out" Tré nods. MK points at Nico and Harry, and says coldly "someone attacked them!" Mike growls "who?!" MK looks at Hades. Hades sighs. "A monster. Most likely a Greek one" Hades responds. Tré gasps. Mike says "watch this monster try to get close to any of us." MK blinks. Hades snorts. MK yawns. "MK, do you want a hug?" Billie Joe asks quietly. MK nods. Billie Joe walks over and hugs MK. "We are absolutely fine, MK. I promise" Billie Joe says. Hades coughs awkwardly. MK looks at Hades, and says "Do not piss me off, sir. Touch these three and we are done!" Nico looks worried. "Ummmm..." Nico says. "I've had pretty severe thanatophobia since I was 6! I hate you! I hate your whole domain! Do you know what's it like to have every animal that ever gave a damn about you ripped away from you?! Oh, wait! You're a fucking god! Of course you don't!" MK runs to his room and slams the door. "I think this dream he had was really bad" Billie Joe says quietly. Harry coughs. Tré looks over at Harry, "do you know something?" Nico gasps and runs out of the room and to MK's room, and walks in. Harry nods. "I'm not sure exactly what this dream was about, but I'm almost certain he's afraid that Nico or myself are gonna leave him again..." Harry explains. MK walks out of his room carrying Nico, and into the living room. MK hisses, and narrows his eyes suspiciously. Nico whispers, "MK, I'm fine! I'm not gonna leave you, I promise! Never again!" MK sets Nico down next to Harry and hisses. MK walks over to the window and paces muttering under his breath. Everyone watches cautiously. MK suddenly lets out a loud growl and runs out of the room to his room, grabs his AirPods and phone, and races towards a shadow, yelling "do not follow me!" Mike blinks. "I think I know where he went" Hades said. Nico glances at Hades, "MK is ok, right?" Hades glances at Billie Joe and says "his shallow heart's the only thing beating in this location." Everyone looks at Billie Joe and frowns. Harry gasps, "I got it!" Everyone looks at the shadow MK disappeared into. The shadow twitches and MK steps out, tears rolling down his face. "Are you ok?" Billie Joe asks. MK nods, and looks at Hades. "I know what happened now" MK says, raising an eyebrow. "If you truly know me, you know exactly what I mean" MK says. Harry snorts. "What's he like?" Harry asks. MK smiles, and says "he's cool. He wants me to come back next week and visit again". Hades smiles and says "you should bring Harry and maybe you can play baseball next week." MK gasps. "Billie Joe likes baseball too" Mike says. MK looks at Billie Joe and stammers "y-y-you do?!" Billie Joe nods. Nico laughs, and says "3.. 2...1..." MK gasps and faints. Everyone laughs. Harry walks over and pokes MK. MK doesn't respond. "Hdjdijdjdhdbbdbshdhbdh" MK mutters. Nico sighs. "He's fine!" Nico says. Billie Joe blinks. "Are you ok?" Tré asks. MK nods,"Just surprised". "Does anyone want ice cream?" Billie Joe says, looking bored. "Ice cream?! Where?!" Tré says, looking around. "Hey! I was gonna say that!" MK says, pouting. "What kind of ice cream do you want?" Hades said, looking around. "Cherry limeade!" MK says, bouncing on the balls of his feet. MK walks out of the room and into his room. He sits on his bed. Mike blinks and says "is he ok?" Nico shrugs. Hades mutters "his life aura is messed up..." Tré blinks. A loud thud can be heard from MK's room. Harry and Nico glance at each other. Billie Joe frowns. MK runs out of his room. "Hey there bud. You ok?" Mike looks over at MK. Billie Joe grabs his keys. "Come on, MK. Let's go for a drive" he says. "If I can't blare Green Day, I'm not going" MK replies, raising an eyebrow. Billie Joe says "would you like to sing along, as well?" MK says "can I?" Mike says "you can if you want". They all walk to the car and get in. "Where are we going?" Billie Joe asks. "Braums! Can I get two ice creams?!" MK says grinning from ear to ear. Hades says "does anyone else think that's a bad idea?" Nico raises his hand. Hades sighs. "Child, are you sure that's a good idea?" MK nods. "I give up" Hades says. Billie Joe connects his phone to the vehicle's Bluetooth. He then hands his to phone to Tré. Tré selects a song. MK blinks back a few tears. Nico whispers to MK "are you ok?" "Surely it's not that horrible" Mike says. "Nooooo. I love it! Actually the bass line is incredible and really calming" MK responds quietly. Mike blinks. "Anything deep and bassy sounding really calms him" Nico responds, leaning around MK to look at Mike. Tré smirks. The next song begins playing. "... Tré did that on purpose" MK says half joking. "Do you know this song though?" Tré says. MK shakes his head no. Nico snorts, and says "shocker!" MK blushes.

