Notes: Goodish news, SOME progress has been made with Olympic Exploits, I am TRYING to get Smeg to have it finished for next year's Olympics. We'll see. Sadly he still doesn't want to work on anything else, so FSM only knows about anything else. Also, don't be mad, but I have an idea for something else. I won't post it till it's complete though so don't worry. Anyway, you know the drill. Bechloe Week '23 yo! bechloeweek2023 dot tumblr dot com

~~~ Day 1 - Reunion ~~~
Beca stood gazing out at Lake Union. She looked to the left and saw the Space Needle in the distance. She didn't even try to stop the smile that came to her face. She loved Los Angeles and the life she had there, but Seattle was her home, and she was happy to be home. Her grandmother was turning 75 and she had the idea to have a family reunion in lieu of a party, which everyone was happy to agree to. Still her introverted nature meant Beca needed a short break.
"You can't have been here that long and you're out here already?" Beca heard her cousin Stacie ask from behind her.
"it got a little overwhelming, everyone so concerned how I'm doing in Los Angeles." Beca answered, taking a swig of her beer. "The olds can't seem to grasp that I'm happy where I'm at. I get good money at the radio station and I have a regular gig at a popular club. Plus Uncle Marty still thinks my name is Rebecca. I'm 25, he should know this by now.
"Boomers." Stacie chuckled. "So, how long have you been home?"
"I flew in Thursday, am staying with my Moms." Beca explained. "It's been great, I had Dick's in my mouth yesterday."
"We will never ourgrow that joke." Stacie smiled. "As great as Boston is, there are things I miss."
"So where's the fiancée?" Beca asked, turning to face her cousin.
"You know how the I-5 is." Stacie brushed it off.
"Yeah but that still doesn't explain where she is. " Beca continued
"She was visiting her family in Portland, asking her cousin to be her maid of honor, and she's driving up today." Stacie explained.
"I still can't believe you're getting married." Beca said.
"What can I say, Aubrey is amazing." Stacie smiled. "I never would have thought when I decided to get my PhD at M.I.T. I'd meet a Harvard Law student from Portland. Like, how often did we used to make fun of Portland?"
"A lot." Beca laughed.
"At least we could keep an N.B.A. team." Aubrey said, joining the conversation.
"How are your M.L.B., N.F.L., and N.H.L. teams doing?" Beca asked, turning to the blonde. She was about to say more when she saw the redhead following her.
"Beca, this is Aubrey, my fiancée." Stacie said, introducing the two.
"And this is my cousin Chloe" Aubrey added "I hope you don't mind, but when she agreed to be my maid of honor, she wanted to come meet Stacie since she wasn't able to make it to Portland."
"You're DJ 22!" Chloe said excitedly. "I love your show and I've seen you spin at Violet's."
"Chloe's studying to be a vet at UCLA." Aubrey explained.
"And if you've been to Violet's, I presume you're into girls?" Beca asked
"Yeah." Chloe nodded. "I'm not gay like Aubrey is, I'm bi, is that a problem?"
"That's fine, my mom and my cousin are bi." Beca brushed it off.
"I'm pan." Stacie interjected.
"I've got other cousins." Beca smiled at the taller woman who just raised an eyebrow at her. "My mom is bi and my cousin is pan. Even though I don't see a difference, at least I don't make jokes about cookware."
"That's good of you." Chloe smirked. "So, yes, I'm bi."
"Would you maybe want to go out sometime when we get back to L.A.?" Beca asked
"I'd love to." Chloe grinned. "I just can't wait to see my classmates' reactions when I tell them I'm going on a date with a girl I met a family reunion."
