The Grantz Empire Plays Among Us

Summary: Inspired by the Duchy's recent activities, the Grantz Empire attempts playing Among Us. Chaos ensues.

Denys Geneolgia caught wind of the Duchy of Eternia playing various games with each other – or rather, one specific game. It seemed like an excellent strategy for team bonding and camaraderie building, so he figured that they could all try this out.

After gathering together in what was the remains of the Skyhold to play the game and explaining the rules, everyone else seemed down for it. Tasks were handed out, and the Impostor was randomly assigned.

And now…

"Where!?" Everyone called, just before Revenant was heard speaking up.

"Someone stole one of my wooden blocks!'

A collective gasp left the others, before Denys spoke up, glancing at the others.

"Is anyone sus?"

"I would like to propose that we vote out Geist." Nikolai spoke, and the Bloody Exorcist stared at him.

"What!? I haven't even done anything! And why would I steal my own son's blocks!?"

"Reaper, that's exactly what an Impostor would say." Janne pointed out, raising a brow. "Besides, if there's anyone who's most likely to bring forth bloodshed, it's you."

The Exorcist failed not scowling at him. "Janne, that's not how this game works! We're not actually killing each other in this version!"

"Geist has a point." Denys Geneolgia sighed as he looked between everyone. "We have two Impostors to look out for, and we need to figure out which one of us it is. Since we don't have enough evidence right now, I say that we skip."

"Skip!" Everyone else immediately agreed, save for Nikolai and Janne who voted for Geist. Geist just glared at both of them.

"You two better be happy that I'm not the Impostor…"

"HOW MANY! IMPOSTORS! DO WE HAVE AGAIN!?"

It was Cu Cuhallin's voice ringing through the area, and Angelo sighed as he looked up at the other Asterisk bearer.

"We have two, if my memory's correct. I'm not the Impostor, though…" The Patissier trailed off.

"NEITHER AM I!" A loud laugh left Cu Cuhallin at that. "WE SHOULD! TRAVEL! TOGETHER!"

"Cu?"

Bella looked around. Where did Cu Cuhallin go? It was part of their plan to be a 'buddy system' to look out for Impostors, while doing tasks together – but now he was gone.

There's no way he should've been taken out so soon, Bella realized, so he must've went off on his own to complete a task.

Of course he would, she sighed, of course he would –

That was when a vent opened, and she turned to see –

"You!?"

Bella sulked immediately after being thrown out, taking out Donna, her doll to speak to her.

"…I didn't even get one task done yet…"

"Where's the broom closet!?" Angelo groaned as he looked around. Out of all the times he had to go reorganize a closet, it was now!?

Then again, this was his last task. Most of his other tasks were in the kitchen, and he was fairly familiar with that area given that his Asterisk was the Patissier. He'd gotten through those tasks fast enough, so all he had was this one task left.

"Darlin? What are you up to?"

"Aimee!" He looked up to see Aimee approaching him, and a relieved sigh left him. "Sugarcake, I'm glad to see you. I'm completely lost trying to find the broom closet."

"Oh. Er," She pointed to his left, "It's right beside you."

Angelo followed her pointed finger to see - the broom closet. He did his best to suppress a groan, but inside he wanted to facepalm himself for his foolishness. "It was there the whole time!?"

An emergency beep rang through the area, and everyone reappeared at the meeting room.

"Where!?"

"Someone took Bella meowt!" Minette pointed, and the others let out their own audible gasps.

"MILADY!" Cu Cuhallin's jaw dropped, before he shook his head, frowning. "THIS! IS MY FAULT! I ACCIDENTALLY LEFT HER BEHIND!"

"Left her behind?" Nikolai asked, frowning. "Does that mean you two were on a buddy system together before you split up?"

"I HAD A TASK ELSEWHERE!"

"Or," Janne pointed out, raising a brow, "Cu took her out himself. I call a self-report!"

Everyone else stared at Cu Cuhallin, then at Janne, then pointed at Cu Cuhallin.

Cu Cuhallin was kicked out of the building.

Bella stared at him.

"You…were..sus?"

"YES! THEY SAW THAT I WAS SUS!"

Bella tried not to cover her own ears as Cu Cuhallin half-yelled out his answer, before someone else spoke up.

"Are you two okay!?"

"REVENANT!?" Cu Cuhallin turned to see the glowing blue suit of armor – one that was a boy deep inside. "HOW DID YOU GET OUT HERE!?"

"I got taken out right before your meeting." Revenant replied, before a whine left him. "Aww, I wanted to win…"

Denys checked the results.

"Cu Cuhallin…was…not the Impostor!"

A groan left everyone else remaining, and Janne visibly grimaced.

"Oof. Okay, he's gonna kill me later over this."

"Is anyone else sus?" Aimee asked. "Me and my Darlin' were finding our tasks together, so it's not us!"

Before anyone else could speak up, Geist let out a yell.

"Where's Rev!?"

A gasp left the others as they looked around – and indeed, Revenant was gone!

"He must've been taken out right before this meeting," Aimee managed, shaking her head.

Janne swallowed as he saw Geist's brows furrow. "Oh no."

"Who the hell," Geist seethed, glaring at everyone else remaining, "Took out my son!?"

If looks could kill, Geist would've massacred everyone in the room instantly. Even the Kaiser was a bit unnerved, and Nikolai visibly shuddered.

"Remind me to never get on Geist's bad side," Angelo whispered to Aimee, just before Minette spoke up, pointing a hand at the Bishop.

"It was Nikolai, meow! I saw him take Rev meowt!"

"YOU!" Geist turned to glare at Nikolai, who held up his hands in surrender.