Harry blinks in surprise. "What do you think of this one?" Mike asks. "Welllllll clearly the bass line slays. The drum line is fantastic! The guitar on the other hand..." MK responds looking at Nico. "Let me translate. MK gets extreme serotonin from certain songs. I think this is one of them." Nico says. MK nods. Tré blinks, and says "and that's perfectly valid. Some songs are like that for me as well" Billie Joe turns around and says "do you wanna pick a few songs?" Nico groans, "Why did you have to ask that?" "Should I not ask that?" Billie Joe asks, looking confused. Harry facepalms and says "not unless you wanna hear the same thing for the next 6 hours!" "Actually I only do that to help me focus on whatever I am trying to do, so you can shut your mouth Harrison" MK said slightly upset. MK turns and stares out the car window. Hades smacks Harrison upside the head. Billie Joe turns into the parking lot. "MK, look! Ice cream!" Hades says softly. "Oh good" MK responds. They all walk in and order ice cream. They walk over to a table and sit, eating their ice cream. "I'm sorry if I upset you, MK" Billie Joe says. MK looks over and says "no you didn't upset me. You're completely fine" "I don't think Harrison fully understands MK. For MK to need to listen to something on repeat, he's got to be in extreme sensory overload, yet feel safe enough to play the same song on repeat. He's actually stopped doing it, except in rare cases, like he's extremely angry" Nico explains. MK nods and says "I also refuse to do it in front of new people. Which why yesterday was as bad as it was". Tré says "I appreciate you letting us know. Thank you". Mike nods and says "I felt bad yesterday when you kept running out. I almost asked if there was something I could to do to help". MK blinks in surprise. "MK, not everyone hates you" Hades says softly. "Why would we hate you?" Mike says getting up and walking over to sit next to MK. "I don't know" MK responds with a sigh. MK yawns. "Let's head back and watch a movie or something" Billie Joe says, noticing the yawn. "Good idea!" Nico responds. MK frowns. "We won't leave, I promise" Hades says, hugging MK. Billie Joe stands up and walks toward the door. MK follows him out to the vehicle, looking anxious. Everyone gets into the car. They drive back to MK's house.

"Are you ok, bud?" Mike asks, looking concerned. MK looks over at Mike and sighs. Harry runs into the room. "Um MK?" he asked looking around. Billie Joe looks over and motions for Harrison to be quiet. He points toward the window. Nico looks over and groans. "He's not gonna like that!" Nico tells Billie Joe. Adrienne knocks on the door. MK blinks. "MK it's ok," Tré says walking over to MK and placing a hand on his shoulder. "MK let's go and see who's at the door," Mike says looking over at MK. "Ok Mike," MK says walking over to Mike. Mike leads MK over to the door and opens it. MK blinks. Mike says "see nothing to worry about, MK". MK looks from Mike to Adrienne. MK runs out of the room and into the dining room yelling "help!" Nico and Harry look at each other, and facepalm. Adrienne looks over at Mike. "Rough morning?" she said. Mike nods and says "we just got back from getting ice cream. So it could be a sugar overload as well". Adrienne sighs. "MK? Where are you bud?" she said looking around. A muffled sob can be heard from the dining room. Millie Jaé runs by, barking. Adrienne looks at Mike. "What happened after we left?" she inquires of Mike. Mike shrugs and declares "no one knows exactly what happened". Adrienne swiftly walks out of the room. Mike follows, calling out "MK?" Adrienne walks into the dining room, and looks under the table. "Mike, I found him!" Mike promenades into the room. "MK, come here bud," Adrienne says. MK looks over, eyes wide with terror. "Would you like some lunch?" Adrienne asks, holding out a hand. MK crawls out from under the table and stands up. Adrienne leads MK out of the room, and into the kitchen. Mike follows, poking his head into the living room, "Adrienne's here, and she's making lunch!" Billie Joe and Tré look at each other and run into the kitchen. MK sits at the table and puts his head in his hands. "MK bud, what happened last night?" Adrienne asked. "Umm, well, Nico and Harry left me again! And then a bad