I awoke to the smell of bacon wafting up the stairway into my room and realized the door was open, so he had come back to check on me or stare at me in my sleep. I shuddered at the afterthought and rolled over wondering if anyone was able to track my hair yet. I could hear him frying up some eggs and could smell pancakes. My stomach began rumbling and protesting as I glared out the window. It was no longer snowing. After a few minutes I gave up, got out of bed and looked out the window. We were in a village to my amazement, if I were to hazard a guess we were in Paris, from what I could see of the unique buildings. How the hell did we end up here? Was I portaled? But how did the whole house go through the portal. I had a quick look around and it definitely was the same room I had back in the forest. Yet now I was in a small village outside of Paris. The thought of 'how would anyone be able to track me now' pounded in the back of my head. After a few minutes of trying to strategize, the smell pierced my nose from down stairs causing yet another grumble of my stomach. I started making my way downstairs surrendering to my grumbling stomach. As I descended the stairs however I was met with very familiar eyes, Jace. My heart nearly skipped a beat as I thought he could save me till I took in the smirk on his face with his wondering eyes. He wasn't my Jace. "Are you hungry Clary?" Jonathan called from the kitchen. Jace started walking towards the kitchen leaving me with no other choice but to follow.
Set out on the island was a platter of pancakes, a plate of bacon, a plate of eggs, a basket of croissants and muffins. I reached out to grab a savory croissant, it burnt my fingers and I had to quickly had to put it down again which caused a laugh to escape from Jace's mouth. "Told you she would try" said Jace with a smirk.
"Yes you did. You may eat as much as you want Clary at a price. Today's price is a kiss to Jace, just a kiss. Could be a peck, could be something more" Jonathan said while buttering some english muffin`s. I glared at how the butter melted instantly on the piping hot muffins and how good everything looked. It's not like I haven't kissed Jace before, just that this wasn't him. I tried looking at Jace to see a sliver of who I fell in love with but there was nothing.
"Jace is no longer the Jace you remember, he's now my pet, my mother, Lilith gave him a love potion which removed all the love he once felt towards you so dont try looking to him for comfort" Jonathan said as he began plating a plate of food for himself. I contemplated my options and decided to turn on my heel and head upstairs. Someone would find me soon, they had to. I made my way into my room and decided I should mark the days so I quickly crawled under the bed and made a mark in the mahogany wood with my nail. I then crawled under the covers and tried my best to ignore my stomach. Jace was under a spell, spells could be broken or at least I hoped so.
The days passed by, Jonathan continued to taunt me, each morning with something more tantalizing then the last. This mornings offer was steak and eggs on freshly baked bread and a tour through Notre Dame. Course his request each day got worse and worse. First it was a simple kiss, I wish I had taken that offer. Hell even the second offer, a kiss to him, Jonathan. Those were easy, god did I miss food. Thankfully I had access to running water so I could at least stay hydrated. I would get an hour to myself before training would start all the way till around six at night where the two of them would go eat dinner and I was given a single bread roll to eat before showering and sleeping. Training was brutal, at first I thought it was just hard going all day, skipping lunch to train till I realized it was no longer training but almost fighting for my life. I had been gone for a month now and occasionally had to accept his disgusting deal for food. I needed to keep my strength up. Someone had to find me eventually right? I was beginning to lose hope and they knew it.
