These stories are again the creativity property of my friend Japananimegirl. All rights to the Neo Senshi belong to her. They are also based on the 90s dub, which is why Zoisite is female and married to Kunzite in this story.

Dawn and Shadow seldom saw their parents. However, on the rare occasion they did, it remained an awkward experience for them. The girls believed they were acting strangely despite Kunzite buying Zoisite pink roses or them snuggling up together, which was perfectly normal behavior for a married couple. The former generals tried to devote as much time as possible to their twins. Yet, while Dawn jumped to be with them, Shadow couldn't be bothered!

It wasn't that Shadow didn't love her parents. Instead, she loathed how they came home and acted like leaving their daughters unattended for extended periods didn't affect them! When they were younger, Dawn would wake up crying over a horrible nightmare since neither parent was home, which left it up to Shadow, who sucked at comforting. Sure, Kunzite and Zoisite had been there for the first few years of their lives. Yet, as soon as they could walk and talk, it was back to business!

Consequently, Dawn and Shadow went to Star's house, where Thera took good care of them. The sisters could fend for themselves nowadays. Sadly, the next time they returned, it was earlier than anticipated. An emergency had brought them home because Zoisite had fallen severely ill! Kunzite and Dawn did whatever they could to ease her pain as Shadow researched her symptoms to determine what was wrong with her.

Her mother had fever/chills, headache, cramps, fatigue, sore throat, sneezing, coughing, nausea, and rather unpleasant digestive issues are common symptoms of a virus, which can be treated naturally through rest/sleep, hydration, controlled breathing, healthy diet, moisturized air, and medication, yet can still last up to two weeks. If that wasn't bad enough, a week before Zoisite started exhibiting symptoms, she could've given others the virus because it has an incubation period of a week.

As Dawn tended to her poor mother, she spoke lovingly, "I'm so sorry you must see me like this, honey. However, I did pick this up for you and your sister since you girls seem to like reading so much lately."

Zoisite reached into her suitcase, which she used on her job, and pulled out a hardcover book and a movie. Dawn read the summary of the book first. It was about who most deserved eternal youth in the past and present, if anyone. Also, it discussed the costs, when this theory was presented, where the source of it might be hidden, and why.

"Thanks so much! Except for Mom, doesn't the Silver Crystal already bless our civilizations with eternal youth? Why would theorists still study this?" Dawn questioned curiously.

"Well...yes, but certain individuals can be greedy, Dawn. Those abusing such power will do anything to replicate the Silver Crystal's influences. Not everyone deserves eternal youth, and what if there was a deadly cost to obtain it? However, everything regarding Crystal's creation remains unidentified. When Sailor Moon had to use the Crystal, it wasn't as sought after as it seemed because everyone knew Sailor Moon required it to save them. Now that the Silver Crystal isn't employed as much, people desire it more than ever." Zoisite explained how such a simple object could be so crucial.

"Do you think this book will mention the Silver Crystal?" Dawn questioned while holding the book tightly to her chest.

"I'm sure it will, sweetheart. I believe it likely will not offer you more information than we already know. I just thought you and Dusk might find it amusing." Zoisite smiled weakly.

"Mom, it's Shadow. You know how much she despises her birth name." Dawn lightly scolded.

"That doesn't matter. She's my daughter too, and I will call her by the name your father chose for her...just like I picked yours." Zoisite hugged her bright child.

When Dawn checked the movie, it was a family film, so they could all watch it together. Despite Shadow not like spending time with her family, she did spare meals and movie nights with them. As the twins sat on the floor, side-by-side, Kunzite lifted Zoisite and placed her on his lap, and they held hands. If she were not so sick, she would have kissed him!

"Mom! Dad! Act like a married couple, not newlyweds, or I'm going back upstairs!" Shadow demanded furiously.

"How do you think a married couple should behave?" Kunzite asked his daughter curiously.

"Have I ever been married? No, but I know how Ivy's parents act!" Shadow yelled angrily.

"Every married couple acts differently," Kunzite told the dark-haired teen.