monster hurt them!" MK responds looking around. Nico says "I see two problems with that dream. One, I'm never leaving you again, and I'm sure Hades wouldn't let a monster hurt us." Hades nods. Harry walks over and whispers something to Nico. Nico grins and runs out of the room, saying "I'll be right back!" Adrienne says "MK, what kind of food do you like?" Nico runs back into the room and skids to a stop in front of MK. Everyone turns and stares at Nico. Nico gets down on one knee and pulls out a ring box saying "Mike Orrin Smith, will you marry me?" MK blinks. "I-I- Nico say what now?" he raised a question. Harry wheezes out "I think Nico wants to be my brother-in-law!" MK raises an eyebrow. Nico nods. MK looks horrified. "Child, I think Nico is waiting for an answer," Hades says. MK blinks and says "um, I don't understand why it took this long, but yes, I would love to be yours forever!" MK stands up and pulls Nico to his feet, and hugs him, grinning broadly. Adrienne asks again "What kind of food do you like?" MK says "I want million-dollar spaghetti!" Adrienne says "I don't know how to make that" MK frowns. "I can show you how to make it," Nico says, looking at Adrienne. "Knowing MK, I can guarantee the required ingredients are already in the house," Harry says. MK nods. "It sounds delicious," Tré says. Nico snorts and says "it's amazing!" Harry says "I'll help make it!" Hades looks at MK and says "would you like to officially meet Persephone?" MK nods. Hades smiles and says, stepping into shadow and vanishing, "I'll be right back". Harry begins getting out the ingredients and placing them on the island in the middle of the kitchen. Hades steps out of a shadow with Persephone, saying "you'll never guess what just happened" Persephone looks around and sees MK. She waves, saying "Hi, MK!" MK waves back, smiling brightly. "My husband told me something exciting just happened," she said. MK blushes and holds out his hand to show the elegant engagement ring. Persephone gasps and says "it's beautiful." Nico beams. MK flushes bright red. Nico puts the spaghetti in the oven. Persephone looks around the room and says "MK, would you like to introduce these people?" MK looks like he wants to cry. Nico says "look at me, babe." MK looks over at him. "Breath kid," Billie Joe says. MK begins hyperventilating. "SHE DOES NOT KNOW WHO YOU ARE?" MK gasps out eventually. Persephone blinks. Harry sighs, " I knew this was gonna happen!" MK points to Billie Joe saying "that's Billie Joe Armstrong, lead vocalist, and guitarist for Green Day." Billie Joe waves and points to Adrienne, "And that's my wife, Adrienne." Persephone nods, "nice to meet you." MK turns to Mike and stutters out "that's Mike Dirnt, bassist and background vocalist for Green Day." Persephone blinks "I think I've heard of him but didn't know what he looked like." She points to Tré and says "who's he?" MK responds casually "oh him? That's Tré Cool" with a straight face. Tré frowns. MK looks at Tré, "hold up! Do you think I don't like you?" Tré nods. MK rolls his eyes, "Would I have played drums yesterday in front of you if I didn't like you?" Tré shrugs. "I most definitely do you like you! Me not like someone from Green Day?! Has the world ended?!" MK responds, looking Tré in the face. Nico facepalms. "Okay then... I am Persephone, Hades' wife" Persephone says. Harry blinks multiple times. "And for the record, Tré is my favorite drummer" MK says. Nico walks over and hugs MK. The oven dings loudly in the awkward silence. "Spaghetti!" MK cheers. Nico takes the spaghetti out of the oven and places it on the table. "The spaghetti looks delicious!" Mike says. Nico beams, and sits next to MK. Nico dishes out the spaghetti. Everyone digs in. "MK, what else do you like?" Mike asks, standing up and putting his plate in the sink, and walking back to the table. MK blinks, and tilts his head in thought. "...I like the show Ghost Adventures" MK responds. MK yawns. "Come on MK" Nico says, leading MK out of the room, and into the living room. Nico sits on the couch, and pulls MK down next to him. Nico grabs a blanket and covers both of them. Mike and the others walk back into the living room. Nico gestures for them to be quiet. Billie Joe looks at the tv then to Nico. Nico nods and whispers "no louder