Hey there, so with Netflix showing the pics for the upcoming Avatar Live Action I got a little bit of Nostalgia and looked back at the show that started at all. Still amazing and I wish more major anime fanfic crossovers with Avatar could happen. The Avatar Fairy Tail fic happened, but that one was abandoned and rely on the Power of friendship. There are few good One Piece x Avatar ones, but there isn't a big Demon Slayer x Avatar one.

I had one before, but I wasn't satisfied with how it looked. I wanted to re do the story and be a little more specific. This fic will mostly be based on the story Avatar: Search for One Piece, where the Avatar world and the One Piece world are the same, the story was discontinued because the writer wanted to do some different things. However, this will be my style. Let's see how Demon Slyer and Avatar interact.

These are the four nations that made up a large amount of the world. All was peaceful between the Water Tribe, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads. All thanks to the Avatar. The master of all four elements. But that peace disappeared when the fire nation attacked.

Only the Avatar could stop them but when the world need him most…he vanished.

100 years have passed and the fire nation is nearing victory and are close to controlling all four nations.

The last Avatar was from the Fire Nation itself, and the next Avatar should have been born as an Air Nomad…. but a new Avatar never appeared.

But while the war was going on between nations…there was a territory outside of the four nations, known as the neutral territory or neutral region. Places occupied by people who didn't bend any element or were itself isolated from the war between the four elements. While that was the true, the neutral territory had a problem of their own, a secret horror that took the life of many, Demons. Creatures who were immortal and were hungry for human blood, the only way to combat a demon was the Demon Slayer Corp.

The world was kept in balance for a good amount of time, but with the Fire Nation gaining more power and the Demons continuing existence only a miracle would need to happen to stop everything.

In the ´´Neutral Regions´´

Tanjiro Kamado was a boy that until a few years ago has lost everything. His family was killed by a demon, with the exception of his little sister Nezuko was turned into one. Tanjiro made a vow to make sure his sister would return to be human, and for that to happen he need it to become a demon slayer first.

He did a great amount of brutal training all made by his teacher Sakonji Urokodaki, and learned what was called ´´Water Breathing´´, now that he was a certified Demon Slayer with a uniform and a Katana he was ready to go out and slay as many demons until he could find a way for his sister to become human again.

''Tanjiro, are you ready to leave for your missions?" Asked Urokodaki.

''Yes, mister Urokodaki, if you like to me to do something before I leave I would be glad to do it.'' Said Tanjiro.

The masked man looked a little tense, but he then told Tanjiro something that he didn't expect to do.

''I would like for you to take a journey, to learn more about Water Breathing.'' Said Urokodaki.

''A journey? Where?' Asked Tanjiro.

'''Have you heard of Water Benders?" Asked Urokodaki.

The question made Tanjiro look puzzled.

''Water Benders?'' Asked him.

''Yes, those who can bend and control water?'' Asked Urokodaki.

''Well, I heard stories about them. Don't they live on the coldest part of the sea?'' Asked Tanjiro.

''Yes. The true is I have a history with Water Benders myself.'' Said Urokodaki.

''Really!'' Said Tanjiro in shokc.

Urokodaki just nod as he tells a little tale.

''When I was a young Demon Slayer, I was still trying to perfect the use of Water Breathing, one night I ended up send away to the Water Tribe of the South to stop a demon and there I meet the Water Benders. They taught me the basic training so I can perfect Water Breathing, I also meet a woman who became a close friend of mine.'' Said Urokodaki.

''What´s her name?" Asked Tanjiro.

''Her name is Kanna, and she gave me this before I left.'' Said Urokodaki.

The old man open a secret door in his house, inside there was a little scroll with the Water Tribe symbol on it.

''Here it is a Water Bend teaching scroll. Its over 30 years old.'' Said Urokodaki giving to Tanjiro.

''Wow! I never seen something like this! You´re saying that I can do Water Bending?" Asked Tanjiro.

''In a sense, Water Breathing has also connections to Water Bending. You proved to be a good user of the breathing technique, so if you keep training you can learn how to master this type of bending.

''Really!'' Said Tanjiro in shock.

''Yes, in a sense breathing technique are a path for the Bending. Only a few non benders can do that. You saw how long it took you to achieve its potential.'' Said Urokodaki.

''And why would like for me to go to the Water Tribe"? Asked Tanjiro.

''I think its time for you to learn proper Water Bending, I am not a bender so I can't use it very well. Besides I haven't used in years, you´re still young and can learn a lot from it. I can contact the headquarters and tell that you´re going to be out, however I need an answer now.'' Said Urokodaki.

The young teen didn't know what to do, he saw the wooden box that was a gift from the old man, that would help Tanjiro carry Nezuko around when the sun was out.

''I know this might be dangerous and you´re going to be alone, but if you want to get even stronger, I highly suggest that.'' Said Urokokadi.

Tanjiro tight his fist and took a deep breath, he knew what to do.

''I would love to take the journey.'' Said him.

