The next day, Felix was getting ready for the day in his new room when he heard a knock on the door. He then opened the door in response and found out it was a full grown woman who was knocking.

"You must be Felix," said the woman, "I'm Carlina and I'm an experienced maid who has been serving the royal family for a while." "Their Majesties have assigned me to help you out with whatever you need during your stay here."

"I see," said Felix, "Well I was told that I would be taking lessons in fighting." "Do you know where I'm supposed to go?"

"Indeed," answered Carlina, "I'll show you the way to the knights hall." "Just follow me and you'll be there in no time."

Carlina then guided Felix to the knights hall. While traveling through the castle, Felix noticed pictures that were a lot like the pictures he saw in Purah's house.

"These are some impressive pictures," said Felix.

"They are," agreed Carlina, "They were all taken by the King and Queen by using either the Shiekah Slate or the Purah Pad." "At different times, they both stopped working for different reasons and the King and Queen were worried if they needed more pictures." "At least now with the Hyrule Phones, it can be done again."

A little while later, Felix and Carlina arrived at the knights hall where Felix saw so many knights training intensively. A few seconds after a man came over to them.

"Are you Felix," asked the man.

"Yes," answered Felix who felt intimidated by the man.

"I thought so when I noticed your ears," said the man, "My name is Garry and I'm the General of the Hyrulian Army." "You don't need to be intimidated by me, I only harm monsters and criminals."

"Very well," said Felix, letting his guard down, "I was told yesterday that you'll be giving me fighting lessons." "Are you ok with that?"

"If His Majesty thinks it should be done, it's fine with me," replied Garry, "He's always had an eye for talent and I owe him everything anyway."

"What do you mean by you owe the KIng everything," asked Felix.

"Well after the Upheaval and before Hyrule was completely restored, King Link, who was just Link at the time before marrying Queen Zelda and becoming royalty himself, made me one of his four apprentices," explained Garry, "You see His Majesty was originally a knight assigned to protect at the time Princess Zelda and he was also Hyrule's greatest warrior but when the Princess proposed to him for marriage, Link knew he had to teach the next generation." "So he found four individuals that he believed had the makings of powerful warriors and taught him what he knew." "By the time Link and Zelda got married and became the King and Queen of the restored Hyrule, the other apprentices and I went our separate ways and did what we wanted to do with what we learned with me becoming the General of the new Hyrulian army." "Anyway, I think it's time to show you what I know."

"I'll be leaving now Felix," said Carlina, "I still have other duties as a maid to do."

Once Carlina left, Garry showed Felix to a practice dummy and then revealed three different practice weapons.

"We fight with three types of weapons," explained Garry, "First there's one handed weapons, next there's two handed weapons, and finally spears." "Let's see how you do with each of them."

Felix was then given the practice one handed weapon and started attacking the dummy with it. After about ten minutes, he was then given the practice spear and did the same thing with it for another ten minutes. He then went through the same routine with the practice two handed weapon and by the time Garry told him to stop, Felix felt really tired.

"Those moves I saw you do with each of the weapons seemed alright for a beginner but you'll need to improve a lot of it for a while," explained Garry.

"I guess so," said Felix, "They all look simple to use but they aren't that simple apparently."

"For now we'll keep working on it," said Garry, "I'm sure you'll be just as good as I am if you keep it up." "Anyway, I think that's enough for now." "You can do what you want now."

Felix then left the knights hall and returned to his room. By the time he got there, he noticed a dummy and one of each of the types of practice weapons were in the room as well as a letter. Curious, Felix picked up the letter and started reading it.

"If you're reading this Felix, then that means your first lesson with General Garry went well," started the letter, "I figured you could use extra practice in your free time if you ever need it." "For that reason, I had one of the dummies and some practice weapons transferred to your room from the knights hall." "I hope you use them well since I expect you could be just as great a warrior as my apprentices or even myself." "Sincerely, King Link."

"So the King believes I can be a powerful warrior," said Felix to himself, "I wonder why he thinks that?" "No matter, I'll put these gifts to good use and meet his expectations."

Felix then went on his bed for a little rest after that and began to wonder what he should do with his life in Hyrule.
