Penelope's POV
I had such a bad feeling arriving at the hotel. I couldn't get Rodney out of my head. He's such a disgusting pig. I cringed.
I went through my suitcase trying to find something to wear on the night out. I shook the feeling out of my gut and decided to have a good night with my team so we could all forget about this and go home tomorrow morning.
I settled on a black slim fitting dress with thin spaghetti straps and my sandals. I took one last in the mirror and then met JJ out in the hallway.
"Wow Pen, you look amazing." She exclaimed.
"Thanks JJ. Shall we go?" I asked as the last of the team joined us in the hallway. We decided to take a cab to the local bar so nobody had to be a designated driver.
We entered the bar and the first thing I noticed was the loud music and the people on the dance floor. We all gathered around a table toward the back and Emily went to order our drinks.
"Hey Miss. You look awfully beautiful tonight. You wanna dance with me?" I heard a deep voice next to me. I turned my head and shook my head as I got up and smiled at my ladies.
We hit the dance floor. A old hip hop song came over the speakers and we started to bump and grind.
"Get it Pen!" I heard Emily shout as she joined with another fella on the dance floor.
We spent another 30 minutes dancing before I excused myself and returned to the table.
"Wow Garcia, you really got some moves." Said Spencer
"Thanks my little genius. You should learn something so you can join us next time." I laughed and so did he.
I continued to sip on my martini, as the team and I had a good time out after ending such a horrific case.
I reached the bottom of my martini and decided to call it a night.
I leaned into JJ "I think I'm gonna call it a night but don't let me ruin your guys fun!" I shouted over the music
"Are you sure Pen? I can go with you." She replied.
"No JJ. I promise. I'm just gonna turn in tonight. I'll meet you guys at the jet in the morning." I said giving her a smooch on the cheek.
I stepped out of the bar and a breeze hit me. It felt so nice outside. I looked both ways down the somber street. Not a taxi in sight. I took a breath of fresh air and started to head down the sidewalk. I heard a whisper and I stopped to look around. Nothing. I hustled down the sidewalk. Trying to find a busy street to hail a cab back to the hotel.
I heard it again and I sped up my walking. Before I knew it arms wrapped around me and I got shoved down a dark alleyway.
"Shut up bitch. I told you I'd catch ya later." I heard a menacing laugh and I started to pray as he led me down this dark alley and then I remember where I heard that voice before.
Rodney.