''I am going to inform the headquarters; I am going to call my crow.'' Said Urokodaki.

''Thank you, mister Urokodaki.'' Said Tanjiro.

Urokodaki nod at that and soon grabbed some stuff to give to Tanjiro.

''Here is a map and some money, go to the dock of the city. There is a little boat that can take you to the Water Tribe.'' Said Urokodaki.

''Thank you.'' Said Tanjiro.

A few days later

Once he had said goodbye to mister Urokodaki Tanjiro was now fully read to embark on his journey to the Water South Tribe, making sure he meet Kaana and ask her about the Water Bending teachings.

At the docks.

Tanjiro found the boat that mister Urokodaki talked about, he arrived and gave the money to the rower.

''I would like to go to the South Water Tribe.'' Said Tanjiro.

''Ok boy, but this will be a long journey. Are you ok with that?" Asked the rower.

Tanjiro just nod and in a few hours the two were out in the waters.

One day and night later

The cold environment hit Tanjiro hard, however, thanks to growing in the mountain he was ok with this cold, but it was getting too much even for him. Nezuko didn't mind because she didn't feel cold at all.

''First time in Water Region?" Asked the man.

''Yes, I never been here before.'' Said Tanjiro.

''Usually, I take people to the Earth Kingdom, its more peaceful.'' Said him.

''I see. How are people of the other regions?" Asked Tanjiro.

''People of the four are a bit tense, now with the fire nation ruling everything everyone has to be on point.'' Said the rower.

''and what about where we were living?" Asked Tanjiro.

''We are called the Neutral Region; we are the part of the world with few benders and we don't take much action when it comes to the war.'' Said him.

''Understood.'' Said Tanjiro.

The rower kept making sure the boat stay still, if they falled into the cold water it could be a death sentence. However, in the middle of the paddling the boat stopped.

''Stay quiet kid.'' Said the rower.

''Uh? Why?" Asked Tanjiro.

''look.'' Said the rower pointing at something.

What he was pointing was a huge ship, probably the biggest that Tanjiro has ever seen in his entire life.

''What is that?" Asked Tanjiro.

''Is a fire nation battleship.'' Said the rower.

''Is the entire fire nation in there?" Asked Tanjiro.

''No, just a little army.'' Said the man.

Tanjiro just got a look of horror in his face, how come a country have this much fire power and yet this is considered little?

''It's so huge!'' Thought Tanjiro.

The rower was now shaken a bit, if he was spotted, he could be arrested.

''I am sorry kid, you will have to find another way.'' Said the rower.

''Uh? Why?" Asked Tanjiro.

''If we are seen we will be taken and tossed to jail. Its too risky.'' Said him.

''But I promised mister Urokodaki to reach the Water Tribe.'' Said Tanjiro.

''With the fire nation around you be lucky to even breath here, there´s no way you can reach that tribe safety.'' Said the rower.

The rower started to paddle back, not sure of what to do if another ship pass by.

Nearby.

''Sokka! Look at that! Travelers!'' Said Katara, a water tribe girl with her brother Sokka.

''I don't think they are travelers! They look like spies.'' Said him.

''They look lost, should we help them?" Asked her.

'Of course not, if they are here to spy on us let them be lost. After all what kind of person would…'' Said Sokka but Katara didn't listen to him.

''Hey!'' Scream her.

''Katara!'' Said him in shock.

Tanjiro and the rower look around and saw the two siblings.

''Oh! I guess its our lucky day.'' Said the rower.

''Are those members of the Water Tribe?" Asked Tanjiro.

''Yes, I think they can help you out.'' Said the rower.

The rower soon started to make his way to the block of ice that the siblings were on it.

''Katara! What are you doing?" Asked Sokka.

''Please, they need help and we are the only people from miles away.'' Said Katara.

Tanjiro and the rower soon arrived at the block of ice, Sokka was with a spear ready from action while Katara looked excited.

''Sir do you need any help?" Asked Katara.

''Yes, we were heaving out for the Water Tribe of the South but there are Fire Nation ships around these areas.'' Said the rower.

''Fire nation ships! What they want in here?'' Asked Sokka.

''I believe just a search of the perimeter.'' Said the rower.

''What are your business in here?" Asked Sokka.

''I don't have nothing, its him.'' Said the rower presenting Tanjiro.

The sibling saw Tanjiro and wondered where was he from, because his clothes and style was very different from either the Water Tribe or the Earth Kingdom.

''Greetings, my name is Tanjiro Kamado.'' Said Tanjiro.

''And what brings to these parts, Tanjiro Kamado?" Asked Sokka.

''I need to talk to Miss Kanna.'' Said Tanjiro.

The siblings look at that in shock.

''How do you know her name!'' Scream Sokka.

''Is she a friend of yours?" Asked Tanjiro.

''She is our grandmother.'' Said Katara.

''Oh that's perfect, I am student of a friend of her named Sakonji Urokadaki. He told me to meet her in case I have questions about Water Bending.'' Said Tanjiro.