than 12". Billie Joe nods in understanding. MK mutters "my head hurts" before falling asleep. "That was quick" Adrienne whispers. Nico nods and says "MK's sensitive to energies that people he's close to give off. I can only assume, y'all's are deeply calming for him. I think that yesterday was too many new energies at once for him to handle". Mike blinks slowly. "Where's my stuffie?!" MK mutters in his sleep. "Any preference on what we watch?" Billie Joe asks, looking around the room. Nico shakes his head. "Can we play more rock band?" Mike asks. Nico shrugs, "sure, he might stay asleep if you do." Everyone looks at MK. "I wanna do drums" Billie Joe says. "MK's gonna be pissed he missed that!" Harry says. Nico snorts "you better not tell him when he wakes up." Tré shudders dramatically. "I might do lead guitar" Mike says. Nico blinks. "Boulevard?" Billie Joe says. Mike nods. "...nooooooooooooooooooooooooo" MK yells out, tears running down his face. Nico sighs. "What happened this time?" Billie Joe whispers. Harry shrugs. Beads of sweat begin running down MK's face. Hades blinks. "Should we wake him up?" Hades asks. "I-I don't know" Nico says rubbing MK's back comfortingly. MK wakes up, eyes wide with confusion. "W- what's going on?!" MK says. Nico whispers "nothing, bestie". "That's suspicious..." MK responds. "Was it a bad dream again?" Adrienne asks. MK nods, clinging to Nico. Hades eyes flash dangerously. "And what was this dream about?" Hades says quietly. "Ummm, well. Nico and I got into a fight and then you tried to break it up. But then Nico yelled at you!" MK says. Hades stands up, walks over to MK and pulls him into a hug, hissing at Nico. "I think the idea of angry Hades scares MK" Billie Joe says. MK nods. "I'd never hurt you, my child" Hades says. "Babeeeeeeeeeee, I'd never do that! Nor would I leave you!" Nico says. Hades raises his eyebrow, and says "where were you when my son moved here 7 months ago?" MK turns and glares at Nico. Nico stands up and says "I thought he needed space to process things!" "You ass! That situation is the only time I've ever needed you more than anything! I can't believe I said yes!" MK says taking off his engagement ring and throwing it at him. "You left my son alone and upset?!" Hades says, setting MK on the couch and stepping towards Nico. "And? You literally just met him yesterday! He's fine now!" Nico responds coldly. Hades says "the ancient laws prevented me from being any where near him! I shouldn't be here right now!" MK gasps with horror. Thunder rumbles ominously in the distance. "See? He clearly knows where I am!" Hades says. "Go! We'll keep an eye on him" Harry says, glaring at Nico. "I said I was sorry!" Nico said, looking around the room.

"Like you have any room to talk, Harrison!" MK retorts. MK turns to Hades, and says "if he has a problem with you being here, then he can say that to face!" MK glares out the window. Billie Joe walks over to MK and says "you ok?" MK shakes his head angrily. "I'm going for a walk. Do not follow me unless you are Green Day or Adrienne!" MK says, flinging the front door open and walking out, slamming the door behind him.

"If you want to" MK answers, shrugging. Jason's phone rings. "Mike? Why do you have Billie Joe's phone?" MK looks up in confusion. "Umm. He needs help. He keeps repeating Mike while staring at the door. I think he thinks he's the reason MK is upset" Mike says. "Mikeeeee!" Billie Joe says. Jason and Jakob turn and look at MK, "are you upset with him?" MK walks over to Jason and says "me? Upset with Billie Joe?! Hell no! I'm coming back to fix that idea right now, sir!" Jason asks "how are you getting back?" "Come on dude, I'll take you back," Jakob says. MK shrugs, and says "ok". MK follows Jakob out to his car and they get in. "You ok, man?" Jakob asks. MK nods. Jakob pulls up to MK's house. They walk in. Everyone turns and stares at MK. MK looks over at Billie Joe and says "now, can anyone inform me of the reason behind me being upset with Billie Joe?" Nobody responds. "I tried telling you he wasn't upset with you!" Tré says. "If I didn't like you, you would know bby now," MK says quietly. Harry looks over at Billie Joe, Tré, and Mike and states "You three are everything to him." Billie Joe blinks. MK walks out of the room.
