A/N: THIS CHAPTER IS JUST TO SHOW THAT IZUMI IS NOT A GOODY TWO SHOES HERO AND ALSO HAS A FATAL FLAW
THAT NIGHT
Izumi had a fatal flaw that she knew very much well was that she was an andrenaline junkie. She felt thrill while doing dangerous things. People thought that she became hero only for sole purpose of helping everyone but what they didn't know is that the main reason was that she was thrill seeker. She enjoyed the feeling living at the edge of knife. She loved jumping over the roofs, fighting criminals and many more. The one thing that gave her more thrill than any other after fighting criminals is street racing mainly illegal street racing. She couldn't do that in her home world as people were not interested in cars as they used to so this was an opportunity for her to try that. So, she had Athena look for a race meet up in the city. When she saw that it was at night and few miles away from the the base, she decided to go.
Izumi was going through the living room towards the door for leaving the mansion when she was stopped in her way by five people specifically the female rangers and Bridge.
"Where are you going?", asked Kira as she was standing in the front.
"Well, if you want to know, you can come with me", said Izumi and walked leaving behind the five rangers who looked after her then shrugged and followed after her as they had some questions they wanted to ask.
When they neared her car, she said, "Get in".
"Are we even going to fit in that?", asked Bridge as he saw that it was a two seater car by the looks of it.
"Yes , we will", replied Izumi as she moved the passenger seat to allow her colleagues to enter. They all were worried how they are going to fit but trusting her four of the girls went inside the car and found they could sit all comfortably without any problem. After putting the passenger seat back in place, she allowed Bridge to seat on the passenger seat after which she sat on the driver seat and drove off.
After few minutes of silence, Rose asked, " How did we all four fit comfortably inside?"
"Inner Spatial expansion which was not easy to invent but after creating liquid nano-tech which became very easy", was the reply she got.
That had Bridge and Rose in awe to have created nanotech and see its usage in such a way.
"So, where are we going?", asked Kira.
"One thing I always wanted to do after watching the Fast & Furious series, street racing", replied Izumi happily.
This answer stunned to find this side of their multi-versal colleague.
"Bridge, you will find some masks and hats in the glove box, please pass it out to everyone", said Izumi which he did.
"Why the masks and caps?", asked Tori.
"To protect our identities and so that we don't ruin the fun", said Izumi.
"So, what type of engine does this car have?", asked Ronnie wanting to know as she could not hear any engine sound.
"This car is all electric running on Midoriya Enterprise patented Arc technology", was the reply.
"Arc tech but isn't it all theoretical", said Bridge.
"Not, if you have the right materials", replied Izumi.
After that they fell into small talks until they reach the race meet. The rangers see cars everywhere lined up on the side with few showing there engines. They saw many girls in short dresses and some even were more than appropriate. After finding a space to park, they got out of the car.
After a few minutes, they saw crowd gather together and Izumi went their to get herself in the race.
"Hey, Hey, I want in", said Izumi showing stack of cash.
"Yeah, and what car?", asked a man getting a laugh out of people.
Izumi just pointed to her car and said, "It's a custom job, so you won't find it on any market."
"Well, we will allow you to race but if you lose, we get the cash and the car too", said the person in the middle who by the looks of it was the leader of the meet.
"But if you loose, I get to keep your car and cash prize.", said Izumi boldly getting oohs from the crowd.
Izumi and the man kept staring at each other until he said, "Let's race".
After that crowd separated and the starting line was formed with many people going towards the finish line including the other rangers after Izumi told them to go.
On the starting line were five cars including Izumi's. Other four cars were a Mazda RX-7 Spirit R, a '98 Toyota Supra, a Nissan Skyline R34 and a Honda Civic. The drivers sat in the car revving the engine waiting for the race to start. Izumi's car producing an artificial sound to make people think that it contained a petrol engine and not an electric engine. Izumi saw that the main guy was in the Nissan. One of the girl from the group stood in the middle to give the signal.
Izumi waited with a breath as adrenaline flooded her body which excited her. She had already set her car on launch control. The time slowed down for her and when the chaser said go, she let off the brake pedal and her car moved forward at a greater speed than others. She took the lead easily and kept gaining distance easily as she did not have to worry about shifting. She easily crossed the line at the quarter mile as it was a drag race. The crowd was stunned to se the unbeaten guy was defeated by this young woman. Others reached after few seconds after finishing. The leader did not say anything, as he just went to the woman gave her his car key and pink slip. The organizer gave her the cash prize after which the rangers left the area with Ronnie, Rose and Bridge taking the Nissan and others going in Izumi's car.
