The stars glistened brightly across the dark night sky and a warm breeze swept through the lush Mobian hills. It was a gorgeous evening and he felt relaxed, at peace in mind and soul. Luke sat beneath the tree in his echidna form, staring at the crescent moon while it rose into the night sky.
But the beauty of the night wasn't the only thing that on his mind. No, his mind was on her.
Man, oh, man, how could he not think of the ever-gorgeous Sky the Echidna? She had been the apple of his eye since the day they first met, and their bond was unbreakable. Their hearts were intertwined, the both of them seemed to be inseparable and Luke made the shapely pink echidna feel happy every day they were together.
He smiled and pulled out a picture of Sky standing in Green Hill, wearing a revealing white dress. Luke thought of her a little more, then he stood up and stepped out from underneath the tree.
'Damn, why sit here under a tree and just think about her alone, especially when the two of you are spending the evening together at the house downhill?' The green-colored shape-shifter thought, 'Plus, it's dinner night. And you came out here to get some fresh air for a while.'
Luke strolled away from the tree he had been sitting under and walked down the hill, heading towards the house where he and Sky were staying together for the weekend. And he could smell the food she was making; they were having a quarter-house tonight for dinner. The shape-shifter smiled happily, thinking of the champagne they would soon be sharing as they ate together.
Inside the house, down below the hill, Sky the Echidna stood at the stove with her gloved hand gently grasping the handle of the stove as she flipped the steak over.
She closed her eyes and a smile took shape upon her gorgeous face, the pink-colored echidna's feet was adorned in light-blue sandals that contrasted her revealing, sleeveless indigo-colored bodysuit she often wore along with other dresses and outfits that accentuated her highly attractive figure.
While she was no anime girl, Sky still had a gorgeous appearance that turned a few heads. Knowing that Luke felt lucky to have someone like her in his life, the well-skilled echidna fighter smiled warmly as he came to her mind. And then, she heard the knock on the door, followed by the turning of the knob.
Luke stepped into the room, bearing his echidna form with only a slight glimpse of his true eye color. Sky stepped away from the stove, letting the steak cook, and she folded her arms around him as her heart pounded with happiness.
"Look who's back in time for dinner." She said with a sultry smile.
"Can't be out in the night air when them bugs are biting." Luke replied, "And a guy can't afford to be without a heavenly beauty."
A gloved hand gently moved beneath Sky's leg and raised it, the pink echidna stroked Luke's neck and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. Luke leaned in and Sky dipped her head, loving eyes drooped and a slight explosion of love filled the kitchen and the house as they kissed. Luke pressed his lips hard against Sky's and they exchanged tongues until they pulled away to breathe.
On top of that, it was time to eat.
Luke grabbed the plates and Sky prepared the tasty-looking steak. Out came the knives and forks, the table was set, and they sat down together. Sky bisected the meat, letting her boyfriend have a piece while she had hers. However, there was one more thing they could not forget.
Sky grabbed some glasses from the cabinet, then she grabbed some bottles, and poured the champagne into them. Luke smiled; one couldn't eat without having a drink as well.
Now, they could eat. Luke and Sky sat back down with their glasses of champagne next to their plates. Luke kissed his pink love gently on the shoulder, nearly surprising her, then he cut off a piece of his steak and bit into it. Despite tasting a little hot, it was so juicy, so tasty, worth savoring next to the beauty of Sky the Echidna.
'Just as good as it was when we got it today.' Sky thought, briefly glancing out the window at the moon in the sky, 'Thank you, Lord, for the meal we have received. Amen.'
'Can't wait for dessert.' Luke glanced at Sky, locking eyes with the love of his life, and, in his mind, he was picturing every single moment they spent together and visualizing the time he and Sky would be spending together when they finished dinner.
For now, the steak mattered the most, and it was just as sweet as her.
Luke chowed down on every last piece of his meat, savoring the taste of each piece of steak that he ate. He sipped some champagne after a bite, then he ate more of it, and then he drank a little more champagne. Sky slowly went through her meal, tasting every side and piece of her steak carefully. She made sure to drink as well, tasting the tasty champagne after biting into part of the steak.
"Is that makeup or did you get some steak juice on your face?" Luke asked with a chuckle.
Sky blushed and picked up a napkin, carefully wiping away the food stain that was on her mouth from the tasty steak she was eating. She thanked her love and dug into the rest of her meal, Luke ate with her. A short time later, their plates were empty.
And all the couple had left was champagne.
Luke locked eyes with Sky and she stared back at him. She raised her glass, Luke did the same, and they clinked their drinks together before taking a long sip of the tasty red liquid. Sky stood up and kissed the green shape-shifter on the cheek, then they cleared the table, rinsed the plates and proceeded to put them away.
Now was the time for dessert. Luke looked to Sky with a smile and asked, "Shall we go outside to see some heavenly beauty?"
"Your heavenly beauty awaits in the other room, sweet Luke." Sky whispered, "Along with dessert."
She pecked him on the cheek, then she headed into the next room. Luke smiled, then he followed his beating heart. He headed to the lounge, smelling the scent of candles. He spotted Sky's boots and bodysuit laying on the ground, then he turned to see her waiting for him on the sofa, laying on her side in a revealing silky dress.
Desert had just been served. Sky flexed her finger and Luke approached the couch. The shapely echidna sat up and looped her arms around his neck, reeling him closer as though she'd caught a fish. Luke clambered onto the couch and got comfortable near Sky, who pressed her figure unto his torso.
'Oh shit.' Luke thought, his eyes filling with hearts, 'We are in for one hot evening.'
Sultry piano music began to play over a record and Sky leaned closer to Luke until her lips connected with his. Luke's eyes widened, then they drooped. Sky stroked his shoulder and pressed herself further unto him until she felt his hands grasping her hips. Crickets chirped outside and, in seconds, both echidna and shapeshifter were deeply entranced in their love...
The End