"It's not me!" Nikolai protested. "It was Minette! She took Revenant out and now she's self-reporting to try to blame it on me!"

"No! Meow're lying!"

Before Minette could climb onto the meeting table and try to lunge at him, Geist quickly held her back – albeit not without glaring at Nikolai.

"I believe Minette. Nikolai's the imp!"

"For good measure, I'm not!" Nikolai called back.

Aimee, Angelo, Janne, and the Kaiser all exchanged glances before they all pointed at the Bishop. Nikolai could only sigh, facepalming himself.

Nikolai was thrown out, just before Janne called the results.

"Nikolai…was…AN IMPOSTOR!"

A cheer came up from the whole group, before Geist spoke up.

"Is that why he tried to throw me out in the first meeting by claiming that I was an Impostor? Because he guessed that I'd probably consider him sus right away?"

Everyone else awkwardly looked toward the Exorcist with quiet nods. "…Yes…"

"We still have one Impostor left," Denys warned, looking between the group, "And we don't have a lot of people left. Let's get our tasks done and win that way if possible."

"Got it!"

Angelo was done all his tasks! Finally!

But what could he do now? A sigh left him as he went through the hallways – perhaps he could rejoin Aimee and help her finish her tasks.

"I wonder if two Impostors was too much, given how many people are out already…" After all, there was only himself, Aimee, Janne, the Kaiser, Minette, and Geist remaining.

He doubted Geist was the Impostor, and it wasn't himself and Aimee either. So it had to be one of the remaining four out of the six of them.

Despite Nikolai's earlier accusations, he doubted it was Minette. Or Geist. Which meant…

That was when he heard a vent flip open, and he turned to see – a groan left the Patissier as the other closed in on him.

"You!? Really!?"

Angelo was thrown out of the building.

"Oof." Angelo heard Belle murmur. "Are you…okay?"

"I'm fine," Angelo grunted as he got up, "Other than a bruised ego."

"Darlin'? Are you there!?"

No answer. Aimee swallowed as she looked around. She knew that this game was all about stealth, something she was decent at, but there was a certain amount of strategy involved other than just hiding. Angelo had left her side earlier to finish the last of his tasks, and she was in Electrical, trying to finish wires. A sigh left her as she turned –

Just in time to see that a control panel was broken.

"Shoot! I should – "

"Aimee!?"

She turned just in time to see Kaiser Oblivion and Janne staring at her incredulously. Aimee gasped, holding up both her hands in surrender.

"Wait, this wasn't me! I just saw it after I finished my task, I swear…!"

Aimee was thrown out of the building, but Angelo was quick to help her stand.

"Are you okay, sugarcake!?" Angelo fussed over her a bit. "Are you harmed!?"

"Darlin, I'm fine, and," Aimee felt her face flush, "How many times do I have to tell you not to call me that in public!?"

Angelo's face flushed red as the others chuckled. "I'm sorry!"

An emergency beep rang through the area, and Denys found himself standing opposite Geist and Janne. "Where!?"

"Your Majesty, you have to believe me!" Geist insisted, his wide-eyed gaze meeting his. "Janne's the Impostor! I saw him throw out Minette just now and I reported it immediately!"

"No way!" Janne snapped back, looking between Geist and the Kaiser before shaking his head. "I saw Geist do it! He's obviously doing a self-report!"

"You're lying!"

As Geist and Janne continued to argue, Denys looked between both, unsure of what to say. He'd been by Geist's side and Janne's side previously, and neither of them tried taking him out – so who was he to trust in this situation?

If he couldn't make a rational decision, he decided, he'd go with his gut – and so pointed the finger at Janne, who gasped.

Geist's eyes widened, before he pointed at Janne as well. "You…!"

"I –" Janne paused, then sighed, hanging his head in defeat before pointing at himself. "Dangit."

Janne was thrown out of the building, just before Denys called the results.

"Janne…was…AN IMPOSTOR!"

A gasp came from Geist, and he turned toward Denys with a grin on his face – not his usual menacing one, but softer, gentler. "Your Majesty," He started, "that means…!"

Denys couldn't help but smile. "We win!"

A cheer came from all the crewmates as they were let inside the building, save for Nikolai and Janne since they were the Impostors and therefore the losers this time around.

"How did you screw that up at the last opportunity?" Nikolai groaned as he looked toward Janne. "If you'd made sure to watch yourself while throwing out Minette, we would've won!'

"Hey!" Janne snapped, "It's not my fault that Reaper's able to sneak around everywhere in the shadows! He doesn't even need a vent for it!"

"For good measure, you still should've been more vigilant!"

As both Janne and Nikolai continued arguing, Kaiser Oblivion looked outside the window.

"Should we let them fight it out before we let them back in?" He asked. "I'd be concerned about them glaring at each other for a while."

"I think they'll do that either way," Aimee quipped, just before Angelo spoke up.

"Maybe we should invite more people next time. This game seemed awfully quick."

"Agreed." Denys looked toward the Patissier with a nod. "Remind me to invite the Astrologian sometime. I'm sure he might enjoy playing this game."

"OR," Cu Cuhallin was heard shouting, "WE SHOULD! INVITE THE DUCHY! TO PARTICIPATE!"

"The entire Duchy!?" Aimee's jaw dropped. "Hold on a sec! We don't have enough room to fit them in this place!"

"Central Command should be big enough to host us and them." The Kaiser noted. "I can probably reach out and see if they would be interested in having us over for one of their sessions. Maybe I can invite Yew and his companions as well…"

"That would be a lot of people, meow." Minette noted, moving to sit on the meeting table. The Kaiser didn't stop her. "Are mew sure?"

"I'm sure. Besides," A low chuckle left him, "I think it'll make things more…interesting."
