Bella pov

It has been three months since I was adopted. I feel like I'm fully accepted in this family, even if I'm the human in a family of vampires.

Today I have decided that I'd sit in the middle of the forest with a book to read. It was quiet which I liked. It turned my mind off.

After a few hours, I threw the book into my bag and start my walk home when suddenly I see her red curly hair. I'm a mile from the house at this point. I know I can't outrun her but I decide to scream, I don't know how far vampires can hear from but at this moment I'm hoping it's a mile.

I throw my bag on the ground before she grabs me so they know I'm in trouble. I hope they will come at that point she grabbed me and sped off.

Carlisle pov

It was about four in the evening when we heard her blood-curdling scream. Everyone who was home ran to where it coming from. Alice, Rose, and Jasper.

When we got there she was gone all that was left was her was her backpack. Alice picked it up and smelt it.

"It smells like a vampire, not one of us through"

Was it one of the vampires she told me about all those months ago? I tried to find them but just names and a vague description wasn't enough alone. All I hope is that we find her in time.

"Rose call the others, tell them to search for her. We will do the same. This town isn't that big hopeful they didn't leave"

Bella's pov

I was thrown into an abandoned warehouse. She left after tying my hand and feet together. Right when I thought I'd find my place in the world, is when I'm going to die.

James walked in about an hour of me sitting on the cold floor alone and terrified.

"Well, I've heard you have been hanging with other vampires. They even tell you they are family, which isn't true obviously but that doesn't matter. I'm here to punish you"

Then he ran to me and bit hardly at my neck. I've been bitten many of times before but it never felt like this. This time it almost felt like battery acid but before my dad did instruct them to keep me alive not they don't have to do that.

Suddenly he was thrown off of me. I hit the ground pretty hard and started to spasm. I shift my eyes and I see Carlisle. He actually came to save me.

Carlisle pov

I saw him biting her. I ran up to him as fast as I could to push him off of her. After that, I ran to him again. We both threw some punches at each other. After about fifteen minutes I finally got his head off.

At that moment I saw the other two come in. They both came after me. I quickly grabbed the redhead by the hair as she tried to run her head came off. The last one took a little longer than the other two. He was a little stronger and faster but I wouldn't let him get away with this. Finally, after about thirty minutes of back and forth, I got his head as well.

I run up to Bella seeing her spasm her eyes tearing with pain. Then I realize what was happening. I ran up to her.

"I'm so sorry" is all I could think about saying. I may have defeated the bad guys but I didn't save her.

"For what" she said pretty quietly almost in a whisper. She should be screaming in pain. But she's not but of course, pain isn't a new thing for her. Maybe a lifetime of abuse gave her a tolerance to the pain of being turned.

"Do you know what is happening to you" I asked

She shook her head "They've bitten me before but it's never felt like this"

I hesitated. What should I tell her? Will she blame me for this? But she needs to know.

"He injected his venom into you. You are turning into a vampire. I'm so sorry"

"It's not your fault" She attempted to smile when she said that

"How long will this take"

"It depends. The average is three days but he didn't get very much into so it probably will be at least five. I can put more into you, it will be more painful but faster"

"I'd prefer it to get over with"

"After it reaches your heart you'll still be able to feel the pain but won't be conscious of what's going around you just so you know" She nods at me

I scoop her off the floor and then tore the rope off of her. I let quite a bit of venom pool into my mouth before hitting her. Then as we were leaving I threw a lighter behind us and the place went up into flames.

About 45 minutes later we arrived back home. Everyone else was already there. I walked in with her and everyone looked up.

"What happened to her" Alice asked

"I found her. The one bit her I took care of all of them. But he injected her with venom" She looked at me sad

"You think she's okay"

"She was still conscious when I got to her. She didn't blame me. She asked to be injected with more venom so it would take less time. She's probably going to be awake sometime tomorrow"

"Well we will all be by her side" Rose said cheerfully and smiled.

Then I set her on the couch and waited with everyone else.