''Oh great, Gram Gram never talks about her past and now we know she had a friend who has a student. I can't wait to hear more.'' Said Katara excited.

''Well good luck kid, I hope you get there in safety.'' Said the rower.

Once the rower was gone, Tanjiro was now with the two siblings.

''Wait a minute, we are now the guides for this guy?!'' Asked Sokka.

''I am sorry, but we have no other option.'' Said Tanjiro.

'Its ok, we will take you there. Our boat is nearby, and we can get there before its get dark.'' Said Katara.(AN: Their boat wasn't fully destroyed by Katara, they can still use it, but it won't around for too long.)

''Great, I promise to not cause any trouble or any annoyance.'' Said Tanjiro.

Katara was excited to meet someone from outside of the Water Tribe, she never saw someone like this. He was even wearing earrings, something she never imagined a dude wearing.

''Hey! Don't get too cozy, I´m still not sure about you! One wrong move and you are on my list, go it!'' Said Sokka.

''Understood!'' Said Tanjiro.

'By the way what´s with the box?" Asked Sokka.

''Oh this is…a really precious thing from my family.'' Said Tanjiro all nervous.

''Whatever, people have weird ways.'' Said Sokka.

''Sokka!'' Said Katara annoyed.

Tanjiro took a deep breath, he couldn't let people know about Nezuko, otherwise it will be chaos everywhere.

''Lets get the boat before the waves get to strong or…'' Said Sokka but then something started to happen in their surroundings.

Tanjiro saw the water emitting a weird light, he didn't know what it was.

''What is that?" Asked Tanjiro.

''Is the Water of the Water Tribe. Are you that….'' Asked Sokka ready to make a comeback, but then the siblings saw what he was talking about.

The light came out stronger and stronger, to the point that was hard to see what was in front of them.

Tanjiro couldn't smell anything either, the cold was messing up with his nose.

''What is that?" Asked Tanjiro.

''I have no idea?" Asked Katara

Then something emerged from the water, breaking a ton of ice and the siblings fishing boat. It was a huge iceberg, however what was inside it was the most frightening.

Inside was a boy with arrows in his body, he looked like he was meditating, and he opened his eyes which were glowing.

''He´s alive! We have to help him.'' Said Katara grabbing Sokka boomerang.

''Hey! Katara get back here!'' Scream Sokka.

Katara started hitting the ice many times, but it wasn't working.

''Let me help.'' Said Tanjiro.

Tanjiro took out his sword, much to Sokka shock.

''A sword!'' Scream him.

The demon Slayer came with a great amount of strength to hit the ice, in one attack he managed to crack the entire thing.

Crash

Then a huge beam of light came out of the iceberg, the trio didn't know what was that but it was strong.

In the Fire Nation Ship.

This certain ship was a special one, because it had the fire Nation prince Zuko, and the elder brother of the current fire lord, the great General Iroh. While sailing Zuko spotted the beam of light.

''Uncle! See that light, do you know what that means?" Asked Zuko.

''I won't get to finish my game?'' Asked Iroh playing a game with some tea.

''It means my search is about to come to an end.'' Said Zuko.

''Ugh.'' Said Iroh tired.

''That light came from an incredibly powerful source. It has to be him.'' Said Zuko serious.

''Oh its jus the celestial lights. We´ve been down this road before, prince Zuko. I don't want you to get too excited over nothing. Please, seat. Why don't you enoy a cup of calming Jasmine tea?" Asked Iroh.

''I don't need any calming tea! I need to capture the Avatar! Helmsman, head a course for the light!'' Said Zuko to the ship helmsman.

Iroh saw that and he saw that his next piece had the Air Nomad symbol, wondering if this was just coincidence or faith.

Back to the trio

The siblings and Tanjiro were wondering what that light was. That didn't make any sense and they wanted to see what was wrong with that boy.

''What is going on?'' Asked Katara.

Soon the light stopped, and the boy hit the snow, Katara and Tanjiro looked at him with worry.

Sokka poked at him with his spear, making sure that he wasn't going to do anything serious.

''Would you stop!'' Scream her.

The boy soon awaken, making the group look surprise.

''I need to ask you something.'' Saaid him.

''I am listening.'' Said Katara.

''Please come closer.'' Said the kid.

''What is it?" Asked Tanjiro.

Then he turned a whole 180 and looked all happy and cheerful, instead of tired.

''Will you go Penguin sledding with me?" Asked him.

The group looked at that in confusion, they didn't expect that to be the next question.

''Uh sure.'' Said Katara.

''Great!' Scream the kid excited.

This would be the start of a great friendship, one that would take 100 years to get made.

So yes, Tanjiro has meet the Water Bending siblings and Aang. The idea of bending and the Breath Technique be connected isn't that off from an idea. I mean, you can do the bending if you are connected with nature and the breathing technique is a very rare thing to have, you can do it, but it takes a long time to achieve it. Tanjiro took years to master Water Breathings, Zenitsu was gifted with his powers and Inosuke managed to taught himself.

I think this was a good choice. Well thank you all.