Even after he said this, his wife and he exchanged uncomfortably. While they didn't have a problem with it now, they used to ridicule Nephrite for being in love with a powerless human. Also, they felt even worse as, when Naru finally met them, she was nothing short of polite to them. Of course, this is after Zoisite apologized profusely for murdering Nephrite.

However, Naru didn't desire to dwell on that due to how heartbroken it had made her feel. Nor did she want the kids to view Zoisite negatively. After the movies, Shadow was in a much better mood, though her family knew it would not last. Later the next night, something dark slipped into the house!

Zoisite rested peacefully on the reclining couch in case she needed something, which would be in the kitchen. Whatever this entity was, it knew Zoisite was unwell. They attempted to use her as she could barely fight back! Sprinkling silver powder over her put the blonde woman into a dead sleep! This creature used a red amulet to change from an old and feeble demonic monster to a young, strong, powerfully built man who threw the former general over his shoulder, held her, and turned to leave until a circle of fire spread around him!

"These enemies stoop increasingly lower every time we face one. Now they are reduced to abducting sick people." Shadow insulted and mocked the ghoul.

"Sorry, but you'll have to put our mother back," Dawn growled, who was controlling the fire.

Hissing, the wicked fiend threw Zoisite to the ground and lunged to attack Dawn! Dawn tried to repel him with her mother's signature ability, but it wasn't enough! So, Shadow and she combined their energy blasts to knock him back! Howling in rage, this demon tried to plow into them both, but Shadow threw up a barrier, which reflected attacks. They could hear the monster making outraged sounds as he hit the wall, and the blows hurt him.

"This will wear him down eventually, but we must get Mom." Shadow looked at her twin.

"Leave it to me. I can defend myself with my Sailor Sun attacks."

Worried sick but trusting her twin, Shadow dropped a part of the barrier to let Dawn leap out. Sprinting to her mother's side, Dawn desperately tried to wake her, but it was hopeless! So, Dawn dragged her mother into Shadow's barrier, utilizing Sunburst to keep the demon away from her.

"I can't keep this barricade up permanently. You got any other plans?" Shadow struggled to reinforce her barrier.

"I can try and extract some of his energy, but you'll have to use your Energy Blades to finish him off."

Shadow nodded, and her barrier withered away. Gradually, because demonic energy can be dangerous, Dawn sapped her enemy's will and added it to Shadow's Energy Blades! As Kunzite walked in, due to all the commotion, he saw Shadow stab through the demon! For a minute, the monster remained moving, then he fell, reverting to shadows and dispersed. After the dust settled, Kunzite ran to hug his daughters and help his wife.

Bathing Zoisite washed the silver powder away, waking her up. Startled, Zoisite stuttered, "W-What happened? Where am I?"

"A malevolent entity attempted to abduct you, but you're safe, thanks to Dawn and Dusk." Kunzite played with Zoisite's hair.

"My angels..." Zoisite muttered sarcastically, as Dusk was not exactly an angel. "Are they OK?" She knew her were probably okay. Yet, as a mother, she could not help worrying.

"They fared just as well as we did. As expected, since inheriting your skills." Kunzite smiled as he stroked Zoisite's face.

"Flattery will get you nowhere." Zoisite lightly blushed.

You sure?" Kunzite held her face and kissed her.

"Well...maybe." Zoisite laid her head against her snow-white-haired husband's chest.

Dawn and Shadow, passing by the closed door, stopped to converse quietly. "You were incredible in that battle." Dawn complimented.

"Thanks. You were pretty brave, too. I'm just glad Mom's OK." Shadow side-glanced at the door.

"I thought you didn't...like Mom and Dad?" Dawn asked, confused.

"I love Mom and Dad, Dawn. That never changed. I'm just not into the lovey-dovey way they act all the time. Plus, they refuse to call me by the name I chose for myself." Shadow divulged.

"You mean Dusk?" Dawn grinned teasingly.

"Dawn, don't you dare-!" Shadow began, but Dawn began prancing down the hall, singing, using her twin's birth name. Furious and laughing, Shadow chased her. Shadow did not enjoy her parents' antics, but she did enjoy her twin's antics.
