Alec's PoV
"I want everyone looking for Clary Fairchild, she has been missing for two days now, she has no phone, no stele, no gear, and no one has heard from her" I commanded then dismissed the team. At first I wasn't worried. I knew she needed space, she was head over heels in love with Jace once so I assumed she went to go see Simon. But after a few hours Simon came to the institute looking for her as apparently she wasn't replying to her phone. I quickly found it on her dresser next to her stele with her gear and daggers in a corner. She was out there, alone, defenseless and something in me went into overdrive. I found her favorite hoodie on the back of a chair and started trying to track it but nothing was coming up. No, she couldn't be dead, she couldn't be. I called Magnus for help but he came up empty handed too. That was two days ago. Since then I had been sending shadowhunters everywhere looking for her. Even Luke's pack and the vampires had tried looking for her but it was hopeless.
"Brother you need a break, we will find her" my sister tried as she caressed my shoulder. I shook it off in annoyance.
"There's disappearing because you find your boyfriend cheating on you and there's been kidnapped, something bad has happened I know it"
"But there is nothing else we can do, it's like she isn't even in the city, we have searched every ally way, every spot that means something to her, hell we have even been teaming up with mundane police, there's nothing more to do but give it time Alec"
I punched the table in frustration just narrowly missing the mouse connected to the monitor in front of me that was constantly checking security cameras across the world for her face in a camera.
Then as I stared at my fist that was beginning to ooze blood onto the stainless metal, a light bulb went off in my head and I quickly pulled up a map of Alicante before wiping my hand on my leather pants and casting a healing rune. Clary was brilliant with breaking rules such as creating her own portals and possibly not even in New York. Did her family have any property that would have fallen into her name? An abandoned house or farm somewhere? Isabelle, seeing my train of thought, spared a moment's hesitation before she began to expand the search into Luke's family and Valentine's family. We came up with a number of possible places that she could be hiding in.
"See brother, there is hope" my sister said with a big smile. Her hope was contagious and I allowed myself a brief moment of joy before kissing her forehead and rushing off to get my bow and arrow.
